spooky tuesday is a (now not so new!) podcast where we’re breaking down all of our favorite slashers, thrillers, monster movies and black comedies on the new scariest day of the week.
chelsea may be our resident sharky tuesweek enthusiast, but when it comes to getting in the holiday spirit, sydney was the one bringing santa jaws (2018) to the table. on our latest episode of spooky tuesday, we picked a christmas flick that takes a more, uh, creative approach to celebrating the season. combining the monster movie genre with a magical object moment, this female-directed film dares to ask the question, “what happens when you give a great white a love of both christmas ornaments and feasting on human flesh?”
give spooky tuesday a listen on apple podcasts, spotify, iheart radio, or stitcher

Those in italics have five or more pieces of usable visual, written, or audio propaganda already. If you have any visuals like photos or videos, or if you have something to say in words, submit it to this blog before round one begins on June 25th!
If you don't see a name you submitted here, it's because most or all of their career was as a child/they were too young for the cutoff, their career was almost entirely after 1979, or music was something they only dabbled in and are hardly known for. There are quite a few ladies on the list whose primary career wasn't "recording artist" or "live musician," but released several albums or were in musical theater, so they've been accepted.
#long post#miss billboard tourney#i wasn't originally going to list them all but i decided to do so because there are so many without propaganda

Crashbox Segment: Eddie Bull
During this segment, our host gets eaten by one of the animals in the Walla Walla Washington Zoo and he gives the viewers clues about what animal ate him and the viewers have to guess which animal it is before he gets pooped back out.
Eddie Bull (voiced by Ritchie Montgomery) has a doofy little kid kind of personality, but in a way that's charming. This is one of the more popular segments.
My Thoughts: I like this one. I enjoyed how it broke up all of the math and language questions with some fun animal facts.

Jefferey Anderson HCs, cause car rides are long
-aro/ace (flux?) -has bi wife energy -how I imagine his personality is: if personalities of Nick Nelson, James Potter, and Dawson Leery had a baby, if that even makes sense -k so he’s bubbly, extroverted and the sweetest people person, who may come across as cocky -loves puns and making them no matter how cringy -takes pride in being french, yk, speaks it all the time with his mom, cooks traditional France recipes, watches French movies etc -I saw someone hc that Jeff speak French when he’s exited and Todd speaks it when he’s mad, whoever that was, I love you - had the classic “why am I like this *cue Orla Gartland*” moment
-blond curly/wavy hair -hazel eyes -5 11” (five feet eleven inches tall) -freclesssss -has reading glasses
-interests include: music, science, insects and actors -celebrity “crushes” As in fave actors he wants to be bffs with: Audrey Hepburn, Marylin Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Laurence Olivier, Montgomery Clift, Jean Gabin -fave bands/musicians: he deff listens to classical music and is pretentious about it; Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Vivaldi, also The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Ritchie Valens -loves insects so when he moved out he got a pet Tarantula name Jeremy Finch -you bet he named it after Jem from TKAM, he’d be obsessed with it -got super into alien conspiracy theories in the 50’s like the lil nerd he is
-the kid is a neat freak, like if his room gets messy(like when he gets burnt out or busy studying) actually can’t function for a few minutes will get anxiety attacks from it (cause he’s just like me fr) -says “do you know how many germs are on your hands-???” daily -accidentally flirts with everyone (doesn’t realize it) -people call him a player and he genuinely doesn’t know why people keep calling him that (bless his aro/ace soul)
-him and Todd have/had a relationship like: Jonathan and Will Byres, Syd and Liam Novak, and Gordie and Denny Lachance -were really close I when they were young kids and drifted in HS due to the favoritism becoming most apparent -did reconnect after HS
#jeffrey anderson#dps headcanons#jeffrey Anderson is an aroace icon cause projection#hes just like me fr#Kinda#anderperry

