The lost art of the Ashkenazi wooden synagogues 🕍 There’s one of these in Boston, the Vilna Shul (https://vilnashul.org/about/our_history). The interior painting was primarily a Lithuanian thing, hence why most of them have been destroyed. A 1894 #greenhouse !#serramargherita it was used to house #palmtrees 🌴🌿🪴and other warm-weather plants.
