Hey! This is just an introductory oneshot so you guys can get an idea of what type of things I like to write :)
Just as a heads up, none of my fics will contain NSFW! I'm aroace and don't really like writting that kind of content, so... The most you're gonna get out of me is maybe the implication of that happening :)
Anyways, enjoy tsundere blue bird x goat dragon god thing
Also, as a little context
Zonais are not extinct in this reality! They're part of the main species that live in Hyrule, and have been for a long time. They function like any other town and species in-game, in other words. And, of course, they each got one ability (rather than all five shown in TOTK). In this case, it doesn't matter which one "(Y/N)" has :)
Anyways, enjoy!
The moon rose in the sky as you and Revali slept together in his hut, barely fitting in his hammock. It is a Rito tradition to sleep in hammocks rather than beds. It’s more comfortable thanks to their large wings… still, beds were still present at the inn in town. Revali had practically forced you to stay, not listening to any excuses.
Right now, the couple slept together inside the hut, keeping warm by cuddling close. You could hear Revali’s soft, quiet breaths as he nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck, mumbling something incoherent as he slept. You, on the other hand, were having a difficult time getting to sleep. Why? Well, it was a rough day…
After a little while of struggling to try to sleep, you managed to finally get your eyes to close and your body to relax. As you drifted off into sleep… you felt Revali’s large wing (err, hand) wrap around you tighter than before.
“Mmh… mine…” Were the words you managed to make out from Revali’s babbling. As a slight blush crept up your face, you turned to see the Rito’s face. A slight frown curved his yellow brows as he held you tight.
“... how adorable.” You thought as a slight smile curved your lips. You leaned down to give Revali a little smooch on his head before trying to go back to sleep, but… said kiss landed on the Rito’s beak instead. In slight shock, you broke the kiss and sat up, looking down at Revali as a furious blush came to your cheeks and ears. “What? Took you by surprise, love?” The Rito chuckled mischievously, wiping the saliva off his beak as he sat up as well, his bare feathered chest shining in the moonlight. That signature smirk of his turned his beak.
“I-I…” You stumbled all over your words, still in slight shock from the unexpected teasing kiss from your boyfriend.
“Heh, how cute. You’re all flustered from just a single kiss.” Revali sighed, his voice laced with both affection and teasing, his wing reaching to gently caress your large, fluffy ears. He knew how sensitive they were, of course.
“W-wha… where’s all this coming from…?” You sighed as he continued to caress your ears, which only made your fluster get worse and worse.
“What? Can’t I tease you just because?” Revali’s smirk only grew more noticeable as he spoke, his wing finally leaving your ear alone and instead wrapping you in a half hug. “I just felt like making your face red, is all… you look adorable, by the way.”
Those caring yet teasing words from Revali caused a slight giggle to escape your lips. “Of course… Goddess, he’s such a tease.” You thought and rolled your eyes.
“I just… I can’t with you sometimes…” You sighed, your ears tilting down a bit as you relaxed into the hug, your own arm wrapping around Revali’s waist to hold him close as well.
“Hey, what is that supposed to mean?” Revali responded, his tone filled with insult as he looked up at you with a raised brow. Of course he’d get insulted by that… that’s just how Revali is.
“Nothing, nothing…” You reiterated, laughing playfully before giving him a playful little smooch on the cheek. “Just that I love you.”
Seems like you’re not the only one who gets flustered by a simple action… Revali’s cheeks flared up with a pink tint from just a single kiss from you. He quickly turned away and looked out the window besides the hammock, staring up at the moon in an attempt to hide his fluster. “Shut up.” He retorted, grumbling some gibberish under his breath. Such a grumpy little bird…

Ngl your rito Link concept is very interesting. I actually want to see him and Revali get into more funny/fluffy interactions.
Speaking of which, what's your personal headcanon for Rito Link and Revali?
I am very glad you’re enjoying him/them!
tbh I also wanna draw them getting into more fluffy silly situations. I have had this animation thought rotting around in my skull with them flying together (that I simply do not have the skill to make right now ;-; ) They are both just goofy teens!!
Not quite sure what you meant by personal headcanons so I’m gonna assume you mean for their relationship. Rito Link isn’t native to the village, he probably moved there at a young teen age. Both him and Revali have had a rocky start; Revali wasn’t the nicest to the outsider kid and Link was a bit of a brat who holds a grudge. Eventually puberty hits and Revali finds his gaze being drawn to the other rito’s dusky gold feathers more than he’d care to admit (and also finds himself acting more a fool than he ever imagined he could). Link finds the whole thing more annoying than anything. He has no real interest in any of the boys in the village and their stupid posturing. It’s only after Revali has some humbling experience (not sure what atm) that Link warms up to the idea of his companionship as a friend.
They immediately become inseparable, one can hardly be found without the other nearby and soon the village jokes start. It makes their friendship weird. Over time (and maybe some secret experimentation on their parts) they admit that perhaps they’re fonder for each other, more than friends.
and then they become rito villages worst warrior menaces of all time

Revalink Week day 4 - Home / "Keep Breathing"
I ended up using both prompts for this one! It's a little shorter, because I ended up struggling to figure out what to write lol, but it's done! I hope you enjoy!
The day was darkening, the sun setting behind the far horizon. The sound of wood smacking against wood was the only thing that could be heard behind the storm that had started just outside the building. Revali stood, opposite Link, wooden sword in hand. He was panting softly. He had nothing but his battle skirt on, his feathered chest bare, revealing the white belly that he sported. Link had the same wooden sword, he was sporting his usual pair of Hylian trousers, his face as unmoving as always when he was in concentration. The two lunged forwards again, clashing swords once, twice. Link quickly strafed back, dodging Revali’s next blow, before throwing himself forwards. The Rito was tackled to the ground, panting. He let out a frustrated, tired grumble. Link had his blade pressed into the ground next to Revali’s head. “Ugh..” He flopped his head back, closing his eyes. “You win again.” Link smiled, letting out a chuckle. He flopped onto the floor next to him. “I guess you want to gloat now, hm?” The Rito champion let out his own chuckle. The Hylian tapped his shoulder, causing him to look over, opening an eye to see him. Link had stuck out his tongue and pulled down his eyelid with his forefinger in mockery. The Rito let out a scoff, which then shortly after burst into laughter. He put his large, feathered hand on the back of Link’s head, pulling him in close, laying his head on his fluffy chest. “You’re so charming. You know that?” He looked down at him, who was giving him the widest grin he could. “Truly an attitude only I, the Great Revali, could match.” He put his free hand on his chest dramatically, speaking in his former snark. This caused Link to laugh his cure, giggly little laugh, which, in turn, caused Revali to match his laugh with his own. Link clambered onto Revali, flopping on top of him, causing the Rito to let out an “Oomph!” He looked up at him. “You’re so heavy.” He sighed. The Hylian sat up, dramatically gasping in hyperbole offense, which caused Revali to laugh again. “You are! You’d think with all that exercise you do, you’d be lighter. Hylia, I can barely even fly while holding you!” Of course, Link repeated his dramatic gasp, putting his forearm on his head and feigning fainting. He lifted his hands and signed “It’s all muscle!” He pouted a little, lifting up and flexing his arm. “You can’t swing giant weapons without being as heavy as them!” The Rito chuckled, reaching out and ruffling up Link’s messily made ponytail of blonde hair. The Hero laughed again, pushing his hand away. Soon enough, the two’s light-hearted, affectionate banter ended up devolving into them just cuddling happily on the floor of the flight range. “Hey, Revali?” Link looked up to his Rito lover. “Hm?” He looked back, tilting his head up to see his face and hands better. “Promise me that you won’t die.” Revali hummed a bit. “Alright. I won’t die.” Link shuffled up into a sitting position. “Promise me.” He signed, pouting. “Promise me that, no matter what, you’ll keep breathing. That your heart will always beat and that you’ll always be alive, and by my side.” “Alright, alright.” Revali chuckled. “I promise.” Link held out his hand, pinky extended. This caused the Champion to sigh a little, holding out his own hand, his own pinky extended and locking with Link’s. “Pinky promise.” He added. “I pinky promise, that, no matter what, I won’t die and will always be by your side.” He chuckled. Link’s pout turned into a smile as he nodded. Revali let out a small, endearing laugh. “Alright, now let’s go get changed.” He started sitting up. “I’m still all hot from that training.”

     For all that's changed in these past moon phases ( and wow, is it a lot ), Tulin still starts moulting exactly one whole winter from his last shed feather. It's kinda funny, 'cause being the Sage of Wind can feel like such a grand undertaking that he almost forgets these little things can happen to him. S'not usually something he makes a big deal of, anyway — not when everyone goes through the same thing, asks the same questions, and gives the same ol' answers.
     'Cept this time, over a dinner of seafood curry, when Cree picks up one of his fallen quills to hand back to him with a teasing, "Got anyone special to preen this winter?" — it's not the same ol' answer that comes fresh to Tulin's mind.
     It creeps on him slow, like if a Chuchu knew how to hunt. Fragments of maybe-connected thoughts that emerge so casually as Molli turns to repeat the question, even more teasing-teasing-teasing — then it pounces. Creeping like a Chuchu; hitting him like a lit bomb arrow.
     Maybe he does have someone special to preen this winter. Special enough to wanna give one of his feathers to when he isn't his mum or dad or Molli or Uncle Harth or nest or even, technically, flock.
     Tulin's not sure how to feel 'bout it.
     On one wing — a friend! Stars, a really, really close friend that's special enough to be more, one he's happy to be able to love lots! Happy to have fought with when his home needed it! Happy to continue fighting with now! Happy to have travelled with, and seen an awful lotta awesome stuff with, and done so many impossibly cool things with, and learnt so much from as a warrior and not-a-warrior, and—
     "It sounds like you've already figured out how you 'feel about it', Tulin," Mum gently tells him, in the split second it takes for him to take a breath from all his babbling.
     "So...it's okay?" Some part of him knows he doesn't need to, but he peeks up at her and Dad with a chick's eyes — the ones he swore off of — 'cause he really wants this to be okay. Like, really badly needs this to be okay. "With you guys?"
     Dad smiles real soft, and that's a yes if Tulin ever saw one.
     Turns out, there's a lotta preparations you gotta do before you can invite a Hylian over for a full preening.
     Most of it's the same as preparing to fully preen a Rito — like the collecting, the painting, the dying, and the weaving he leaves to Kido 'cause he wants his cords to look good. But there's also stuff like getting used to a specific hook-and-thread for Hylian hair, and trying to do the same with Hylian hair itself when you don't have any of it just lying 'round for practice.
     Eh. Tulin makes it work.
     By the time his guest of honour finally returns to their peaks, with how fluttery and restless Tulin's gotten, everybody knows to leave their hero be until he's done with him. Which is great! 'Cause, um. It's a while.
