Average unagi donburi (at least in the mid-Atlantic US where I live) is around $18-$25. If it was advertised as ✨premiere✨ and I was in the mind to spend, $28 is solid af. Average quality at that price is robbery though -someone who absolutely loves unagi
Oh sweet, thank you for answering this! Looked up unagi donburi and that looks really good, I'll have to see if there's anywhere close by with a good price for it. Thank you again! ^0^

Y'all I know it is the middle of the night, but I need to let y'all in on the biggest flex I have
There's this revolving sushi bar near me, and every time they do big prize giveaways, you have to spend like a minimum of 80 bucks or so to qualify before tax to get the prize
Glad to announce on three occasions I have eaten easily $80 worth of sushi each time. I am the proud owner of two T-shirts and a Snoopy cup.

22. baby, i know cw: heavy mentions of alcohol, teeny bit angsty, wc: 1.8k
you stood in front of the door, your fingers fumbling with the handle. “shit,” you muttered under your breath. you lean on the garage door, arms full of beer bottles and knocked. “hey shitheads?” no answer. you flick a switch, and the garage door opens, and as you walk towards the garage door, the door closes. you look back to see a costumed ghostface closing the garage door.
“...is that you randy?” the masked man shakes his head. no.
“what movie is this from? i spit on your garage?” you scoff in return. “lose the costume; if sidney sees it, she’ll flip.” you walk towards the costume. he’s shaking his head again.
“oh, you wanna play psycho killer?” you said, tilting your head slightly, your tone dripping with sarcasm. “can i be the helpless victim?”
he masked figure nods. you cocked her head to the side, looking him up and down. “oh no, please don’t kill me mr. ghostface, i wanna be in the sequel!” you said, scoffing, then pushing him to the side. however, instead, the masked face grabbed your arm and pulled out a knife. a few bottles in your arm dropped and shattered as he dragged the prop against your arm, fake blood coming out of the tube. “ah!”
immediately, you ran towards the fridge, slamming the top freezer in his face. he fell to the ground as you ran past him, grabbed the unshattered bottles and threw them at him once he started getting up. “fucker!”
desperately wanting to escape, you spotted the doggy door. you quickly ran towards it, trying your best to shove your body through… unfortunately, your shoulders had made you stuck. seeing his golden opportunity, the killer flicks the switch, which opens the door… you are lifted into the air as you look up…
“CUT!” utahime’s voice booms, the entire set erupts into applause. “that was perfect, y/n and toji!” this was the last day of your filming on set. after the hard weeks of consistent filming and visiting the building, you had finished your part. you felt a lump form in your throat as you watched the cast and crew celebrate. this was the culmination of weeks of hard work, late nights, and dedication.
toji walkers over to you. “we did it. we made the iconic scene.”
you laughed softly, nodding. “we sure did.”
after being on set with toji for a few weeks, he had gotten used to your presence, however, just because you’d been with him for a few weeks does not mean he’s fond of you now… “now you can finally scram. honestly, singing might be something you’d want to stick you.” he said with a smirk on his face.
you could tell he was trying to get on your nerves. “awh, thank you so much mr. fushiguro! i appreciate your support in my music career!” you shot him an insincere smile, tone all cheery.
“nah, i’d never listen to–” “SWEETS! you were amazing!” before toji could continue, gojo ran towards you and spun you around. “seriously, baby, i’ve been watching all the behind-the-scenes clips, and you nailed every scene. i’m so proud of you.”
“thank you so much, gojo!” you giggled. you aren’t exaggerating when you say you saw literal stars in his eyes.
“so, dinner? at kura revolving sushi bar?” he asked, setting you down on the ground.
“yeah, of course— sorry, off topic, but do you know if kento is in the building today? i’ve been wanting to talk to him…” it had been approximately three days since you last had an actual conversation with him. could he be avoiding you?
“ah, i don’t think so, sweets. from what i remember, he has a shooting to do for tomorrow in osaka! i think he should be on a plane by now.” right. of course. kento nanami is a busy man, this shouldn’t be surprising. however, you couldn’t help but to feel a little disappointed… by what? not getting to talk to him? you could always text him. him leaving without informing you? it’s not like you two were together; he isn’t obligated to tell you anything— so what exactly were you disappointed about? did you want to be with him? is that why you’re disappointed? before you could start spiralling even more than you already are, gojo picked up the change in your mood.
“hey, if you want, i could pass along a message for you…? or you could even call him! i’m sure he’d be happy to receive a call from you!” he gently said, running his hands through your hair.
“really? you’d think so?” you asked, eyes watery, tears threatening to spill out.
“i know so. now c’mon! we don’t wanna be late to our reservation, now do we?”
‘fuck. what in the world am i doing.’ was the only thought that ran through his head the whole car ride there. supporting you and nanami’s… relationship? whatever you two had going on. his hands gripped the steering wheel harder. he couldn’t help but to feel a jealous— bitter even. he was jealous of nanami’s relationship with you. he was bitter at himself. what did he lack? why was he even helping him?
“we’re here!” his voice came out cheery, a total contrast to his previous thoughts while driving. you two walked in, while gojo talked to the waitress you couldn’t help but notice the sudden shift in his mood. in the car it was completely quiet, but now he’s all sunshine and smiles. he’s the world’s favourite actor (other than toji, of course) after all.
