I finished the Silent Hill 2 remake! Honestly a much more satisfying experience than I was expecting out of a Bloober Team remake of a classic lol

Overall I think it was a rly good foray into modernizing the classic Silent Hill experience; it had some hiccups but all first attempts will I suppose. The start is a bit rough-- the earliest puzzles feel a bit aimless or nonsensical, and it's missing some simple finishing touches like not allowing melee attacks to phase through walls. Enemies occasionally move so quickly in the overworld that it comes off as goofy instead of scary, and I was somewhat disappointed in the enemy models; they weren't bad designs, they're p much exact copies of the originals, but they unfortunately share that simplicity in 3d model structure that makes them stick out from the otherwise high fidelity game world (which looks fantastic I won't lie). The HUD and some basic menu controls were also a bit cumbersome or just plain boring; I wish they looked closer to the original instead of using that minimalist white style every game that runs on Unreal uses.

THAT said, cons out of the way, I really enjoyed myself! It definitely kept that classic Silent Hill horror vibe, and, at least to me, none of the new exploration mechanics (climbing through holes in the wall, moving carts, etc.) felt out of place or like they interrupted the gameplay loop. People were worried the combat would be too action-oriented and lean into ResEvil-type tropes, but it was honestly the exact same amount of combat as the original, and the dodge mechanic was great! Didn't feel like a fighting game at all, still very much at its core a survival horror exploration puzzle experience. And actually I think the way combat worked was a really good ludonarrative design decision-- not having a confirmed or easily visible number of post-kill "stomps" etc. to make sure an enemy is really dead forces you to handle them exactly as James would: with unthinkable violence. I don't know that that was really on purpose but it's what ended up sticking out to me.

Bloober Team also did a really nice job of including as much of the original as possible without reusing every classic puzzle wholesale; felt fresh but still exactly like a Silent Hill Puzzle™. Top 5 RPG Horror Game Character Relationships

The world of RPG Horror games is dark and twisted. Characters are subjected to sick situations in horrific environments. Most of the time, there’s one morally good character, but their often the main character. Other characters tend to be morally bad people or they later become evil to some degree. Upon a character escaping the horrors they’ve experienced, a player may discover the end results aren’t what they expected. Depending on the game, there are multiple endings. Some are unsatisfying, sad or completely unsettling. Due to this, it’s hard to find a ray of light within a nightmarish reality. In this article, the brighter side to RGP horror games will be covered through the relationships established between characters. Disclaimer: This article contains spoilers to the games.

1. Ib & Garry from Ib

In modern times, an adult befriending a child is wrong. Most would assume the child is in danger with a pedophile. However, Ib and Garry become close friends through a sibling-like bond. Garry caringly watches over Ib like a guardian. Due to this, Garry will kindly answer any questions she has. When they’re separated, Garry worries about Ib and always thinks of her regardless if he’s scared. Thus, Garry feels protective of Ib and will rush to save her at the rick of his life. In return, Ib caringly reciprocates his feelings for him. Ib trusts and feels safe around Garry to the point she’ll kindly use her handkerchief to cover his cut hand. Unfortunately, their relationship is determined by the player’s choices. Ib will fall into despair and give up if she’s unable to restore his sanity through her protective hugs. Towards the end, if the player earns enough bond points, they’ll unlock the ‘good ending’, “Promise of Reunion”, where the two remain friends.

2. Shiori Kanzaki & Suga Koutarou from Forest of Drizzling Rain

As children, the two were close best friends. One day, Suga encountered the Kotori Obake believing he should die. However, Shiori protected him and the Kotori Obake demanded her life instead. Not wanting to lose his only friend, Suga gave up his voice in exchange for Shiori’s life. When Shiori turned nineteen she returned to her old home with memory loss. Upon which, Suga, now nineteen to twenty years old; became determined to return her loyalty by protecting her. Suga and Shiori’s relationship grows stronger as each person demonstrates their love for each other. In the true and good end, the two become a couple in a romantic relationship.

3. Robin & Aya from Mad Father

Aya is an eleven-year-old girl. Robin is possibly thirteen to fourteen when he was hired by Alfred. Robin eventually became protective over Aya seeing she held similarities towards his late sister. Unfortunately, he became an experiment for Alfred. Thus, his missing eye and his horribly burned face being disfigured. Robin survived the experiment thanks to Monika’s ghost. In return, Robin was instructed to take care of her daughter. When Robin first meets Aya, he offers to help her by showing her the way, but Aya runs away after seeing half his face. Later, Alfred attempts to kill Aya and Maria but Robin saves them by incapacitating Alfred. Before Aya and Maria leave, Robin says Aya has no need to thank him and he had no intentions to scare her earlier. He then explains he must set fire to the mansion to rid any traces of her father’s work and prevent the tragedy from happening again. Robin then asks Aya to remember her father’s victims since their existence would be forgotten otherwise. Aya agrees. As the mansion begins to burn Robin kisses Aya on the forehead and says “Goodbye Aya. May you be smiled upon.” This is a charm previously shown and given to Aya earlier by her mother before she died.

4. Aki Narukami & Misao Furukawa from Misao

While they weren’t quite friends when Misao was still alive, Misao chose Aki to find her missing body parts. This is due to two reasons. From the start of the game, Aki expressed wanting and wishing to be Misao’s friend. Aki was also the only person Misao ever talked to who didn’t bully or hurt her. Rather, the two had a friendly yet modest interaction with each other. The scenario is determined by the player choosing the main character’s gender. In the True ending, Aki and Misao become friends, holding hands.

5. Akito Narukami & Misao Furukawa from Misao

While they weren’t quite friends when Misao was still alive, Misao chose Akito to find her missing body parts. This is due to two reasons. He also notes they should become better friends before having a chance as lovers. Akito then goes on to say he likes her and he’ll always be her friend. The two then become friends, both smiling and leaning against each other with their foreheads near touching.

Satsuriku no Tenshi (Angels of Death/Slaughter) is a horror RPG game (like Ib, etc) from the Creator of Forest Of Dizzling Rain (Sanada Makoto) and.. I totally fell in love for it. It's not as scary as some other horror RGP games I know but still, It's amazing and all the characters are well done. Ray and Zack in particular (to me) and even more how their relation evolves during the game !

 So, yeah, here a little sketch of my two favorite characters of this game as chibi ! Also, sorry for being so inactive.

Okay. This isn't real, if that's not obvious. I suck. But it's an RPG horror game I was thinking was a good idea. 

The part of mother's story lay on the table. How could he have these? Mother's story is made up, isn't it? There is no such thing as Nobody's god.

A Japanese girl in collage as a fictional literature student, decides to go to place in her mother's story, a small town by the cost, called Village of Kamigami. In the story, a religious group took over the town and forced the people to learn and believe and praise their Gods. Those who refused were put into the church of the God, not even the religious group believed in. Nobody's God. The religious group picked several families to carry on the religion. These families parted up, choice a family for each God. Seiya, a boy the girls age, is from the family that prays, lives, and preaches teachings of Nobody's God. No one knows what happened to the Religious group, or why the town keep the religion. The girl wanted to know why the Nobody's God had a crutch to it's self, but she had no idea she was going to find out, why it was so important, no one was to believe in Nobody's god.
