The original Powerpuff Girls series was one of my all time favorite shows as a kid! I was obsessed with it haha. I also had the movie on DVD and rewatched it so many times. My Dad also enjoyed the show and would watch it alongside me. His Mojo Jojo impression always made me laugh 🤣

It was so much fun finally drawing these girls after sooooooo many years. I think the last time I drew them was when I was like, ten or something. 😄

I felt inspired by the song Heartland by Richard Jacques from the Metropolis Street Racer OST while working on this piece. I was listening to a bunch of Drum & Bass / Jungle music tbh since D&B was a major part of the show’s soundtrack. Super sick 😎

this johanna and finnick set for thg week! i rarely ever try greens so this was a great exercise. plus shameless letterboxd review insert i had the time of my life making it (even though i think it's on the simpler side)

rhaenicent + august! my beloveds <3 i actually was so relieved finishing this—mainly bc i'd been working on it since last year but couldn't be satisfied with the coloring + typography (real ones remember it was in my new year's clean up last year). i'm so glad i waited for s2 to air though because it really made the lyrics more cohesive . freaks. (also i remembered seeing the lyric "change" on swiftietok and hated it so. bad . like so bad. but was like wait but so fitting for rhaenicent so. i caved! #noregrets)

rhaenicent + sad beautiful tragic. this was the first edit i made for that week in preparation and that last gif was what led to my idea for day one (paternity test). rhaenyra's the father bitch! also i'm proud of myself for making the first gif bc that's emily in lost girls ! and now she riding syrax instead of flying to neverland. love me brain <3

rhaenicent + fics ! fic writers the backbone of our society i love them sooooooo much i'll probably end up doing another one! i know some of the authors saw the set but i hope all of them know how hard i'm clutching their fics to my chest

this is truly the rhaenicent show (i have an addiction). anyway last one is this super simple rhaenicent edit! it's slightly au but placing alicent watching rhaenyra play with her children i'm sick to my stomach and i literally made it. thank you aish (@alicenthighstower) for dealing with me in those trying times

one of the most deplorable (endearing) edits i've seen this year is this jackieshauna set by miss becca it girl @nataliescatorccio herself. first of all anyone who knows me knows red + black + white is my favorite color combo so this was an immediate hit. this edit......took my breath away (also bc i was dry heaving from the #pain!)

this padme and sabe edit by char @cressidascowper........lorddddd don't even get me started i wanted to throw up! i love muted colors so much (i rarely ever attempt bc idk. it never looks right when i try) but char......your coloring on this i'm gonna scream! and the quote! i'm screaming. absolutely insane chef's kiss

this anakin skywalker set that erika @padme-amidala (come home the kids (me) miss you <33) made....this has been one of my favorite poems since like...high school. like at some point i had it as my lockscreen. i love this mf poem. and so when i saw anakin skywalker ??? to this poem ????? the scream i scrumpt. need her to come back and bless my eyes again...

itty bitty baby aish made this swanqueen edit, and it almost influenced me to rewatch ouat. the coloring is exquisite and the quote ....and the shots you chose.......lordddddd it sent me into a downward spiral i opened up swanqueen's page on ao3 just to feel something again

okay here are my thoughts on dw season 15 so far

robot revolution - enjoyable, writing is mostly passable, i like belinda as a character, and i think rtd needs to permanently give up writing social commentary before it gives me a fucking aneurysm. luckily he was only trying to bash me over the head with commentary for about 5 minutes in this episode so i can overlook that. i'm still sick of ncuti crying in every freaking episode. i like that belinda gets to actually be somewhat of an active participant in her first episode. the concept is 10/10 hilarious doctor who nonsense. execution is lacking. some of the dialogue is very unnatural. the pacing is mostly fine but those last 5-10 minutes are super rushed. but it was one of the only rtd2 episodes i could actually see myself rewatching on purpose for fun so that's not bad