“‘order anything ya want, sweets! it’s all on me.” he grinned, taking his seat as you settled in the booth across from him.
“do you drink, gojo?” you asked, looking at the menu.
“nahh, i don’t, sweets. i’m a light weight haha.”
“oh, alright! then i won’t either!”
“nono, drink if you want to! i don’t mind you drinking, besides i’ll be driving you home!”
It wasn’t long before you two were laughing and nibbling on different types of sushi— salmon, tuna, avocado rolls, and takoyaki. but the drinks? that was beginning to hit you. you started with one shot, but it had been so smooth that you’d convinced yourself to have another. and then another.
gojo watched you carefully, noting the rosy flush on your cheeks and the slightly glassy look in your eyes. you were starting to slur your words, though gojo didn’t want to say anything just yet. you two were having a great time, and the vibe was perfect.
"y/n," he said gently, "maybe we should slow down on the drinks?"
you waved him off. "i’m fine, i’m fine! just one more… okay, two more..."
he let out a small chuckle at your drunken state. “i can now see why you’re such good friends with shoko!”
a few minutes later, you leaned back in your seat with a contented sigh, then suddenly lurched forward, your hand grabbing the edge of the conveyor belt as if to steady yourself. "i think i’m a little drunk," you admitted, your voice wobbling.
gojo couldn't help but laugh. "you think? you’ve had like, seven shots."
you giggled, your head tilting to one side as you tried to look serious. "i don’t know what’s in that drink, but it’s like magic. i feel amazing. i could totally sing karaoke right now."
the mention of singing made gojo laugh harder. "let’s just focus on not falling off the stool for now, alright, sweets?"
you blinked at him, then suddenly grinned. "you’re so funny, gojo. i think i love you."
his heart started to throb. he chuckled and reached for his glass of water. "yeah, well, i’m pretty lovable when i’m sober… let’s go home now, alright, sweets? don’t want you passing out on the conveyor belt."
“you’re so nice, gojo.”
“you know, you’ve been calling me gojo for a while. satoru is fine, sweets.” gojo chuckled, helping you out the booth and walking you to his car.
“satoru… satoru… sa…toru… toru. how about toru. since y’know, you’ve been calling me these cute names, i should too!” you beamed, as he opened the passenger seat door for you.
“sure thing, sweets.”
the car ride to his place was quiet, you were slowly dozing off while he drove. you stared at gojo for a beat too long, his eyes soft and focused on road. "toru…" you began, your words dragging, "you know, i’ve always thought... you’re really pretty."
his heart skipped a beat, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. he thought you were just being intoxicated. "you’re not so bad yourself," he teased, nudging you lightly. “we’ve just pulled into the parking lot. i’ll call shoko or utahime to come pick you up in a few?”
you didn’t laugh. instead, you moved closer, your face hovering inches from his, your breath warm and scented with alcohol. gojo’s heart started to race; unsure if this was the alcohol talking or something more. fuck. he wished it was.
“y/n, what are you—”
before he could finish his sentence, you closed the gap between. the kiss was sudden and clumsy, but it was there— his lips pressing against yours with an intensity he wasn’t prepared for. the kiss deepened, you tasted like the alcohol you’ve been drinking earlier. gojo hates alcohol, but fuck, your taste was so addicting. he didn’t care. your hand moved to his chest, your fingers pressing into him as you leaned more into the kiss.
the kiss grew more urgent, gojo pulled away slightly, his breath shaky. “sweets, wait... you’re drunk. this isn’t—”
“i want this,” you whispered, your voice soft but insistent. your eyes searched his, a mixture of vulnerability and something deeper that made his chest tighten.
for a second, he hesitated, unsure. but there, in your gaze, was something real. something he couldn’t ignore… but he also knew this wasn’t something to rush. not like this. not when the line between friendship and something else felt too blurry.
with a sigh, he pulled back, his thumb gently brushing your cheek. “we can’t, not like this,” he said softly.
your eyes flickered with confusion, and for a moment, he could see the haze from the alcohol fading just a bit, replaced by something more knowing, more aware.
“i… i didn’t mean to mess things up,” you whispered, your voice small.
“you didn’t,” he said gently, placing a small peck on your forehead. “we’re just... better off waiting for a clearer moment.”
you nodded slowly, your eyes heavy with sleep now, the alcohol slowly overtaking you again. you leaned back into him, your eyelids fluttering as you tried to keep yourself awake.
he held you there, his heart racing, his mind spinning. gojo didn’t know what had just happened, but one thing was certain— he couldn’t possibly face your sober state after this— even if this kiss wasn’t genuine. even if this kiss only happened because you missed nanami.

PART 5: PAINT YOUR DOUBTS
Tags: Fluff, Drama, Angst, Stolen Identity, did I mention drama already? Also Painter!
Words: 3k
Authors Note: It’s almost Thursday and I couldn't wait. If it's weirdly written or you see mistakes: This was edited on my phone and I am suffering. Please bear with me.
Allison could see the lovestruck gleam in Sebastian’s eyes, and she knew she had won. Leaning closer, she gently rested her forehead against his, her lips curling into a sweet smile as her fingers intertwined with his. “I love you,” she whispered softly, her voice dripping with sincerity. “I always have.”
