My dream party for a Watcher DnD podcast:

Steven Lim. This man commits to the bit on a level that I don't think I'll ever be able to comprehend. He is EVERYTHING. The amount of chaotic energy he brings to the Watcher Cinematic Universe is incredible and watching him play DnD again would probably mend every single piece of my little rotten soul.

Ryan Bergara. I know, Ryan would OBVIOUSLY be in the party if they made a show, but WE NEED TO HIGHLIGHT HOW AWESOME HE IS. Again, incredibly chaotic energy, committing to the bit, lots of good vibes, the whole shebang. But what I'd be most excited for would be for Ryan to play in a long term campaign and start going full conspiracy theorist with the lore. It would be incredible.

Katie Leblanc. Just watch her as Quezza in Sdndnd. That's all. She's so wonderful.

Joyce Louis-Jean. JOYCE. IS. EVERYTHING. She's incredibly funny, charming, and would create the most kickass PCs, I can feel it in my BONES. I support Joyce rights and Joyce wrongs, and would be thrilled to see both unfold in a campaign.

Ricky Wang. I think Ricky would be an INCREDIBLE person to have at the table. Sure, he isn't as openly chaotic as Steven / Shane / Ryan, but he brings this subtle, supportive energy to the shows he's on. He has such a wonderful presence, and I feel like he'd be an incredible team player. Plus, he's got a bit of a chaotic streak too. We've seen how excited he got about the potential of committing arson on that one ph episode.

"But Boog, where is Shane?"

Oh, you silly silly booger, Shane would be the DM! After seeing his storytelling prowess in the hot daga / puppet history / sdndnd, I would be absolutely THRILLED to see a patented Shane Madej™ homebrew world. Can you IMAGINE the lore he'd create??? The NPCs???

Alternatively, if Shane doesn't DM, I think Brennan Lee Mulligan would be a great fit to play with the Watcher crew. However, it would also be cool to see Brennan as a player in the campaign.

The special features of Talladega Nights adding lore:

- Carley had sex with the bass player of Nickelback.

- Susan takes care of Walker and Texas Ranger when Carley doesn't want to.

- Carley was also the one who came up with the Fig Newton sticker.

- Carley is aware of Susan and Ricky's budding relationship.

- Cal ate a caramel apple belonging to Ricky which apparently would make him upset.

- Extended lore/not a gag reel about Lucius doing Donna Summer impressions and drag, and why he likes it.

- Cal is scared of Walker and Texas Ranger, especially because they attacked him in bed with a steak knife and pulled his mustache.

- Walker and Texas Ranger played with the heart monitor and made the doctors think Ricky was dying. They also wanted to find drugs in the hospital.

Forty years ago today, May 29th, 1983, Van Halen headlined the US Festival in San Bernardino, CA. Billed as "The Musical Event of the 80s," the '83 US Festival was like a gift from the heavens. Throughout four days, music lovers would flock to Southern California's Glen Helen Regional Park, enjoying everything from Oingo Boingo to Ricky Skaggs.

Apple Computers wizard Stephen Wozniak, who put together the previous year's show, organized the '83 event. He was determined to make the '83 event the biggest show in history. Capitalizing on the latest technology, he hoped to draw over one million people to the 500-acre site. Two large video screens would afford spectators unobstructed views of the 300 x 67-foot stage. Their eardrums were sure to be assaulted by 400,000 watts of power, and there was no better band to make the most of every watt than Van Halen.

Wozniak made history by offering Van Halen $1.5 million to headline "Heavy Metal Day." The Guinness Book of World Records even created a category for VH's big paycheck: "The artist or band receiving the most money for a single performance."

A few years ago, the YouTube channel Rock Remastered remastered the video and audio of Van Halen's complete set, using three video sources, including the Italian TV broadcast (Raitre channel), for the best viewing and listening experience possible. As you will see and hear, the hard work paid off. It's certainly worthy of sharing with Van Halen fans on the 40th anniversary of what is arguably the most publicized concert in Van Halen history.

The lights just went down, and the audience of 3000,000 are up and on their feet. It's showtime!

In the days before cell phones; he has to call his boss from the phone box reporting his lack of progress and some astronomical sightings until eventually Happer comes over himself and immediately strikes up a rapport with Fulton Mackay who lives on the beach (and who is steadfastly refusing to sell). It is is simple story very well told with a slightly unpredictable, happy ending and a brilliant score from Mark Knopfler. Filipe Manuel Neto: **Slow, with boring characters and dialogues and a disjointed script, this film does not justify the “hype” around it.** This is one of those indie films that has won over a legion of self-confessed admirers. It’s a film that everyone speaks highly of, as if it were a solid masterpiece. I didn’t know that when I saw it for the first time, so I saw it without a lot of expectations. I’m glad I did it: despite recognizing some merits, I am convinced that the film has been well overrated. The proof is the way it fell into oblivion! If we exclude fans and movie nerds who know everything (and when they don’t, they make it up) who really remembers this movie? The film revolves around a story that is very simple: in the north of Scotland, there is a small bay with a beach and a sleepy village. When a rich oil entrepreneur decides to buy all that to build a huge refinery and a terminal for oil tankers, all those people are expectant, wanting to sell what they have for the best price. Only two people disagree: a marine biologist who want to preserve and study the local, and an old simpleton who owns a good part of that beach. The film had some potential, but it lacks solidity and a good script. Time is spent in sterile dialogue, rambling about comets, constellations and flirting. It is also very unbelievable, as a project like this would never be so consensual, there are always those who oppose it for financial or ecological reasons, or mere nostalgia. The Mitchell started out in the early 90s of EastEnders, they were one of the typical East End families and Peggy Mitchell the family matriarch was based on Violet Cray, so she betrayed her sons Phil and grant , being like the family , for Barbara Windsor this must’ve been quite fun for her because she dated Reggie Cray and also Charlie kray so she dealt with the mother firsthand, and the mother could be very patronising. She was the original boy mum I say that all the time on my TikTok the boy mum are very very different. Need to go on mums, and the way they treat their sons can sometimes be really disgusting and misogynistic internalised misogyny, so Barbara wins often paid out of how she was treated, Peggy is a really unlikable character, and so is Phil and so is Grant and so is Sam and Billy but all different, Phil when he first started off I found was like the least unlikable compared to Grant who was very abusive to his partners especially Tiffany and Sharon but especially Tiffany because I thought it betrayed and domestic violence of it always really unsettling, specially when Phil ends up being the voice of reason Peggy and Peggy isn’t blaming someone else but her sons you know that shits going down and things ain’t right, when she gets a mouthful, Pauline Fowler mother she is, they all have very different unlikable qualities and Phil comes out with his drug use and how he treats women but it wasn’t originally for me how he treated women because like I said compared to grant it was nothing, which Sam and Billy that almost like the drag of the Mitchells, Billy being like the dogs body that nobody really cares about you’re not a problem Mitchell unless you feel grown or Peggy, Peggy    I’m treating her to a very differently to her sons, I said not being properly unless they went through something really traumatic or some sort of fight or some sort of fight with her sons partners .
