As social a person as Fire pretended to be at times, he quite liked to be left alone. Sometimes he just wanted to hide away where few people would look and nobody would bother him. Sometimes he just wanted to claim a dark corner in whatever Pokémon Centre he was staying at for himself and doodle in his journal for a while, in peace.

Now he wasn't completely alone here, but that bothered him very little. The other person probably valued their privacy just as much as he did, so paid them no attention and just left them be.

Traveling to an unfamiliar mountain in an equally unfamiliar region because he heard rumors of a strange mushroom growing in the caves dug throughout it wasn’t the greatest idea he’d ever had, but at least he could tell people back home that he’d done it. He only wished that it wasn’t so cold. Huddled up with his Blaziken in front of a small cooking fire kept him plenty warm, but he could still feel the cold nipping at the tips of his ears and toes.