Sebastian drank in her words, soaking up the affection he so desperately craved. Those three simple words were enough to seal his fate. He pressed his lips to hers once more, the kiss soft but full of unspoken promises—promises to never leave her side, to always be there. In his arms, he finally had his Jelly, and he knew he would never let go.
As Sebastian held her close, his heart pounding as if it had been waiting for this moment all along. In his arms, he believed he finally had everything he ever wanted. Allison—Jelly—was his, and there was nothing that could break this moment.
Their kiss deepened, Sebastian’s grip on her tightened, not out of force, but from a sense of security, like he was holding on to the one thing that could keep him grounded. He pulled back slightly, resting his forehead against hers once again, his breath heavy but steady.
"I never thought I'd have you like this," Sebastian murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "I waited so long... I was scared I’d lose you before I ever had the chance."
Allison smiled, a hint of triumph hidden behind her gentle gaze. “You’ll never lose me, Sebastian,” she reassured him, her fingers tracing lazy circles on the back of his hand. “I’m right here. And I’m not going anywhere.”
Inside, she felt a surge of victory—Sebastian was completely hers now. She had taken Jelly’s place, and he was none the wiser. Allison savored the way he looked at her with devotion, not realizing the depth of her manipulation. She had him right where she wanted him.
But as the two stood there, locked in the warmth of what felt like love to him and power to her, a tiny flicker of guilt brushed against Allison’s mind. She quickly pushed it away. This was for her, for her happiness. Being close to Solace, even if it meant betraying her friend, was worth it.
“I’m so glad you’re here,” Sebastian continued, his eyes soft as he gazed at her. "It feels right—finally."
Allison leaned in, pressing another kiss to his lips, silencing him for the moment. She didn’t need to hear his words of devotion; she had already won the game.
And as they stood together, the world outside of this moment seemed distant. For now, Sebastian’s world revolved around Allison—his supposed Jelly—and she would make sure it stayed that way.
“How about I pick you up for lunch tomorrow? We can finally test out the new sushi bar you wanted to try so badly.” He whispers against her lips, hoping she would agree to his planned lunch date. He remembered every single thing about her, the way you excitedly rambled about sushi once. Sebastian had mentioned it to Allison again and of course she had to play along, telling him about a sushi bar that opened near their place.
The truth? Allison hated sushi. The smell, the texture, the taste—it all repulsed her. If she wanted the taste of raw fish, she'd rather go lick the ocean. But she couldn’t let that show, not now. Not when Sebastian was falling deeper into her trap. If she had to eat sushi to keep him hooked, she’d swallow every last bite with a smile.
She nodded, giggling like a schoolgirl. “Of course, I’d love to. Just the two of us,” she said sweetly, masking her distaste behind a charming facade.
Sebastian’s face lit up, his heart swelling at her response. “Just us,” he echoed, his voice full of affection. He kissed her forehead softly, pulling her closer in a warm embrace. “I can’t wait. I’ve been thinking about it for a while now.”
Allison smiled sweetly, but internally, she was already dreading tomorrow. The thought of raw fish made her stomach turn, but she couldn’t show any hint of discomfort. She had to play her part perfectly. If sushi was what it took to keep Sebastian wrapped around her finger, then she would endure it.
“Neither can I,” she said, her voice dripping with false excitement. She leaned into his chest, hiding the small grimace that flashed across her face for a brief moment. Allison could handle this. After all, she had gotten this far.
Sebastian stroked her hair, feeling content in her presence. To him, everything was falling into place. He had his Jelly, the one person he had been dreaming of for so long. Nothing could go wrong now.
As the night wore on and they eventually parted ways, Allison’s mind raced. She needed to make sure her disguise as Jelly was airtight. No slip-ups. She couldn’t afford to reveal her true identity now, not when Sebastian was already so smitten. She would suffer through sushi if that’s what it took. She had worked too hard to let it fall apart over something as trivial as food.
Tomorrow, she would smile and pretend to enjoy every bite. Tomorrow, she will play her role perfectly, just as she had from the start.
The next day arrived with the soft rumble of Sebastian's motorcycle pulling up in front of Allison's place. She stood at the entrance, wearing a carefully curated outfit that screamed casual, yet put-together. Her heart raced, but not out of excitement—more out of the looming dread of what she would have to do once they reached the sushi bar.
Sebastian flashed her a grin, his helmet already in hand as he handed her a second one. "Ready?" he asked, voice warm and full of affection.
Allison nodded with a smile, sliding on the helmet and hopping onto the back of his bike, wrapping her arms around his waist. The engine revved, and they sped off down the road, the cool breeze whipping past them as they navigated through the city.
The sushi bar was quaint, tucked into a quiet corner of the street. Sebastian parked the bike, helping Allison off before they entered the place together.
They were greeted with a soft glow from the restaurant's paper lanterns, the delicate smell of rice and fish wafting through the air. Allison tried to suppress her gag reflex as they were seated by the window. Sebastian looked relaxed, glancing over the menu with a small smile on his face, oblivious to her discomfort.
"I think I'll try the chef's special. What about you?" he asked, looking over at her expectantly.
Allison forced another smile. "That sounds great. I’ll have the same."
