In December last year, the UK’s shadow health secretary, Wes Streeting, visited Singapore General Hospital, regarded as one of the best in the world. What he witnessed there surprised him: “Patients arrive having already registered their appointments via an app. They check in on touchscreen kiosks awaiting them at reception. Tablets at their bedside allow them to read about their treatment or call for assistance,” Streeting says. “This is Space Age stuff compared with where the NHS is today.” Streeting characterizes the National Health Service as an “analog system in a digital age.”
“When I visit a hospital, doctors often take out their pagers to show me what they are forced to work with,” Streeting says. According to estimates, 13.5 million hours of GPs’ time is wasted every year due to inadequate IT. Fixing that would be the equivalent of hiring 8,000 new NHS doctors. “For the past 14 years, modernization of the NHS has been put on the back burner by a Conservative government which opts for sticking plasters instead of the major surgery that’s required,” says Streeting, who added that he fears that five more years of Tory mismanagement could mean the NHS ends up like the failed British retailer Woolworths—“a much-loved national institution which failed to change with the times and was left behind.”
Central to Streeting’s plan to fix the NHS is the NHS app, which has been downloaded by 31 million people in England and Wales. “It has the potential to transform how the NHS interacts with patients and promote better public health,” he says. He points out that, for instance, only one in every 200 GP appointments are currently made via the app. “In too many cases, patients still wait on the phone at 8 am, or even queue up in person in the cold on a frosty morning just to see a doctor.”
The NHS app could not only allow appointments to be made, but also let patients receive notifications about vaccine campaigns, health tests, cancer screening, and even upcoming clinical trials. “Clinical trials can use genomics to identify patients who will benefit from the latest treatments, but they struggle to recruit—not for a lack of people willing to take part, but because they can’t access basic data,” he said. He promised that Labour would clamp down on bureaucracy and allow clinical trials to recruit volunteers via the app. “During the pandemic, half a million people signed up to the vaccine trials registry,” he says. “If we can do it to defeat Covid, we can do it to cure cancer.”
At the core of Labour’s plan is patient data. Recently, the NHS has announced the launch of a federated data platform that would centralize hospital data, but would not include general practice or social care data. “The NHS has struck gold here, yet it’s leaving it in the ground,” Streeting says. “General practice data is key to unlocking better population health outcomes.”
Streeting promises that a Labour government would ensure a transparent process about what aspects of patient data would be shared and with whom, as well as the necessary safeguards to ensure patient confidentiality. As for those who oppose it on the grounds of privacy concerns, he has a simple message: “It’s a fight that a Labour government is willing to have,” he says. “While the tinfoil hat brigade takes to TikTok to urge followers to opt out of sharing their data with the NHS—the irony isn’t lost on me—the government refuses to take on their fear mongering.”
He recalled when, last January, he met the parents of a 2-year-old boy at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool. “They have been through hell,” he says. “In his short life, he has already had five operations on his heart.” When he asked them what their main frustration had been, however, the answer surprised him: technology. “Their local GP couldn’t access the notes from Alder Hey and the hospital couldn’t read the records held by their GP. It meant that on every appointment they had to repeat themselves again and again. The health service should be lessening their worry, not adding to their stress.”

About
The gods created man and man created stories. The primordial creator Marda brought forth the land of Mardias. In ages past a mighty battle rocked this land, when Elore, the king of the gods, fought three malicious deities: Death, Saruin and Schirach. After a long and drawn-out struggle, Death and Schirach were sealed away and rendered powerless, with the final deity Saruin also trapped through the power of the Fatestones and the noble sacrifice of the hero Mirsa. Now 1,000 years have passed since that titanic battle. The Fatestones lie scattered across the world and the gods of evil are resurgent once more. Eight heroes set off on their own journeys, as if guided by the hand of fate. What tales will these adventurers weave across the vast tapestry of Mardias? You are the only one who can decide! The original Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song included many of the SaGa series trademark elements, such as the Glimmer and Combo mechanics and was considered to be the epitome of the series when it first released. The free scenario system that lets you create your own storyline remains at the core of the game, letting you select one of eight protagonists with completely different origins and backstories, then set off on a unique journey. This remastered edition has evolved in all areas, featuring upgraded high-definition graphics and numerous enhancements to improve playability. And for the first time ever, the game will be fully playable in French, German, Italian, and Spanish. This makes it highly recommended for both fans of the original and newcomers to the SaGa series.

