Ongoing Series - Thai

Laws of Attraction (Sat iQIYI) 8fin - Oh the DRAMA. Why does the insane ex (my true love) remind me of the cartel leader from Romancing the Stone? Even the sides got HEA! It was fucking great!!!!! Charn remains a bonkers spoiled evil murderous brat with a cruel smile beloved by his one true paladin. Also: post it love note trope! Been a long while my old friend. NO SINGING!!!!! I do love that wedding jacket frock coat cape thing Charn wore. 

In conclusion: This is a great gay suspense thriller with several solid couples, fun plot, killer characters, queer rep, and a happy ending. Charn may be my favorite lead character of 2023. However, this show is not entirely BL, more on the fringe, like Manner of Death. Add that to several "singing incidents" and pairs being a little weak in the chemistry arena, and this lands safely in 9/10 territory. It’s tons of fun tho: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. 

I Feel You Linger in the Air (Sat grey) ep 3 of 12 - This show is getting more and more lakorn each ep. Apparently the straights are having a class divide arranged marriage crisis. Who cares? Our boy is ALWAYS in trouble. Crazy that he has to save the people who betrayed him in a previous life - but I guess he chose revenge! That's unexpected.

Had to switch to grey and couldn’t find a working rip. It was frustrating and I wouldn’t have bothered except I like this show so much. Still, it means no screen caps because the rez is naff.

Dangerous Romance (Fri YT) ep 3 of 12 - Uh oh. Kang wants to save Sailom and be his hero. The fact that K’s Pa puts no pressure on him whatsoever, makes me wonder if K's Ma committed suicide or something? It’s definitely the opposite parental dynamic we normally see in BL. I have to say, the pacing is great in the show. And the acting is on point. It’s really great. 

Hidden Agenda (Sun YT) ep 8 of 12 - these two just kiss well. I mean not "rip your clothes off Taiwan-style," but sweet young boyfriends-esk. Joke wants to be claimed so bad. It’s great. I enjoyed this ep, unfortunately it looks like we have a manufactured angst drama drop in the next episode. Is this a 10 episode arc? I thought it was 12. It’s odd to have doom happening next episode already.

Only Friends (Sat YT) ep 4 of 10 - Back story time! Ray and Mew are HARD to watch. Incestuous friend group gay is the worst. Omg I got such QAF vibes from this ep. Nick Boston Sand chats = very throw back 90s gay soaps. 

Location game moment: Top's hotel room is also Chan’s apartment in Laws Of Attraction. 

Naughty Babe (Sat YT) ep 1 of 8 - Ooo. Est is back! Hi handsome. Head of security suits you. Please lead out the new Waterboyy remake? You’re perfect for the role. (If it must happen.) Yi’s Pa is GREAT. Please give daddy a nice boy? Could that be our secondary couple for this series? 

Meanwhile, with the leads (sorry I was distracted by daddy) we got us an arranged marriage, run away bride, and an amnesia trope. Put in a secret baby and it's squarely 1980's Harlequin. Will there be Vikings? Sex herbs? Pirates? Dub con?

Be Mine Super Star (Mon Viki) ep 9 of 12 - Again with lovely sex scenes, it’s just the plot stringing them together is frayed. Also don’t fuck in an onsen. Both yech and ouch.

That goes for all y’all.  

Wedding Plan (Wed YT & iQIYI) ep 7fin - Trash watch here! Honestly this was an okay ending, I’m not mad at it. If you can tolerate Mame and liars (kinda the same thing) you’ll be fine with this show.

Summation: An innocent wedding planner falls haplessly and hopelessly in love with a groom who relentlessly pursued him, even though he’s about to marry someone else. A somewhat lackluster mame offering with less of the usual stellar chemistry, but all of the usual lies and manipulation. 7/10

Love in Translation (Sat iQIYI) ep 3 of 10 - I skip everything to do with Tammy and it’s fine. There’s only about 20 minutes of fine but that’s more than enough. On the bright side. So far. No singing.

My Universe (Sun iQIYI) ep 2 of 24 eps - Cassanova Begins Part 2. Aw. It was sad. Another variation on the “my ghost boyfriend” trope (usually sad). 2/10 I don't do sad BL.

