At the end of the iconic transformation sequence, Kessler becomes a 'juvenile' and less furred werewolf, nicknamed the 'man-beast' by the crew. It is only briefly seen in the final film.

The man-beast was a rod puppet operated by someone underneath the set, created from two different moulds - the body was a recasting of the transformation body mould, and the head was a recasting of the final werewolf mould.

NECA has unveiled an American Werewolf in London two-pack featuring David and Jack action figures. Due out in October, pre-orders are live for $69.99.

Each 7" scare toy is fully poseable. David includes two interchangeable heads (normal and nightmare). Jack comes with three interchangeable heads and swappable coat and arms to show various stages of decay. They're packaged together in a window box with opening flap.