With the Insight Center, organizations can centralize their AI strategy, ensuring consistent governance and user management. This makes it easier for teams to harness the power of AI, ultimately fostering better collaboration and improved service delivery. For instance, in many organizations, the HR department utilizes chatbots for recruitment processes, while customer service teams may employ different AI models to handle inquiries. The increasing reliance on AI in the workplace drives the necessity for such robust platforms. As organizations prioritize digital transformation, tools like the Insight Center will not only streamline AI integration but also support strategic decision-making by providing insights derived from AI analytics. These actionable data points can help executives identify trends, oversee performance, and refine their operational strategies accordingly.

[RERUN] Crisis on Infinite Earths, issue 9: “War Zone” (Bring on the Villains!)
[All images are owned by DC Comics, please don’t sue me]
(How many can you ID in the above cover? I’m at just over 50% without a crib sheet)
PREVIOUSLY ON…
A being known as the Anti-Monitor has destroyed all but 5 of the universes in existence) with a single survivor on Earth-6 (Lady Quark) along for the ride). Those 5 (1 (Silver Age), 2 (Golden Age), 4 (acquired from Charleton), S (acquired from Fawcett after DC sued them into oblivion), and X (acquired from Quality)) are being held in limbo (and are merging into a single reality) away from the Anti-Monitor thanks to a being known as Lyla, assisted by a being known as Pariah and the sole survivor of Earth-3 (Alexander Luthor, who is made of matter and anti-matter).
Unfortunately, the process was unstable, meaning that time has merged (meaning mammoths and futuristic aliens are among modern skyscrapers) in the areas where the Earths are merged (which are called “Warp Zones”)
The Anti-Monitor has also kidnapped Psycho Pirate (whose powers have been overloaded by the Anti-Monitor, but are slowly returning) and Earth-1’s Flash (who could pierce the barrier between universes to enter his Anti-Matter universe), who the Anti-Monitor has offered to Psycho Pirate as an emotional plaything.
However, The Flash broke free of Psycho Pirate’s influence and destroyed the Anti-Monitor’s third attempt at destroying the Multiverse, an anti-matter cannon, at the cost of his life.
On Oa, the home of the Guardians of the Universe and home to the Green Lantern Corps, a rift between the Guardians has happened, with the faction wanting to not sit idly by leaving to form their own Corps.
Meanwhile, the villains of all 5 Earths are disappearing. That can’t be good.
Now, on with our story! If you would like to read this issue, it (along with the rest of the series) has been collected in graphic novel form and is available (or can be ordered) at your favorite comic shop, bookstore, or online retailer…or on Read Comic Online.
We begin on Oa, with the proactive faction of the Guardians recruiting Guy Gardner. As Guy gets his ring…
…a bolt of anti-matter wipes out the splinter group of Guardians with the exception of one, who tells Guy to avenge them. Guy then speeds off into the Green Lantern monthly series to become the asshat we all know and…love?
(Thanks to DC Database)
Anyway, his cameo in Crisis has ended, so back to the main narrative…
We now shift to Brainiac’s ship, where he and Earth-1′s Lex Luthor have brought the 5 Earths’ villains and lay out their plan to conquer the five remaining Earths now that the Anti-Monitor has been defeated. Suddenly, the Lex Luthor of Earth-2 chimes in that he’s a better evil genius than Earth-1′s version and there’s room for only one Luthor in this scheme.
