Station Alp Grum, Switzerland, in 1948 by Frederick McLean Via Flickr: A photograph from a large collection of old European tram photos that I bought. This one is car No. 3 of the Bernina Railway (part of the Rhaetian Railway), taken in a snow storm on 01 Apr 1948 outside the restaurant at Station Alp Grum in the Bernina Pass, Switzerland.
MODERN DAY VIEW. tinyurl.com/y4c9le8k
ALP GRUM ON WIKIPEDIA. tinyurl.com/yy2hjm2p
The photograph reverse is annotated with "Zwitserland. B.B. Berninabahn (= Rhatische Bahn). B.B. treinstel in de sneeuw. Station Alp Grüm. 1-4-48".
I have no information about European trams or tramways, I bought the collection of old pictures rather than take the chance that they would be thrown away if unsold.
🚃🚃 Thanks to Paul Haywood (paul.haywood26) for the following comment:- "A timeless winter scene with one of the original motor cars and trailers built by SIG in 1910-11 for the opening of this line. The Bernina Bahn became part of the Rhatische Bahn network in 1942. Although considered an electric light railway, these cars would traverse the streets tramway-fashion to their terminus in Tirano (Italy)." 🚃🚃
If there are any errors in the above description please let me know. Thanks.

Evening Trains At Filisur Bahnhof, Switzerland
Filisur Bahnhof (station) is located on the Albula Railway, approximately half way between Chur & St Moritz. It is on the route of both the Glacier Express & Bernina Express. The famous Landwasser Viaduct is also located very close by.

A Visit To The Brusio Circular Viaduct / Viadotto Elicoidale di Brusio
The Brusio Circular Viaduct / Viadotto Elicoidale di Brusio is located on the Rhaetian Railway / Rhätische Bahn's Bernina Railway, in Switzerland but very close to the Italian Border & city of Tirano.
It is "hallowed ground" for many railfans and is very special to me. Whilst I first travelled over the Viaduct in January 1992, I wanted to experience it from the ground. These scenes are from my visit in September 2014.
It was an easy downhill walk from Brusio station, however the return was quite a hard uphill hike, demonstrating how steep the railway gradient is.

Filisur Bahnhof
One of my favourite places to visit / stay...
From my recent stay at the trackside Hotel Grischuna. Four wonderful days rail fanning on the Rhätische Bahn / Rhaetian Railway.  Being from Australia my great hope was for some snowfall, but it was not to be..

#Rhätische Bahn: spectaculair spoor
Tumblr media

Landwasser Viaduct, Filisur
the viaduct was built between 1901 and 1902 by Müller & Zeerleder for the Rhätische Bahn / Rhaetian Railway, which still owns and uses it today. A signature structure of the World Heritage-listed Albula Railway, it is 65 metres (213 ft) high, 136 metres (446 ft) long, with one end leading directly into the Landwasser Tunnel.
A lookout for the bridge can be reached by a path from the Filisur Station.
