funniest thing about the lelouch resurrection movie is that it continued the love triangle from the series except that for kallen shes stuck in an intense trial of self reflection on if she can really love lelouch or only zero how to differentiate the two if she can even forgive him for lying all this time and even accept that shes 'lost' compared to cc who was his trusted friend confidant silly rabbit meanwhile cc is like one beer away from trying to talk kallen into a threesome because now that lelouch isnt a vegetable anymore shes absolutely down bad. while all of this is happening suzaku is kicking the shit out of lelouch in what can only be described as a yaoi moment

It endlessly frustrates me that Kallen keeps the Guren key VISIBLY tucked between her boobs whilst she's working at the casino in R2 ep1. Like my girl that is the LEAST SECURE PLACE you could POSSIBLY keep it short of just leaving it on a table somewhere!! At least put it in ur bra or whatever 🙄

I love Code Geass to what is probably an embarrassing degree. The fashion! The slick way the mechas move (robots with Heelies! fuck yeah)! The stylishly overdramatic (and head-canonable as aroace spectrum) protagonist! The politics! The Zero outfit!
The amount of camera shots of tits n’ ass will never become any less annoying to me, but everything else more than makes up for it. If I saw a Zero cosplayer irl, I would respectfully not glomp...but oh, would I come close.

Ask game: Code Geass
Reverse Unpopular Opinion meme
Code Geass altered me irrevocably as a human being but not when I watched it. It GRIPPED me when I watched it because it has a lot of tropes I like and really aggressive pacing, but at the end I was like, "...Huh." And then I rewatched it and I was like "Huh..." And then every four or so years I would remember it existed and spend a bit going hey, actually, what the FUCK was that. Each time I had forgotten more about Code Geass which allowed the massive amount of EXTRA NOISE in this show to fall away until I was eventually face to face with the naked bones of the Lelouch-and-Suzaku Thing that led up to it ending like that, and I realized that this is actually one of the most metal and geometrically structured tragedy plotlines I've ever seen. Having gripped this clarity the rest of the Stuff was able to filter back in and I can now better appreciate the improbable circus of the CLAMP designs and the Pizza Hut partnership and the patchwork explosion of genres and the halfassed salvo at being a waifu property and the There Was An Attempt at saying something about ableism and the vaguely applied Arthuriana &c &c &c all built out from, again, one of the most balls to the wall hourglass plots I have ever seen. It's about wanting to die, it's about wanting to live, it's about loyalty, it's about how all these things are tainted under imperialism. Critical parts of it make absolutely no goddamn sense. I'm obsessed with it. I have never completed a third rewatch.

I didn't do any more Joongdok coded things bc I don't got any more shitpost ideas for it so have some half serious ones
*pulls out list*
Staring at the void and it staring back? Definitely Joongdok coded
Blowing a kiss to the cold void knowing you will not feel a kiss back? *nodding* Joongdok coded
"We will meet again, and you will be just as beautiful"? I'm pretty sure that might be a quote from my OC but it's still Joongdok coded
The belief soulmates will always find each other? That's right Joongdok coded
Loving someone until the very end even though the cold steel making you bleed is held by them? I was rewatching Code Geass but y'know what? Joongdok coded
Seeing his smile amongst the stars? Yup that's them
Sun and moon analogy where the only reason the moon shines bright and is considered beautiful is due to the sun's radiance and love in giving the moon light to be perceived? You know who I'm thinking of
And lastly the last Joongdok coded thing for today
Implying Omegaverse shit but never confirming who's the omega (spoiler alert: it's not who you think) I'm still not over it
the way all this has canon ground im screaming!!
yjh mentioning he always felt someone's gaze to lsk and even later on before he in his yearning lets us know his story came to an end when the lone reader went away?? augh
"...Kim Dokja?" "Constellation 'Demon King of Salvation' doesn't exist in the Star Stream" 😞
"Let's meet again, Yoo Joonghyuk" -> "He came. i was so happy i wanted to call out his name"
tmyf aside, being a side story reader is not easy fr... they will always find and lose each other good god
the entirety of chapter 188
*the glint in his (kdjs) eyes when he recalls the story he loves* *yjh mentioning biyoo's starfilled eyes remind him of kdj* anw
joongdok being each other's first reader and protagonist 🥺🥺 yjh, in his wife chasing arc, understanding what it means to survive by reading about someone
and indeed i do think demon kings can self lubricate ur so real anon👌🏻👌🏻