The waiter soon arrived, jotting down their orders and disappearing into the kitchen. Sebastian reached across the table, taking her hand in his. "I’m glad we’re doing this. Feels like it's been a long time coming."
Allison nodded, keeping her facade firmly in place. “Me too.”
But just as things seemed to be going smoothly for her, the door to the restaurant swung open, and her stomach dropped.
It was you.
You walked in, scanning the place casually before your gaze locked onto them. Sebastian noticed too, sitting up straighter, a grin forming on his face. He waved you over.
“Hey! Come join us!” Sebastian called out, his voice breaking through the serene ambiance of the restaurant. "Allison's here too, and you're her friend, right?"
You hesitated for a moment, unsure of what you were walking into. But with no real reason to refuse, you offered a polite smile and walked over to the table. A thousand questions flew through your head as you tried to come up with a reasonable idea why the two of them sat together. “Hey guys,” you greeted them, sitting down as the waiter brought you a menu.
It wasn’t until you sat that the tension became palpable. You looked at Sebastian, then Allison, back and forth, trying to piece together the dynamic between them. The two of them seemed strangely close, almost too close.
Sensing your confusion, Sebastian spoke up. “I meant to tell you… actually, I was going to soon. Allison and I are… we’re dating now.” He said it with pride, glancing at Allison with that same lovestruck expression you recognized all too well.
Your heart sank. A thousand thoughts flooded your mind, each one cutting a little deeper than the last, but you kept your expression neutral, unwilling to let anything show.
“Wow, that’s… that’s great,” you managed to say, forcing a smile that you hoped looked genuine. “I’m really happy for you both.”
Sebastian beamed, clearly oblivious to the sudden shift in your demeanor. Allison, meanwhile, met your gaze with a triumphant smirk barely hidden behind her own facade.
You swallowed hard, your appetite vanishing as the reality settled in. Sebastian had moved on, with Allison of all people. But you had to play along. “So, what’s good here?” you asked lightly, trying to keep the conversation going while your mind raced.
Sebastian eagerly dove into a conversation about the menu and what he planned to order, but you could hardly focus on his words. Your thoughts were too loud, too heavy. You felt like an outsider sitting at the table with them, despite their warm invitation.
Pretending to be happy for them both was the only option you had.
In the span of the next five days, Allison seemed to make your house her permanent residence. She was loud, obnoxious, and clung to Sebastian like bubblegum that just wouldn’t let go. Your motivation to stream was at an all-time low, work had drained you completely, and the heartbreak you were going through felt like the final blow. You’d posted a community update on your streaming account, apologizing for your short absence without getting into much detail. Thankfully, your fans were understanding and flooded the post with messages of support. At least the strangers on the internet still had your back.
It was Thursday evening, and you carried two boxes of Chinese takeout—your favorite. Every third Thursday of the month was Chinese Takeout Thursday, a tradition you and Sebastian had started. Either one of you would bring home food, and the two of you would settle in for an episode of How I Married a Wall Dweller, your favorite TV drama.
You kicked off your shoes and set the takeout on the counter, feeling a brief flicker of hope for a cozy evening. But as you moved through the apartment, a soft, melodic strumming drifted out from Sebastian’s room, followed by Allison’s unmistakable, girly laughter. Your heart sank.
Sebastian was playing guitar for her.
He’d never played guitar for you. He always claimed he wasn’t good enough, that he didn’t want you to hear him make mistakes. Yet here he was, strumming away like he had nothing to hide, serenading Allison while you stood there, boxes of takeout in hand, feeling like you didn’t belong in your own home.
You grabbed one box of takeout and tossed the other in the trash, not even caring. The excitement for your shared tradition had evaporated, leaving a dull ache in its place. With a heavy sigh, you retreated to your room, settling into bed and turning on your favorite TV drama. The room felt unusually cold that night, a chill that settled deep in your bones.
Allison, however, wasn’t resting easy. The more you withdrew from Sebastian, the more threatened she felt. She couldn’t stand the thought of you finding solace in streaming—one thing she couldn't control, especially since she knew how much Sebastian cared about your streaming career.
So she concocted another plan: get Jellycatfished banned.
It wasn’t difficult. You’d been careless enough to use the same password for everything, and Allison had no trouble logging in to your streaming account. It took her mere minutes to get you banned by triggering multiple violations. She knew Sebastian would be concerned and question what had happened, but she was ready with a perfect excuse:
The platform must have made a mistake. They banned you for no reason.
It was flawless. You’d be out of the streaming scene, and she’d make sure Sebastian stayed oblivious. No more streams, no more collaboration invites—just her and Sebastian.
Another win for Allison.
The moment the notification hit your inbox, your heart sank. Your account—Jellycatfished—banned. All the hours, all the work, gone in an instant. It felt like the final straw. You could handle work stress, you could even tolerate Allison’s constant presence, but this? This was your safe space, your escape, and now it is gone.
Without thinking, your first instinct was to message Solace. He deserved to know. You quickly typed a message, your hands trembling as you tried to explain the situation.
"Hey, I just got banned from the platform. I don’t know what happened... but I thought you should know."
What you didn’t realize was that Allison had already gotten to him. She’d mentioned it casually when he asked why you hadn’t been streaming, spinning her story about how the platform must have glitched and banned you for no reason.
