Neutral / Chaotic Good ... Iโm a bit unsure of her moral alignment tbh
Queen of Wands
Aquarius Sun, Capricorn Moon, Scorpio Rising
The daughter ofย Prince Aemon Targaryen and Lady Jocelyn Baratheon, Rhaenys II was a capable, spirited and proud woman. Simply said, she was bold. Her namesake was after the sister-wife of Aegon I, the Conqueror of the Seven Kingdoms, Rhaenys Targaryen.ย
ย Considered next in line for the Iron Throne when her father died, she was known asย โThe Queen Who Never Was.โ And when she was presented to her grandmother, Queen Alysanne, she had said that Rhaenys wasย โour queen to be.โ
ย ย Aemon had been the Prince of Dragonstone, but when he died, King Jaehaerys named Aemonโs younger brother as heir, Baelon (Viserys & Daemonโs father). King Jaehaerys outlived the majority of his children, and was still alive after the death of Baelon. This is when heย made the decision that Viserys was to rule, rather than Rhaenys II.ย
ย With the Targaryen blood running through her veins, Rhaenys was a true dragonrider. She bonded withย Meleys the Red Queen, and the pair developed an incredibly deep relationship. It has been said that one was a part of the other.ย
ย ย Rhaenys was married to Lord Corlys Velaryon of Driftmark. On their wedding day, she was adamant that she wanted to arrive on Meleys, even after being denied, Rhaenys did so anyway.ย
ย She had two children with Corlys, Laena and Laenor Velaryon, who she absolutely adored. Motherhood seemed to click with Rhaenys, her love for her children was boundless. That same love was shown in her grandchildren, specifically Baela and Rhaena, Laenaโs daughters with Daemon Targaryen. She had a fondness for Rhaenyraโs sons, Jace, Luke and Joffrey, but she knew that they were bastards (show-wise, in the books she would have had the same devotion.)

the real joy of s2 ep4 of hotd is the personalities imbued in all the dragons. The look Meleys gives Rhaenys just before they die, the feeling that both of them are seasoned warriors like brothers in arms. The way Sunfyre appears to play push Aegon (as if they are friends more than anything) and wraps himself around Aegonโs mangled body as if to protect him while Sunfyre himself lays dying. The way Aemond tells Vhagar to chill the fuck out and she just flops back onto the floor like she couldnโt give a shit what they do! All the dragons had personality. It was both lovely and heartbreaking all at once. it makes the downfall of the Targaryen house all the more devastating and bittersweet to know these relationships between ride and dragon are being lost to history and time.

Sunfyre moved his wing to shield Aegon from Vhagar's fire.
He landed on his wounded belly, which means even though he fell out of the sky backwards, he angled his body to avoid crushing Aegon and take the full brunt of the fall.
Eventually, when Aemond found him, he curled up around his rider.

Petition for all team Black and team Green fans to not be at each other's throats this upcoming season, and instead, we all just root for our favorite war criminals in peace? And normalize liking characters from each team and just have a preference on teams? Because that sounds like a fun time to me, thank you ๐ซถ

Women who are logical, strategists and one step ahead of the crowd. Theyโre destined for greatness, whether they want it or not. Some are open-minded, some are witty and some ambitious. Theyโre the leaders of the group, the ones who take control without meaning to. People admire and look up to them.ย
