I don't know if any season of Dimension 20 will ever top Starstruck Odyssey. It has so much incredible chaos and yet every plot beat still manages to land and it's glorious. Also, I love how they made me care so much about the finances of their small space mercenary business—things like joining a union, getting a sponsor, paying health care bills, doing online banking in the middle of combat, etc. It gave the season a really strong sense of progression and a very grounded and relatable set of stakes.

after literal months of on-and-off work, I’m proud to say that the first-draft riva doll is finally done !!!! i’ve never actually made anything nearly this big or complex before. while the proportions are a *little* off (unfortunately, even though i referenced both d20 official art and Starstruck itself, i haven’t been able to get a ton of great full-body references) i still love this thing so much- riva is one of my favorite d20 characters and it was really fun trying to pick through my various textile supplies trying to figure out which ones would work to use (almost none of the supplies i used were actually meant to be used the way i used them, so there were definitely a lot of hiccups). i might go back and make some edits later to fix proportions, change pose, or add more fins to the legs, etc, and i would like to take some more aesthetically pleasing photos of the doll where you can actually see the fins i put on all the limbs and stuff, but to be honest i have put so much labor into this project (literally having shed blood, sweat, and tears) that i think im happy with how it turned out for now. i’m already drafting up an aurora nebbins design, and although that will definitely come with its own unique challenges (SO many teeth), i hope to make the entire crew of the Wurst someday (although i suspect this day will not be for a long, long time).

people are free to dislike starstruck for a confusing plot or not enjoy the setting, but the main thing I love about is how much fun the players seemed to have with it. all of the players seemed to have a blast with it, everyone got a storyline (whether it be silly or not) and when the players enjoy themselves I do too