Sebastian had seemed concerned, sure, but Allison’s explanation had been so confident, so convincing, that he hadn’t questioned it too much. So when your message came through, his response was quick but flat.
"Yeah, you mentioned that during our date earlier. That sucks, but I’m sure it’ll get sorted out."
You stared at his reply, your heart sinking even further. The words didn't make sense, not at all. Date? What date? The realization crashed over you, an emotional tidal wave that made your head spin. You flung your phone onto your bed, letting out a muffled scream into your pillow, your nails digging deep into the fabric as rage, betrayal, and frustration surged through you. Allison had done it. She had somehow stolen your account, your identity, and now, it seemed, she was trying to steal everything else too.
As the echoes of your scream faded into the stillness of your room, you pulled yourself up and grabbed your phone again. The silence around you was stifling, heavy with the weight of everything you’d just uncovered. You took a breath, your fingers trembling as they hovered over the keyboard.
"Solace, we are not dating."
The reply came quickly.
"What do you mean, we are not? We had so many dates already, Ally. You want me to actually officially ask you out? Let me prepare at least, cutie."
He didn’t get it. He didn’t catch the weight of your words at all.
You hesitated for a moment, then typed, "Solace, I am not Ally. It's me. Your roommate."* You added your name for clarity.
And then... silence. Nothing. No response. No footsteps coming toward your door. Nothing at all.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the hallway, Sebastian was staring at his screen in growing confusion. It’s you and not Allison? How? His thoughts raced, his heart pounding in his chest as he struggled to process. He quickly opened another chat, the one he’d been using with Allison for weeks, his fingers moving frantically across the keyboard.
"Babe, why is my roommate on your Discord?"
Miles away, Allison had just stepped out of the shower, towel wrapped around her as she glanced at her phone. Her face paled, her heart skipping a beat when she saw Sebastian’s message. You sneaky little worm... she thought, fury bubbling inside her. You were trying to expose her, daring to unravel the web she’d so carefully woven. But Allison wasn’t going to let that happen without a fight.
She quickly typed back, her fingers flying over the screen.
"Oh god. Seb, I didn’t want to tell you at first..."
“Your roommate is in love with you…they are actually stalking me now since I became your girlfriend and they are jealous. Seems like they even hacked my discord and pretended that they are me…What if they got my streaming account banned too?”
"I'm so sorry, Ally. I promise I'll get this sorted out. No matter what happens, you're my priority, and I support you."
Sebastian’s words echoed in his head, gnawing at him days later as the whole situation weighed heavily on his nerves. He hadn’t even had the chance to talk to you yet, having blocked your Discord account per Allison's suggestion. She'd convinced him it was safer that way until she could switch out her email and password.
Sitting in Painter’s little tech shop, Sebastian sipped on his cup of instant coffee, his mind swirling. "Man, you look horrible," Painter, his friend and confidant, remarked from across the counter. Painter’s small shop was filled with parts and gadgets, tech stuff scattered everywhere, but today it felt heavier with the weight of Sebastian’s troubles.
“It all makes sense now, Painter. The movie nights, Chinese takeout days, working together...Meeting them in the Sushi Bar even. God, I was so blind." He sighed, running a hand through his dark hair before pulling out his phone and sliding it over to his friend. Painter picked it up, scrolling through the chat history and screenshots Sebastian had saved before blocking you.
As he scrolled, Painter’s brow furrowed. Something wasn’t sitting right. His fingers moved faster across the screen, pulling up messages and logs, all while Sebastian sat there, completely spaced out. Painter and Sebastian had a close bond, and having his friend type on his phone wasn’t unusual. In fact, they often shared stuff like this.
"I'm sorry, man. This really sounds tough," Painter mumbled, his voice distant as he dug deeper into the details. Secretly, Painter unblocked your Discord, his technical expertise kicking into high gear. After a few moments, he managed to pull up something that made him pause: the IP address.
He cross-checked it with the logs and Sebastian's own information. It was the same IP. How could that be? Painter’s mind raced. If this account really belonged to Allison, there was no way it would have the same IP as Sebastian’s unless…
Painter’s heart sank as the realization hit. The only possibility was that the account was yours. You had been telling the truth all along.

yes maggie the lack of Jack and Ellie thoughts is abysmal and there needs to be more
SONIAAAAA this inspired me. here's a little overview of ellie & jack's sibling bond over the years!! i kinda wanna do this for quinn & luke now too
tags; made up hockey lore, a made up pwhl team, some trev x ellie moments, some jack x drea moments, worldbuilding and maybe improper characterization but bro idgaf it's my universe
part of the don't be a stranger au
౨ৎ before the twins were born... jack was adamant he wanted a little brother, telling everyone that girls have cooties. regardless, since the day she was born, jack has loved and protected ellie just as fiercely as he has luke.
౨ৎ when jack was seven... ellie sat in the back seat of their mom's car, sobbing into her teddy bear after jack lost his first ever youth hockey game. when ellen asked what was wrong ellie sobbed out, "i'm cryin' c-cause jacky's crying!"
౨ৎ at the age of eight... ellie started tagging along with jim and jack to baseball games. they both love the toronto blue jays, and while jack initially didn't want ellie tagging along, he grew to love the time spent with his sister.