     Link's hair feels how it looks. Soft and a little fluffy, a lot thinner and harder to grab at than his own feathers. He ends up using his beak waaaay more than he thought he'd have to, but Link doesn't complain 'bout being preened like a hatchling, so he doesn't think to apologise for it. He chats when he can in between fixing up braids and pulling stupidly fine hair through bead openings, 'bout stuff like what he's been up to, what Link's been up to, did Link know Molli's got another new idea for her arrows, has Link gone to see that pretty, pink tree by the village's entrance, and everything else under the sun shining into the aerie.
     Before he knows it, he's tying off practically the last scrap of real free space left on Link's head with a cinch of his beak. He leans back, sorta tired, but — gazing upon all that he's put into those golden locks, at everything he's saying bright and loud and bombastically clear to everyone who'd bother to look ( and oh, they'd look, alright! ) — with a heart that feels almost worryingly full.
     He can't stop grinning as Hyrule's hero assesses his work. He traces it out with his touch, looks at it this way and that. Tulin doubts Link knows this when nobody's probably sat down and explained it to him, but the colours are important. 'Course they are. And, y'know, he doubts Link knows this even more: but to be given a Rito's quill is to be claimed.
     As flock, yeah, duh.
     As nest, though, too.
     For the one who believed in and took him to do what nobody else could in a time they needed it most; for the one who has given him another amazing something and someone to chase after ever since he was a fledgling; for the one who trusts in and— and loves him enough to sit here for ages and ages and ages 'til he's all done with his preening—
     For Link, it's as his big brother.
     ( "Yeah, you better love it!" Tulin laughs, a joke and earnest sincerity all at once. He returns the, "thank you, thank you," 'cause Link really was sat there for a while without a break — stars know he wouldn't be able to do the same without, like, exploding or something.
     Then Link's hands do something weird.
     T...wind. Huh? Is that...? He tilts his head, the question unvoiced but plainly written all over his beak: what's that s'pposed to mean? )

Ooooooh I’ve got a great idea, sooga goes to rito village to confront revali, the only other asshole (he’s a much better bitch than CIL) he knows, and tells him about the cil bullying situation, and no rito could possibly resist helping sooga, and revali can be the ONLY asshole in his group of friends so he ain’t having none of it... bassically I want revali to beat cils ass. hope your enjoying your day!
Oooh? An asshole with an asshole. I'm in, let's fucking go.
"Sooga’s here, Sooga’s here!!"
The rito women immediately started to preen themselves, so excited. Revali couldn't help but give himself a look over as well. Sooga was showing up, unannounced? And apparently without Kohga? Either it was business, or pleasure. Either way, Revali stepped out of his house, being met with the sight of the blade master. Big, strong, he was a real heart breaker amongst the rito.
"Sooga! We haven't seen you in such a long time!"
"Oh you've been keeping up the work out routine, haven't you?"
Sooga, as usual, was swimming in rito women. They surrounded him like feral dogs, clearly wanting his attention. Sooga HATED it, Revali could tell, but it was a sight to see. Sooga looked more uncomfortable than usual however, so Revali decided to be a peach, and break it up.
"Ladies, why don't you let the poor thing breathe?"
"But Revali!!!"
They whined, a few clasping onto his arm. Revali shooed them off, shaking his head.
"Quit being harpies, all of you. Why don't you all fetch him a snack instead, maybe something with fish. You like fish, right Sooga?"
Sooga nodded, trying his best to keep polite.
"I do enjoy fish. If it wouldn’t trouble you ladies-"
"Oh not at all! KRISSI YOU BITCH MOVE!"
They damn near trampled each other on their way to their respective cooking pots. Revali chuckled, opening his front door.
"They like you. You should be flattered, rito men would LOVE to have them flocking the way you do."
"I swear they were about to pick me clean, like vultures…"
He stepped inside Revali's abode, allowing himself to sit down and be served a cup of tea. Never snacks. Revali knew he hated eating, especially away from Kohga. Revali took a seat across from him, getting comfy.
"So. You show up here, unannounced. And without Kohga. For what reason?"
"I actually wanted to come see you. It's...something Kohga can't know about."
Revali was listening. Maybe he wasn't too far off in his assumptions. A little secret between  them, away from Kohga. With muscles like that, who could refuse? He nodded, taking a sip of his own drink.
"But of course, Sooga. Just ask for it."
Sooga took a sip, stalling. He wanted those stupid lips, and he wanted them now.
"I'm...not sure how to."
"Sooga, the shyness is endearing, but my time is VERY valuable. So...ask me."
Revali leaned in closer. He smelled mildly of sweat, and holy SHIT he wanted to jump on him right fucking now. Sooga nodded.
"Apologies. You're right. So, I will say it. I'm...struggling with a blade master. Cil. He keeps trying to take MY Kohga from me, keeps making me doubt my relationship with him. I feel as though it's...separating us, and he's...proud like you. I don't detest you as I do him, but I just thought you'd know how to...handle it. In a way."
Not where Revali thought this was going, at ALL. He sat back in his chair, trying to tell his body that his ever increasing boner wasn't needed.
"Are you. Are you saying you're being bullied?"
"It...sounds childish when you put it that way. No, it's...more like, he makes me doubt my work and my love for Kohga. I'm dutiful, and I love my Master, but Cil….gets in my head. I feel like I should...end things with Kohga, if I'm so weak to simple words."
Revali could totally abuse this. Agree with this Cil person, and be Sooga’s shoulder to cry on. But Revali didn't bully for spite. He bullied for the benefit of other’s. Link demanded the most trust from him, and in the process, became a trusted friend in arms. So, despite how much Revali REALLY wanted to suck off Sooga, he did what was right for Sooga.
"Don't be an idiot. Somehow you and Kohga love each other. And this Cil fellow- he's abusing the mushy parts about you to get what he wants. YOU need to remember that Cil isn't some all knowing being-he's manipulative. I want you to go home after this, pick up something special for Kohga, and remember what I told you. Do you understand?"
"....I do. That's, oddly kind of you, Revali."
"Yes yes, I know, I'm a saint really. Don't go telling Link, he'll expect the same treatment."
"If you stop bullying Link, I'll end up bullying YOU."
They both shared a chuckle at that. Them talking shit about Link was one of the things they bonded over. Revali was about to say something specific about Link, when Sooga reached over to hold his hand. Revali felt his feathers fluff up (how embarrassing), just melting under such a big, strong hand.
"Sooga-"
"I just. Thank you. It's...not something that's easy to talk about with other's. They're so kind and they don't understand. It makes the whole situation-"
"Asinine?"
Another chuckle at that. Revali REALLY liked that chuckle of his. He was going to push his luck, maybe try touching something else, when his house was promptly invaded. By eager, loud, rito women, each holding a plate of food.
"Sooga! I'm so sorry I kept you waiting! I brought my seafood curry!"
"Oh don't poison the poor man! Here, try my fish pie!"
"He might as well eat sawdust! Sooga, here, try some clam chowder!"
Sooga sighed, while Revali sat there, chuckling. Sooga didn't deserve all the pestering he got. The women's attention, Revali couldn't help. But he knew one thing he COULD do.
--------------------------
"Have a good one Cil! Try not to glare some poor soul to death!"
"And you, try not to catch a disease."
Von laughed at the retort, pulling his fellow blade master aside for a steamy, drunken, sloppy make out session. Cil had made the mistake of joining Von for drinks, and had a pretty awful time. Drinks were shitty, expensive, and all Von did the whole time was stick his hand in between several pairs of legs. Cil decided a walk home in the cold night air would do him some good.
"So YOU’RE Cil."
Cil stood still upon hearing the voice, as well as the crunch of leaves, slowly growing louder and louder. He slowly turned, just in time to see his sudden visitor. Revali, champion of the rito. Arguably the best archer of his kind. Had to be, to make up for that short stature.
"Take it you've been looking for me?"
"Yes, actually. You see, to put it bluntly, I hate how you've been treating a friend of mine."
"You wouldn't be the first. I also don't care."
Cil was already bored. He tried to turn around and walk off, when he stopped, feeling something breeze past his head. An arrow, now buried into the tree in front of him. He turned around, looking at that angry face, and the now drawn bow.
"I think it's time you start caring. I want you to stop it. And I'm being nice, asking you politely. Don't make me act uncouth."
"Unfortunate. Us Yiga don't care for manners, not towards our assailants."
They stared each other down for a moment, before Cil rushed him, blade drawn. Revali dodged, barely able to avoid being sliced, unlike the tree next to him. Revali fired, only to be forced to hide behind another tree, Cil somehow deflecting it with his drawn blade. Cil cracked his neck, slowly approaching Revali's hiding spot. This was way better than just some walk.
"Come now, little birdy. I'll clip your wings quickly if you come out now, rather than later. If you make me wait...I'll make these woods sing with your screams."
Revali turned quickly, firing his arrow. He aimed not for his shoulder or even his head. Instead, he aimed for his hands. The weapon fell as the arrow struck, but before Cil could reach for his weapon, Revali pointed the tip of the arrow at his forehead.
"You can save yourself the trouble. Leave. Sooga. Alone."
"Ah...he's your little buddy, huh? He's not even asking you to do this,"
Cil lifted his hands up in defeat, slowly walking backwards as Revali kept stepping forward, right until his back was against a tree.
"How both you AND Master Kohga care for him so much...I'll never know. But I DO know...that it is a mistake you will both pay for."
He quickly grabbed the arrow from the tree behind him, and jabbed it into Revali's shoulder. Revali was about to just bear it and retaliate, before Cil used his body to push him to the ground. It knocked the bow out of his hands, and Revali was on the forest floor, with Cil wrapping his hands around his throat, and squeezing. Revali flailed, trying to do ANYTHING to be free. He couldn't breathe. Couldn't think.
"I'm sorry Sooga was your demise. I pity you. I-"
He didn't get to finish as Revali managed to lift himself up a hit, and swipe his talons at him. It hit right at his face, not just scratching his features, but peeling off his mask. Revali leapt up, grabbing the mask and holding it tightly to his chest. Cil sat there, covering his bleeding face with both of his hands.
"GIVE IT BACK. YOU DO N O T DESERVE TO SEE MY FACE!"
Revali glared at him, meeting his eyes through his fingers.
"If you'll back off Sooga, I'll give it back."
"He is a MUTT-"
"I'll tell EVERYONE I saw your face."
"They won't believe you."
"Rumors are powerful. Many would LOVE to make people think its real, just to humiliate you. Care to risk it?"
Cil hesitated. But when Revali's claws started to glide down the wood, he was convinced.
"OKAY OKAY! JUST. GIVE ME THE MASK, AND WE'LL CALL IT TRUCE."
