Fall Beauty Checklist: Drugstore Makeup Favorites
I could spend forever in the drugstore makeup aisle. I’m not sure if it’s because I love discovering new products, or because I’m just really indecisive. Either way, there’s no better feeling than scooping up a bunch of new makeup for a fraction of the price. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some high-end holy grail products, but today I’m sharing my tried and true drugstore makeup favorites for eyes, lips and face.
Eyes:
Pixi + It’s Judy Time Get the Look Palette (gifted): I love supporting blogger and beauty brand collabs! This is a palette of silky eyeshadows that are perfect for day or night. I love wearing Good Morning above my crease to give some definition. Night Night (the darkest shade in the palette) looks great as eyeliner (which is also way more forgiving than liquid liner).
Maybelline The Blushed Nudes: I heard this is the drugstore dupe to the Naked3 palette (which I also have). I love my Naked3—I use every shadow in that palette so I figured I might as well scoop up shadows I know I’ll use than take a risk on a palette I’m not sure about. If you’re a beauty beginner, you’ll love how the shadows are organized so you can use these shades in duos, trios or quads. No complicated instructions here!
Physicians Formula Eyeshadow Quad (gifted): Another easy, peasy eyeshadow quad under $8. You can wear these alone or layered, wet or dry or with a shimmering or matte finish. The classic nude set (which features a combination of nude, champagne and brown shades) is perfect for any occasion. This is part of their limited edition 80th anniversary collection so make sure you scoop this up soon!
Revlon ColorStay Crème Eyeshadow: Cream eyeshadows have always been my go-to when I don’t have the patience to pull off an artistic eye look. I typically use my ring finger to lightly dab on some color on my lids. This one in Pistachio makes my green eyes really pop.
L’Oreal Infallible Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner (gifted): I love the ultra-fine felt tip—it reminds me of Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner—except this one is half the price.
L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara: This isn’t the first time I’ve raved about this drugstore mascara. I’m never using another high-end mascara again. This volumizing and lengthening mascara is my holy grail.
Lips:
L’Oreal Infallible Metallic Liquid Lipstick (gifted): I’m all about metallic lips this fall (see my recent post here). The sponge applicator makes for easy and even application. Moon Lust is great for during the day and Smoldering Eclipse is a gorgeous plum for nighttime.
Maybelline Vivid Hot Lacquer Lip Gloss: This gloss is thicker than usual lippies and it’s a bit on the sticky side but I love the color payoff. I purchased the shade Too Cute, a classic pinky nude.
Face:
L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation (gifted): On days when I don’t want a dewy finish, I like using this drugstore foundation for a matte finish. It lasts all day and it never looks caked on.
NYX Wonder Stick: Don’t bother spending $48 on a Kim Kardashian Contour Kit. This NYX Wonder Stick is my go-to for contouring. The double-ended tube also packs way more product than what you get with the KKW kit. It comes in four shades (universal, light, medium, and deep).
Rimmel Kate Sculpting and Highlight Kit: Simply put, anything that has Kate Moss on it, I buy. Supermodel aspirations aside, I bought this palette thinking these beautiful shades would look just as good on my complexion as they do in the packaging. The highlight shade is not as pigmented than I though it would be, but I love the bronzer and blush.
Physicians Formula Powder Palette (gifted): This is another favorite from the Physicians Formula 80th Anniversary Collection. This is the most pigmented highlighter I’ve tested from the drugstore. You can use this to help blur, soften lines or just add a radiant finish. I’m also really impressed with its staying power. I applied it in the morning before work and it did not come off until I actually removed my makeup. Win!

Win!