౨ৎ jack and ellie shared baseball cards... they swapped their favorite players, fighting over jose bautista, pooling their allowances to buy as many packs as necessary before they got a duplicate
౨ৎ at fourteen and sixteen... ellen found the two one saturday night in the game room, collections open and spare cards organized neatly around them.
౨ৎ when ellie turned sixteen... she was nervous to drive for her permit hours. jack was the only one who calmed her anxiety enough to teach her. he took it extremely seriously, even using his own money to get her a treat wherever they drove.
౨ৎ when jack met drea... ellie immediately loved her too. this led to plenty of instances where ellie was their eager third wheel. sure, it was annoying at times, but seeing how well ellie and drea get along makes it worth it.
౨ৎ while ellie was at ucla... jack made excuses to call ellie, checking up on her like a mother hen. he also employed trevor to keep an eye on her, he'd text trevor for an update on ellie, then trev would text ellie, and ellie would call jack with a smile and an exasperated tone
౨ৎ when ellie was drafted to new york... while luke was in silent shock, jack jumped out of his seat with ellie, wrappinh her up in a bear hug.
౨ৎ when trev and ellie broke up... jack didn't say anything. he didn't pick a side. he just booked a table at her favorite revolving sushi bar, and encouraged her to wear sweats with her blouse.
౨ৎ when jack was named an alt. captain... ellie didn't make a big deal of it, just baked his favorite cake and decorated it with the devils logo and "congrats, jack!" in messy piping
౨ৎ when ellie was chosen as captain... for the inaugural vancouver tide pwhl season, jack couldn't help the tears that fell. half of it was pride for his baby sister, but the other half came with a dull ache, realizing they'd likely never live under the same roof again.
౨ৎ and when jack and drea have a daughter... they give her the middle name elle.

Oooh Twst OC time.
I had this RSA guy cooking in my mind for a week or two. So here's my take on a TWST Arielle.
Name: Anderson Riverbay
Age: 17
Height: 174cm (on land), 189cm (in the ocean)
Homeland: The coral sea (obviously)
Species: Merman (again: of course!)
Hobbies: Surfing, Rollerskating
Best subject: foreign Languages
Pet peeves: littering
Talent: Singing
Trivia:
-Anderson is a merman who had the desire to start a life above ground after seeing people do various activities by the beach (Volley ball, surfing etc.)
-Just like Azul, he is a dorm leader, since he embodies the sea princesses passion (and yearning)
-He is incredibly confident in himself and dives headfirst into learning something new without any hindrance.
-He is Azuls old classmate. He was well beloved and did not notice how Azul was excluded. He always viewed Azul as very timid and figured that's why he was so distant. Sometimes he would ask Azul questions regarding his species (since this was the first time Anderson ever came in contact with an octopus merman), which Azul did not take kindly to.
-He heard about how successful Azul has become and is very proud that he came out of his shell.
-After managing to get a hang of walking land, he started multiple hobbies mostly revolving around leg coordination. Surfing is his absolute favourite. (Other hobbies to list: Roller skating, Inliner skating, Skateboarding etc.)
-After mastering his footwork he started a boot camp for Mermen on land. This is where he met Azul again. IMPORTANT EDIT: so I finally proceeded with the main story and to make a long story short, this doesn't work, so I hereby present my new approach: He is NOT the founder of the Boot camp (since it literally operated for ages), instead it was founded by one of his late relatives and he is one of the many many volunteers.
-Azul keeps trying to screw him over by selling 'junk', but Anderson somehow always ends up turning it into a profit.
-He is very kind and well beloved, but he tends to be ignorant of conflicts. He acts mostly out of self interest and doesn't stay on a singular path. Instead he goes whichever way he currently desires. He is free spirited and curious.
-He collects junk and sea shells in the ocean and by the beach. He has a collection of his most interesting finds on his bookshelf. He also turns some of the stuff he finds into jewelry and sells them. The money he gets is used to fund his MANY hobbies or goes towards beach cleanups.
-RSA does not have the equivalent of a Mostro lounge, but they do have a 20s themed restaurant called 'T&N's diner'. It employs a lot of students and has a beach bar themed section ('the fish fin'), which is responsible for all sorts of fun (non alcoholic) drinks. Anderson is in charge of it together with his dorm mates and they serve beverages on roller skates. In the evenings he sings in the main restaurant to entertain the guests.
-since being human is not his natural form, he sometimes has trouble to speak (especially since he uses his voice a lot more than other mermen on land) and uses sign language to communicate. He also does this as a measure of protection; he will refrain from speaking throughout the day to be able to perform at night.
-Sometimes, Azul eats sushi Infront of him, which makes him a little uncomfortable. He does not realise that Azul does this out of spite.
Anyways, doodle page!!!
And here are my first concept sketches of the guy:

A gift to remember
[ OC MASTERLIST ]
Shipping: Vin Jin (Lookism) x Otsuyu Murasaki (OC)
Genre: hurt/comfort; big on fluff; Lookism x OC
CW: some suggestive comments, mentions about deceased Parent
Words: 1799
Timeline Placement: Set somewhere inbetween 482 (Cheongliang) - 530 (Busan Arc)
A/N: And that concludes my three part fic on how Vin Jin caught feelings for Otsuyu :'3c honestly, I had lots of fun writing that, because it's been stuck in my head for such a long time ;3c I even told @notpoisonousivy the whole plot beforehand hahah~ but it also helped me to get a good grip on the emotions, so big thanks for letting me yap a lot about them :'D
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
Sweaty palms clutched the gift bag nervously, as she waited for her boyfriend to pick her up. The lively atmosphere of the lounge did little to dim her nervosity, but listening to the different subjects that were discussed made waiting a little more bearable at the very least.