Revali had no idea these masks were such a huge fucking deal. Whatever. He tossed the mask in his direction, watching Cil frantically put it back on, smearing the blood on his mask. Revali picked his bow off the floor, putting it back into its holster.
"You yigas better keep your word."
Revali was in the skies in just a second, headed right for Zora's domain. He stopped at Mipha’s window, giving it a knock. She opened her window, immediately looking worried as she saw the state he was in.
"Revali! What happened, you poor thing?!"
"I was...helping a friend. Suppose you don't mind doing the same for me?"
Was this a stupid decision? Yes. Like Link level stupid. But...Revali didn't at all regret it. Not for Sooga.

Wild’s Journey
@rhythmicreality @tortilla-of-courage
... Yeah I decided to post this.
So, this it what happened to Wild and his tiny fluffy baby wings.
Also hey! Tag list!
-----------------------------
Link couldn’t remember a time without wings.
He couldn’t remember a lot of things, but that’s not the point here.
When he woke up, a woman’s voice softly urging him to open his eyes, he didn’t immediately know they were there. The liquid (water?) drained from the pool he was laying in and he sat up completely dry. He swung his legs over the side to get out and froze at the feeling of something fluttering on his back.
He reached back there, running his fingers along his shoulders. It took him a moment to realize that they were a part of him, and he grew confused as to why he wouldn’t know that. He knew his feet were part of him, why not these soft, fluffy things on his back?
He pushed it aside when the woman started talking again, figuring that if there was a reason then he’d figure it out.
The worn clothing he’d found in the chests didn’t accommodate the fluffy things, which he had a feeling were wings by now, and so for the first long stretch of his time on the Great Plateau they were pressed uncomfortably between skin and fabric.
He tried jumping off a cliff when the Old Man said he couldn’t make it off the Plateau without dying. The Old Man was right. His wings were too small to fly, and if he jumped then he would die.
The warm doublet had holes for his wings. It itched and made him sweat a little easier, but it had holes for his wings. No more feathers between skin and fabric and getting ruffled and rubbed uncomfortably. He did not take it off until he got something else.
Impa had laughed when she saw his wings, which made him ruffled and caused his wings to puff up. Impa and Paya both thought it made him look cute, which only really made him more ruffled.
Impa did apologize, and directed him to a shop in the village that would modify clothing to accommodate his wings. She told him of what happened, and who to talk to.
Purah was thrilled by his wings, and took a picture of them with his repaired Slate so he could see them. A soft greyish brown, with little bits of blue in them. She said that they’d be really pretty when they fully came in. He didn’t understand that, and Purah sent him back to Impa.
Impa did explain. Apparently, at the end of their first quest, since some had many, the Hero and Princess who beat back the evils would gain wings. It explained why he was the only one with wings. Apparently when he died, and also he died and wasn’t THAT a shock, his wings had begun to come in, but by placing him in the Shrine of Resurrection it seemed to have halted that process. Purah seemed to believe that at some point, likely after he rescued Zelda, his wings would finish coming in.
He got himself a new outfit, this time comfortable and with holes for his wings, and headed on his way.
He got dragged into Zora’s domain, and met Sidon, who didn’t notice the wings until after his father pointed out who Link was. After that, Sidon got really excited, and spent a moment cooing over Link’s wings.
Link, finding his enthusiasm sweet and rather cute, for as much as a ten foot tall shark man could be cute, fluttered his wings.
Sidon was thrilled about that.
Muzu caved the second Link put on the tunic. It was hard to argue who it could be for when Mipha had specifically tailored slits for his wings.
He got the shock arrows from the lynel, and he joined Sidon in fighting Ruta to free it and Mipha, someone Link barely remembered but knew had loved him dearly. She had planned to propose after all.
Mipha also thought his wings were cute, and, though he was still ruffled, found he wasn’t as mad when she said it. He thought he might have missed her a lot.
Her grace in hand, he headed for Death Mountain.
He made a stop on his way in Akkala, locating the Robbie that Purah mentioned. The man was, eccentric, and Link couldn’t find the source of that sound that played for effect when he spoke occasionally. It bothered him. The man was helpful though, and offered up a few more thoughts on Link’s wings.
Link didn’t stay long, intent on saving the rest of the friends he couldn’t remember.
He had to hide his wings on Death Mountain as well. The feathers caught fire too easily. This was annoying.
Yunobo was great though, and when Link downed a flamebreak potion once so he could stretch his wings, Yunobo thought they were fascinating. He treated them with so much care and gentleness, like he thought he’d break them or something. It was sweet.
Daruk had laughed, said he was finally growing into his role. He also thought Link’s wings were downright adorable, and Link was only mildly put out by that phrasing.
The Korok forest was adorable, and Link loved the koroks. They loved him too, and he let them preen his wings when they asked because of how excited they were. It was really cute.
It was also the cleanest his wings had been since he woke up.
He had been excited to meet the Rito, they were after all bird people. They had wings too. He hoped that maybe, when his wings came in fully, they’d teach him how to fly.
Teba was an asshole. He was also stubborn and determined, and willing to throw down with a Divine Beast. As someone also stubborn and determined and willing to throw down with a Divine Beast, Link could respect that.
He made a note to come back to the flight range when his wings came in for practice.
Revali, once free, had laughed at how small Link’s wings were at first, making Link really upset that he couldn’t punch a ghost. Then Revali softened up, just for a second, and said that Link’s wings would be gorgeous when they came in, and that he was impressed. Then he went back to being a self-entitled jerk.
It was okay though, Link forgave him. Even if he was still bitter about being unable to punch a ghost.
The only place left was Gerudo Desert, and Link found his first issue in the form of being a man. He did meet a woman who sold him an outfit to disguise himself as a woman so he could sneak in.
(And if he, as he wandered the streets of Gerudo Town, learned that he sometimes wanted to be she, well, that was her business.)
Riju was very helpful. Buliara was not. And so Link found herself tasked with stealing something back from the Yiga. They needed the Thunder Helm to get to Naboris, and the Yiga stole it, so it had to be stolen back. Prove yourself, she said. Ugh.
The Yiga pissed her off. And Kogah was a joke. That was all she wanted to comment about that matter.
Riju was more than happy to lead Link right into the storm, facing down the Divine Beast with prejudice. One more, then a few more shrines and the rest of her memories.
Urbosa, once saved from the most difficult of Blights (Link wasn’t bitter, shut up), had been very happy to see him. She smiled, and said she was proud of him, and mentioned how beautiful his wings would be when they came in. She asked him to look after Zelda. And then she sent him on his way.
Link had to blink back tears before Riju met up with him again. No one had said they were proud of him yet.
Riju caught on however, and then Link was dragged back to the streets of Gerudo Town until Riju had found something for her to wear on her wings. It was good.
Not long after that, Link went back to the scene of his death, trying to remember.
Rain, mud under foot, the princess behind him. Don’t stop, keep moving, keep her safe.
A whirring, followed by light.
Link raised his shield to block, the beam shattering the already flimsy wooden shield into splinters. He stumbled, slipping on the mud and falling to one knee. The Master Sword hit the dirt to balance him. He could hear Zelda speaking to him, but through the adrenaline and exhaustion there was very little that registered.
The beeping of a tracker locking on. Link forced himself to his feet, stumbling back. He was already injured, too injured to fight. His whole body ached, but still he stood. They would not get Zelda.
And then she was in front of him, and he opened his mouth to call out to her, but froze when he actually looked at her. A glowing triangle adorned her hand, and a golden light spilled out from her. Link watched, the pressure in his shoulder blades finally easing, just a bit.
He blinked hard once. Twice. He collapsed.
Words were hard to make out, but he could sense Zelda was worried. His last clear memory was her panicked expression as his eyes slipped shut.
Link gasped. The memory left him shaking, and he dropped to his knees. That was the day he died.
He took a day, just laid in bed in his house in Hateno. He needed it, to just decompress.
He got up the next morning, traveled to a stable and saddled up a horse, and then marched off to face Ganon.
Master sword in hand, his friends raining down covering fire for him, Link faced Calamity Ganon, Zelda’s voice ringing in his ears and mind.
The first half of the fight was hard, a drain on his body and what little energy he had left after fighting his way through the castle. And then he thought it was over. Ganon was gone.
He wasn’t.
Zelda called to him, warning him that Ganon had changed himself.
Link was standing in an empty field with his horse, a monster ten times any he’d ever faced before leering down at him.
This, Dark Beast Ganon was easily the size of a Divine Beast, but made of pure malice, and looking to kill him. More so than the Divine Beasts, that is.
Zelda gave him a bow, and arrows made of light, and told him to fire on the targets.
He did.
Mounting Epona, his dear horse Epona, and taking off around the monstrous boar, he drew back the string and aimed.
He ignored the tension in his shoulders and jaw, ignored how fluffed up and quivering his wings were, ignored the shaking of his hands. The only thing that mattered in that moment was his bow and the arrows and the monster he was aiming at.
One target, two, five. Link existed just to fight and shoot and dodge.
He wasn’t fast enough, the arrow flew, and it stuck, but Ganon got in a hit too.
All of Link’s air flew out of his lungs when he hit the ground, Epona whinnying and the sound of hooves thudding away from him.
He rolled, gritting his teeth, and struggling to his feet, left hand still wrapped tightly around the Bow of Light like a lifeline. He lifted his head and met the monster’s stare.
(Looking back, he’d say he felt the pressure. He’d say he felt the release. He’d say he could feel his wings come in. He's lying everytime he does.)
Flames licked at his skin and clothes and feathers, and the monster growled at him.
‘Link! Look up there!’
Link’s eyes traveled up to the glowing, golden point on the monster’s forehead. A target.
‘That’s the very core of Ganon’s being!’ Zelda coached in his mind, and Link nodded. ‘Do what you must, Link!’
Link struggled to his feet, spitting blood from where he’d bit his tongue, and faced the monster.
Ganon roared, charging him.
Link caught an updraft and went up, and how he gained the air without his paraglider was lost on him, though barely an afterthought as he drew back his bow.
Link aimed true, and loosed the arrow with the perfect accuracy he had come to be known for.
The shockwave it caused knocked him out of the air, greyish brown feathers obscuring his vision as he tumbled through the sky and back to the ground with a harsh thud.
It took him a minute to regain his breath, and shove the soft, strong wing covering him aside, before he got a look at Zelda.
She was almost exactly as he remembered her, only bathed in a glowing, golden light, and in possession of the most beautiful set of wings he’d ever seen.
The top half of her wings were a light blue, but the bottom half were pure white. The feathers closest to her back, her secondary and tertiary feathers, were longer than the rest and seemed to flutter behind her in the soft breeze that even still moved across the field.
Link could only see her back, and he was robbed of what little breath he had left.
For a moment, just a moment, he swore he was looking at Hylia herself.
