I skipped previous round (tho I might draw something for it, I just wasn't feeling that well-), so this time I bring something more interesting.

A few years ago I was having fun with something like pixel art, so, for the retro I wanted to try and go with it, as if my au was some old pixel RPG.

The real treasure was the Leo's we gained along the way!

Finally wrapped up with the @tmntaucompetition and I just wanted to thank everyone again for such a fun time! I wish I could have interacted with even more of you but I sadly could only do so much! Leo gained quite the following though! Including @cupcakeslushie's Kapa, @dianagj-art's One, @evenmoreofadisaster's One, @angelpuns's Kid Leo, and @red-rover-au Leo.

I would have included @tangledinink Gemini but I felt like Leo and Omega might have scared off the poor boys! Speaking of Omega, he gained a bit of following too during the competition...

I'm sure @intotheelliwoods's Sprout will come help him eventually (Replica Leo sure as hell isn't haha).

I’ve finally gotten the comic fleshed out so updates will be every Monday/Tuesday!

As stated before, this is a fan-comic of Abbey’s Krang Infection comic. It’s heavily influenced by one very specific scene which will become a lot clearer at the end (if it isn’t already). It’s not meant to replace or alter any of her storyline and is just an add-in that I’ve had stewing in my brain for a while. I hope you all enjoy the angsty fluff to come!

I absolutely love Abbey’s work and heavily recommend you guys give it a read!

I’m not done talking about Raph and Leo yet because you know what kills me? How the beginning of the movie with Raph very angry at Leo to the point of lashing out at him is paralleled with how the end of the movie has the Krang very, very angry at Leo and beating him horrifically.

Both Raph and the Krang are so much bigger than Leo, both have been very angry with him, and both deem him responsible for ruining their respective missions.

To make matters worse, Raph’s body was used to hurt Leo. So it’d make sense for Leo to just…flinch, sometimes. To have his body reflectively brace for a blow that will not come because Raph would see this and just be horrified. Their fights, their roughhousing, their existing together all have a newfound and unwanted extra layer to them.

And Raph? Raph is traumatized enough having been brainwashed the way he was, turned into a monster in a way he always dreads in general. To be made into the antithesis of a hero and instead be a villain’s pawn, made to hurt his own family…poor kid, to say the least.

Can’t imagine what it must feel like, the first time post invasion that Raph gets mad at Leo and they fall into their old dynamic only for Leo to see the Krang and for Raph to feel like he is the Krang.

Call It Instinct

The krangified au brainworms are back. Also huge kudos to this ask, since it definitely inspired part of this. (anon and @mrabubu your minds *round of applause*)

You try not to act on your instincts. It's best. For everyone. For Leo. Yourself too, you suppose.

You've taught yourself to stay in control. Make what is abnormal normal once again. It's uncomfortable at times, when you feel that call, that urge crawling through your skin. Swimming through your mind.

Leo's almost always there, though. To hold you. Or wipe your tears. The timber of his voice late at night, its' vibrations soothing your tainted soul.

It's hardest when he leaves.

Like tonight. Those dreaded supply runs where you're left for hours. Waiting for your Leo to return.

You study him from your position on the floor, yellowed eyes watching his every movement as he readies himself to venture into the cold winter night.

"Don't go..." muttered mainly to yourself, but said loud enough that Leo catches it. It was hard to keep it in, that overwhelming need to have him near. At least within view, within reach.

He approaches, kneeling down. "Only a few hours," he reaches behind your ear, leaving soft scritches. His smile grows at your content, purr-like sounds. "Be back before you know it."

You pout. No. Why does he have to go? Can't he just stay like this? Lulling you into a peaceful sleep with his delicate touches?

He strokes your hair, pressing a tender kiss to your forehead. His way of saying goodbye, and promising he'd be back for you.

It feels empty; cold once he's gone. It always did. You've tried to go along, but he always insisted that you stay. To keep you safe. To make sure they don't get anywhere near you again.

You understood as much as you could. But.. what about him? What if he wasn't safe? Imagining your Leo in danger.. you tried not to for long. Because, well, the instincts.

Who's to say what you'd do.

....................

You wake abruptly from a light slumber to a smell. A disgusting, putrid almost nauseating scent.

It's one that you recognize, to your newfound horror.

Blood. Crimson in color, but blue at its' core. Leo's blood.

Vision tunneling, you inhale. Danger, pain, blood... he's in trouble. Leo was in trouble. Your Leo..

You practically fly through the trees, the snow underneath doing little to slow you down. One purpose. One goal. Track the scent, find Leo, and eliminate whatever dare inflict injury on him.

You're getting closer, almost there when suddenly something speaks to you. Familiar... and just like you. The Hive.

The Hive wants him too. The Hive is hungry. Starving. The Hive suggests you all split. Suggests you all share this delicious prey.

Share?

You see Leo in the distance, surrounded by dark creatures that glow red. Hunting and ready to attack.

No.

You stand in front of Leo, all that is humane slipping away.

He's mine.

He's yours. Not to share with anyone, or anything.

To Leo you were sorry. Since you swore to not act on your instincts. However, this had to be done.

As your last cohesive thought disappears, your instincts take over. This time they are not only used to devour or kill, but to protect.

Mine. All mine.

This is the drawing I did based off the amazing gif you made in part 45(?), it seemed like Donnie was losing himself to the Kraang infection till Leo stepped in and yoinked that pesky thing out
