I'll never forget the day I was hosting at a restaurant. It was pretty nice. Not like black tie, but it had a view and pretty steep prices.

And one day a man walked in with what looked like his extended family.

He was wearing, I shit you not. Shorts. And a bathrobe. No shirt.

Just a hairy gut. And he had such extreme confidence he expected all ten of his party members to get seated right away.

The rest of his family seemed at least semi normal, but they saw him acting like an asshole weirdo as a sort of 'oh that's just Uncle Joey' sort of way.

Everyone needs to work in a restaurant at least once. You meet every type of person you can think of.

You can expect a fresh bouquet of your favourite flowers to be gift wrapped and already placed in a vase, first thing in the morning.

Along with a decadent box of sweet delicacies that are one of the fanciest and meticulous kind.

Tethered to your preference, naturally.

Perhaps a more intricate stolen gift in the form of jewellery or trinket is also presented to you.

Those simple yet thoughtful gestures would already have your hands being thrown around his neck in a tight hug and kisses pressed to that handsome face of his.

Your reaction alone would have his typically cold heart thud a little harder in his chest and a joyous smile plastered on his lips.

He just loves you too much and can't help but act like a docile puppy around you.

My man is just happy he can be in your presence.

If you decide you don't want to do anything and instead remain at home, he is also happy to just spend it with you.

The end of the day is either spent quietly or in bed.

He is more than fine with the former and happily complies to it.

Cool news: I found a small chain of celiac-safe yakitori restautants! Bird's Nest (Brisbane area). There were so many different options I was a bit overwhelmed deciding. The grilled oyster mushroom skewers were so good, I am going to try and recreate those at home and the chicken was perfect and tender. My Mom and I used to get yakitori takeout when I was a kid in FL and eating it reminds me of happy memories, it was really nice to be able to have it again.
