We watched “Roadrunner” (The doc about Anthony Bourdain), last night. If you were a fan of him or his book or many shows, it’s a must see and very well done. It tackles his complicated legacy without overtly trying to answer the central question of, why? There are great interviews with many of the people closest to him but there is one huge one missing. There is no interview with his girlfriend Asia Argento, who features prominently in the third act. I assumed she declined, but after a little digging apparently the filmmaker, Morgan Neville decided not to ask her. An interesting choice, to say the least and I think not fair to her or the whole story. A missed opportunity. The film had me walking away with a second “why?” question… I’ve crossed paths with all 3 of them over the years for various projects. These are some of those images. Tonight I’m watching an online screening of @roadrunnermovie (thanks @focusfeatures !) so I decided to treat myself to a fancy dinner from @settlersalem . It was my first time getting food from them and everything is delicious. I especially like the falafel and shishito peppers. And everything I got is either vegetarian or vegan. I really appreciate that they offer a variety of options.
