#i cant remember how many times there have been bad in-law relationships in YA novels (that or the parent turns out evil bc reasons)#so to see Ysabeau accept Diana as part of her family and call her daughter once she saw how much Matthew loved her is so refreshing to see #and then PHILLIPE DOING IT TOO #diana and matthew adopting jack and still calling him son when he's an adult and with them. diana's protectiveness toward him <3 #matthew's relationship with marcus getting better in s3 #agatha keeping her son + daughter-in-law + grandchild safe and overall the healthy relationships we saw with these four #marcus and jack could've easily been given some bullshit storyline of 'im matthew's son' to drive some angst and issues but NOP #marcus is a big brother to three new kids and he's so excited #gallowglass calling diana 'auntie' lmao i love him so much #sarah and em having their first impressions on matthew will never not be funny and then having to share a space with his mom.#gallowglass and HIS dad fernando (rip Hugh de Clermont) i just know i woulda loved you #a discovery of witches #diana bishop #matthew de clermont #the in-laws are in-lawing #the family dynamics are familying dynamicing #were those even words? yes