Currently Grimm was the translator of a conversation between Kurage and Mi-Yeon – or well, mistranslator would fit the situation better. While Mi-Yeon talked about building a gadget that would enhance the water quality of the Sushi bars fish tanks, with less maintenance, Grimm translated that she wanted a bowl Chirashi Sushi with every fish-kind of every tank… Which was exactly what Kurage worked on for her.
On the other side there were the three oldies, that were always hanging around in the lounge. They recently heard of some advertising, something like Poundmates? You just have to make a quick phone call, and the woman of their choice will come to them for a steamy session… Sounds a lot like scam, if she’s being honest.
Akemi was currently on the phone, but talked so quiet, that Otsuyu couldn’t make out the context. Then again, she might not want to know. Her cousin carried many secrets, most of them not even her own, it would be bad if they spilled, and Otsuyu doesn’t want to be held accountable for that.
In hopes to shut out whatever Akemi was talking about, she let her eyes wander the interior and they stopped at the empty seats that were often occupied by her friends Sameko and Gintoki… It’s been a while since they returned to Japan… She heard they plan to come back to Seoul soon, something about helping ‘a friend’, but she didn’t know the specifics.
“Surely their minds will be blown if they find out Vin and I started dating… Kinda hard to believe they’ve been away for months now, so much has happened in that time…”, she silently mused.
A thud from the entrance caught her attention and she realised that her boyfriend arrived… Well, not quite arrived. He kinda walked into the revolving door… Again.
It prompted her to stand up nonetheless, and she had to withhold a laughter when his grumpy face came closer and he complained: “You really need to get a different door, Manager, this one sucks ass.”
He then bent down to peck her lips. A satisfied hum escaped Otsuyu, and she smiled when he stood straight again.
“I’m working on it, for my ever-blind favourite guy.”, She half-joked and received a cocky grin - for calling him her favourite. In truth, she’s been wanting to enhance their Japanese traditional image anyways by changing Vin Jins nemesis of a revolving door into an artistic gate, maybe with some Fu Dog statues guarding the entrance?
“What’chu got there?” Vin suddenly asked and his hand darted to the bag, which she quickly drew away from him, answering: “A surprise. But it’s for your eyes, only.”
Now his grin became somewhat dirty, and his brows rose in expectation. He leaned in and whispered, “So, we can finally-”
“AHEM!!”, a loud cough interrupted him and when he looked up, he noticed her guardian Kurage send him an intimidating stare. Next to him the whitehaired pretty boy called: “FOLLOW THE THREE FOOT RULE, YA NASTY!”
Her boyfriend lifted his hands in mock defence, but his grin showed no remorse, his head even tilted in a way that made her think he just winked at her.
In the background, Akemi was already walking up to her husband – the phone call obviously ended - grabbed him by the sleeve to pull him down and whispered something into his ear.
Otsuyu took this as the perfect opportunity to take Vins hand and slip out of his view, towards the staff elevator. He was chuckling when they were inside of it and she felt his hand hold her closer to him, softly stroking up and down her side – his thumb softly caressed her scarred back through the cloth, which gave her goosebumps.
“Vin, babe, I need you to be patient.”, she complained as she typed in the code to get onto her floor. He hummed amusedly in response and answered: “Ohh~ I am patient, dunno if you can be patient yourself and resist me after today though kekeke~”
His girlfriend huffed and rolled her eyes, but as soon as the elevator started moving, she rested her head onto his chest. She wanted to relish his good mood as long as it lasted, since she was nervous on how he will react to her gift… In worst case, he might even end their relationship.
Vin Jin hummed a melody, probably for a new track or even something from Duke? He was always up do date when it came to Duke latest releases, although he’d never admit it. The melody did help to ease her anxiety though, so she just listened to his hums until they arrived at the top.
As the elevator came to a stand, her grip on the straps tightened and she took a deep breath before she led Vin into her own domain.
He was as nonchalant as ever, kicking of his shoes and getting comfortable on a cushion.
“Sooo~”, he started expectantly and eyed the bag she was holding as she followed him.
“Sooo…” Otsuyu repeated, her tone nervous in contrast and she took a deep breath.
His palms were open, ready to receive the item and she steeled herself for every possible outcome of this situation. Of course, she wasn’t in danger, but she might’ve overstepped a boundary…
She bit on her lip as he made grabby hands and then she finally handed the bag over.
With the enthusiasm of a child, he looked into the bag and saw a wrapped box inside of it. As he turned it over several times and tried to feel out what it was, Otsuyu sat down in front of him. Her hands found something new to claw in, the hem of her skirt.
“So… Nothing soft… No lingerie then, huh?”, he teased and Otsuyu laughed nervously.
“Why don’t you just… Open it?”, she offered. She felt like she had to puke, with the whole situation building up… And her boyfriend was none the wiser.