Next up is Merry Go Round featuring the pair from Destiny Seeker (we likey) who want to marry each other, but end up fake engaged to the same woman. Beard squared? Looks silly.

Crazy Handsome Rich (Sun Gaga) ep 1 of 10 - There are 2 things I like about this. I bet you can guess what they are.

There wasn’t enough of either in this first ep. ALSO the captions, sound effects, and voice over are truly next level bad. Utterly atrocious.

The 2 leads fucking around in the end credits was the funniest part of the whole show. 

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

Jun & Jun (Korea Thur Viki) ep 7 of 8 - I am confused and frustrated about what the communication delay is between the two Juns. It feels artificial and narratively manufactured. But since this is a short form KBL and I know it will be resolved quickly, I’m not as annoyed as I would be if this were Thai BL. Still it feels audience manipulative. I also feel sorry for Simon. BUT it looks like it’ll be a sweet boyfriends final episode.

Stay By My Side (Taiwan Fri Gaga) ep 10fin - Omg they’re so cute!!! Taiwan the purveyors of ultimate sappy gay domesticity. I am going to miss having these to nonsencing all over my dash.

This show was an interesting take on the "ghost boyfriend" trope. About a boy who is tormented by hearing the dead, except when he is around one other boy - desperation+proximity = love. Unfortunately, the story was erratic and waffled about. While the leads turned in solid performances and the sappy domesticity was off the charts, it never really had the strength of the narrative convictions such a strong concept should have supplied. Highly rewatchable and enjoyable for that sappy domesticity but not a whole lot more. Still I always give extra credit for the diabetes-inducing sugar content and rewatch capacity. 8/10 

Kisseki: Dear to Me (Taiwan Tues Viki & iQIYI) eps 3 of 13(?) - I love the punching thing - there is a lot of violent flirting in this show. I’m not mad about it. Ugh, poor thing has real abandonment issues. And now trust issues. I see why we’re getting 12-14 eps. This gonna be MESSY.

Meanwhile, does EVERYONE have a guest cameo? Not that I’m complaining. Hi BLIHID boys! Now I need to rewatch that show. 

Love Class Season 2 (Korea Fri Viki) eps 7-8 of 10 - Oh my God the next morning w/ couple 2 was so darn cute. They are all such terrible flirts with each other. Honestly, this show makes me laugh more than any other BL currently airing. I’m not sure it is meant to be as funny as I find it. While couple 3 (the mature characters) is by far my favorite, I actually think they don’t work with the other two pairs, they feel superfluous to the show. I like the show better because they’re in it, but it feels like two different BL‘s stuck together. KBL certainly can’t handle more than two couple threads at the same time. 

Why R U? (Korea Wed iQIYI) eps 3-4 of 8 - Ugh. I am such a sucker for the FighterTutor dynamic. Why so good? Uh oh. Real kiss! KBL you're spoiling us. But, isn’t sad-seme-hyung dating some chick? Argh. Poor Sunwoo. This show is even worse at repping Fighter's character sympathetically. Who knew that was possible?

My Personal Weatherman AKA Taikan Yoho (Japan Sat Gaga) ep 3 of 8 - The date episode! Even Japan is doing it now. And these two who have been living/fucking together for ages still dance around each other like junior high kids. I gotta say, I watch this one twice because Vicki has different subs from Gaga. I feel like it’s easier to understand if I watch two different translations of the same script. But it’s still quite a taciturn piece. 

Minato's Laundromat Season 2 AKA Minato Shouji Coin Laundry Season 2 (Japan Thu Gaga) ep 8 of 12 - Sides are great. It was mostly a cute ep with tiny bits of Progress and a proper Confession. I miss Shin’s siblings. And then… the much loathed amnesia trope. Really?

Everyone say it with me: Must you, Japan? 

Stay Still (Hong Kong Tues YouTube) ep 5fin - It ended happier than I was expecting. Optimistic for one couple, and most likely optimistic for the other.