Brainiac agrees with Luthor’s second point and disintegrates him. Anyone else have any arguments? No? Good!
At the U.N., the assembly debate what to do about the Warp Zones when Pariah, who was assuring everyone that the Crisis was over as he hasn’t been pulled away…
…gets pulled away.
At that moment, Brainiac and Luthor project themselves to the U.N. saying that have seized control of Earths 4, S, and X and have put up a shield to prevent the heroes of Earths 1 and 2 (and any from the other three Earths who weren’t home at the time) from “saving the day”.
The heroes rise to the challenge, but the barrier proves too strong for even the combined might of two Kryptonians. Lyla recruits Earth-2′s Flash. She then approaches Wally West (formerly known as Kid Flash, now retired due to his use of his speed slowly destroying his body) and Flash shames West to come out of retirement.
Flash and the now-unretired Kid Flash rebuild the Cosmic Treadmill that allows those with super speed to cross universes, with the hope that this could bypass the barrier. They have attached several large platforms to transport the heroes with them. It is a success (just as Brainiac predicted) Brainiac computed huge losses on both sides, but the villains eventually being triumphant.
Over the next eight pages is the most epic battle between super-powered individuals. There are casualties, notably Aquagirl. (yes, I know…no one of major import, but still…) All in all, the villains appear to be maintaining control.
Above the battle, in Brainiac’s ship, Luthor and Brainiac gloat about their plan working (and if the heroes appear to be winning, they’ll just blow up the Earths they control which will, due to everything being linked, destroy the other two as well. Luthor is philosophical, as they can always conquer another world. Plus, villain losses mean less they have to share)
Suddenly, Brainiac explodes!
…as Psimon (who didn’t leave the ship. Apparently his big brain isn’t just for show) emerges to say he likes their plan…except for the fact he’s not in charge…as he turns his powers on Luthor.
One of the few times a cliffhanger leaves a villain in peril!
WILL Psimon take over as leader of the villians?
CAN the heroes overcome the villains and save the collected Earths?
ISN’T there a less messy way to cull the roster?
These questions and more will me answered next issue!

Advance digital equity today or usher in a future of egregious economic inequality - Connect Humanity
At Marconi Society’s “Decade of Digital Inclusion” conference last year, we heard from leaders in technology and digital equity. What follows is a précis of my remarks and some additional reflections for the session, ‘The (Big) Data Economy: Inclusion and Fairness’, in which I focus on the importance of digital equity now to secure a future that works for all.
When ‘good enough’, isn’t good enough
Rural and low-income communities have been expected to make-do with antiquated infrastructure and low-performing technologies offered at high costs, such as legacy copper (DSL) or coaxial cable networks, or satellite service. Time and again, communities are told not to expect fiber-based networks, but to settle for whatever technology is offered to them. In his book, Farm Fresh Broadband, Christopher Ali calls this the “politics of good enough”.
Digital inclusion — having access to quality broadband infrastructure, devices, and the digital skills to use them — is key to upward mobility. It is a portal to healthcare and education, a platform to start and grow a business, and the first rung on the ladder to a well paid job.
For much of the 20th Century, individuals were able to enter the middle class, with or without a college degree, through jobs in manufacturing and retail. Today most jobs have a digital component and employers across sectors look for candidates with well-honed digital skills. If you haven’t grown up with access to data and devices, you’re starting at a disadvantage. And if you don’t have a computer and a connection, good luck applying for a job in a world where recruitment happens almost entirely online.
Digital exclusion doesn’t just punish job seekers, it holds back the creation of jobs in the first place. When a community doesn’t have the fiber infrastructure to attract and retain 21st century businesses, it loses out on so many fronts. Fewer work opportunities. A lower tax base. Less activity in the local economy. Higher unemployment — and the economic and social costs that often follow in distressed communities.