“Now you’re being impatient, babe~” he mocked, and she felt like there was another wink behind the sunglasses, but at least he followed up by removing the ribbon.
Vin was deliberately unpacking the gift slowly, just to annoy her. Usually, he’d just rip it open and reveal what’s inside but today he had all the wrong ideas. Her heart was racing in her chest at the aspect of him getting upset… Especially after his spirits are so high right now…
It didn’t take long until he revealed the hard wooden edge of a black frame. She saw how one brow rose, and his lips drew to an inquisitive pout. In that moment, his patience ran out and he tore the wrapping off.
Otsuyus heart jumped, and she held her breath, while he inspected what he saw. A frown appeared on his face as he drew the gift closer to his face. Not a second later, an annoyed grunt left him, and he took off his glasses. Again, his eyes landed on the gift and this time, he sat up straight when he could see it clear.
Silence settled in between them. His girlfriend has never seen him speechless. Even in the toughest situations, he was always ready for a sassy remark.
In anxiety she averted her gaze. She thought that she ruined everything now, her lips wobbled, while she tried to keep calm. The room felt colder as the silence started to stretch between them…
Just as she was about to apologize, she caught a glimpse of his face. Vins eyes were wide as he took in the picture in front of him, pupils darting all over the image, taking in the details as his thumbs mindlessly caressed the frame.
When he looked up, disbelief, wonder and sadness were mixed in his expression, as he met her gaze, and she didn’t know what to make of it. Was he insulted? Was he astounded?
“Vin, I-”, she started, but then his hand grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her to his chest, into a tight embrace. She yelped in surprise and found the hug to be uncomfortable, but the moment she noticed how he trembled, how hitched his breathing was, she decided not to complain.
He hasn’t seen his mother in ages, after all.
Otsuyu wished she could’ve gotten a better picture than some passport format, but that was too private to find, even for Akemis vast resources…
Time passed while Vin held her close and pressed his face into her shoulder. She noticed that the fabric of her shirt grew damp and decided that she won’t comment on that. Her own hands were on his back, stroking up and down, sometimes stopping to draw circles on his shoulder blades. One of his hands held onto the same shoulder he was hiding his face in and the other pressed the picture into her body.
When he finally relaxed, and lifted his head, she turned towards him. Though, she couldn’t get a good look on his face, because he captured her lips with a passion she didn’t know he had. It felt completely different from every kiss they shared before… Exciting, to be honest.
Otsuyu clutched the fabric at his chest as she reciprocated – his heart was beating rapidly, just like her own and she heard him curse under his breath against her lips.
Okay, maybe there was an outcome of today, she wasn’t prepared for… But she liked it… A lot.
The way Vin felt, how his fingers sank into her clothes to hold her close, how his lips moved against hers and how focused he seemed… It felt different to everything else they’ve had. More genuine, intimate… Vulnerable.
When he broke the kiss, he leaned his forehead to hers and cursed several times – the corners of his lips were tugged upwards. His fingers wandered upwards, and he cupped her cheek, as he looked into her eyes with a resolve she couldn’t pinpoint.
“Something on your mind?” she softly asked, afraid to burst the bubble they’re in, if she’s too loud. Vin smile grew lopsided and he half-joked: “You just doomed yourself.”
A hushed laughter escaped her, and she tilted her head, “Why’s that?”
Her answer was another kiss. One that was more playful than the other, and she felt him smile against her lips.
Ah~! she got the message.
Her boyfriend found something that made him want to stay. That something? The feelings he caught for her.

I never know what to tell people when they ask me what I want for Christmas, but then I go shopping for other people and suddenly see 8573 things I really really want.
Anyway, going shopping today. Trying to resist the sales. Gonna eat at a revolving sushi bar if the wait isn't too long. Happy Thursday!

Close friend of mine and roomie took me and another roomie to a revolving sushi bar. It was my first time going to one and it was really awesome.
I love sushi and ramen so this was great and exciting. Me and my friend started with a plum shot, which honestly tasted really nice. Then we each had around 6 plates of sushi and the same spicy tantanmen ramen. Super yum and definitely will go again.
Don't know if I remember all of these correctly but I think it was
1. Garlic Oil salmon
2. Sushi roll with popcorn shrimp on top don't remember the actual name
3. Tantanmen Ramen
4. October limited smoked salmon with a matcha crème sauce (super delish)
5. Yakiniku sushi
6. Warabimochi (sweet, nutty, cold and delicious)

Okay but Morpherine and romy trying to have a double date that oh so quickly turns into some form of absolute chaos. For some reason, I imagine it at one of those revolving sushi bars
Ooooo I can imagine that. Gambit thinks he can handle wasabi but it's brewery different spice wise from cayenne pepper. He's chugging water for a bit.
Rogue doesn't understand how paying for the plates works at first so sees it as an all you can eat buffet and then realizes what a bill they have racked up
Trying to figure out how to split it is interesting to say the least.
Morph is endlessly entertained as Logan sighs and thumbs through his wallet wanting to help his friends as team dad. He ends up going through a whole bottle of saki.
Please imagine afterwards morph and gambit, drunk off their asses and dragging Logan and rogue to the karaoke bar next door and serenading their partners from the stage.