He missed what happened in the moments that followed, still struggling to reorient himself and lost in the golden glow of the princess, but he got the important part. Ganon was gone. For good.
The light faded and Link’s senses returned one by one, the adrenaline crash would be brutal, but he utilized what still lingered in his system to push himself back to his feet, standing to face the princess, to face Zelda.
He missed the first few words she said, but he understood the last question clearly.
“Do you really remember me?”
Link couldn’t stop the stupid grin that stretched across his face. He nodded.
They crashed together, a mess of limbs and wings, blue and white and greyish brown feathers fluttering to the ground around them. Link held on tight, relieved to finally, finally, have a friend from before back, grateful to have not lost everything. Zelda likely was just glad to have something, someone, solid to hold on to after so long.
He denied being surprised when Zelda commented on his wings. He denied it then and will continue to deny it to his dying day. He knew they were there. Shut up.
Zelda took a picture for him, so he could see them. Greyish brown, with a long stripe of blue down the middle of the backside from shoulder to tip, and a soft orange starting at the base of his wings on the inside and fading into the rest as they went along.
“They look like a peregrine falcon,” Zelda commented once, sitting nearby as Impa and Paya ran fingers through their wings and preened for them.
Link had just hummed, content to let it be.
Now, he just had to convince her that throwing himself off a cliff was a perfectly reasonable way to learn how to fly...

HAII!! if it hasnt been done yet, could you do revali x reader with basorexia? maybe reader really wants to give him a kiss but she really cant since,, yknow she has lips and he has a fuckin beak so she just decides to give him a lil smooch on the cheek? idk that was just an idea i had in mind, u dont have to write it!
22. basorexia - the overwhelming desire to kiss.
pairing: revali x reader summary:  revali spirits you away to enjoy the new years eve festivities.
   In the darkness of your room, you awoke to the sound of a soft tapping on your window. Twisting in the mess of blankets and pillows, you pushed aside the papers and textbooks that had accumulated at the foot of the bed, noticing only then that the candle at your desk had long since extinguished.
Head pounding, you rubbed at your tired eyes, feeling heavy. How long had you been asleep?
The tapping grew more insistent, forcing you to get up. Grumbling, you allowed yourself a second to stretch, ignoring how your room felt like water sloshing in a glass.
"Yeah, yeah. Hold on!" You said, hobbling to the window. Brushing the mess of hair from your eyes, you pulled the curtains away and roughly pushed it open.
The culprit hovered outside, eyes bright and smug. Revali looked very much at home though he was floating at a dizzying distance away from the ground. In the sleepy haze, he looked like a painting of some myth you had read before, with the late night sky as his backdrop and the outline of your window as his frame.
"Took you long enough."
"Apologies. I thought some tree branches were hitting the glass."
The Rito made a show of turning in the air. "Funny, I don't see any nearby trees."
"I know," you sighed, disappointed.
Revali rolled his eyes and poked his head through the window, feathers brushing past your cheek as he ignored your personal space in favour of scoping out your room. The stiff turn of his neck as he looked around reminded you of the curious and confused little birds that landed on the sill from time to time.
"Quite a dreary home you have here." Gesturing to the overall darkness, he pointed to your stack of scattered papers. "You shouldn't study without proper lighting, it's bad for your eyes."
"I was asleep."
"Why, I'm surprised. And here I thought you were one of the festive many who choose to stay awake at an ungodly hour in order to count down the remaining seconds of the year."
"Well," you shrugged, not wanting to meet his eyes. "Not like it's anything special. New year, same shit. What difference would a countdown do?"
Biting down on your tongue, you stopped yourself from saying anymore. The cold breeze sifted past the light shirt you were wearing, making you shiver.
He was right, normally you were one of those people who stayed up, excitedly watching the hands of the clocktower tick til they reached midnight. You enjoyed the energy of being in a collective crowd, waiting with bated breath for the first inhale and exhale you would take into the brand new year.
The final month on the Hylian calendar brought a sense of relief and a hope for new beginnings. Usually today of all days  you were at your happiest, jumping at the prospect of celebrating along with the rest of the kingdom and yet…
That sinking weight clawed at your chest again, forcing you to clamp down on it once more.
You grimaced. There it was; that bitter feeling. Hylia. How annoying. It twisted in your brain like an angry snake, pulling down your mood and enthusiasm along with it.
Last year you wanted to cheer and dance until the morning light. Now all you felt like was staring at the wall. Or falling asleep.
You blinked, turning back to the window to see Revali patiently waiting for you to continue. Feeling your face warm, you hustled your brain to get a move on. A coherent thought would be great right about…now!
"Hey have you ever wondered why they don't grow trees on this side of the castle? It's not fair the more expensive quarters get all the pretty greenery. I mean, non-noble guests still need that sweet oxygen everyone keeps raving about, you get me?" Shut up brain, that's enough. I said a coherent thought. C o h e r e n t.
Stars in his wings, Revali shook his head but answered anyway. "I agree, it's hardly fair. Also go change into something warm, we need to get you outside."
"What? Why?"
Something in the Rito's expression clued you in to the fact that he wasn't in the mood to play stupid. You've been sitting in the dark for the past few days and it didn't take a private investigator to know it was playing tricks with your head. "Fine, but when I say we go back--we go back, got it?"
He huffed, turning around to give you some privacy. "I promise on my honour."
The brightly lit lanterns of the town square made you squint as you shuffled closer to your guide, the sound of the city loud in your ears.
Though less prominent, the twisting feeling in your gut continued, making you more hyper-alert than usual to the world around you. Adjusting the sleeves of your coat, you followed Revali past the streets, the Rito expertly navigating through the sea of people.
Somewhere along the way he had taken your hand, and you told yourself it was a good way for you both to stick together. Wouldn't want you getting lost and spending the final minutes of the year playing an elaborate game of hide and seek after all. He was a great friend like that. Nevermind that everytime you would hold his wing a little tighter to remind yourself that he was there, he would always squeeze back.
You needed a distraction.
Just focus on everything that's not him.
The night was alive with the sound of music. It didn't matter if you partied with an alcoholic drink in hand, or a glass of milk, everyone in Hyrule was filled with an addictive buzz that came with an event that only happened once a year. Vendors with bright smiles called out from their stalls, the smell of freshly baked sweets or the sizzle of a barbecue beckoning you to take a closer look. To your left, a group of friends raised their hands in the air, loudly welcoming a Goron that had turned up late but regardless had finally arrived.
The archer followed your line of sight, guessing the question bouncing in your head. "Daruk is in Eldin, probably rattling Death Mountain with that story again about the Moblin camp and the barrel of explosives."
"I love that story."
"Of course you would."
"Sorry about your feathers though."
"Whatever, they grew back."
"How about the one's on your--"
"Anyway," he interjected quickly, playfully nudging you to the side and glowering at your laughter. "We've been told to 'take a break'. The other Champions have chosen to spend this day with their families and loved ones. We are planning to regroup and continue preparations in the days following."
"How about you?"
"I already said it."
Your cheeks coloured at the implications of his words, mind replaying the previous sentence. Families and loved ones. Families and loved ones. He didn't even hesitate. You both were not related. So that left you with...
"Woah!" Digging your heels into the dirt, you abruptly paused your brisk walk and saved yourself from colliding with the archer's back.
Stopping at one of the stalls, Revali held two fingers up. You glanced up at him questioningly but he refused to give anything away, expression relaxed. The vendor returned quickly, the Rito thanking them quietly and placing the payment on the bright yellow table cloth along with a large tip in their jar.
He turned around, dropping a square shaped pastry into your hands. It was some kind of rice cake, with a fluffy exterior and a golden baked surface that smelled of butter and felt warm like the sun.
Taking a bite, you smiled at the hints of coconut that were hidden in its sweet flavour. The sticky treat was familiar somehow. "Is this so luck sticks to you in the new year?"
Revali scoffed, though failed to hide his own smile behind the cake held in his wing. "You said the same thing when we first met. You need new material."
"Says the baron of bird puns."
"I am the king." He punctuated the statement by biting into his own rice cake. Offering his wing, he gently took your hand once more, turning back to step again into the busy promenade.
Following him, you noticed that the crowds ever so slowly began to thin. A lantern lit hill was coming up. The grassy expanse was dotted with a few people, though it was blessingly not as populous as the town square. "I should be the one that's surprised. Thought you hated crowds unless their attentions were all on you."
"It's tolerable so long as I am with good company."
The both of you walked up the hill with an unspoken agreement to make it to the top. Taking a seat on the grass, you allowed yourself to breathe, chest heaving from the small burst of exercise after days of being sedentary.
The twinkling lights of Castle Town stretched out before you. Gazing at it, you could imagine all the untold stories hidden in the glowing little pockets of the alleys and in the hushed whispers behind closed doors. Funny how in a city so full of people, one can feel so alone.
Revali was the first to speak, breaking you from your thoughts. "I think I can understand now. Looking at it from this distance, it really can feel like nothing much has changed."
You continued to stare at the lights, trying to focus on a certain string in an attempt to ground yourself. "Yeah. Sometimes it feels like though the world continues to spin, I'm remaining completely still. Just stagnant."
Frowning, you ran your hands through the grass, feeling the dirt shift under your fingers. You could feel your frustrations building, bubbling up to the surface with no way of dragging them back down.
"And the challenges just get worse every year. How am I going to face those old problems and these new ones if I'm still the same lost person I was back then?"
Your voice echoed at the last sentence, making you hide your head in embarrassment. That was loud.
Some strangers relaxing on the hill turned around to flash you an annoyed glare, before quickly returning to their picnics after spotting the Great Eagle Bow on your friend's back.
 "I'm so sorry." You wanted more than anything then to dig a hole and hibernate preferrably for the next hundred years or so. "I'm yelling, that isn't like me. I'm so so--"
"There's nothing to be sorry about. You needed to say it." He glanced at you from the corner of his eye. There was a serious element to it that made it a little hard to breathe. "There is one part of that I don't agree with, however."
"What is it?"
"That entire section about you, how did you put it, stagnanting." He twisted a wing in the air, thinking on his words before pointing a feather directly at your face. "You're fully capable of enacting the change you want to see in yourself."
You felt a little dizzy now. But another kind of dizzy, one very different from the vertigo you felt waking up in the darkness of your room.
"And who said you were exactly the same as you were back then? You've changed. In a good way. You're stronger and more capable of things I'm sure the person you were two years ago or even less couldn't even fathom doing."
Turning to face you, Revali gave you his full attention, compelling you to do the same as the cadence of his speech joined the steady rhythm of your own beating heart. From the back of your mind, you could barely register the sound of people gathering together, their voices floating into the cold night air.
'Ten!'
"It's difficult to see your own progress from a distance."
'Nine!'
"So take my advice and start looking at yourself up close for once."