Summation: What to say about this offering from Hong Kong? It’s different, a mix of early CBL, Taiwanese shorts, and Pinoy visuals. It felt like the story was 2 independent shorts that had been lengthen and then stuck together, and I wish they'd been approached as separate and tighter entities. Nevertheless, this was a complex little piece,  interesting in a sweaty grungy way, with a certain aura of queer authenticity that made it simultaneously tense, unpredictable, and refreshing. I’m not sure I would necessarily call it BL, but any county’s early foray into the genre usually starts out this way, so perhaps nascent BL? Worth watching, especially if you enjoy stuff from the Philippines and Taiwan. 7/10

In case you missed it

Dinosaur Love ended its run but the final 2 eps are behind a paywall. Word on the street is they aren't good anyway (shocker) so I'm marking it as DNF and moving on with my life. If I can find em grey I'll watch 'em merely so I can give it a rating, but I can't imagine it will get more than 5/10. Seriously, do not bother.

9/15 Bump Up Business AKA Bump Up Project (Korea movie) suspected cinema release? I don't know much about what's going on. Last status update. Love story between a trainee who is about to debut and a celebrity from the same agency. Kpop boy group OnlyOneOf has signed up to star in this idol-based BL (based on a webtoon). They’ve been auditioning for this since Libido IMHO. You can watch me chronicle their BL MV series in this post. It’s from Idol Romance who will do sad but can do good kisses (Wish You, Nobleman Ryu, Once Again, Kissable Lips, Poongduck 304, Tasty Florida, Tinted With You).

9/26 I Cannot Reach You AKA I Can't Reach You AKA Kimi ni wa Todokanai (Japan ????) - Adapted from the manga, childhood best friends: The cool, smart one who’s good at everything, and his average, dorky friend who struggles. Always by the other’s side, but not together in the way they truly want to be. No matter how hard they try, their hearts cannot reach each other.

9/27 Absolute Zero (Thai iQIYI) - from 2021, Studio Wabi Sabi and New Siwaj finally bring us this “time loop to prevent tragedy” romance. We don’t always get HEAs from them, so I'm on my guard.

Mahiru: I picked Chinese as an elective subject at university but, well, I don’t think I can really say I speak it.

Well, It's a nice passing thought but I guess we'll see when we see. That's if she even makes it to her third trial though. Who knows what could happen.

Forgot because I was starving that it would also be fun for her to get this because it would parallel well with Futa getting Salamander this trial. in a Plus highlight the similarities between them in how they feel love and are heavily attracted to extreme emotions/ black and white framings. They're both either all in or out sometimes. I don't think it's a coincidence they've shown them subtly getting closer over trial two. Futa and Mahiru actually have a great deal in common just as Mahiru does with Kotoko as well.

i've been playing monster sanctuary to cool off and it's been really fun, there is a wall to it but once you understand what the game is asking of you to do in battles it clicked the strategic part of my brain and it's been working really smoothly, albeit that a poor team comp can fuck a battle sideways from the get go. for a monster collector made by basically one guy whose ethos is that pokemon was too easy, it delivers.

i like that evolution is a choice and there's benefits to keeping an 'unevolved' mon as well as its evolved form due to different skill trees to fill out. if you're curious overall, know that you will not get through battles without buffing/debuffing and that team comp is more important than weakness exploitation.

one mon i picked up was a little gecko lizard warrior which of course i named gex-chan and holy fuck that motherfucker rips and tears. tiny little gecko man shredding a beefy minotaur in one swipe. gex-chan i love you

Notes: Unexpected confessions. The reader has a flying type of cursed technique, with the ability to control wind and air currents. Unlike Nishimiya, you do not need any tools, as you can bend the winds into your favor and refract light.

"Hi, Mechamaru senpai, Noritoshi senpai, have either of you seen my cellphone by any chance? I think I might have misplaced it." You asked your seniors politely.

"No, we haven't. Where did you last see it? We could help you look for it." Kamo replied. Mechamaru gave him the side-eye, knowing that if it were anyone else Kamo wouldn't have so easily offered his time to help.

All the students at Kyoto Jujutsu High knew that both of you were in love with each other, but were way too dull to notice it. It is true that love blinds the person. You thought you kept it a secret, but Mai and Momo have been trying to get you to say it to them for weeks.

