You were spending the weekend at Shotaro's house, but with your final exams approaching, you had decided to dedicate at least a few hours each day to reviewing your notes. Shotaro was totally fine with that, knowing how important those exams were to you. While you were sitting at his desk, deeply focused on your studies, he lay on the bed reading a manga.

“Shotaro, can you pass me a pillow?” you asked, turning in your chair to look at him, massaging your sore back.

“Huh…?” Shotaro looked at you, confused from the bed, but after a moment, he handed you a pillow.

Seeing his confused expression, you couldn’t help but laugh. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing… I was just surprised you called me by my name. Did I do something…?”

“Oh! Did I call you that?” You giggled as you got up from the chair, walking over to the bed and flopping onto him with a small laugh. “Sorry, honey, I was just too focused…”

“It’s okay, I thought you were mad at me…” Shotaro mumbled, laughing as well while running his fingers through your hair. “Are you done?”

“No… but I’m going to take a break for a few minutes. I need this…”

You were so nervous. You had been dating Eunseok for a few months, but this was the first time you’d be having dinner with his family. For his birthday, Eunseok had invited you to the family dinner, and although you weren’t sure about going at first, you ended up agreeing because you knew how much it meant to him.

During the whole dinner, you tried your best to make a good impression, and Eunseok was also making sure you felt comfortable by holding your hand under the table and including you in the conversations. When dinner ended, Eunseok stood up to clear the table, and seeing him, you did the same.

“Let me help you, Eunseok…”

“Huh?” You both stared at each other for a few seconds before heading to the kitchen together, carrying the dishes.

“What was that about?” Eunseok murmured as he cornered you in the kitchen, leaving you confused.

“What? Did I do something wrong?” You couldn’t understand what had happened; you thought everything had gone well.

“You called me Eunseok… Am I not your ‘love’ anymore?” He said it so seriously that you couldn’t help but sigh and laugh.

You cupped his face in your hands and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. “Sorry, love, I’m just really nervous…”

“Don’t worry, babe, you’re doing great.”

Sungchan had been wanting to introduce you to his friends for a long time, but the opportunity never seemed to come up. After months of dating, one of his friends organized a party, and Sungchan thought it would be the perfect time for you to finally meet them. He had talked so much about them that you knew exactly who everyone was, and they were just as he had described, making it easy for you to chat with them.

Sungchan seemed really happy seeing you get along with his friends, but his smile faded when you turned to him to ask something.

“Can you come with me to get a drink, Sungchan?”

Though it took him a second to respond, he finally looked at you, confused. “Sungchan?”

All his friends were staring at the two of you, as Sungchan spoke in a slightly worried tone.

“You haven’t called me by my name in so long… Am I not your babe anymore?”

You couldn’t help but be surprised by his reaction, hearing his friends laugh in the background, clearly used to Sungchan’s behavior. A bit embarrassed, you grabbed his hand, laughing as you pulled him toward the drinks table.

“Sorry, baby, I forgot. I didn’t think you’d want me to call you that in front of your friends…”

“Of course I do, I’m your babe...”

“Wonbin!”

Wonbin had been in the shower for more than 20 minutes, and you needed to get in too since you both had to leave soon. You knocked on the door several times, calling his name repeatedly, but after minutes of no response, you sighed and sat down on his bed to wait.

A few minutes later, Wonbin finally came out of the bathroom with wet hair and a bathrobe wrapped around him. From the bed, you looked at him as you stood up.

“Didn’t you hear me? I’ve been calling you for a while…”

“Huh? You were calling me?” Wonbin stepped closer, putting a hand on his chin, before looking at you with a playful smile. “I only heard you calling for some guy named Wonbin, but as far as I know, I’m ‘Baby,’ right?”

You couldn’t believe what Wonbin had just said. After being stunned for a few seconds, you burst out laughing.

“Did you really not come out sooner just because I didn’t call you Baby…? Ah…” You sighed, smiling and shaking your head.

It was such a typical Wonbin thing that it didn’t surprise you at all. Before you headed into the bathroom, Wonbin pulled you close and planted a kiss on your lips.

ᯓ★ SEUNGHAN

You and Seunghan had spent the whole afternoon in bed watching one of your favorite series, cuddling and giving each other affection the entire time. You loved spending lazy afternoons like this with him, in his arms, enjoying the way his fingers gently stroked your hair.

Sometimes, it was hard for you to stay awake, and that was exactly what was happening at that moment. As Seunghan caressed your arm, you felt your eyes slowly closing.

Realizing you were about to fall asleep, you wanted to tell Seunghan to pause the show.

“Seunghan, I’m getting… sleepy…”

“Seunghan?” He quickly paused the series and looked at you, confused. “Why Seunghan?”

You opened your eyes, noticing Seunghan’s pouty expression. You were confused for a moment but soon realized what was happening. Laughing, you gently stroked his cheek and kissed his hand.

“Sorry, love, I was falling asleep.”

“Mmm… I got worried,” he murmured, smiling again as he set the laptop aside. He snuggled up with you in bed and kissed your forehead. “Let’s rest now, love.”

You hadn’t expected pet names to be so important to Sohee. You had started using them a few weeks ago, and honestly, you loved hearing him call you ‘baby.’

You didn’t think that forgetting to call him by one just once would affect him so much. You had called him by his name while you were shopping at a store, and when he came over to you, his face looked serious, a little down, which you found odd.

“Is something wrong?”

“No, it’s just…”

“Come on, honey, tell me.”

“I was just surprised you called me by my name, but it’s fine.”

You couldn’t help but smile at how cute he sounded. Was Sohee really upset over something like that? You gently held his face in your hands to make him look at you.

“That’s way too cute, honey… I’m sorry, it won’t happen again, okay?”

Sohee’s sweet smile returned as he nodded, his eyes sparkling once more.

You were really good at picking up when something was bothering Anton. You had met up with your group of friends to hang out, but for a while now, you could tell that Anton was being a bit too quiet.

Although he laughed at a few jokes you made or smiled when your eyes met, you could sense that something wasn’t quite right.

At one point, you decided to take his hand and pull him aside for a moment to talk in private.

“Is something wrong? You seem a bit down…”

“It’s nothing, just something silly,” he mumbled, avoiding your gaze.

“Come on, sweetie, tell me. Do you want to go home?”

“It’s not that… It’s just that earlier, at home, you… well, you called me by my name, and I thought maybe you were mad at me or something.”

“Oh… Did I? I must’ve done it without thinking. I’m not mad, silly,” you said, smiling as you gently stroked his hands.

Hearing your words, Anton looked at you and let out a small sigh of relief before smiling again.