Digital inclusion is economic inclusion
‘Digital exclusion’ is ‘economic exclusion’. By maintaining the digital divide, this politics of ‘good enough’ will perpetuate ever greater income and wealth inequality. By the same token, ‘digital inclusion is economic inclusion’ and by pursuing what Jonathan Sallet calls broadband networks ‘fit for the future’ we can start unwinding the entrenched poverty that has robbed communities of a brighter future.
We cannot miss this moment. The longer we wait to close the digital divide, the harder it’ll be for those on the wrong side to catch up. We have the technology, the established research methodologies and data sets, and best practices. We have business and operating models, philanthropy, and, in the U.S., the Community Reinvestment Act, that can support the connection of low-income, BIPOC, and rural communities that large national providers have not served equitably. Let’s heed the warning of one of our most trusted leaders in broadband policy, Blair Levin: “…our country may take the biggest backwards step any country has ever taken in increasing, rather than closing, the digital divide.” Let’s not blindly proceed on that path.
Civic participation at its best
There are local and regional ISPs, co-ops, local governments, and community partners across the country who are rolling up their sleeves and building next generation broadband networks for underserved communities. And they know better than to aim for the minimum speed, i.e., the FCC’s definition of 25/3 mbps that seems to be frozen in time, driven by a scarcity narrative in a world where accelerating technology demands require that networks ‘fit for the future’ offer far greater speeds. This is civic participation at its best — and the government, philanthropy, and the private sector must support these efforts.
Rather than wasting time entertaining inaccurate, unreliable, expensive maps (at least $44 million for the new FCC “Federal Broadband Map” by CostQuest) and catering to powerful companies that write the rules and misrepresent their service, we must engage with communities to understand their needs, their context, and work with them to shape our shared digital future. This is the work I joined Connect Humanity to do, with a special focus on the Texas-Mexico border region.
When we make investments in local communities, we support an inclusive economy and opportunities for under-represented groups to use, create, and own assets in the digital economy. That level of inclusion is necessary for a diversity of people to become the makers and shapers of fair algorithms, the owners of local and regional ISPs, the ethical managers of the internet of things, and the leaders who engage communities to make policy and law to protect people from the deleterious use of big data and AI.
Here’s a link to replay the panel.

A main pillar of PiS’s campaign has been the festive picnics held in rural areas, organised to ensure this key part of the electorate sticks with the party on October 15. Yet the mood at these events could hardly be described as enthusiastic.
It’s Saturday around noon and a few hundred people are celebrating Mass on a football field on the premises of the agricultural school in the village of Mietne, in the Garwolin commune, about 70 kilometres south-east of the capital Warsaw.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, flanked by Polish Agriculture Minister Robert Telus, is sitting in the front row, diligently singing fragments of the Mass or crossing himself at the appropriate times. Law and Justice (PiS) parliamentary candidates from the region, including Maria Koc who is first on the PiS electoral list, are seated next to the prime minister, the piety on their faces broadcast live on a huge screen above the stage.
The picnic, under the banner “Gratitude to the Polish Village”, is organised around several elements: a religious Mass, a market where local producers display their foods and a recruitment point for the Polish military. But the main reason everyone is here is to listen to the speeches of the campaigning politicians.
“As of midnight today, just 12 hours ago, we prolonged the embargo on Ukrainian grain independently of what the European Commission decided,” Morawiecki announced from the stage at the September 16 event, referring to an import ban on Ukrainian wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds that are destined for foreign markets but which actually remain on domestic markets, causing prices to collapse.
“We did this because we are taking care of Polish farmers. We are the ones who cared about Polish farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic, the ‘Putin-flation’, the big energy crisis – and we are the ones caring about the Polish farmers today, during the Ukrainian grain crisis,” he explained.
“Tusk and that ‘Judas’ went to Brussels and got nothing – because, over there, it’s German interests which dictate,” Morawiecki said, referring to the leader of Civic Platform and the farmers’ leader Michal Kolodziejczak who was persuaded to run for parliament on the lists of the main opposition party.