lux - i kind of liked it and i also kind of hated it sooooooo much. the longer i think about it, the more i dislike it. belinda lost a lot of her character in this episode imo. it's like the entire thing is tailor made to make belinda and fifteen get along but belinda apologizes for something that literally wasn't even her fault and fifteen does 0 personal reflection or growth and doesn't apologize for being a fucking weirdo and asking her to travel with him right after his best friend on the planet died. also rtd needs to stop breaching race as a topic because it's bad literally every time. the doctor shutting up his poc companion's concerns about racism on her first trip is.... first of all it's a familiar sight (i'm so sorry martha you deserve so much better) and second of all it's just fucking ridiculous. (and frankly twelve would not have done this. twelve would have punched someone in the face.) mr ring a ding was fine at first but i started rolling my eyes when the giggle thing came up and it was revealed he was in the pantheon too. i think there's been a lot of really high stakes doctor who in this era and this should have been a lower stakes story. when there's a god character every few episodes, it just cheapens the impact. the resolution was stupid (what the fuck.... was going on..... lol.... did he turn into all light in the universe.... what is happening on this show....). and i'm ngl i hated the 4th wall break scene. it felt mean spirited and it was way too so that just happened! mcu humour. the blink joke was funny though. i also hated that rtd just decided to lampshade his poor writing at the end instead of.... writing a better episode?

(also. this is a nitpick but i'm nothing if not a pedant. mr ring a ding was not a harbinger. i don't know why rtd wrote that. a harbinger is someone or something that signals the approach of something ELSE. mr ring a ding is just the god of light. not a harbinger of the god of light. unless he's a harbinger of something else but he's doing a shit terrible job of that)

anyway. this season is 0.5 for 2 so far (much better than s1's 0 for 2 in the first 2 episodes) so... idk. we'll see. i'll keep watching. the setups are also kinda pissing me off because they're very obvious and i don't expect rtd to be able to pay off anything he has set up so far. but we'll see. maybe he got possessed by a writer who can actually do payoff when he was writing those bits.

5 more weeks and I am starting to loose my mind a little bit haha. I am in my rewatch of episode 3 and I do have to say that I adore this episode. Once again there will be book spoilers and spoilers for the rest of season 1 as well as maybe some theorizing so be warned.

IWTV S1 E3: Is My Very Nature That of the Devil

This episode starts with Louis and Lestat sitting at their bench in the park. ❤️

And it kind of acts as Louis trying to convince Lestat to only kill bad people. But in the book that is how Lestat actually kills so I wonder if this will come back when he finally tells his side of the story.

This episode definitely brings the comedy with Lestat quips and him just tackling that guy. 😂

I’ll tell you what Lestat can be such an asshole but just like the scene where he calls out the piano player at first he’s sour then he’s sweet. Yep Lestat is a sour patch kid.

I love how Daniel uses the recording from 1973 as that’s a callback to the first interview where Louis is just ragging on Lestat just like he did in the book.

The “Oddity of recollection” scene is great. I’m sure that is to come back in full force next season. I’m just excited thinking about what we are about to uncover.

When Louis realizes that Lestat didn’t kill Antoinette he looks so disappointed. Ugh I feel so bad for Louis here. 😩

And Lestat uncontrollably laughing when it’s the worst possible moment to do so is sooooooo Lestat it’s killing me…

But I just EAT UP the instant regret in Lestat’s eyes when Louis wants to fuck other people even he was the one who suggested it! He is just his own worst enemy all of the time.

When I first watch this episode I was so scared that Lestat was going to kill Jonah.

BUT WAS IT RAINING LOUIS!?

The look Louis gives Armand! “Your lingering Rashid” what sick game are they playing!!!!??? I’m going insane.

Lestat is doing the most this episode! But on second thought he always does the most lol.

“ I HEARD YOUR HEARTS DANCING!!!!!!!” It’s such an iconic scene!!!! “You watched the whole thing like some CREEPER!” The writing is everything

We have the iconic gif of Louis putting the “Colored Only, No Whites Allowed” that gif has gotten more people to watch the show than any promo amc has done.

I LOVE the scene where Louis kills that racist ass Alderman! Jake the dog gets his guts ripped out!” Some great quotes include. “Why’s your heart beating so fast?” And “ You said I’m arrogant!? Maybe I am arrogant! I’m a vampire” so goood!

It hurts just so much more after reading The Vampire Lestat when Louis tells him “It’s why you’re always gonna be alone.” 😭 Louis doesn’t know Lestat’s past yet but damn!