Six months later...
After 6 hours of labor, you and Jake welcomed an adorable baby boy who looked a lot like his daddy.
You held the baby in the hospital bed as Jake looked at the infant. How he was able to get away from another mission, you didn't know, but you also didn't ask.
"I can't believe he's ours," he says, as he looks up from the baby nestled in your arms as you lay in the hospital bed, to you. "We make incredible babies." His eyes twinkle.
You notice. "Agreed, but let's wait until one is out of diapers."
Jake touched the baby's head and there was a knock at the door. You both looked up and saw Sheriff Jayson Dillenger.
You smile. "Jayson! Come on in!"
He walked over to the bed. "Congratulations! He looks adorable! Do you not have any strong genetics that your kids look like their fathers?" he asked jokingly.
"I was starting to wonder that myself," you say as the baby looked like he was starting to fuss.
Jake put out his arms. "I'll take him."
You handed the baby to him, and you looked at Jayson. "So, what did you find out?"
Scott confessed to everything and when law enforcement went to arrest Celine, they found her laying in her bed with a bottle of pills next to her along with a bottle of alcohol. She had pretty much made Scott take the blame for everything. When Scott found out, he was devastated and tried hurting himself in jail. He was looking at the minimum for kidnapping from the federal government and the minimum state charges for kidnapping. When you heard about the attempted suicide in the jail, you wrote a letter to the judge asking for Scott to get the psychiatric help he needed on your dime.
"The judge okayed everything. He'll be getting the best therapy while in prison," Jayson responded.
"I'm glad. He didn't deserve that, and Christian would've wanted it this way."
"True."
They watched Jake walk around the room with his newborn son.
"You're next, Jayson," you say.
He grins. "Maybe. Have to find that right person first."
Jake looks at Jayson with a grin. "Until then, you're welcome to come over and get some baby practice in."
Jayson laughed.
"Geez, Jake! Really?" You laughed as your dirty mind heard what he said. Then it hit Jake.
"Not that kind of baby practice!! I mean holding the baby!" He looked at you. "You're sick in the head."
"And you're not?" You questioned back as you still laughed.
You were all in hysterics by now and the baby started to make crying noises, but Jake was able to calm him down.
There was a knock at the door, and you all looked. Sheila stood there with little Christian and Montgomery.
"Momma!" Christian yelled.
You put out your arms. "Come here, baby! You want to meet your little brother?"
Christian hurried to your hospital bed and climbed up. Jake brought the baby closer.
"What do you think?" Jake asked Christian.
"He small."
"He is."
Sheila walked in followed by Montgomery. "How are you doing, Y/N?"
"Good."
Montgomery handed you a small bouquet of flowers. "These are for you, Doctor."
You took them. "Thank you, Montgomery."
Sheila sighed. "I'm not going to get my hands on my new grand baby until my son leaves, am I?"
You smile as you look at Jake who was walking around happily with his son and Christian was now snuggled up next to you. "Probably not."

Ben Dickey and Alia Shawkat in Blaze (Ethan Hawke, 2018)
Cast: Ben Dickey, Alia Shawkat, Charlie Sexton, Josh Hamilton, Lloyd Teddy Johnson Jr., Wyatt Russell, Jenn Lyon, Ritchie Montgomery, David Kallaway, Jonathan Marc Sherman, Jean Carlot, Alynda Segarra, Kris Kristofferson, Richard Linklater, Steve Zahn, Sam Rockwell, Martin Bats Bradford. Screenplay: Ethan Hawke, Sybil Rosen, based on a book by Rosen. Cinematography: Steve Cosens. Production design: Thomas Hayek. Film editing: Jason Gourson.
You probably have to be deeper into outlaw country music than I am to fully appreciate Blaze. It's a familiar story: a promising musician whose life comes undone because of substance abuse and failure to manage their career wisely. This one is informed by the woman in the musician's life: The film is based on the memoir of Blaze Foley's sometime companion, Sybil Rosen, who co-wrote the screenplay with the director, Ethan Hawke. It's a solid biopic that stars an unknown actor, Ben Dickey, in the title role, with Alia Shawkat as Sybil. Foley was the kind of intensely personal songwriter whose music lends itself to a biopic -- almost shapes it, in fact -- and Hawke takes full advantage of it by presenting most of Foley's songs in performance scenes that blend into dramatic sequences. Dickey and Shawkat get good support from Charlie Sexton as Townes Van Zandt. There are also some cameo performances, including Kris Kristofferson in his final screen appearance as Foley's father, and an amusing turn by director Richard Linklater and actors Steve Zahn and Sam Rockwell as some oil millionaires who decide to get into the record business -- not really to Foley's benefit. Blaze is slowly paced and the narrative sometimes gets oblique, and the 129 minute run time betrays the slackness that often afflicts independent film, but on the whole it's a success and another landmark in Hawke's increasingly impressive career.