While people who live in the countryside have traditionally supported PiS, farmers have become increasingly disenchanted with the governing party over the last few years. The points of contention include poor management of outbreaks of animal illnesses, the weak position of farmers in relation to the multinationals that dominate the retail sector, the rising cost of fertiliser, and lately the dumping of Ukrainian grain on the Polish market.
Yet despite Kolodziejczak as well as Poland’s small agrarian party joining the opposition ranks, the solutions that the liberal-democratic bloc are offering rural voters ahead of the October 15 general election do not seem attractive enough to draw many away from PiS – even if they are no longer enthused by the governing party.
‘The mayor told us’
Among those exhibiting their products at the picnic were women representing so-called “Country Housewife Circles” from various municipalities in Garwolin and the broader western Mazowsze area. These Circles, an important element of Polish rural life, bring together women not only to cook and showcase food products from their regions, but also to integrate and socialise. Many Circles also organise activities such as hiking trips or computer classes.
Without exception, all the women representing Circles interviewed by BIRN said their clubs do not have any clear political orientation.
“We are here because the mayor told us to come, to display the traditional food products in our region,” one of the women said. “But our Circle does not have an official position of supporting or opposing PiS – our members are free to have any political views they want.”
“It is not easy to make a living out of farming these days, and we do not get enough governmental support,” another of the Circle women, herself a farmer, said, revealing a hint of more negative views on PiS than the organisers of the picnic might imagine.
Other women explained they are not farmers but rather work in sales, agro-tourism or areas not connected to farming, and that the Polish countryside has changed dramatically over the years. That is, the cliché of the Polish farmer that the PiS event seemed to be designed for – deeply Catholic, tied to local traditions and faithful to state institutions – no longer seems to correspond to most of the inhabitants of rural areas these days.
According to the National Statistical Office (GUS), about 40 per cent of the 38 million Polish population live in villages and – contrary to expectations – the number of people living in rural areas has been slowly increasing over the last few years as urban dwellers migrate to small localities or villages nearby.
However, only a fraction of rural dwellers are farmers. According to official data, there were around 1.3 million farms in the country in 2020, a fall of nearly 13 per cent compared to the previous census in 2010.
And, importantly, according to the 2022 edition of a periodic mega-study on rural life published by the Foundation for the Development of the Polish Village, the way of life of inhabitants of cities and villages no longer differs as much as might once be assumed.
The study shows that while rural inhabitants tend to have more conservative values and be more supportive of PiS than city dwellers, as of 2020 the opinions of inhabitants of villages and farmers have become more negative towards the government – even if those negative views are less strong than seen in the general population.
At the same time, the authors of the study found that “although before rural dwellers and farmers used to be more optimistic about their future than the general population, those differences have significantly decreased as of early 2022.”
Rural inhabitants and farmers, it seems, have become less certain that PiS can ensure a good life for them and their families than they used to be.
If at the last election 56 per cent of rural voters chose PiS, an April poll indicated that only about 38 per cent would stick with the governing party this time around. This has contributed to PiS’s lead over Civic Coalition narrowing to 6 percentage points as the election approaches, according to Politico’s latest poll of polls.
“I will be voting for PiS, but I am 60 per cent satisfied with them and 40 percent unsatisfied,” Waldemar, a 75-year-old retired building administrator from the village of Mietne, told BIRN at the Garwolin picnic. “I worked hard my entire life and I have a comfortable pension. But they’re wasting too much money – was it necessary to spend so much on such a fancy event?”
Who else to choose?
The main liberal opposition party, Civic Platform (PO), engineered a surprise move back in August when it announced that Agrounia leader Michal Kolodziejczak would run for parliament on its lists. Kolodziejczak has been the most vocal among farming leaders protesting against PiS and the Ukrainian grain and other exports flooding the Polish market.
“Putting Kolodziejczak on the PO list was smart, but the impact is not likely to be that huge,” Ruta Spiewak, a researcher from the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development at the Polish Academy of Science, tells BIRN. “Kolodziejczak appeals to big farmers, and there are about 300,000 big farms in Poland. It’s not a few, but it won’t dramatically change the election result.”
