Life Satisfaction

⏩ This mod measures a Sim's well-being and gives satisfaction points, buffs, & effects on Fun or Energy Needs based on previous mood experiences.

Staying in a positive mood increases your Sim’s Life Satisfaction. Oppositely, being in a negative mood decreases Life Satisfaction.

Although The Sims 4 offers various ways to earn Simoleons, there is always room for more options. A notable drawback of The Sims 4: Get To Work expansion is that Sims cannot live in their business, and businesses are limited to retail stores. The Live in Business mod solves this by allowing Sims to turn their homes into business hubs, enabling them to run bars, cafés, nightclubs, gyms, daycares, pet daycares, and vet clinics from home.

1. Mortem By SimRealist

The Sims 4 includes the ability to plan and host events like birthdays, weddings, and holiday services, but funeral services are missing. The Mortem mod addresses this gap by allowing players to add meaningful funeral services to their gameplay. It introduces a detailed death experience, where Sims remain dead on the floor until the death is reported, examined, and prepared for burial. Need some advice (please)

First: Can’t quite decide if to put a certain selection of mods back into my game. I kind of want anti-fear training for pets, choose helmet and leftovers, and the SimRealist suite. Right now I only have MCCC and roBurkys fitness controls as necessities and the game is running almost with Last Exception errors and the like…

Second: I’d like to take next steps in my Tumblr. What I really want is a template to present pictures/posts as photos, with a Polaroid style frame I can stick a line of text on. Anyway, I’m a complete novice at editing and have no real idea what software to use to put background/overlay on. Tips would be much appreciated.

my decades challenge index

I have begun two different Decades Challenges, one I played from 1890 to 1960 and the other I didn't make much progress in. In both of these, I realized that I'm too much of a control freak and needed to do more prep before committing to the challenge!

Thus, I've indexed all of my hard work below in case you, too, are looking to control everything like I am :) I will update as I find new mods and items that improve my gameplay

I am using a mix of various rules from different creators.

IllusoryThrall's Decade's Challenge (Hard Mode) for starting money, starting age, and MCCC settings*

MorbidGamer's spreadsheets, death rolls, and aging (I'll be using four sim days per year rather than IllusoryThrall's two sim days per year)

Finally, a mix of IllusoryThrall and cutecoffeegal's Decades Challenge Rules for each decade of active gameplay guidelines

some extra details - I highly recommend MorbidGamer's spreadsheets for keeping track of everything, you can find them linked in the Google Doc for the challenge; I am not starting in 1300, so I deleted all of the cells in my copy until 1890 - I'm making minor changes to IllusoryThrall's rules as far as their gameplay settings, but I am using their holidays - Likewise, I'm making some small changes to cutecoffeegal's standard rules for personal preference towards storytelling, so I might allow an heir to be a woman depending on the story I wish to tell

I have lots of experience with mods, but this challenge requires more tuning than I'm used to. I've tried to lay everything out here for you! If you need it, here's a quick tutorial on how to put mods and custom content in your game

roburky's Meaningful Stories : Adds depth to the experiences of my sims

adeepindigo's Healthcare Redux : I love adeepindigo's mods, they integrate so well with the game; I'm only using Healthcare Redux for now to simulate realistic sickness and medical care

BrazenLotus's Harvest & Gather, Crafting, and Food & Drink : Another great mod that allows you to farm, craft, preserve, and cook in a more period-appropriate way; it took me a while to get this working how I wanted, but it's so worth it

chingyu's 100 Base Game Traits : The lack of traits in Sims 4 is one of my biggest complaints, so I broke the rules of the challenge a bit to give my sims more interesting, life-impacting traits while keeping close to the decade

The Peridot Project's Shorter University Mod [4 credits] : I use this mod to remain true to the timing of the challenge; 4 credits/2 weeks simulates four years in-game

Triplis's Quit or Join School : In case I need my teens to quit school

Overrides !!I recommend keeping your overrides separate from mods in your game folder!!

In-depth Emotions

A simple tuning mod to give all EA in-game emotions four intensity stages for storytelling.

Base-Game Compatible

Compatible with my other mods

New Names of each Emotional Stage are shown in the table on the Mod Info Page

Other Minor Features: 

Lowest-intensity emotions now have toned-down effects on autonomy and skills; 

Second and Third stages share the same effects on autonomy and skills as the original EA lowest emotional stages; 

Fourth stage works the same as the original highest emotional stages

Compatibilities With Other Mods

Remove chingyu_BalancedLifeSeparate_GlobalLessExtremeMoodsOverride.package from Balanced Life Separate Edition if you use that mod. They edit the same game tunings. 

This mod won't affect any custom mood packs e.g. Lumpinou's mood pack!

If you use Meaningful Stories by roBurky, remove their MeaningfulStories-TrueHappiness-MoodColor.package because this contains mood overrides. Their main mod module is compatible with In-depth Emotions.

Gen 5. Belle #43 Typewriters

Belle was unexpectedly chipper the day after "the incident."

Adam sheepishly joined Belle for a game of chess.

He tried to bring up the incident in the bathroom. Belle: "Let's... just forget the whole thing. But I was wondering if..."

Adam was delighted; he had never seen Belle's genuine smile before.

I'm missing Roburky's Meaningful Stories mod at this point...they seemed too happy considering the embarrassing encounter.
