I love this job, I really do, it's my part time job for like 5 years now and I love working with people, but god they are pain in the ass

Things like hello, please and thank you don't exist to them

Sometimes, when I'm mad, the convo goes like this:

- hello

• i want blue jeans

- hello

• i want blue jeans size 34/30

- hello

AND THEY STILL WON'T SAY IT BACK

I work in an outlet where tourists come, and let me tell you, tourists from certain countries are really the worst😊

But don't worry, my country's people suck too.

Sometimes I think abt the weird ass customer encounters Ive had while at my retail Job.

Personal favourite is the crying Pineapple lady. She kissed me on the cheek! I think abt her often, is she okay now.

I’ve also had like atleast 6 elderly people tell me to save them a prayer when I’m on my knees stocking product.

I’ve seen a person wearing a hentai bondage short and a whole other person wearing a Jesus hat in the same day.

There’s been a guy at one point who wore a thong as a mask.

Today I’m working the Super Bowl alone. I haven’t died yet but if you see me on here after 4 that means I made it.

the retail store i work at will either play the best, most delicious songs you've ever heard or woman's world and there's no in between

made my self care list for tomorrow. it includes things I want to make a priority before and after work. a majority of it is pain management related. things like stretching my body, magnesium supplements, ibuprofen, trying my best to have good posture throughout the day, etc.

my body has been sore today, but I recently finished doing some gentle stretching, I took a bath and used Epsom salt, and I will typically take magnesium and vitamin d in the evening to help ease my muscles before bed. oh, and I had my mom help me put icy hot on my neck/shoulder.

working a retail job is very tough, both mentally and physically. it’s hard to be on your feet nearly all day. but I know that there are at least some things I can do to help me feel ok during these shifts, as well as things I can do that will help me recover on my off days. mental health has always been important to me, and it still is. but im working on being consistent with taking care of myself physically as someone who works retail and experiences a lot of body aches.