what fandoms were you in long before twisted wonderland? I mean like over 10 years ago.
Anon, thank you for this question because it made us sit down and actually look through the albums of my old art and write a list LOL We thought it’d take like 30 minutes tops + 10 minutes to write all of this down, but it took 2+ hours yikes… So sorry, no other replies today :(
And made us realise just how much we revisit certain fandoms 🤦‍♂️ I guess we’re loyal!
Some of them were just very brief phases when we watched/rewatched something, I drew like 5 sketches for this thing and we moved on after about a week. But it was still prominent enough for us to feel like “Oh right, Ryu was drawing (this) back then”. Damn, 2013-2016 were insane, we were jumping around so much… When did these people have time to watch and draw so much shit??
Since this blog is very old, you can find some of my very old shitty fanart for a lot of those here. In all honesty, I really want to draw fanart on some of the more obscure and old ones again… if you have questions about any of this, feel free to ask!

So you love noragami we all love it any reading recs of things like it? Or that you just like?
YES!!!!!
So I have to preface this by saying there's nothing quite like Noragami. And there is nothing wrong with rereading Noragami over and over. But I still have a lot of recs that give Vibes or in general make me Feel Emotions, so here's a non-exhaustive list.
Anime/Manga:
Fruits Basket by Natsuki Takaya. I've been saying for years that Fruits Basket is Noragami if it was a shoujo. It deals with the same cycles of abuse and an outsider who tries to break them with pure compassion that Noragami does, although it's much more of a drama than a fantasy. Just watch it and think of Yato as the Zodiac cat. I rest my case.
Fullmetal Alchemist (Fullmetal Alchemist) by Hiromu Arakawa. Chances are you've read or seen this already but it's objectively a masterpiece by any standard you care to use. Whether you like shounen fights, deeply emotional interpersonal relationships, political dramas about war and revolution, fantasy based on Greek myth, or anything else, FMA balances them all perfectly (another thing it has in common with Noragami). I love it so much.
Code Geass. This may seem like a wildcard pick but I rewatched Code Geass a few years ago and realized there are a lot of shared elements (like, Suzaku and Kazuma are the same guy). I may be delusional but it's hands down one of the most insane anime I've ever seen, in a good way. Like how FMA and Noragami balance a bunch of genres, Code Geass is a mecha action anime, a school slice of life, a political drama, and a Shakespearean tragedy all at the same time.
Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Again this may be one you're familiar with, but after I caught up on Part 1 of the manga I was so deeply wounded I had to start thinking about Noragami again (which is a worse idea). Chainsaw Man is much more of a Shounen™ than Noragami is, and I still maintain that the saddest parts of Chainsaw Man are like happier Noragami chapters, but it's a very good story and one that also has a lonely, cast-out protagonist who craves human affection but has no idea how to get it (and when he does, it's ripped away from him).
Durarara by Ryohgo Narita. In the anime adaptation, pretty much the entire voice cast is shared between it and Noragami (in the Japanese dub). It is a very weird story about a lot of weird people who are competing to be The Most Normal Person In Ikebukuro, a task which they all fail at spectacularly. It doesn't have much in common with Noragami aside from the voice cast but I love it so I recommend giving it a watch (or reading the light novels if you're feeling adventurous).
Link Click. This is a donghua (Chinese anime) about time travel and it steadily drives me more insane the longer I think about it. The three main characters have such lovely relationships with each other and the emotions go OUCH every time. It's a little harder to pinpoint the connection with Noragami here, but it is a story about the things people will do for love. The writing is crazy good especially considering it's not based on a novel or comic; I haven't seen an anime-original with writing this good since Code Geass.
Not a specific anime but the other week I thought about, what if Yuki Kajiura had been the composer for Noragami? Her style suits its aesthetic so well so now whenever I watch something she wrote for, I yearn.
Books:
The Locked Tomb by Tamsyn Muir. If you've looked at my blog at all in the last 2 years you'll know I am very sane over this book series. I actually made a Venn diagram comparing it to Noragami a while back, but the gist of it is that they deal with a lot of similar themes such as love, death, and the curse of immortality. It also has soooo many messy and complicated relationships and twists that leave your jaw on the floor. You can also use the worldbuilding to put your blorbos into and it's very fun for giving yourself Thoughts. For example I've done it both ways by putting the Noragami characters into the TLT universe and the TLT characters into the Noragami universe. Both are very painful.
Tumblr media
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint by Sing-shong. I'm not done reading this yet (about 2/3 through), but the further I get the more I realize it's about all kinds of love, the same way Noragami is. The narrator forms a "party" of people in the apocalypse, and they go through life-or-death scenarios together, and the way they grow to love and care for each other is so natural and feels so earned whenever it pays off. If you want romantic relationships, queerplatonic relationships, parent/child relationships, or any other type of relationship, ORV has it. There is also a webtoon adaptation but I'm reading the novel because it's completed; the webtoon will take many more years to get there.
Miscellaneous:
The Adventure Zone: Balance. This is a DND real-play podcast and it doesn't really have anything in common with Noragami but, like Noragami, it made me feel every possible human emotion, so I recommend it. It has a slow start but it grows into something so beautiful and creative and by the end of it I was sobbing in my car. Listen to it if you can, or at least listen to the music (it gets music later on and all of it is soooo good).
Okami. This is a video game heavily inspired by Legend of Zelda and much like Noragami it's a retelling of Japanese mythology, so the storyline will def have some familiar elements. I recommend playing it for yourself (it's available on Steam for PC and pretty much every other platform you can name), but a playthrough would be good too. It's nearly 20 years old and has withstood the test of time because the creators decided to make it look like a classic Japanese painting come to life, and the gameplay involves drawing, so it's very artsy and fun (although the controls are really weird).
Thanks for the ask! Hopefully you found something new, and I'll be sure to share if I find anything new to add to this list because I am always on the prowl for Noragami-adjacent things ❤