'Eight!'
He had that expression on his face, one that said he was thinking too hard about something. It was like watching him try to pull the planets together with just a piece of string. His brows were furrowed so deep that your fingers wished to run over his feathers and smoothe the worried creases.
'Seven!'
You slowly reached out to him, giving him enough time to back away. Revali stilled as your hands traced up the nape of his neck, leaning in as his pulse thrummed underneath the soft pads of your fingertips.
'Six!'
He opened his beak the moment you reached his face. You paused, half expecting him to tell you to let go and pretend like it never happened.
Instead, he called out your name.
'Five!'
He said your name again, though quieter now. It was enough to tug at the invisible force drawing you two together. Enough so that the polite distance nervously enforced by the both of you gradually began to dissipate, trailing away like a ribbon of smoke as you both leaned in closer.
'Four!'
"May I--," He cleared his throat, eyes darting away for a second before they were back on you again. Bright green in the lantern light. Emeralds in the desert sand.
'Three!'
"May I kiss you?"
"Yes."
'Two!'
"Your way or mine?" You couldn't help but joke. Revali smiled, exhaling a soft joyful laugh before pressing his forehead to yours.
'One!'
'Happy New Year!'
An earth-shaking boom rattled your ears, but all you could think of in that moment was Revali and the feel of his feathers against your skin; the utter elation of being so close to someone you deeply cared for and that cared just as deeply for you.
In the dazzling light you lifted your head from his, both your eyes meeting for a brief moment. Hands moving, you gently angled his face with a steady hand, feeling then the soft, butterfly light brush of his wings on your waist.
Closing your eyes again, you leaned in to press your lips against his beak, the blush on your face warmer than any fever or furnace. The Rito's soft sigh was barely audible as you trailed your kisses upwards, stopping at the red circle on his cheek.
Revali laughed again as you turned his face to press a kiss to the identical red mark on the other side. "You're very thorough."
"You deserve it." You beamed. "And this is just the beginning, just you wait at the end of the countdown I'll--"
"Actually my dear," he grinned, pointing to the sky.
"Huh?"
Above you were the vibrant colours of the firework display. It was beautiful and awe-inspiring, but a confirmation that you were definitely minutes in to the new year.
"Oh," you said, before shaking your head with a smile. "It's fine, we got 12 more months to prepare ourselves for the next one."
Revali nodded, pulling you closer so he could press your foreheads together again.
"Indeed," he grinned. "Now will you finish your sentence? What exactly were you going to do at the end of the countdown?"

I love your hcs!!
I would like to request the fluffiest hcs you have in store for Revali x F! hylian Reader? What would dates be like to how cuddling sessions are? What does he do to cheer her up? Etc etc (doesn’t have to be the sister, just in general relationship hcs of him with a Hylian). They can’t really kiss, but I imagine her kissing his beak just makes him go poof and Fluffy
Oh gosh!!!
You're making me blush ;;;;
Thanks for saying that about my headcanons, even when I take too much time ;;;;;;
Alright, this request is hella cute and the amount of fluff is amazing.
Also, I'm so sorry if I took too much time on these one, I had some issues writing it and I was watching a series so I got distracted pretty easily :(
I hope you like it! ✨
Revali fluff
Tumblr media
You and Revali are normally really fluffy and cute couple.
But also treat each other like best friends.
Isn't your partner just a really good friend but you can kiss them and stuff?
When you're in a date with him, everyone thinks that you two are best friends.
Knowing the reputation that Revali has, it's normal.
Everyone thinks that until you can touch and use his bow without a problem.
Normally your dates are going to eat something, cuddle in cute places, talking while doing something else.
Nobody knows when you two are in a actual date.
Revali is not of showing a lot of love in saying or touching.
He's more of getting sure you are safe and fine.
Like “Be careful”, “It's going to be freezing there, you will have to wear the snowquill set, if you not use it, you might get a cold and that's the last thing I want”, and more.
He always wants you to know that he loves you, even if he is not used to show it a lot.
You probably felt neglected at some point, not everyone can understand or is not used of that way of love.
He find out pretty quickly.
He can notice even the smallest of things if it's about you.
He was determined to talk about it
“My dear, we need to settle this issue, I have noticed that you had been quite depressed, I know it's because you're not used to the way I show love and I admit I do not have a lot of experience with it, no words can describe how sorry I am”
That was kinda long, sorry.
You cried almost immediately.
He rushed to hug you.
He just wants you to know he loves you no matter what.
The rest of the day, he did everything he could to cheer you up.
Cuddles are always first.
He just holds you, and for the rest of the day, never lets you go.
He normally wouldn't do that, you thought it was nice for him to try new things but you didn't want him to go more of his limit.
In this account we love fluff but we want all participants of a couple be happy with each other and show mutual love, not just one sided love.
Anyone who say otherwise... I gonna wreck you two pieces.
You also tried to make Revali more happy as much as you could.
It's seems that you two are just really full of love.
As I stated before, you two can't actually kiss because of his beak.
But you can do the version of kissing of the Rito.
Normally it's snuggle your foreheads, but you can also snuggle in his chest or neck.
But any of that stops you for sometimes kissing his cheeks or beak.
That just immediately makes him really confused and surprised.
Good, now he's screaming internally.
His feathers go puff
There should be a contest of who can make Revali more nervous.
You would win every time, no questions needed.

hi if your matchups are still open i was wondering if i could get a botw matchup! & if they aren’t feel free to just ignore this ask lol! 🤍
i’m very shy when you first meet me, but when i get comfortable i can be very excitable and silly haha. i’m very stubborn sometimes and i can be a bit closed off at times, but then after my emotions are bottled up for a long time i burst and overshare. i can be very dorky at times too lol, & i like to play instruments even though i’m mostly not very good at them! i’m either super spontaneous or just want to lay around and do nothing there’s like no in between lmao. i’m constantly eating junk food and sweets because yum. i love cozy things since being comfy is just the best thing ever, sleeping is 10/10. i’m 5’2, and i have shoulder length brown hair with bangs! i’m a straight girl, but if you ship me with a female character that’s cool too! thank you so much <3 i love your writings and i can’t wait to see your blog grow more!
hi!! omg thank u that means a lot 🥺
thank you for the request!! here you go :)
~~~~~~~
BOTW Matchup!
Based on your characteristics, I think you'd do best with.......
Link!
Tumblr media
~~~~~~~
Link first met you at Hateno while he was stopping for a pit stop
You worked at the local store that he frequented for supplies for his journey, always reading a book and munching on snacks whenever he came in
You were shy and curious when he first came to the store, being polite and quiet while observing him
Slowly, you opened up to him over the course of the few days he was staying in Hateno and learned that he was a traveler
When you pestered him about his journey, Link eventually told you what he could (mainly the bare minimum) but still this greatly intrigued you
You pleaded with him to let you tag along, claiming that you could provide him with entertainment along his quest, and he begrudgingly granted you your wish
Link was forever grateful that he allowed you to come with him ever since then, because you really did lighten the mood
When you two would stop for the night at a nearby stable, you would often join in on karaoke night and play whatever instrument the travelers had available
Though you couldn't play a single chord on anything you picked up for the life of you, Link found it endearing that you tried
You knew a few of your favorite sweet recipes by heart, and would often cook them for Link
You both had a passion for food, and Link had a massive sweeth tooth as well, so there was usually something good tucked under your belts in case of emergency
Link also hated the cold, but when y'all got to the Hebra Region you came totally prepared
You had this really warm fluffy blanket that you brought along with you, just in case, and it was your absolutely favorite thing ever
When the wind was brisk and you were far from a stable or the Rito Village, you and Link would cuddle under the blanket around a fire and be content with the warmth
You also loved the Rito because of their fluffy feathers and down clothing they sold, constantly asking Link for rupees to spend on their wares
He desperately wanted you to gather your own supplies to sell for your own rupees, but he would never actually admit that he liked to treat you to things like that :)
Being stubborn, you almost never listened to Link when he asked you to stay behind while he dealt with some Divine Beast related business, and you would sneak up with him onto the Beasts if you could
This would annoy Link sometimes, and he would lose his cool in the stress of it all, sometimes hurting your feelings with his anger :(
Of course he felt bad, but you never wanted him to think that it hurt you (which it did, but you were too stubborn to admit it)
You would keep these feelings bottled up for a few days, often being short or passive aggressive with Link when you were really set off
Link knew that what he said did, in fact, get under your skin, and he would try to coax you into letting him know what was up
Eventually, you would let it all out randomly one day while you two were quietly walking, catching Link off-guard lmao
But he let you rant, and at the end of it he apologized profusely for what he said to you and promised to be more patient
Because all you want to do was help him! And sometimes the boy does need help lmao
You also loved to learn about the regions you were staying in, so you would go to the nearest town and get all the information you knew about the terrain and then repeat back to Link about what you found
Learning things like that made you feel really smart and reliable, and Link found it adorable how much you wanted to contribute to the journey
Overall for Link's reserve and thoughtfulness, you balanced him out with your openness and spontaneity :)
~~~~~~~
here you go i hope you like it!!
requests are welcome :)
Thanks! I’m doing well, how are you?
BOTW Fluff
Kass
That big fluffy chest. Those giant wings. Them fluffy, soft feathers. A good voice that enthralls and lulls anyone should he will it. Kass isn’t a good cuddler. He’s the best cuddler in the village, hands down. He knows this. He’s weaponized it. Any argument or bit of rage is hard to hold when a wall of soft feathers and warmth decides to wrap around you while murmuring apologies.
Dance-in-the-kitchen type. I know it’s not cuddle related, but it popped into my head and demanded to be written so. Evening - moonlight is starting to shine off the mountains. (Name) comes in from a long day and there’s Kass, making dinner. Kass being Kass, he’s humming and whispering a song, a beat in his step all the way. (Name) wraps their arms around his waist but doesn’t get to appreciate the warmth because he turns around and drags them into his dance.
Beware - if the kids are there, they’re going to join in.
Nuzzle-slut. Rito can’t kiss - they bury their heads into partners to show such affections. S/o can’t help but laugh a lot due to a giant bird bard nuzzling into them with soft feathers and not letting up.
Kass knows they’re ticklish and keeps doing it anyway. Nuzzling him is like being tickled all over. He knows it. He loves it.
Teba
People think that his personality would drive most partners away - Teba’s got the outward friendliness of a cactus, they can’t be blamed for this assumption. What they do not realize is that Teba has the power of genuine smooth-talking at his back. He’s honest - brutally, really - and doesn’t shy away from stating his opinion. S/o has been blindsided by really sweet words out of the blue because he saw them do something cute and said so outright.
Teba’s approach to physical affection is similar to his compliments. On the outside, he’s not a fan - he will sometimes hold their hand in public and at home it’s mostly light, grazing touches. Don’t hate the warrior too much, he struggles with this sort of thing.
