#rise hidden city

Lou?

I noticed something with Splinter/ Lou Jitsu. In the episode where he, Mikey, and Beary Draxum are going through the Hidden City, Splinter is giving them a tour. This in itself kind of confused me because the only places we know he visited before his sewer days was the Battle Nexus and Draxum’s lab (correct me if I’m wrong). We see him again, newly mutated with the turtle tots on what seems to be the nyc streets (can’t find a screenshot to verify so, again, please correct me if I’m wrong). So why was Splinter giving them a tour?

Also, in the same episode, Splinter tells Mike and Beary about some places where he would eat and get his haircut in the hidden city. Um, sir? When was this going on? What was the timeline?

Was Lou just roaming the hidden city for a little bit? Am I missing important information? Is any of it related to that key thing from the first episode?

Inquiring minds want to know (it’s me, I’m inquiring minds).

As someone who has not yet watched, but has heard pieces of Rise's "Tales of the Hidden City" mini-arc, can anyone fill me in on their thoughts on the episodes? Are they generally regarded as good or bad?

Hearing about the characters all getting thrown in jail for what they do and only get out through trickery and not, like, being forgiven for whatever problems they caused (which were all caused by their usual behavior? Behavior that's fine in other episodes though?) when they tried to fix their mistakes just rubs me the wrong way?

I don't know, I get weird hang-ups about certain writing choices and plot points easily and don't know how to feel, and whether I should save myself the frustration and discomfort by skipping these episodes or not.

Big Mama must have lost some serious standing in the yokai underworld because it’s gotten apparent that she keeps being beaten by a small group of teenagers and the occasional rat man, and when it’s not them then she’s taking L’s from her own schemes working against her.

And in the ensuing power vacuum, the Hamatos accidentally become the most feared crime family known to all the big bads of the Hidden City.

After all, they’ve publicly outplayed Big Mama multiple times, a couple of them have taken out the heads of two of the most well known criminal organizations, one took out Heinous Green, two are responsible for the destruction of Witch Town, they have ties to both the infamous Baron Draxum and Captain Piel, they won the Doom Dome death race, they’re Battle Nexus Champions, they’ve displayed insane feats of power and defeated impossibly strong enemies, most of them have been to jail, and they regularly mingle with humans.

You can just imagine the notoriety they’d accumulate from word of mouth alone.

I was gonna make this a collection of like, the rise turtles and their fav shades of their fav colors, but then Leo didn't turn out right and I am yet to be mature about it and just try again.

Donnie's is Indigo purple, Mikey's is Soda orange, Leo's is Cornflower blue and Raph's would be Candy red I think

Balding Casey is so cruel like..... he survived the apocalypse just to end up bald....

Isn't that a good thing though? Going from an apocalypse where you are sure you're going to die any day now to a somewhat quiet life were you grow old enough to go bald... I think it's what Leo would have wanted for him.

On Casey's side I don't think he'd think much about it. He grew up with michelangeo, and most of his family doesn't have hair anyway.
