I might not post much today, this morning I woke up and Found my 13 year old cat has passed away in his sleep. I've just been sitting around crying and processing. Sorry.

Sad stuff under cut

So my guinea pig, Al, died yesterday, after a long and comfortable life.

He was more my brothers' s or my parent's pet than mine, since I have a snake of my own, but it's still a blow to lose him.

We got him and his brother Percy during Lockdown and they've been a constant in our lives for a while. The living room is gonna feel so empty and quiet without their enclosure taking up half of it.

We buried him in the garden where he liked to eat the grass, under a rose bush.

Goodbye, Al. You were a warm and fluffy source of comfort to my family when we needed you, rest in piece. <3

had to euthanize one of my isopods b/c of stuck shed and i feel a lot worse about it than i probably should

chilchuck spends the entirety of his daughters' visit hovering suspiciously between them and a certain dwarf. when it's time for the girls to go home and no proposals have been made, he breathes a sigh of relief — awkward coworker x family member romance route narrowly avoided!

a couple weeks later meijack shows back up unannounced, backpack laden with tools and thigh-high boots looking uncharacteristically spiffy. bewildered and betrayed, chilchuck rounds on a clueless senshi, only freezing mid-swear when meijack interrupts to ask after namari's whereabouts.

the last thing he remembers thinking is, "shit, i forgot about the other dwarf!" before promptly blacking out.

I saw on the news that the NJ power outage was due to a bird dropping a fish on a transformer and they had an image up to supplement but it was a pencil drawing of the bird with the words SUSPECT SKETCH on top and that's sending me

so i'm not trying to be dramatic or anything, but i defo think this has removed 911 from my comfort show status.

like yes. impactful death. people die. navigating those changes and growth.

i'm excited to hopefully see hen as captain and how everyone in the 118 grow from this pain.

but my fav thing about 911 was that the main characters didn't die. like that it was virtually impossible.

but now i don't want to get attached. i'll still follow for buddie and watch the show, but eek. no more comfort lol.