But like his compliments, when you get cuddles you know they are 100% genuine. His brand of touching is intimate, vulnerable. Cuddling with Teba is a gentle but raw experience for his heart is open in full to his s/o in those moments. It’s not like Kass whose nuzzles are all playful with energy; Teba is slower, more intense, with a clear caution that is thrown aside the longer he is with his partner. He loves them with all his heart and he want to show them badly.
Adores morning cuddles. He wakes before the dawn to watch the sun rise above the village. On the best days, his s/o joins him, leaning into him while desperately trying to fight off going back to sleep. With a smile, he’ll curl an arm around them and drag them nearer.
A Cold Invasion
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild
Revali x Reader
Summary: With an unforgiving weather surrounding the Flight Range, you do your utmost to withstand the freezing cold that is trying to engulf your entire being.
Notes: Fluff
Today’s training session at the Flight Range had been like any other. The cold wind was gently blowing around you, adding some challenge to the otherwise quite simple routine. Your shared interest in archery caused you to often spend time with the Champion of the Rito, despite his admittedly irritating way of talking about himself. Due to the quite significant amount of time you had been around Revali, you had somewhat gotten used to his constant rambling about himself. In fact, you found it strangely amusing, often rolling your eyes while lightly chuckling.
And after you had heard enough of said ramblings and began to leave the flight range, you noted just how impossible it had been. The previous calm wind was now raging around you, cold specks of snow rapidly flowing with it. The air was significantly colder, something you hadn’t even realized whilst buried in your training. Your body shivered from the cold and you glanced at Revali with a look that said ‘What next?’. His green eyes moved to scan the area before shrugging his shoulders.
“There’s nothing we can do. If we were to try to make it back to the Village, we would surely freeze to death,” He looked at you, a smirk tugging the ends of his beak. “And by we, I mean you.” You huff at his words and roll your (E/C) eyes with a sigh. No matter how much his voice was sprinkled with playfulness and sarcasm, he was still right. As a Rito, Revali would be able to survive in the most extreme climate, his entire body practically made for blizzards. You however, didn’t possess such an ability. If you so much as stepped into the cold wind, your entire body would most likely freeze within minutes.
“Oh thank the Goddess!”
With an annoyed groan you start moving towards the fireplace. The Flight Range’s little hut wasn’t the best shelter in this kind of weather, as the wind slowly crept inside, making you shiver. As you gathered the wood, you noticed that a certain Rito wasn’t offering his help. You looked behind your shoulder, only to see him somewhat awkwardly standing there.
“Are you going to help me? I’d rather not die today and actually try to stay warm until the storm calms down.” Your words seem to snap him out of something, probably his self-centered thoughts. He blinks a couple of times, but soon regains his posture, his voice coming forth in his usual arrogant tone.
“Oh, of course. I had forgotten how weak you Hylians are,” He grabbed a log, examining it before returning his gaze to you, that familiar little grin present. “I suppose I can offer my help.” You feigned gratitude by sighing in relief.
~
After getting the fire started, all you could do was wait for the raging blizzard to settle down. Yet despite the hot flames in front of you and your scarf that was tightly wrapped around you, the cold air still managed to slither into your body, hugging your already shivering form. Moments like these made you curse the Goddess above for allowing you to be a mere, puny Hylian, unable to resist the freezing weather.
You glanced at the Rito sitting next to you, unaffected by the blizzard. There he was, unbothered by the low temperature while you were struggling to keep yourself warm. You could only imagine how warm Revali was with all his feathers hugging his body. It was enviable to say the least. You figured he must have noticed your envious gaze as you could see the sides of his beak turn upwards ever so slightly.
Then, almost subconsciously, you scooted closer to Revali and leaned against him in an attempt to ease your growing discomfort. You greedily took the opportunity to stay warm and to also indicate the unfairness of the situation. Why should he have all the warmth to himself? If anything, he should willingly try to keep you warm as he knows just how much the chill was affecting you. Revali’s eyes moved down to look at you, his eyebrow raising in confusion.
“What are you doing?” Your (E/C) eyes kept looking at the crimson flames in front of you as you wrap your arms around him, trying to absorb the heat.
“How greedy of you, (Name). Invading my personal space for your own benefit.” A smirk appears on your face as you finally look up at him.
“I’m trying to stay warm. I figured your feathers would do the job. And frankly...” You nuzzled your face against him in a genuine yet slightly teasing manner. “I think it’s working.”
It was true though. His body was extremely warm and strangely comforting and a part of you was really happy he hadn’t shoved you off of him. Well, at least not yet. However instead of coming into contact with his wing pushing you away, you hear him huff in what to you sounded like irritation.
“And yet you don’t try to defy my little invasion.” Revali rolled his eyes at your words, seemingly trying keep his little act up. He however doesn’t say anything and instead puts one of his wings around you. The action catches both of you off guard, Revali not exactly sure why he did it in the first place. However, he can’t deny the strange feeling of delight he feels when you’re so close. It’s quite comforting actually. The feeling of your arms loosely, yet somehow lovingly wrapped around his warm body is strangely endearing and it makes Revali’s heart feel things he thought he’d never feel.
He didn’t mind your presence, instead it felt as thought he was desiring it, needing it almost. He recounts all the events he has experienced with you in his head and seems to only focus on those occasions when you would smile at him despite his somewhat harsh words he often let out. These words had never bothered you and Revali found himself enjoying your own sarcastic remarks as well. These feelings of... Affection were running wild within his head as you gently leaned against him, his eyes gently looking at you. You looked beautiful, something he hadn’t noted too much in the past but in this very moment, he wishes to stay like this forever so his green eyes could admire your stunning features.
Not only had you been able to invade his personal space by embracing him in an admittedly comforting way, but you had also been able to invade something else. His heart. His heart that from the outside was almost as hard to break through as the raging blizzard surrounding you.
These fresh feelings plant themselves within his mind with seemingly no desire to leave. He sighs and returns his gaze to the fire, listening to your soft breathing beside him. He figured you had fallen asleep due to the comfort you were providing him.
“You’re an odd one...” He glanced at you once more to ensure you weren’t still conscious to hear his words.
“But I think I like you..”
He silently confessed, unaware that your lips turn into a small smile as soon as those words leave his beak.
So I Don’t Forget Again: A Breath of The Wild fanfiction
Entry 103: Gerudo Tower
 After a lot of climbing I found the tower that Kass had pointed out to be back at the Wasteland tower. It stands in what appears to be a bottomless pit. At least it’s surrounded by cliffs of varying sizes so I can glide onto it from up high.
As I climbed, I heard that marvelous instrument, so I knew my favorite minstrel was nearby. He stood at the top, by the edge. After collecting the map of the area, I stood by his side and simply enjoyed the music. After finishing his current song, he said that the next song he was about to play is about this tower. “As light shines from the northwest skies, From the tower’s shadow an arrow flies. Pierce heaven’s light to reveal the prize.” We looked around and spotted a pedestal just like the one we got the deer too. The tower’s shadow was already on it, so we quickly glided to it. The sun appeared to be standing right on the tower’s highest point so I shot an arrow at it. Moments later the ground shook and a shrine unborrowed itself from the ground next to us.
The deer I can understand, but how could the pedestal know I shot an arrow? Did the ancient Sheikah place a target where the arrow landed, but how would they be able to account for the wind?
Kass asked if I was alright seeing I kept rubbing at my eyes. As much as I like it in the Gerudo’s territory, everything is unbearably bright here. Even the sun itself somehow seems brighter here!
Once I was finished with the shrine Kass was sitting at the edge of the cliff playing away. He told me that as soon as the sandstorms had calmed, he came here as quickly as he could. Wandering around and hearing anecdotes about Urbosa greatly inspired him. He wrote another glorious song. It was about the almost mother-daughter relationship Lady Urbosa and the Princess had. It even told a tale of Urbosa effortlessly saving the princess from a Yiga attack.
Kass asked if I was headed for Rito Village next, where the last Divine Beast is. I’m not sure. I still need to find the Master Sword but the only thing I know about it is that it was hidden in some forest.
I told Kass of my confusion about how the pedestal could tell I shot an arrow, about how even if there was a target the wind could easily have changed the arrow’s trajectory even if shot in the right direction. Kass found that odd too, but these thoughts of the wind reminded him of another hero long past. Like the one who traversed time this one also had and instrument… of sorts. A conductor’s baton which controlled the wind. He’d used it to sail the seas, battled countless beasts, even found his way to an undersea palace, all to save his sister.
My only memories before writing in this journal are the brief moments of the Princess or the Champions… nothing else. Surely, I had a family, right? Did I love them? Did I hate them? The Champions are important but why can I remember nothing of myself? Why can I not remember my family, if I had one. Did I have a mother? A Father? Siblings, grand parents? Maybe even a cousin? Or… did I have no one? Is that why I became a knight? Because I had no one to protect so I opted to protect the kingdom? Or did I want to protect the kingdom for their sake?
Even with Kass by my side I feel so alone. I feel as if I’m trudging through the desert’s sandstorm every day. So lost with no escape, no sign of anyone else around.
My mind keeps returning to Friend. It reels from her, to my unknown past, to the champions, and the constant isolation I feel suffocating my every waking breath. Why am I like this? Why does this happen? Even with others I still feel this way. I love exploring this land even with the isolation. I love getting to rest in a town for days on end even when the deepest, smallest kernel in me desires for nothing more than to be trudging through those fields and climbing those mountains once more. Yet it seems that my heart purposely searches for this prickling pain… or perhaps it’s not searching… There’s so much, but how am I supposed to handle all this? I think…
I think I may be less hurt and more so afraid of something? I don’t know. Or perhaps I just can’t take any more of this death, and Friend’s passing was too much for me to take? The more I think about it and read back… I keep noticing her absence.
I asked Kass if he has a family. Notts, Kotts, Genli, Cree, Kheel, the loves of his life, his daughters, and his ever patient, kind, and amazing wife Amali. He regaled me with tales of their romance, of his daughters singing in perfect harmony with his songs, of Amali’s marvelous voice, how she was so understanding of Kass needing to journey to fulfill his late teacher’s last wishes, of the last day he saw them. He loved travel, of being able to go wherever he wanted, but his heart has always remained with them this whole time. I ended up crying hearing just how passionately, lovingly and tenderly he spoke of them.
Kass asked me if I had anywhere to go after this, my journey. He sounded apprehensive, as if fearing my answer. I at first told him about my house in Hateno and the people there, then the Sheikah village where I made fast friends with everyone, then Goron City where the Gorons call me brother, and then Gerudo town where everyone is just so friendly, especially their Chief! Kass then asked if there was anyone I held dear to my heart. Anyone I wanted to be with. The first person to come to mind was Sidon, but the more I thought about it, I realized that it wasn’t just him but Yunobo, Chief Riju, Calisa, and Kass too. I’d like to be with all of them. There’s still so much of Hyrule left to see, perhaps I’ll find other people as well.