She adds that there’s a danger some farmers could regard Kolodziejczak as a “traitor”, hence Morawiecki’s use of the “Judas” perjorative in his speech at the Garwolin event.
Spiewak draws attention to the diversity within Poland’s rural population; “there is no one rural area, there are many rural areas in Poland,” she explains. For example, city dwellers recently relocated to villages who still keep connections to urban life might be interested in the PO offer, but some might also be attracted to the far-right Confederation, the expert thinks. Another demographic that could be drawn to the far-right in rural areas are the youth, who see little options for a good life and prosperous future where they live.
Some rural voters will also still prefer the small agrarian party PSL, now united with the Catholic progressive political party of Szymon Holownia, under the banner “Third Way”. The alliance is broadly affiliated with the liberal opposition, though some polls indicate it will struggle to meet the threshold to enter parliament.
“We may expect that those living in rural areas further from the big cities will continue to vote for PiS,” Spiewak says. “Many of them do not make a living out of farming, and they don’t make a lot of money. They are frustrated with the sky-rocketing costs of living, so they need the PiS subsidies. And then their main source of information is the PiS-controlled state television.”
“The problem, really, is that no one else talks to these people directly, apart from PiS. You go to some areas deeper into the countryside and all you see are election posters of PiS – no one else goes there,” she says.

Recruitment and Company Culture Videos for Dallas Corporations
Recruitment and Company Culture Videos for Dallas Corporations
In today’s competitive job market, attracting top talent goes beyond posting job openings and listing company perks. More and more, companies in Dallas are turning to recruitment and company culture videos to connect with potential candidates and showcase what makes their workplace unique. As one of the fastest-growing business hubs in the U.S., Dallas corporations are leveraging video content to highlight their culture, values, and opportunities to stand out in a crowded marketplace.
In this blog, we’ll explore why recruitment and company culture videos are becoming essential tools for Dallas companies and how they can help businesses attract, engage, and retain the best employees.
Why Recruitment and Company Culture Videos Matter
Dallas is home to a diverse array of industries, from finance and tech to healthcare and retail, and competition for skilled professionals is fierce. Video content offers an engaging and effective way to give prospective employees an inside look at what it’s like to work for your company, helping to foster a deeper connection with potential hires. Here’s why these types of videos are so valuable:
Showcasing Authentic Company Culture Candidates are looking for more than just a paycheck—they want to work for a company that aligns with their values, offers growth opportunities, and has a positive work environment. Company culture videos allow businesses to highlight their workplace culture in an authentic and relatable way. By featuring real employees, showing behind-the-scenes glimpses of the office, and emphasizing core values, companies can give candidates a true sense of what life at the company is like.
Creating a Personal Connection Unlike text-based job descriptions, video content creates a personal connection between the viewer and the company. Prospective employees can see and hear directly from leadership, team members, and peers about their experiences and roles. This humanizes the company and makes it easier for candidates to envision themselves as part of the team. A compelling video can be the difference between a potential hire feeling excited about applying or moving on to another opportunity.
Enhancing Employer Branding In Dallas’ booming corporate environment, employer branding is more important than ever. Recruitment and culture videos serve as powerful branding tools, helping to shape how your company is perceived by job seekers. A well-produced video not only conveys your company’s strengths but also reinforces your commitment to employee development, diversity, and work-life balance. This boosts your reputation and makes your company more attractive to top-tier candidates.
Reaching a Wider Audience Video content is highly shareable, which means your recruitment videos can reach a much wider audience than traditional job listings. By posting videos on social media platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube, Dallas companies can expand their reach, attract passive job seekers, and create more visibility for their employer brand. Additionally, videos embedded on career pages or job boards often increase engagement and application rates, as candidates are more likely to watch a video than read through lengthy text.
