Here's a thought I had. Arthur humming to himself absent-mindedly. John harmonizing. Both creating a beautiful few seconds of a little harmony that only they can hear. A shared moment between them and only ever them.

update re: I Watch Marvel Content So You Don’t Have To: they did give the teenage boy a boyfriend. i mean technically he’s had one the whole time but they gave him one on screen and not just as a number on a missed call with a single line. they got to kiss and have several scenes together. i begrudgingly enter Didn’t Fumble This into the record.
#agatha show…. doesn’t suck ass#i wouldn’t call it good per se#but it’s alright. which for marvel. is progress.#3 episodes left is ofc plenty of time for things to get stupid and is in fact usually when things start getting real dumb#but it’s ok. the important thing is now that i’ve watched it i can also watch like three and a half hours of ringer podcasts about it.#mcu

about once every 5-6 years i get the urge to actually clean my house
well friends today is that day
and i just needed to share it here because my husband (who handles the cleaning during all the years in between) is not here to witness it
#i actually am MORE likely to clean like this when he is away#🤷♀️#also im listening to old ringer podcast eps about s6 of bcs#and getting soooo annoyed when these dudes talk about j&k not having a romantic relationship (!?)#but then they also referred to max as gus' brother which just... are you kidding me lmao#yes gus went on a 20+ year revenge spree and built a beautiful memorial fountain for his uhhh...brother 🥴

The casting in The Last Airbender movie is all over the place, but we all knew about the whitewashing. What we didn’t remember is that Monk Gyatso is Black (shout out to Damon Jamal Gupton). And also they muted Gyatso’s lines, for some reason. Well, Dallas had a field day with that. Check out our Last Airbender reaction for more of what we think Monk Jamal might be saying.

The Dead Ringers TV Show Surprised Us, To Say The Least
It's no secret that we are extremely against most remakes or reboots. There's just something about touching a great original piece and trying to do it yourself or modernize it for whatever reason.
Then in comes Dead Ringers. We tried so hard not to watch. But finally gave in. And we are glad we did.
David Cronenberg is a masterful director. The pieces he turns in are usually amazing all around.
This series was brought in to update it. There is a new flair here with the genders being reversed. The show doesn't pull any punches either.
There's a sense of uneasiness as you watch Rachel Weisz slither through each scene. She is great in this role. The show may have changed the gender roles in this but it's far from being a "woke" show as a lot of other people have described.
Some of the dialogue and scenes are offensive in nature. They show brutal violence up close and births of children in graphic detail. They curse and swear and it's not heavily leaned into the political or societal elements at all.
It's just a well made television show with great performances all around. Rachel Weisz is amazing as usual.
And for those unaware, Dead Ringers is about a set of twin doctors who are pushing themselves further i to insanity as time progesses. This feels like Cronenberg would appreciate what they did with the show.

#i usually really like the spirits podcast but sometimes they say something that is soooo. everyone involved was a white woman.#just finished the women and other monsters episode and the ghsjjfjd.... 'the story tells that these people came onto this strange land and#took the cows they saw there and then the harpies came back and saw what was theirs was stolen and they confront the men and im surprised#this obvious connection isnt talked about more'#me: yeah thats a dead ringer for colonialism#them: a man can take and its fine but if a woman demands her rightful place it's evil#.... obviously the influence of the patriarchy cant be denied but that threw me. and no mention of colonisation hfjdjfj#also it just reminded me of that 'a man can laugh but a woman must chuckle' or whatever tweet

chris ryan casually dropping a joking use of "the great work continues"... continuing to prove himself the ringer person i would most enjoy hanging out with in real life despite on paper the two of us having nothing in common except a deep love for the david fincher movie zodiac
#i gave up on the big pic for a while bc sean and amanda got... annoying... may or may not ever resume#i had already fallen off and then i checked the reddit in advance for their anatomy of a fall takes#and was like... if i listen to this i will have to become a murderer so i can kill sean fennessey with my bare hands#i will have to go to murder school and do all the homework and buy all the equipment#plus airfare to LA etc.#so. anyway. but before that happened#i listened to their dune 2 episode#and was struck by two separate moments where chris like#very lightly and casually mentioned something about the filmmaking i hadn't noticed#that i thought was a good observation that made me appreciate the movie more#(the one i remember was something about the movie shooting timmy more from below as it goes on - as he increases in status/power)#(good note!)#and then i realized that like sean is the self-styled movie guy who watches like 600-800 movies a year and does a movie podcast#and i could not remember even one time he had done that. lmao.#anyway. ok now we're all caught up on my parasocial opinions of ringer podcast guys#sorry i don't have anywhere else to put this... the reddit is not a safe space for this opinion