I asked Kass if he would like to accompany me for a while. I told him about finding the eighth statue, and how with him around it’d probably be much easier to find. He was surprised, but said he’d be glad to do so. Though since we’re going to the Highlands he said that we should go in the day given how my fingers would freeze off at night.
We made a campfire at the tower. Though we’re waiting for day due to the cold, the desert is freezing at night, even in the lands surrounding it. Even clutching the fire rod close to me only made me a little warmer. In the end Kass wrapped a wing around me and held me close. He’s so warm! I hadn’t noticed till then, but his feathers are fluffy. Rito Village is located right next to the Hebra Mountains. Over time they learned many tricks to keeping warm and even adapted to it themselves. Kass told me that in his village there’s a shop where I could buy clothing which would keep me warm even in a snowstorm. He hadn’t tried it out for himself, but he heard as such.
I wonder if I’ll meet his family when I get there.
Link is still getting used to touching people again. There's some times where ever single sensation feels like it's too much, from the hair just brushing his shoulders to the clothes on his body. When that happens, sometimes Zelda finds him tucked underneath the bough of a tree, knees up under his chin, staring and staring and forgetting to blink. But sometimes it's the other way around, sometimes his fingers trail against anything they can touch, hard wood, cool stone, the fluffy wool of a sheep--feathers of a friend. It's why he hasn't twitched out of the other's hold yet, it's why his fingers trail through the other's feather, not truly watching what they're doing, but feeling again. Feeling at all.
He'd seen. He'd seen the Rito from above. His memories are clouded and disorganized, more like impressions than true recollection of events. And from before then? So much time has past, hundreds and hundreds of lifetimes.
And when Tulin finally pulls away, beaming, Link reaches out to pull the Rito close again, eyes unblinking for a long moment as his fingers continue to twine. Before he remembers to blink. Before he collects himself enough to respond.
Fingers pinch together, signs almost creaking. Left hand chops onto his right flat palm. << No, it's alright. >> he insists slowly, signs moving much more slowly than he once did. And a sigh gusts out of his lips, finally returning the smile threatening to split the Rito's face in two. Expressions are harder now, but a smile always feels nice, especially when given to such a friend as Tulin. Tapping his chest, his pointer finger starts just below his chin before traveling up to just beneath his lip. Pointing at Tulin, his hand curls into a fist, thumb and pinky sticking out which he shakes back and forth. << I missed you too. >>
     It's not that he expected things to be the same. With all that's happened up 'til this point and when it's been so long since he last saw Link ( really saw Link, not some weird trick or something he got fooled into chasing ), how could he? But it still hits him like he's flown smack into a Frost Talus — raw and heavy and unbearably huge — getting to see just how different things are.
     How different Link is.
     …Tulin's trying not to give him a hard time of it, even in his thoughts.
     After all, if he's heard right, it's been whole lifetimes for his friend. Not the countable winters and moon cycles it was for him. He can barely wrap his head 'round living that long, much less the way Link went 'bout doing so! S'only been a few days after the Battle to End All Battles, too; all of 'em are still recovering from stuff like wounds and exhaustion and "debility" — Tulin just calls it being shaken up.
     And, y'know, most importantly: he's still Link.
     Yeah, a lotta the time he looks more spirit than whatever was going 'round with his face before he was found, and his quiet may have an extra, thick blanket of quiet layered over it now, but— Tulin still feels weightless with joy to see him again. His heart, and bones, and all the bits holding him together still sing excited delight at being able to do anything with him again.
     It's why he's hugging him now, a tight squeeze of his wings 'round Link's middle and head pressed 'gainst his chest, before he's drawing back with a smile he hopes is blinding. He's finally rested up enough to be healer-approved for more than just lying in bed ( ugh ) — 'course his first destination's gotta be the person he's been wanting to be with the most after everything! ( Flock, uhh, notwithstanding. )
     "Sorry," he laughs, not sorry at all. Between the two of them like this, no healer or friendly escort or other onlooker to goggle at 'em, he readily admits the feeling that's been churning in his chest ever since he saw that outline on the horizon: "I really missed you."
Mutual Feelings Pt. 11, [Revali x Reader]
Summary: Eh
Since the incident in Gerudo, Revali along with the other Champions returned to their respective homes to continue directing the various infantries protecting the four corners of Hyrule. You had barely spoken to him since. Rather, you were focused on finding the various ingredients and materials to craft the cure-all for a certain bird. Most of the items could be bought in Castle Town or the trading posts in the southern portion of Hyrule Field. A quick trip to the East supplied the water and greenery, only taking a day’s time.
You high tailed it to Rito Village faster than you ever had before. The items concealed within your pack weighed you down considerably, putting heavy strain on your shoulders as the straps cut further and further into your joints. It didn’t matter though. You could finally do something worthwhile.
Upon arrival, you were greeted by Seoi who was stood at the last bridge before entering the village. Her hands were folded in front of her body, her eyes not quite frantic but well on their way there. She tapped her toes against the wood in a similar manner to that of her daughter, but the joy and happy beats were painfully absent.
“I’m so glad you’re here. Keumi’s been sick since you left, she never got better, and I’ve been trying to take her to the hot spring, but you know. I can’t…”
“Seoi.” You reached out, taking her shaking hand in yours. Her touch was chilled, and ghostly. Her fingers tapped lightly at your hand as she struggled to get the words out. She visibly calmed as you pressed your thumb into her palm, a breathy sigh escaped her lips. “I got what I needed. I just need some time to put it all together.”
She relaxed a bit more, covering your hand with hers.
A shadow passed over the village as the Divine Beast flew high overhead. You sat on the splintering wood of the landing, legs outstretched toward the edge, but not quite hanging over. Your toes threatened the edge, just a few inches from certain death. Scribbling furiously, you jot down the sharp lines and smooth curves of Medoh while it was still in view. There wasn’t a lot of information recorded on how the Divine Beasts worked yet. Though it wasn’t your job to collect it, you took it upon yourself to. Nobody would complain because nobody would particularly care.
“Whatcha drawing?” The annoying squealy voice said loudly into your ear, jostling your insides. The echo vibrated down your spine into your toes, casting an uncomfortable sensation through your core.
“Research.” You replied, not bothering to look at the perpetrator. You knew who it was. That bird had been following you around since the moment you stepped foot in Rito Village. After meeting Revali, you met Keumi. Unlike Revali, Keumi was obsessed with you. She wanted to be at your side every waking moment of the day and while it was rather bothersome, it was beginning to grow on you.
“Again?” She groaned, throwing her wings into the air as the spun on her heel. After three spins, she plopped down next to you and laid her head against your arm. “You always do research!”
“It’s my job.”
“Your job sucks!” She hopped up. “Want to play?”
“I’ve got work to do.”
“Fine.” She huffed, crossing her wings over her chest. A moment passed as she held her grim attitude, then as if the fuses connected within her mind, she jumped up and took off running down the steps.
Returning a few minutes later, she had an older Rito woman in tow. The woman heavily resembled Keumi, except for the expression on her face. Keumi’s was full of joy, excitement, and her beak hung open happily as she skipped toward you. The woman wore a look of embarrassment.
“This is the Champion!” Keumi wrapped her wings around you and rocked back and forth on her toes.
“Keumi, I don’t think you should,” The woman started. “I’m so sorry, she’s just not the best with her social skills yet.”
The woman attempted to pry the child from your body, tugging on hers, but to no avail. The child stayed.
“I’m Seoi.” She finally introduced herself. “Keumi’s mother.”
___
The sound of Keumi’s shaky breath hit your ears before the low chatter of those in the room. A bundle of blankets lined the floor with an even larger stack of pillows upon it. Keumi’s small hammock was hung from the balcony beams but proved to be useless as it rested against the fluffy bed that swallowed her whole. If it weren’t for the severe contrast of color, you would have assumed she wasn’t there.
“She’s been like this all night…” Seoi approached from behind, taking a shawl from a hook and wrapping it around herself. “We tried the hot spring, and she got better, but only for an hour or so.”
The heat that radiated from her forehead was like no other. Her fingers were cold, frozen even. Her entire body seemed as if it couldn’t decide whether to burn up or turn to ice. Raspy breaths came with each gasp of air and a deep rattling sound vibrated in her lungs.
“I need to get this all started.” You ruffled her feathers through your fingers. “It’s going to take a little while.”
“Seoi.” Having foregone noticing the inhabitants of the room, you were surprised to find Revali speaking up from behind. He and Junil stood against the doorway. You must have passed them when you entered. “We’ll keep watch of her.”
Footsteps echoed through the Castle halls, hurrying here and there as the maids began setting the day up for more Champion meetings. The kitchens were working at full speed. Sweet smells rose from the open windows, wafting straight to your room where your stomach growled angrily. You hadn’t eaten since yesterday when Link arrived with a basket of fresh bread and fruits. The remains lay on your desk, slowly getting stale.
Outside, citizens were bustling toward the castle gates attempting to catch a glimpse of the Champions as they arrived. You spotted a familiar group of people. One individual stuck out from the crowd like a sore thumb. Standing at least a foot taller than the group, her head spun around looking in all directions. It was Seoi, and Keumi was at her feet.
You hurried out to the castle gates, easily slipping past the guards as you pushed through the crowd in the direction you saw the girls. Keumi was the first to spot you, breaking free from her mother’s grasp, eliciting a gasp from her as she scrambled to grab her child.
Hopping up in your arms, Keumi wrapped her wings around your neck and locked herself in place. Seoi was soon to follow, giving you a polite hug.
“We tried to come see you, but it doesn’t seem like they’re letting anyone in right now.”
“Big ‘ol Champions are in town today. It’s hard for anyone to get in.”
“But you can get us in!” Keumi chirped.
“I can.” You laughed. “Do you want a tour?”
“If it’s too much trouble, you don’t have to.” Seoi smiled, raising her voice so you could hear her over the crowd.
“It’s no big deal.”
The girls thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and the maids loved Keumi who was a ball of sunshine as she bounced between them. Keumi insisted on seeing your room, and much to your dismay they ended up there. It was a mess, but a good mess. Everything had its own place and you knew where things were when you needed them.
Keumi jumped up and down on your bed, ruffling the covers further. Seoi stood at your wall, looking over the notes and sketches that were pasted up.
“It’s all completely over my head.” She said, trying to decipher what the information about the guardians meant. “I don’t even know what these things are.”
The kitchen wasn’t far from their home, just a floor down. The fire crackled as it slowly burnt off whatever had been cooked in the pot last, a not quite rancid stench licking the smoke as it rose upward. It sizzled like a firecracker when you poured water into the base, and it hissed loudly when you began scrubbing.