Can we please pretend that Lelouch is sneezing / about to sneeze in these images?
I’m rewatching (for the fifth? Sixth?) time Code Geass, and I can’t help but fall in love with Lelouch over and over again. Let’s ignore the movies and that horrible ending they imposed and stick with the series. Isn’t it true that a sick episode at Ashford Academy would have fit perfectly into the series?
I think Lelouch would be the type to hide his illness until it left him completely drained. And the ZERO MASK! 😳 Tell me you can’t imagine Lelouch trying to stifle his sneezes until they were almost silent behind the mask, but still splashing a little, so that his Black Knights wouldn’t notice his weakness.
I imagine that due to his aristocratic manners, he would sneeze with a certain elegance and stifled, more out of habit than anything else. Additionally, his father has always condemned weakness vehemently, so I imagine that’s where Lelouch’s reluctance to show any sign of weakness comes from.
I picture him stiflinghis sneezes elegantly in the crook of his elbow, with a handkerchief if he had one, or in the back of his hand, always turning away or stepping aside from his interlocutor. And he would ALWAYS apologize after sneezing.
Also, we all know his immune system is terribly bad. I mean, he barely sleeps (only rested in class) and his physical condition isn’t great (he prefers to cultivate his mind, haha), and his stress level is through the roof. So, I imagine he catches colds from time to time that hit him hard and leave him completely exhausted.
I can also picture him having prolonged sneezing fits, starting with stifled “hngxt!... hnnngxt!!” sneezes contained between his thumb and index finger, progressing to “Hh-hhnggk’CHH!!... hh’NNGXT!!” more forceful sneezes, in handkerchiefs (which he blows his nose in unproductively to avoid noise) or on the back of his hand, leaving him breathless; and ending with soft "HtPSCH!... Hh'NGSHchu!" sneezes that escape his control.
And if someone (I imagine Kallen or Suzaku) told him how bad it is to stifled his sneezes, he will responded with a tired "Sorry, it’s a habit… that it's hard to get rid of.”
I could go on all day like this, but that’s enough for today. :)

Rewatching code geass and crazy how underrated cc and lelouch are
Like
The show starts with
A fateful encounter. Suddenly cc has found (someone) who she has been searching for, and he is granted the power he needs to pursue his deepest desire. it's like putting life on fast forward, skipping through days and days of hell/nothingness to the place where you want to be.
They keep talking about being accomplices. Now I like kallen and I adore Shirley, but many a people have argued that cc and lelouch were "just acquaintances" compared to the friendships with the others. Wrong. Other people, are not a part of their world. They are alone, they are each other's accomplices. They share a contract, they are promised.
Yes, lelouch seeks out kallen physically in a moment of weakness but it's cause she's present and c.c. isn't. When c.c. is, she vows that she will at the very least, stay with him to the end. Even if they don't achieve both of their goals, she will do what she can to protect him.
The whole, "I'm a witch. I don't know if I was ever human." And lelouch in his, "if you're a witch, then I'll be your warlock." Again, promising that they are accomplices. That even if they lose, even if they are persecuted, he will not leave her alone.
The whole resurrection movie, where original cc travels through the multiverse. If you're an odazai fan, then yeah it screams beast coded to me too.
C.c.' vulnerability gets to me. Her backstory about her geass being able to make people love her. How she realizes none of it is genuine, how she came to realize that the one person who she thought genuinely loved her was the nun who gave her geass - only to learn she was just being used. And of course c.c. goes on to make contracts with many people including mao. It ends up horribly where he believes her to be his lover. Still, despite all of these horribleness, she manages to feel something for lelouch. (Kallen and her confronting each other about their respective feelings)
The sexual tension. When he refers to her as a selfish woman, when she irritates him by pointing out he's a sore loser (falling for Cornelia's trap). Just knowing each other that well. They're more terms of endearment than insults.
They belong together, your honor.