"Ah I still can't remember. I've been trying my room all day, and now I'm going around the classrooms and training areas we usually use. Arata-kun hasn't seen it around either." You replied with worry. "I'm so sorry to bother you, but I appreciate your offer to help". You bowed to both of them.

"It's no worry at all y/n. I'll let you know as soon as I find it." Kamo replied, a small smile on his face to help ease your nerves. Mechamaru nodded "I have a bit of free time right now, don't worry about it." You thanked them again profusely before running off.

After you left, the two men walked down the corridors leading to the classrooms.

"..... So. Are you planning to confess to her?" Mechamaru asked Kamo. He too was getting tired of seeing you two prance around each other like idiots. He thought it was even more idiotic on your part, since Kamo straight up told you to call him by his first name and gives you special treatment, but you still haven't noticed.

"I'm still thinking about it." Kamo replied. "Her phone is a high priority as of now. Her BTS photos and videos are all in there."

"You're definitely head over heels for her." Mechamaru deadpanned. Kamo even knew and supported your fangirl tendencies. These idiots better hurry it up, he thought to himself.

You entered the shared common area for eating (location reference: Jujusanpo #17). Seeing Mai and Momo there fiddling with a gray stone in a box, you approached them, not knowing the events that were about to transpire.

"Mai senpai, Momo senpai! Hello, I'm sorry bother both of you at the moment. But have you seen my phone?" You asked them. "Haah? You're pretty forgetful aren't you. No I haven't seen it, but I'll let you know if I do." Mai replied. "Me too! Do you want help in looking for it?" Momo answered.

"Yes that would be great if you can!" You brightened. Mai motioned for you to come closer. "We'll help you out if you do us a favour first. We can look for your phone after this." She shot Momo a smirk. Momo quickly caught on. "Yes, we have a special item here today! It belongs to the Zenin Family. Mai is currently holding onto it and will bring it to her home this coming weekend."

Your curiosity was piqued. "What is that?" "It's a truth stone. They say that anyone who holds onto it is forced to speak the truth to any question asked." Mai replied. "Ahhh, perfect for interrogating prisoners of war you mean." You replied. They both looked at you weirdly.

"Hold the stone and answer our question." Momo said. "HAAAHH?! Wha-what are you gonna ask me about?? You know practically everything about me. I can tell you anything about Min Yoongi." You gave a weak laugh. (Internally you were screaming, because you've been fantasizing about Noritoshi senpai a lot. And not all of it was entirely decent. Whoops.)

"Nothing serious. We won't tell anyone else; your secret is safe with us." Momo confidently stated. Mai nodded, smirk still plastered on her face. You just sighed to yourself, wanting to rip off the band-aid quickly you consented. "Let's hurry before anyone comes." Momo jumped up and looked out the door, "The coast is clear girls! We are all good!". She walked back inside and sat down.

Holding onto the truth stone, you gulped and prepared your heart and mind. "Whose arms do you wanna be in?" Mai asked.

Without hesitation and thinking you straight up say "In Noritoshi Senpai's arms. Definitely." Then you freeze and start feeling your face heat up. "Ehhhh?!?!?!" Mai and Momo's eyes were glinting. "Do you like Kamo-kun??" Momo asked excitedly. You were still frozen from the first question making your mind blank, that you didn't think to put the stone down. "Yes I love him." You replied. Then realized what happened.

"You. Did. Not." You gasped. Mai and Momo were absolutely losing it. Holy shit. "It's pretty obvious. Momo and I already knew from the way you acted around him Y/N-chan". Mai laughed out loud. "You finally said it!! Just tell us earlier." Momo giggled.

"Seriously?! Ugh I thought I was doing a good job of hiding it even." You quickly set the stone back in the box. You were a done and gone person. Wait. Nobody did hear it right??? Right?? You quickly turned around and lo and behold. Like the world was telling you that it just wasn't your day.

Mechamaru senpai and Noritoshi senpai were standing just by the doorway of the common room, behind the three of you. Mai and Momo quieted down, suddenly realizing the situation. They weren't heartless, concern quickly replacing their excitement.

