Imagine intentionally making Sabo cry

I wrote this while a little intoxicated as I was catching up with the latest one piece episode. I didn't remember most of the Revolutionary Army members' names in the moment, so I improvised. I have elected to keep the improvisations while including the actual names because I found them funny.

That steampunk cat-looking MF (Lindbergh): oh no, Sabo got poison in his eyes. We need to wash it out!

Goth dude (Karasu): we don't have any water!

Sabo: that's okay guys I'll just die, I wouldn't want to be a bother. [Wiping tears on his sleeve]

Koala: [has an idea] We need water to get the poison out of his eyes, but he has the water in him! He needs to cry! Quickly everyone! Say something sad!

Giant bearded school girl (Morley): dead puppy

Flag bitch (Belo Betty): dead vibrator

Sabo: [snorts] Guys, stop, I'm fine, really.

Koala: no like, it has to be really personal. Like Robin told me, she missed you the most out of the two of us.

Sabo: she did? [Clearly moved]

Dragon: [touches Sabo on the shoulder] he told me the same thing.

Sabo: Guys, I told you I'm fine.

You: I think we'll need to pull out the big guns. I was saving this for if we ever became enemies, but here we go [squats down in front of Sabo and fixes him to the spot with direct eye contact]

Sabo: (⁠⑉⁠⊙⁠ȏ⁠⊙⁠) / / Oh?

You: Ace died thinking he'd, finally, get to see you again in the afterlife.

Sabo: WTF (Y/n)! {starts bawling]

Dragon: [stares at you quietly] ... Well damn

Ivankov: Well, we need to get you to cry, Sabo.

Sabo: I'm a literal fire-man, this poison is from a plant, it just burns up in my eyes! It has no effect on me!

You: then why are your eyes so red?

Sabo: It was because there was ash in them, but now it's, also, because you ripped out my heart!

You: ... Sorry

Finally getting back to Revolutionary Army as Sabo return safely.

Despite minks being free to leave Zou and settle across the world, there are no records of minks joining the marines. A glance at the bounties of Chopper, Bepo, and the young bat mink who's on the Kid Pirates crew provides the answer. The World Government views minks as little more than beasts, similar to how fishmen were classified as fish up until 200 years ago.

Lindbergh struggled with this immensely growing up. He filed his teeth down until they were flat. He started eating meat from animals with fur. He stopped using Electro and suppressed his instincts for Garchu. He threw himself into science and inventing, and when he learned about Devil Fruits he started keeping an eye out for the Hito Hito no mi. Anything for him to become human, to be accepted.

But then when he started helping civilian underground organizations with freeing slaves, the marine who chased him down most often was Dalmatian. How was it that this man who seemingly never reverted to his human form was regarded as a hero but Lindbergh was just seen as a talking cat? That was when it dawned on the mink that everything he did to make himself presentable was for nothing. He and his people would always be nothing but an animal in the eyes of the world. There was nothing that could possibly change that.

And it was right about that time that he met one Monkey D Dragon.

He was being chased out of town by a few petty officers. Apparently the sight of him had scared a couple of kids and their parents kicked up enough of a fuss to get the Marines involved. He didn’t want a fight… he had just wanted to look at a wind dial shell he saw in an oddity shop window, dammit! If he could just get his hands on one, he could get his latest project off the ground. Literally!

He had tried to lose them in an alleyway, but they knew the city better than he did, unfortunately. He’d ran into a dead end they closed in on him fast.

But then the wind shifted, and they were unconscious on the shoddy pavement. A man in a green cloak stood between him and them.

At first, Lindbergh genuinely thought him to be a fellow Mink. He only saw his back, the wild mane of black hair as he pulled back his hood, and the scent of electricity on him, the way he moved like he grew up climbing trees… no claws, fur, or paw pads on his hands, so a simian mink of some sort? Mandrill, maybe?

Then he turned around and oh… No, not a mandrill Mink. His face wasn’t colorful enough for it, though the tattoo and eyeliner did lend to the illusion. And yet… Lindbergh still smelled electricity on him. Half-Mink, maybe?

Wait… that tattoo… that face!

What the Hell was the leader of the Revolutionary Army doing here?

And then the man took something out from beneath his cloak and held it out to him. The wind dial from the shop!

“You’re Lindbergh, correct?”

All the Mink could do was give a stiff nod.

“Would you like to come raise some hell with us?”

The shell of the ancient mollusk fits perfectly in the tinkerer’s paws. A gift. An invitation.

Since when has he ever turned down chance to spread some good old fashioned chaos?

I really want to have the time to sit down and write out like entire fics around the backstories of each of the four commanders of the rev army cuz I have pretty fully thought out headcanons for everyone but Betty at this point.

"Prodi why would you do that?"

Well who else is gonna hyperfixate on them? Especially Morley and Lindbergh since they're not visually very attractive.

Luckily I'm pretty obsessed with all the revs ✌️

So the Dragon appreciation is valid as fuck but like: what's your thoughts on some of the other revolutionaries? Ivankov, Sabo, Koala etc?

I love all the revolutionaries, they re my favourite op crew/group aside from the straw hats.

Koala and Inazuma are my other fav revolutionaries.

Sabos cool I like him but I just find the others more interesting, but honestly I didn’t get to appreciate his character much when I was watching it because I was trying to catch up as soon as possible.

I also love Ivankov, Betty, Karasu and Lindbergh.

I know the details of Kuma and Ginnys backstory but I haven’t actually read the chapters yet but I like Kuma, and Ginny seems like a cool character.

Morley and Hack are alright, but I dont have much of an opinion on them.

I also like the Terry Gilteo dude even though he’s barely on screen I just think he’s cool.

I went down the rabbit hole when I showed my sister pictures of him, and I'm still confused as to what started the rumor.

one of my headcanons is that Sabo and Lindbergh get along really well! Because they have similar temperaments And eagerness to fight. And they started hanging out more after Sabo ate mera mera no mi. (because now he can help instead of just watching Lindbergh work)

I'm saying it now because it'll explain a thing I'll say later! ;)

Also a couple of my other hc about Sabo&RA!

Belo Betty really didn't like Sabo at first. Partially because they both are bold and rude, and Betty in general isn't the nicest to people and partially because Belo Betty believes that every person must make the choice to fight themselves. And Sabo didn't. He didn't have any reason to join the RA (apart from being an injured child with nowhere else to go), he had nothing to fight for. Of course, with time they built up trust and kinda good relationship, as Sabo proven again and again his devotion to the cause. They still bicker a lot, because Sabo is a menace and Betty has a sharp tongue.

This one is silly: As Sabo was still recovering on Wind Grandma he actually spent a lot of time with Karasu, as someone had to keep an eye on the kid. So. As Sabo wasn't able to run away he had to listen to Karasu's infodumping about crows (and why they are Friends and not Food) (you can guess the only bird Sabo didn't try to eat then on field missions)

And Karasu and Dragon are part of a really small group of people which are spared of annoying side of Sabo. Because he actually respects them. (Although Dragon lost that privilege after Sabo's memories returned) (his priorities shifted and it just so happens that Dragon is so easy to make fun of)

(okay, maybe it's just me, but does anyone else have the urge to bully Dragon?? I don't actually like him that much nor do I despise him.... but.... he is a tired old man in a family of outstanding idiots I can't help but want so squeeze him like a squeaking toy. metaphorically.)
