Part 6 (or part 5.5?) of editing Rune Factory children sprites to look more like my favorite bachelorette/bachelor! (I swear I didn't forget about this series, I just got distracted)

Today we have part two of Rune Factory 4, with my favorite bachelor. This time, we have Kiel!

These look fairly similar to the edits I made for Forte (gee, I wonder why), but I feel like they're unique enough. Luna gets to be the blonde this time around and Kiel's eye color is surprisingly different from Forte's. Also, my bias for the depression siblings is being made clear.

Kiel isn't exactly the most popular choice, and I do wish he looked older, but his story and personality absolutely win me over. Sunshine boys are too powerful for me every time. He's just such a sweet, wholesome little book nerd guy ("wholesome" *side eyes the trauma that is his marriage event*). Anyway, fun character, heartbreaking marriage event, 10/10.

Arthur

Even though he doesn't like to take breaks, he makes sure you get enough rest even if you do get sick often.

He's in between doing trades and taking care of you

Sure, he could ask for help - but chooses not to!

Ends up falling asleep in a chair at your bedside in case you need him.

Dylas

Don't let this man fool you. He cares a whole lot.

Swears under his breath sometimes when you try to do anything by yourself.

"(Y/n), you're being stupid. Just lay down."

He wants you to rest up as much as possible.

Doug

Often tries to make you laugh, but it doesn't work out.

Since he has been taking care of Blossom, he knows how to make a bomb-ass chicken noodle soup - or whatever soup you want!

Tells you about his village sometimes.

Plays with your hair if you want him to!

Kiel

Literally the sweetest!

He likes to bake you some get-well sweets or cookies.

He reads your stories and tells you all about what he's currently researching!

Forte helps him with the baking but is too shy to admit it.

Leon

Will let you stroke his ears or play with his hair if it helps calm you.

Will hold your hair back if you're puking.

Also carries hair ties in case you need your hair off of your neck.

Thinks you're cute, even if you're sick.

Vishnal

The poor guy literally has to ask Volkanon for help when it comes to anything.

He wants to be there for you and take care of you, but his cooking isn't too great.

If you have a fever, he'll fetch a cold rag.

He holds your hand and lets you rest your head in his lap.

He'll talk about anything if his voice soothes you enough to help you rest.

Forte is a one-to-one cut out of your standard, perfect knight.

She’s fiercely loyal and would be willing to drop kick anyone at a moment’s notice dare they try and cross her or the people she cares for.

She loves her job. She revolves her life around it.

Sure, ever since Kiel moved out it’s been a bit quiet.

But she has always liked the quiet.

Quiet meant peaceful.

Sure, she misses the noise around the house that would indicate someone was around.

But that doesn’t mean anything.

Forte? Dragon Knight, protector of Selphia? Lonely?

Impossible.

Leon thinks he has it made.

It’s a shift in what he once considered normal.

But that’s to be expected when tossed era to era like a child’s plaything, wasn’t it?

There’s that one loose end that’s always tugging at his mind.

Begging him to let it consume his waking thoughts.

What with how it still lingers around his brain in the early dawn and late dusk; perhaps it won’t be content with just his waking hours for much longer.

But that’s fine as well. He’s come to peace with it, he has, really. No need to get anyone worried.

He very clearly has it all under control by himself.

I felt like I should mention this here, now that I have a blog~

This is a passion project I made with the encouragement (*cough* a mildly threatening contract) of @nefarious-smartass (who also did the summary above) and decided to post. I'm not exactly sure if much of an audience exists for this, but here it is!

What went from a conversation about me reluctantly shipping Forte and Leon somehow turned into a retelling of Leon's marriage event but with a slow burn Forte x Leon twist (Also some side Frey x Kiel, because I love those two). It's a whole lot of Leon being smug and Forte wanting to stab him, all while Leon has a downward spiral. Forte also gets one of those "seriously, I fell in love with him of all people?" moments. So, if you're into that...