Seoi kept to herself. The franticness that grew with each passing moment was apparent with the way her gaze never tore from above as she eyed the open air where Keumi lay nestled beneath her blankets. Black char rubbed from the pot to your skin, scraping down your forearms to your wrists that had already gone black from being submerged in dirty water.
“Can nobody clean this around here?” You joked, hoping to lighten the mood. She nodded along in agreement but didn’t dare speak another word. “I mean, I get that you guys don’t want to dirty your feathers, but this thing is unbelievable!” You croaked, plastering a fake smile across your face as you brightly looked up to her.
Seoi’s expression hadn’t changed. Her mouth formed a single line, pulled taught against her feathers that lay flatter than usual. There was a light behind her eyes that wasn’t typically there – it was fearful.
“Seoi.” You sighed, picking up the pot and moving past her as you headed for an area to dump it. “Keumi will be okay. We’ve got the materials we need and we’re going to fix her. But you,” you pointed accusingly at her with a free finger, “you need to relax. Take a breather. I don’t like seeing you like this.”
A titter came from Seoi that accompanied her heavy footsteps. “Isn’t that ironic?” Her gaze softened.
“What?”
“You’re the one telling me to relax and that you don’t like seeing me like this.” She uncrossed her arms and straightened her back a bit, easing herself slowly to a more comfortable open position. “You’ve been happier lately.”
“I’ve been busier lately.”
“Is it Revali?”
“It’s supposed to do what, exactly?” Seoi said, hugging her arms close to her body as the two of you strolled past the stable where a salesman hollered to one of the stable hands as he approached from the path.
“It should cure her.” You explained, slowing your pace with her as she stopped near a fallen tree. Its bark was stale, tearing slightly away from what was once its home attached to the trunk.
“How?”
“It’s hard to explain. A lot of faith goes into this. I’m not even sure that one of the ingredients is obtainable. It comes from some historical record that a medicine man in the Domain gave me.” You pulled the book and handed it to her. She cracked it open to a random page.
“Anyway,” you continued, “it comes from a genetic mutation of the Silent Princess flower. I’m not 100% sure it will work, but I thought it may be worth a try. This guy is really respected in the Domain, and he was the one to bring it up to me. I just figured,” She cut you off.
“I want you to try it.” Her expression had grown serious. She snapped the book shut and handed it back to you. “Even if it doesn’t work, I trust you. I know you can work miracles, and I trust that you’ll help her.”
You glanced once more at Seoi, trying to discern the expression on her face. She hugged close to Junil, who was focused on Keumi as her chest rose and fell in sporadic beats. She was struggling to breathe. The medicine swirled around in the cup, taking on a mysterious purple color with small black speckling throughout.
Kneeling to her side, you continued to watch her. A warm hand rested on your shoulder, squeezing hard for a moment before rubbing it. Revali rested his arm around you, giving you a nod as you inched forward.
The small cup was brought up to her open mouth. You used your other hand to gently stroke at her throat, prompting her to swallow the medicine without difficulty. She accepted it, taking a deep breath as the last bit dripped from the glass. Revali leant down, resting his beak against your head. The group watched quietly as Keumi adjusted to the medicine. Her eyes fluttered open and she smiled, but they soon closed as she fell unconscious. Seoi rushed to her daughter’s side, taking her hand to support her head.
You tousled from Revali’s hold, lunging back to her side as you pressed your fingers beneath her neck. She was still warm, a good sign. Seoi moved out of your way, enough to allow you to lay your head against her chest. A steady beat resounded, another good sign.
“She needs to rest.” You said, moving back to Revali who assumed the same position. “But I think it worked.”
“You’re amazing.” Seoi whispered, brushing her hand across Keumi’s forehead. “You need to go get some rest. You’ve been working on this all day.” She pointed in your direction, tearing her eyes away from her child. “She’ll be fine.”
“Junil,” his brow rose quizzically as you addressed him, “make sure Seoi gets some rest too.”
“You’ve got my word.” He assured you. “And you,” Junil spoke directly to Revali, “we’ll be okay here. You should go with.”
Revali nodded.
I really like these links sister and Revali hcs.
I had an idea. So, in AoC you have separate missions aside from the storyline and they’ll usually have a description of what your doing. I had a recent one with the Gerudo where they were ambushed. That’s all it said in the description, but based on their convo with each other they were trying to enjoy the hot springs. It just gave me an idea for a request.
What I wanted to request was maybe Revali and reader (links sister. I’m too in love with this idea. Revali deserves some love :) ) maybe were trying to have time for themselves and at least have a day of destressing themselves from all the chaos. (It could be a hot spring date or something. Up to you. They were at least on a date) then it just ends up a little ruined due to a monster ambush (They make it out alive of course. Couple bruises sure, but all is well).
Maybe starting with Fluffy date hcs to the monster attack and then straight back to fluff after the ambush?
OooOoooOhhhh
I like it!
Thank you for saying that you like the hcs of Link's sister!
I love Revali and yes, he deserves more love ❣️
I apologise for taking so much time in these ;;;; I hope you like it ✨
Revali in a cute date with (Y/N)
The idea of the date was of you both, you two being planning having a day of relaxing.
Going to a hot spring and watching the sunset on the top of Rito village.
It could be a cute date, just the two of you, been the fluffy couple you are.
Revali doesn't like to much to enter the hot springs, but he needs it.
He normally is really warm, so if he stays too long it'll make him some harm.
You can bet he's going to let you play with his feathers and so do you with your hair.
Now he's more warm and fluffy, now you can't help but snuggle in his neck.
He seems to be pretty fluffy tbh
After that, you two go to Rito Village while talking random stuff.
But in your way to Rito Village, you were ambush for monsters.
Of course, nothing bad happened, some cuts and bruises.
Revali wasn't going to let them hurt you in any way.
But he's going to let you hurt them in every way.
After obliterating the monsters, Revali decide to take you flying there.
When you got to home, he starts helping you treating your wounds.
So do you help him treating their wounds.
You two were exhausted, so you decide to stay at home and just cuddle with him.
He teases you sometimes or makes you blush.
But when he doesn't expect it, you'll hug him or just snuggle on his neck or chest.
Touching is a way of showing love as a Rito, and Revali is feeling it.
His feathers can't get more fluffy.
He can get flustered easily, you just have to compliment him.
I'll show you.
“Revali, you are just like a cute pillow!”
“I have no similarity's with a mere pillow”
“Pillows are comfortable Revali, you comfort me”
Now he's just a ball of fluff.
See...?
It's so easy to make him nervous and flustered.
You can't kiss him completely because... Peak.
But that doesn't stop you from kissing his peak sometimes.
He just can't get enough from you.
You two probably falled asleep while cuddling.
It was worth it.
You two didn't get to finish the date for the ambush.
Now he owes you another date.
Ngl, he doesn't mind.
I think that anything else will make him happier.
“Y/N Y/N!” They called out, huddling around as Revali landed on the wooden planks. At least five little Rito children were gathering around, hugging you as soon as you let go of Revali’s neck,
“We missed you Y/N!” A little girl said as you ruffled her bright pink feathers. Fortunately for you, you had missed Revali rolling his eyes, and crossing his arms against his chest.
“Aww, I missed you too! Hateno Village just isn’t the same as it is here!” You said with a grin, scooping up the smallest Rito in your arms.
Being a Hylian, there had been several people who judged yours and Revali’s relationship. Most of them were older, but you could still hear the whispers when you two were together. Revali ignored them and told you to pay them no mind. Though it had still bugged you. The other champions were quite open and welcoming, glad to have met someone who could put up with Revali for more than ten minutes. Mipha was the most accepting, seeing as she was in love with a Hylian herself. Of course, the Rito children loved having you around. They thought you were so cool and loved playing with them. Plus you always had amazing stories of Hyrule, and they could sit and listen to you for hours.
“Y/N! Could you please tell us a story?” The small green feathered Rito pleaded in your arms.
You were just about to answer when Revali gave a firm no.
“I’m sorry, Y/N is too busy to concern herself with stories.” He said, grabbing the Rito in your arms, and putting him down.
“Oh nonsense Revali, we weren’t going to do too much. One story couldn’t hurt.” You said, looking at Revali with the eyes that made him melt every single time.
“Oh fine. One short story. I’m not listening to this one though. I don’t want to get bored. I have probably heard this one anyways.” Revali huffed, giving you a small smirk as he walked away.
It didn’t take too long, and you were sitting down, telling the children of how a Moblin almost attacked the village. As you were finishing up your story, you couldn’t help but smile as you saw Revali leaning against one of the wooden frames. His arms were crossed and he looked rather bored, but it still made you happy. If only you knew what Revali was really thinking. As much as he thought it was cute that the children adored you so, he couldn’t help but feel envious. He wanted to be spending the time with you, as clingy as that might have sounded. His days off were few and far in between. After you were done the children scattered off for lunch, enjoying the meal with their families.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” You asked, standing up and brushing yourself off. It was always freezing in the village, and Revali would always make sure you were bundled up just right. You walked closer to him, pulling your giant doublet closer to your body.
“Nothing that is important my dear.” He answered, looking over at you.
“Oh come on. I am not an idiot Revali. I could tell something bothered you when I wanted to stay. You aren’t jealous, are you?” You questioned, not being able to hold in the laughter. It was silly to even question it, but Revali’s silence gave it all away. “Hey, come on now. They just think I am interesting because I am different, so they enjoy the stories.”
“I am not jealous. Well, not really. I think it is delightful that the children love being with you, it’s sweet to watch you play with them and tell them stories. However, if you must know, we rarely get to spend too much time together now. The Princess feels as if Calamity Ganon will strike any minute now, so everything needs to be prepared. Daruk was only able to convince her to let us free today so that we can spend what time we may have left with our loved ones.” Revali said, in a tone that made your heart race and your mouth dry.
Before he could say anything else, you had your arms wrapped tightly around him. The thought of losing him made you sick to your stomach, and you couldn’t bear to think of it. It was something that you tried to avoid, but once Revali said it, it seemed so real.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I didn’t think of it that way. I should be spending as much time with you as possible. Any day could be our last.” You near sobbed out, which caused Revali to chuckle.
“Hey! I didn’t tell you that so you could go and blubber and worry on me. I’ll always be with you, I promise. Don’t try to kill me off so quickly. Once Ganon sees me, he will probably be running away terrified.” Revali said, making you laugh. “Let’s enjoy our time together, okay? The last thing you need is to worry yourself to death, Y/N.” He told you, looking into your eyes before holding you close.
“I love you Revali.” You murmured, resting your head on his chest, enjoying the warmth of his body.
“I love you too, Y/N.” He whispered, smoothing out your hair.