Do you know where the surname "Haliburton" came from in relation to Rolo? I've seen it mentioned several times but have never found a source within the main story of Code Geass that ever listed Rolo's surname as Haliburton.
Hi and thanks for asking this question, which I was not able to answer right away. It is stated in more or less identical words in many Geass wikis that Rolo Haliburton is an alias that Rolo likes to use, but no proper source is given. My Guess was that this is somewhere in Turn 4, where Rolo tells his story, and I was correct. During that scene, a few case files are shown on a display, and one of them looks like this:
Tumblr media
As an aside, being able to watch this in HD is a real blessing. So apparently Rolo assassinated an important businessman and checked in at his hotel as Rolo Haliburton. A bit sloppy for a secret agent, if you ask me, but maybe inventing names for himself is not his forte.
It is not stated, however, that Haliburton is his preferred alias, but Rolo is, according to the OSI file that Lelouch has retrieved:
Tumblr media
So maybe the wikis just combined these two pieces of information. It is also possible that more information is provided in the light novels or some official guide or fanbook, but I wouldn't know about that. So my plea to the readers, especially to @rolotouto would be: if you know more about this issue, please share your knowledge with us.
Again, thank you for posing this question because it made me rewatch Rolo's story, paying much more attention to the details than before. And there's so much information in there about Rolo's 'style', his typical victims, as well as the political systems of the various superpowers of their world. I guess this calls for another instalment of How Rolo Rolls.
Take care!

