Happy Easter!!!

HAPPY EAASTER!!!!!

Every year at Easter I end up crying because it constantly baffles and amazes me that a God gave his precious son to suffer and die a disgraced and horrible death for our sake. For YOUR sake. For MY sake.

And then three days later he defeated death and rose again.

And one day I will see him and thank him in person. :D

Praise be to Jesus Christ who paid the price of sin so that any one who repents can come to Him for forgiveness, mercy and grace!

Who is Barabbas?

I'm posting this now cuz I'm gonna be busy tomorrow, so here we go.

This week I head this song called "I am Barabbas" by Josiah Queen. I was first like 'oh, this is a cool song.' But then it began to sink in.

Barabbas was a prisoner during the passover festival as Jesus was on trial (see Matthew 27:17). And during the passover, the roman government released one prisoner to them. Pilate didn't want Jesus to die because he found no fault in Him (Matthew 27 has the whole context). but the crowd asked for Barabbas to be released and Jesus to be crucified.

Previously, I didn't see the connection of Jesus taking the place for us except with all the prophecies in the old testament. But after hearing that song, I started to think. "Oh, Barabbas is me, is us all. I deserved to be crucified, not Jesus." Jesus willingly went to the cross for me, you, and everyone in the world. He took the punishment I should've taken, but didn't. And you don't have to either.

And the best part? He didn't stay dead. Thus, Easter Sunday.

The prayer can be as simple as "God, be merciful to me a sinner."

I drew a quick picture of the empty tomb so you don't just have to hear my rambling.

HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY!!!!

Just a reminder to those who see this…Jesus loves you and he gave life for you so that you don’t have to go to eternal hell when you die! All you have to do is repent and invite him in! Heaven is a real place and I don’t want to go without any of you! Today we don’t mourn his death but instead celebrate his victory in the resurrection!

God's love is so amazing and he keeps showing it everyday. Today is his resurrection day and he is risen. I believe in the power of resurrection and i am not ashamed of it. Because without this amazing love that Christ died for me I wouldn't be here today.

I have witnessed his perfect love over my life and i hope you experience that same love too.