Momo swore quietly. "Terrible timing" Mai uttered under her breath. You heard both of them, but couldn't react. You were frozen. Staring into Noritoshi senpai's eyes. You have never seen them this wide open before. You found it cute, but then you mentally slapped yourself. Your brain was in a state of emergency. This is no time to drool over him.

"Well... we found your phone." Mechamaru muttered. Noritoshi stood still in his shock, staring at you, your phone still in his hand, with his face red, but expression slightly twitching, trying to remain nonchalant.

You quickly whipped your head away. This is it folks. You're packing your bags and moving to Norway. Maybe Greenland or a Scandinavian country would be good. Changing names, changing a family perhaps? Are adoptions open? Does the UK accept sudden transfer students? "You're not going anywhere y/n." Mai laughed out loud. That was then you realized you were muttering your thoughts out loud. You thought your face couldn't get any redder, it was positively burning right now.

"Hey-" Noritoshi started, but you didn't wanna face him right now with all your emotions all jumbled and messed up. You ran away as fast as you can, jumping out the window and soaring up to the sky. 'Anywhere is fine. Maybe the clearing for now'.

You muttered an incantation while forming your hand signs, putting an invisible cloak over you as you flew. As high and as fast as you could to your favorite spot.

All that was running in your mind was how utterly done you were at this very moment. 'So much for a proper confession.' You mourned to yourself.

Author chan: Oh yeah, he actually took a lot more care of himself and his appearance/ attitude during this time period. Yes, he did take showers, and yes, he did workout/train. He liked reading, and still had an interest in corn, but it wasn’t as bad as it is now, you know, with him watching it almost all day and such. It was more like a pastime he partook in occasionally. If Flame did something embarrassing in front of Sora, he’d play it off as a joke and be utterly mortified.  Also, yes, whatever he does around Sora is pretty telling of his true nature. Tomura squinted at the figure through the dust. Why the hell was the little brat still standing. “Noumu…” he growled anger rising and furious itching burning across his skin. “I told you to kill them, so KILL THEM!”

The mindless hulking monster that Sensei had promised him would obey every word did not move. Instead it glance at him, a trembling shriek echoing out of its disgusting beak. “Do it.” Tomura repeated, putting as much force into as he could. The mess of quirks and bioengineering, the things designed to crush All Might, to feel no pain and have no fear, took a single step forward before faltering, balking backwards with a warbling caw. 

He could fear Kurogiri’s confusion at his side, and Tomura gaped at the monster that seemed afraid of the little Hero-kun. He whipped his attention back to the cloud of dust, squinting at the boy that stood within it. 

“Ne…” drawled the small form once again, something so incredibly wrong about the soft voice, even as the sand caught in Tomura’s eyes and burned them.

The dust settled, and against his will, Shigaraki stumbled a few steps back at the terrifying intimidation. He seemed smaller, thin, bony wists poking out of the decaying sleeves of a ripped up gakuran. Blood dripped down his arms and off his chin, staining thin mangled limbs and glistening gristely in the light of the black flames that flickered off the boy. His neck lolled slightly, thin and bleeding, wrapped in bandages that whipped about in a phantom wind that rose suddenly, full of the whistling and howling of voices Shigaraki couldn’t fully grasp. A gust blew past pulling up the side of his gakuran, revealing a torso malformed and bashed in, a deeply bruised arm hanging uselessly, twisted grotesquely as if by some sever impact.

Blood dribbled out from grinning teeth as grin eyes glinted at him. “Did you think I would let you hurt anybody else?” 

Tomura couldn’t stop the hysterical fear that rose up in him as he tripped backward, falling over. “N-NOUMU!” He shrieked, hand trembling against his will, itching nearly unbearable. “Kill him!”

“I think that you’re too late for that.” The boy giggled early, shadows growing darker. The grin that looked painful stretched only further. “Besides, Death doesn’t like me enough to keep me.”

The whistling wind picked up, buffeting Tomura back down as he tried to stand. The boy tilted his head, listening to the wind, the howls of agony. “It liked Mon though. And Hannah-chan, didn’t it?” The boy’s eyes welled with glowing tears, disturbing grin still stretch wide, as Tomura’s hairs raised. Panic bubbing beneath shaky hands that dug into the earth but didn’t disintegrate anything for once. “She was so young…” he murmured, grin relaxing just slightly. The boy’s eyes raised to Tomura, growing more viscous, crazed and glinting like the exposed bone poking through his kneecap. “But she’s not the only one you killed, was she, Tenko-kun?” He stepped closer, and Shigaraki stumbled to his feet, intent on running. 