Key Types of Recruitment and Company Culture Videos
Dallas corporations can use a variety of video formats to support their recruitment efforts and highlight their culture. Here are some of the most effective types of videos for engaging potential employees:
Employee Testimonial Videos Employee testimonials are one of the most impactful ways to show what it’s like to work at your company. In these videos, real employees share their personal experiences, discuss their roles, and explain why they love working for the organization. These authentic, first-hand accounts resonate with candidates and build trust. Prospective hires want to hear from current employees about the challenges, opportunities, and culture, and testimonial videos provide that genuine insight.
Day-in-the-Life Videos Day-in-the-life videos offer a detailed look at what it’s like to work in specific roles within your company. These videos take candidates through a typical workday, from meetings and projects to social interactions and office perks. By showcasing the daily routine, these videos help potential hires envision themselves in the role, making the job feel more tangible and relatable. This is particularly effective for positions that require specialized skills or are more difficult to describe through text alone.
Leadership and Vision Videos Hearing directly from leadership can make a big impact on prospective employees. In these videos, company executives or team leaders discuss the company’s mission, vision, and growth plans. These videos not only provide insight into the company’s strategic direction but also highlight the leadership style, fostering a sense of connection and alignment for candidates who value strong, inspiring leadership.
Office Tour and Facility Showcase Videos Dallas is known for its modern office spaces and state-of-the-art corporate facilities, and showcasing your workspace can be a big selling point. Office tour videos highlight the environment employees will work in—whether it’s a sleek downtown high-rise, a collaborative open office space, or a campus-style facility with plenty of amenities. These videos can also emphasize workplace benefits like on-site fitness centers, employee lounges, or tech-driven workstations, adding another layer of appeal for job seekers.
Culture and Values Videos Every company has its unique culture, and videos are a great way to bring that culture to life. Culture and values videos focus on what makes your company special, from team-building events and charitable initiatives to workplace diversity and inclusion efforts. These videos can feature employees participating in volunteer work, team outings, or company celebrations, giving viewers a sense of the community and camaraderie within the organization.
Recruitment Call-to-Action Videos A recruitment call-to-action video is a short, engaging clip designed to drive interest in open positions. It can include an overview of available jobs, highlight key perks, and provide clear instructions on how to apply. These videos are often used in social media campaigns or on career websites to quickly grab the attention of job seekers and encourage them to take the next step in the application process.
Best Practices for Producing Recruitment and Culture Videos
When creating recruitment and culture videos, it’s important to ensure the content reflects your company’s brand and messaging in the best possible light. Here are some best practices to keep in mind:
Keep It Authentic Authenticity is key in recruitment videos. Potential employees can tell when something feels scripted or overly produced. The goal is to show the real culture, so focus on highlighting genuine interactions and stories from employees. Capture the true essence of your workplace to create a video that resonates on a personal level.
Prioritize High-Quality Production First impressions matter, and poorly produced videos can detract from the professionalism of your company. Invest in professional video production to ensure high-quality visuals, clear audio, and smooth editing. This is especially important for leadership videos, facility tours, and testimonial clips where production quality reflects your company’s attention to detail.
Highlight Diversity and Inclusion Diverse workforces drive innovation and create more dynamic workplaces. Make sure your recruitment videos reflect the diversity within your company, and highlight your commitment to inclusivity. Showing employees from different backgrounds, roles, and perspectives helps candidates feel that they belong, and makes your company more attractive to a wide range of talent.
Keep the Message Clear and Concise Recruitment and company culture videos should be engaging but also concise. Viewers may not watch long, drawn-out videos, so keep them focused and to the point. Highlight the key aspects of your culture, work environment, and values while maintaining a narrative flow that keeps viewers interested.
Share Across Multiple Channels Don’t limit your recruitment videos to your company’s website. Share them across all relevant platforms, including LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media channels. This helps you reach a wider audience, including passive job seekers who may not be actively looking for a new job but are open to opportunities.
