don't think I'll ever forgive nor forget the foul way the writers and this fandom treated robby keene. giving him a social media partnership as a consolation prize is not enough, he deserved to win on screen and be recognised as the excellent fighter he is, not whatever season six was. robby keene simply deserved better.

So, to recap, over the course of 6 seasons, Robby has been: abandoned by his father, neglected by his mother, injured by Hawk, cheated on by Sam, attacked by Miguel, betrayed by Daniel, beaten by Shawn, abandoned again by Johnny, used by Kreese, emotionally hurt by Tory, nerfed by the writers in the ST, and SA by Zara. And still anyone wonders why his fans feel aggrieved at the prospect of him not winning the ST?

the memes where Johnny forgets Robby is his son are hilariously sad so someone write a super angsty fic where Johnny gets drunk (in a happy way) at Miguel’s graduation party and makes a moving speech where he says he loves him and he’s proud of him and he’s like the son he’s never had. That Miguel’s changed him for the better and he never had a reason to change before.

Most people are like awh, how sweet because they’ve forgotten momentarily about Robby except maybe Amanda who is amazed at Johnnys audacity.

And Robby is just standing there broken hearted because it just confirms to him that Johnny doesn’t love him, never had and never will.

Sorry for the sad words, but after seeing the leaks for part 3, watching the video of the premiere date for part 3 of the sixth season didn't make me excited, not even that incredible blow from Robby on Axel. The video tries to convey the idea that Robby will have a good, satisfying and coherent ending, but anyone who has seen the leaks knows that is not the case. It's very unfair that the script always creates something (loss of focus or injuries) to prevent Robby from winning a tournament so that another fighter can win.

Kreese apologized to Johnny... they even had a heartfelt talk with Johnny saying he felt abandoned. They talked about their past... WTH??!??!?! He UNDERSTANDS how it feels, why coudn't he apologize to Robby?

Personally I just think that the last scene in Cobra Kai season 6 part 3 should be all the kids and the parents at the teens’ graduation party and its just them all looking happy and having fun dancing to some shitty pop / pop-punk song like Best song ever or Paper rings or Sk8er Boi or like something by paramore or something. just something shitty that they can all rock out to and have fun yk?

I live for your CK takes. So what do you think about how the show handled Robbie? Sexual harrassment aside (lets not even touch that because... yikesTM), I think his time wth/at Cobra Kai may have settled the miyagi philosophy (KK did confirm it's the right path) more than staying with Miyagi-do would have. He learned a lot and helped other people, too. Though I do wish the show had fixed the relationship he had with Daniel, it was very heartwarming and uplifting, and both learned a lot from each other. The way they handled Johnny-Robbie, on the other hand, makes me really uncomfortable, because it feels neither right nor organic to what the show was the 1st 2 seasons (good ol' times).

If I were Robby, I'd think I was somehow cursed, and would try to find a medium to get me out of the Matrix because something about his life, particularly after he wounded Miguel, must feel off kilter. No one is that unlucky. The fact that he doesn't have a relationship with Daniel anymore is strange. The way he feels compelled, by something outside of himself, must be, to return to Johnny, who he knows is a deadbeat who has long replaced him with Miguel. Apparently Johnny did Miguel's rehab like singlehandedly but he was too drunk to show up for one (1) visit in Juvie. His mom - where is his mom? It feels like she got written out of The Truman Show. Does he have an extended family of any kind? He... Can't recall. Why can't he leave? Why is he in his Dad's shitty apartment? He wants to be there for his girlfriend but there is only static in his brain. He must fight, and lose. Fight, and lose. For whom? He doesn't know. There's only fight and lose. Fight and lose...

In all seriousness, I might have just about bought Robby's detour in joining Kreese, because he does like to lash out by joining the enemy: he did the same to Johnny when he joined LaRusso auto. But his whole arc in S4 should have culminated in Robby rejoining Daniel and moving back in with him. Johnny is there all the time anyway. Enough potential for teen drama if the show needed that. But the show only takes sick pleasure in hurting him. They don't care about his dreams or his heart. That's the only reason I think him and Tory are still together, despite Tory's massive homicidal crush on Samantha. Tory is in a Saw trap, which is close enough to Robby's Gothic horror that they can still relate to each other.

I might come across as intense when it comes to robby keene, but as the eldest daughter of a deadbeat, neglectful father who thinks directing a couple words my way once a year makes up for all that he's done (or haven't) and whom I had to sit back and watch build a new family, take care of his wife's son and love and care for his newborn kid like he never did for me, I can't never be too serious about him.

I don’t understand why some Cobra Kai fans fight so hard against Robby being hard done by because of the Johnny and Miguel dynamic.

The fact of the matter is (and what we’ve seen time and time again):

Johnny and Miguel have a better relationship that has been well developed by the writers.

Miguel comes first for Johnny aka missing the visit in juvie.

Any scenes with just Johnny and Robby centre on Miguel or centre on there being conflict between them.

Johnny went to Mexico for Miguel but couldn’t go down the street to get Robby from Cobra Kai.

Robby had to reach out to Johnny at the end of season 4.

Johnny didn’t lift a finger to patch up their relationship during season 4. He cared more about Daniel and Miguel’s relationship then the fact his son was sleeping in a dojo and under the care of a man who once tried to kill him.

We’ve never seen Johnny be actively protective towards Robby. We see this in season 3 when he attacks Kreese at Cobra Kai after seeing Miguel hurt.

Like Johnny and Miguel fans are winning! We all know that!

It’s just the lack of acknowledgment that Johnny is a neglectful parent and that his relationship with Robby is horrendously developed that annoys me

With the recent leaks of part 3 of the sixth season of Cobra Kai, I learned that we should not create expectations about the script of a series that prioritizes fan favoritism in some characters to the detriment of a good, satisfactory and coherent narrative outcome for other characters.

What was the point of writing these scenes for Robby? Apparently, the purpose of these scenes was just to create expectations that would never be met. 🤷🏻‍♀️

SPOILERS FOR COBRA KAI SEASON SIX BELOW.

Well, there you have it, Robby won a fight, he beat Miguel and he became Captain. This was a small victory to appease Robby fans, as if we didn't already know that he's the better fighter. It all just feels lacking. And it is now clear, more than ever, that he won't be winning the Sekai Tekai, and the writers of CK will be handing it over to Miguel, as usual. Robby's character won't get the justice it deserves, Robby won't get the win he deserves. And Tory turning to Kreese, her "leaving" Robby proves he'll lose. Because if Kenny is Robby's weakness, then Tory is certainly his strength, his win against Miguel made that clear. During his fight, when he saw her, he gained on Miguel. Now, during the SK, my boy's got to lead his team to victory, fight against the best there is while his girl fights on the team against him. Tory and Robby not sticking together, not winning together, him not being able to be there for her in her grief, not being able respond to her violence with softness, him not being able to hold her down, her not being on "his side", her not being his strength, will cost him in the tournament. Why can't my babies be happy?