But the boy was in front of him, and he found himself face to face with the bloodcurdling smile as he tried to jerk backward but found his limbs restrained in echoes of dark lightning. The boy leaned in close, whispering conspiratively. “And you know what… they’re angry, Tenko-kun. Very angry… and I think they’d love to tear you apart.” The grin grew further deranged as blood dripped down and sizzled against Tomura’s skin, disappearing. Frost crackled and spread from where the shadowed lightning flickered over Tomura. He shivered “Can’t you hear them?”

Tomura trembled as he was dropped to the ground. The gale rushed around them, buffeting their clothes and sweeping up shadow and dust, Tomura clenched his hands to his ears, digging into his skin until it bled. 

 “CAN’T YOU HEAR US??” screamed the wind, as the boy swept his arm toward their surroundings, grinning hysterically.

My thoughts and opinions on the slew of recent trailers and announcements that no one asked for, but I needed to process all this information. These are just my opinions so don’t hate me.

Marvel:

WandaVision - Not very interested in this and it looks a little too trippy for my taste, but might watch it anyway to see Jimmy Woo and Monica Rambeau (and Billy and Tommy?)

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier - Easily my most anticipated of Marvel’s offerings. I was disappointed that it was delayed but it looks like it will be worth the wait! The trailer was epic. It looks like an action movie. I love Sam and Bucky, and their relationship and banter. Also I can’t wait to see my girl Sharon!

Loki - Not sure what to expect from this one and the trailer did not make things any clearer, but I’m just thrilled that Loki is getting his time to shine away from the Thor franchise.

What If? - Now that I’ve seen the full trailer I am actually quite excited for this! Also the animation looks gorgeous.

Hawkeye - I am not a fan of Jeremy Renner or what they did to Clint’s character in the MCU - hopefully this series will correct some of that. However the dog is adorable, Hailee Steinfeld looks really good as Kate Bishop, and I’m interested to find out what Yelena’s role in the story will be. 

Ms. Marvel - From the brief clips we have it looks like a cute, heartwarming, and inspiring story. It has jumped to the top of my list! 

She-Hulk - I’ve hated Bruce Banner in everything after The Avengers so I hope his involvement in this show is minimal.

Moon Knight - Not interested at the moment.

Secret Invasion - I was never one of those fans who felt like this story had to be adapted for the MCU and I liked what they did with the Skrulls in Captain Marvel, but I’m 100% for it now that Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn are involved!

Armour Wars - Finally giving Rhodey a leading role after playing pivotal supporting roles in a gazillion movies is long overdue. Sounds like an interesting premise. Will definitely watch!

Ironheart - Not very familiar with the character so I don’t have much of an opinion at the moment. Will probably watch though.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special - For some reason I have the feeling this is just going to be a Star Wars Holiday Special parody/rip-off.

I Am Groot - Will probably be cute.

Black Widow - I’m over it at this point. Was never really into it. Should have come out years before Endgame. Will only be watching for Yelena Belova.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings - Admittedly was not familiar with the character prior to the announcement. I like Michelle Yeoh and Awkwafina though, and I’m interested to see what the movie does with The Mandarin (after the disaster that was Iron Man 3). No real opinion until I see the trailer.

Eternals - Would not be interested in this at all except for the fact that I like Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, and Kit Harrington. The cast is massive and star-studded to the point of feeling bloated.

Untitled Spider-Man 4 - Not sold at all on the multiverse/spiderverse, but the previous MCU Spider-Man films are among my favourites and I thought they both sounded like crap initially. Will definitely reserve judgement until I actually see the movie. As much as I adore Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, my wish for this movie is that we see a move towards more classic Spider-Man comic elements (The Daily Bugle and Peter’s photography, a mere mention of Uncle Ben, Harry and Norman Osborn, etc.)

Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness - Not really interested right now.