Lelouch is dead at the end of R2, and really, really dead // Canon
I know that with the AU revival and the Code theorist afficionados, a lot of people still try to pretend Lelouch's survival was up to interpretation, but that's not the truth of the original anime, and since this blog is dedicated to the canon anime, I thought it might be wise to write an article about that with canon quote; There are some great article which have been written on the internet, but in a lof of cases, some informations were missing, so I gathered everything, added what missed and added a Link at the end for a great Reddit post which will also debunk the Code theory.
**************************************
First off, you have to know that before the airing of the final episode, Taniguchi asked the viewers to rewatch the first episode of the anime.
While we didn't knew why, it was actually because of Lelouch's very iconic line : "Only those who are prepared to be killed should kill."
Tumblr media
'Continue' vol 42, (October 2008)
Ichiro Okouchi, "Lelouch dead!? Was it a good one or a bad one!?"
- Still, isn't it possible that defeating the wise ruler Schneizel, the person who was supposed to have brought order to the world, might lead to some [viewers] interpreting it as a Bad End?
Okouchi: That's true. There are probably a lot of people who think of it as a Bad End, a tragedy, considering the protagonist's, Lelouch's end as well. However, Lelouch says in the first episode: "Only those prepared to be shot are allowed to pull the trigger themselves." If you were to think of that as his pride, then I think his getting shot (killed) in the end was a logical end. Of course, I understand that not all of the viewers will accept this ending. There were people who wanted a happier ending, after all.
- Was there a dispute among the staff members regarding the ending?
Okouchi: No. It was decided fairly naturally. During the "Code Geass" script meetings, there are many cases in which there were a number of disputes, but there were barely any when it came to the scripts for (the previous series's) episode 25 and the final episode. I think everyone felt the same when it came to the end of the character that is Lelouch.
- Why were you so bold as to choose this ending when the viewers might see it as a Bad End?
Okouchi: Bold... yes, we were so bold as to chose this ending. Perhaps the show that is "Code Geass" ending up this way was decided the moment Director Taniguchi and I teamed up. I suppose you can call it our sense of aesthetics, or perhaps a part of our psychological makeup.
- I see. So Lelouch's decision was also your, Mr. Okouchi's, and Director Taniguchi's decision.
Okouchi: Which is why I think of both our and Lelouch's decision as Happy Ends. I believe that there will be better things in the tomorrow awaiting Nunnally, Kallen and the rest who have been left behind. And surely Lelouch, who was able to make this into a reality, can only be happy [about this].***
****(Once again, as Okouchi will confirm over and over in interviews and tweet you can find in this post, that Lelouch's death was Vlanned both by him and Taniguchi)
- Some unresolved mysteries still remain.
Okouchi: From the very beginning, [I/we] never planned on explaining everything. In fact, if you ask me, I think we might have overdone the explanations. While it's undeniable that Lelouch's story has ended with a full stop, the other characters' stories are still on-going, and it's not like the world [of Code Geass] itself has come to an end either. [I/we] didn't want to end it by closing it up for good."[1]
Animage 10 (Oct 2008), 11 (Nov 2008)
Tumblr media
- Animage: The ending's outcome turned out as such, but do you think Lelouch was happy?
Okouchi: I think that this (work) was not a bad end, but a good end. This already appeared in Lelouch and C.C.'s conversation in Stage 7 of S1, but people who are 'just' living their lives are uninteresting. Lelouch saved his beloved sister and made the kind world that he envisioned, a reality. His life was not in vain. That's why, Lelouch was smiling in the end."
Okouchi: (...) That end is to Lelouch and to Suzaku both the punishment and the salvation at the same time. It's also connected to the words Lelouch said at the beginning: "Utte ii no wa utareru kakugo no aru yatsu dake da." The person who gave the punishment was punished themselves and if you want to get the salvation, give the salvation first. Of course it's also the same with Lelouch's decision to accepts the geass (wish), because he geassed many people, as he himself has said in the show. [He refers to the last episode when Lelouch says what the people of the world wish for]
- Animage: So you accept the end of the show?
Fukuyama: I think that before he reached that final scene, Lelouch had many possibilities to choose from. But he understood very well what he had done and had to pay the price for that. Suzaku chooses to live as Zero and was awarded the opportunity to pay for his sins by this choice. And Lelouch got his salvation by choosing not the happiness of living on but to sacrifice his own life to create the situation for the world to move forward. If you think about his character, I don't think he would still be himself, if he chose other end.
************************
On the subject of Interviews I'll add some of Taniguchi's words about the matter, cause the guy never ever implied that Lelouch could be alive (even though he seems to have forgotten Internet never lose it's memory, given how to tried to justify Resurrection)
--Was the final episode something you thought of from the very beginning?
Taniguchi: Yes. The ending was decided upon beforehand. Although it was eventually cut, I actually had [Okouchi] write a script for episode 1, one which began with the scene of Suzaku attempting to kill Lelouch. I'm talking about episode 1 of the previous series, not R2.
"Of course, I understand that not all of the viewers will accept this ending. There were people who wanted a happier ending, after all."
While I think of this as a good ending, I want to let the viewers think for themselves****
*** The argument about viewers choosing for themselves was NEVER ABOUT LELOUCH'S FATE, it was always about if the ending was a good or a happy ending; I was surprises to see it used over and over again since the revival AU because after the and of the show, despite this line being firtly mistranslated, as soon as the right translation came out, it seemed to settle things for good. But wrong informations always spread like wildfyre in the end.
************************
On Nunnally's visions when touching Lelouch's hand that would be a proof he has a Code :
Tumblr media
Mook Animedia (28 January 2009, p.89-90)
Q: "How did Nunnally manage to realize Lelouch true intention, when she touched his hand at the end?" Staff member K: "The way Nunnally can tell that someone is lying, just like she was able to tell that Lohmeyer was lying to her, is that she can feel the hand of the person she is talking to is sweating or lightly trembling. It's nothing like Geass or some special ability like that." Staff member Y: "Yes. So, she simply came to conclusion [Lelouch was lying] by herself, because of this ability." Staff member K: "She is Marianne's daughter and Lelouch's little sister. Two months have passed since that defeat of Schneizel and for this two months she's been wondering constantly about what had happened, like "why it happened?" and so on. So when she touched Lelouch's hand at the end she felt that he is calm, she put the two and two together and realized the truth. Of course, we know that in anime, it's hard to explain things like that, but yeah, please accept it like this kind of "romantic"(*) idea" we had." [3]
(*) the word "roman" is used here. It means something one finds beautiful in general
My own Words : Basically she didn't saw the image that were flashed, those were only for us to understand that she understood, she just understood about his lie; no vision whatsoever (anyway those were really different from Code bearer vision so I never understood how such a far fatched argument could be used)
****************************************
C.C.'s Character profile :
Animage 10 (Oct 2008)
Floating text: "C.C. - Her wish was to die as a human, but after spending time with Lelouch, C.C. also wished for tomorrow. She made up her mind to ensure the tomorrow of the world that Lelouch had left."
C.C.'s profile on GeassNet
"..Knowing that Lelouch does not hate her for giving him the Geass, she is now able to show her true feelings. With the realization of "Zero Requiem", her time with Lelouch, who was able to forgive and accept her, came to an end, but the memories created with him has, without doubt, saved her from eternal loneliness."[1]
My own Words : If C.C. isn't with Lelouch, no cart driver theory is possible, this really leave no room to interpretation, her time with Lelouch came to an end, it's not her time with the demon emVeror, simply with Lelouch.

