Vadeyn is more obvious. He's gotten shit his whole life for being soft and wants his LIs approval. Like it's canon that the smallest compliment turns him into a bumbling mess. You can tell straight off he wants to be called a, "good boy." 😉

Ernol doesn't want to be patronized, so he would seek more subtle praise. But you can't tell me that after spending his life seeking (and craving) success and approval from society, he doesn't... *ahem* get off- on praise and encouragement.