Thor: Love and Thunder - Will likely not be watching. An unpopular opinion but Ragnarok was my least favourite MCU movie.

Black Panther II - Right now I am just eagerly awaiting any announcement regarding their plans for where they are taking this franchise. 

Captain Marvel 2 - I loved the first movie, Brie Larson, and Carol Danvers. Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau appearing in this makes me so happy! Hopefully Goose will be back! The Ms. Marvel tv show seems to imply that Captain Marvel is famous enough as a superhero to have merchandise, so I hope this movie explains when and how that happened (presumably during the 5 years after the snap that we didn’t see in Endgame).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - Very torn about this one. I really loved the first two movies, but my enthusiasm for the franchise has admittedly soured due to controversies involving certain members of the cast and crew. Will watch it, but not particularly bothered either way.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania - I am truly upset by the decision to recast Cassie Lang, perhaps to the point of being irrational. Hopefully I get over it because I have been looking forward to this movie for so long. The plot sounds good and I am anticipating much family cuteness.

Blade - Never saw the original movies and only know the character from Spider-Man: The Animated Series.

Fantastic Four - We all knew this was inevitable. Just give me a comic accurate Susan Storm and a teenage/young adult Johnny Storm (because if we don’t get Spideytorch content then what’s the point?) and I will be happy.

Untitled Deadpool - Not the biggest Deadpool fan, but the second movie was amusing. Will probably watch out of curiosity. 

Untitled X-Men/Mutant movie - Not sure how they are going to integrate Mutants into the already very established history of the MCU. If they do go ahead with this movie I hope that it focuses on different characters from the 20th Century Fox X-Men franchise. Personally I don’t want to see Erik and Charles played by anyone else after Ian McKellan, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Stewart, and James McAvoy.

Star Wars:

Obi Wan Kenobi - We have Hayden Christensen! This is not a drill! Honestly I am so happy! He was absolutely incredible in RotS and he truly deserves all the love he’s been getting over the years. As exciting as a reunion between his Vader and Ewan’s Obi Wan will be, a tiny part of me is frustrated because I thought Episode IV implied that their encounter on the Death Star was their first encounter since Mustafar? I’m sure they will find a way to make it work, however. Deborah Chow is an amazing director. I hope they cast a young Luke :3

Andor - Definitely my most anticipated Star Wars project after Obi Wan Kenobi. Really excited to see more of life in the Rebel Alliance, and loving the sound of the “nail-biting spy thriller” angle. Glad that Genevieve O’Reilly is back as Mon Mothma. Keeping my fingers crossed for Jimmy Smits. 

The Bad Batch - The animation looks stunning. Always interested to see more of the early days of the Empire.

Ahsoka - I don’t want it

Rangers of the New Republic - Not a lot of information except that it’s “culminating in a climatic event” with other stories, which sounds ugh. Reserving judgement until we learn more and see a trailer.

Lando - Awaiting more info. No word yet on whether Donald Glover or Billy Dee Williams will be back, but we can’t go wrong if either one (or both) are involved.

The Acolyte - Sounds like it could be interesting. Glad to see other time periods in the Star Wars universe being explored.

Star Wars: Visions - Will probably watch for pretty anime animation.

A Droid Story - Sounds like it will be cute, and I love droids so will probably watch. 

Rogue Squadron - Unless it’s an adaptation of the EU Rogue Squadron, I’m not particularly interested. If we’re getting Corran Horn, Mirax Terrik, Tycho Celchu, and Wes Janson, however, then I am 100% onboard!

Untitled Taika Waititi Star Wars - Not a fan of Ragnarok as has already been established, nor did I like aspects of his episode of The Mandalorian. Can’t imagine that I will be interested.

Other:

Fate: The Winx Saga (Netflix) - This looks like a cheesy guilty pleasure at best and a dumpster fire at worst. I wish that Prince Sky’s hair was longer. W.I.T.C.H. would have translated better into live-action if they wanted to adapt a mid-2000s era cartoon.

Batwoman Season 2 (The CW) - This looks like a huge improvement from season 1. Judging from the trailer I think they made an excellent decision by bringing in Javicia Leslie. The character dynamics all look really interesting. My most anticipated CW show along with Superman and Lois.