Ichiro Okouchi Geass memories on Twitter :
"Before I started writing the story of a person called Lelouch, I confirmed with Taniguchi-director something. That thing was that the end of Lelouch will be death."
"At least he is aware of his sins and pays for them with his death."
"This man called Lelouch will pay for his sins by his death. The story follows him till he finally make this decision."
"Probably this Lelouch we see in the first episode of the series wouldn't choose death. He would try something to avoid it. He couldn't die, for Nunnally as well. But we see him changed in the last episode."
Editor analysis: These tweets confirm that there was no disagreement between the creators when it came to the death of Lelouch (see Notes below). They also confirm that his death was decided on from the very start of the production process, even before the writing had started. And finally, these tweets are truly very explicit, the word "death" here can really not be interpreted as "death for a minute or so".

The Official Guide Book
The "Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 The Complete Official Guide Book Art book"[8] repeatedly states that Lelouch is dead:
"Lelouch, who gathered not just his sister's but the sins of all of his kin, tells Suzaku that he wants him to kill him. And, atoning for his sin of killing his father by becoming Zero and devoting himself to world peace. That is Suzaku's wish. Pierced by Suzaku's sword, Lelouch dies with a satisfied smile on his face. The curtains are lowered upon the history of one boy who performed the perfect 'evil' to the end." [9][10]
"For those two who bear the heavy sin known as killing their fathers, they share the belief that they can forgive each other by imposing the greatest punishments on themselves. Death for Lelouch who wishes for a tomorrow with his sister, life for Suzaku who wishes to atone for his sins through death. Suzaku, who accepts the weight of Zero's mask, gives his gratitude to Lelouch. For the fact that he can atone for his sins. For the results of fulfilling his own wish." [11]
"In the end, Nunnally isn't even allowed to bear her brother's sins. Until right before her brother dies, she seems to want to hate him for that. Upon realizing the truth behind her brother's actions, Nunnally clings to her brother's corpse and wails. And then, she succeeds her brother's will and starts walking together with Suzaku, who has become Zero, down the road as a ruler who creates peace. Because that alone is the one and only thing she can do for her brother." [12]
From the time line chart: "Emperor Lelouch, during the parade before executing the rebels in Japan, is attacked by Zero and perishes."
Turn 25: "However, Suzaku, masquerading as Zero who is thought to have died in the war before, appears and stabs Lelouch to death with a sword in front of the crowd." [13]

The New Epilogue (ZR Blu-ray)
The official blu-ray release contains the "Zero Requiem movie" which recaps R2. This ZR movie is the same as R2, but has a 50sec new epilogue. The old epilogue with C.C. on the hay cart scene is dropped and replaced by a new epilogue where C.C. narrates to the audience while beautiful art scrolls past in the background.
C.C.'s narration: "A young man dies. He had the power to change the world, to create a new order. The world feared him, hated him. But, I know he died with a smile on his face. Only those who have realized their dream will truly understand that feeling of utter contentment. So, this is not a tragedy. And whenever I feel sad or cry at night, I sing a song. A song of man's making. Zero Requiem!" [14]

Miraculous Birthday picture drama
And let's not forget about the Miraculous Birthday where Lelouch appears and spend a final day with everyone in Ashford through C's world, before disappearing at the very end, which would be quite complicated if the man was still alive.

You can watch it here .
And Finally a very interesting analysis and debunk of the Code theory done by a redditor; if you need more food for thoughts after all of this. You can click right there
Rest in peace, Lelouch.
