To continue her work... Moira realized she needed more test subjects. She's worked on animals, she's worked on herself, she's even worked on some humans. Yet her thirst for knowledge is... never-ending.

This is what started the "vaccine clinic". Despite her just being a geneticist and not a licensed medical doctor, she still managed to make a fake vaccine clinic work with help from Talon. This was how she planned to get a wide range of subjects.

The plan was easy enough. She fills a few syringes with anesthesia, convinces a few people that they're having a reaction, and do what she wishes with them. People who came into the "clinic" varied in size, gender, and age.

But amongst the crowd of her chosen subjects... she found you.

At first she thought she has enough subjects already. Her plan was working and she managed to convince about five to be under her care. Then she saw you... someone she felt would be perfect... some she just had to have.

You looked at her with so much trust. You wanted to try the new vaccine. However, Moira didn't feel bad when she injected you with the drug.

"Dear, you look sick..." Moira coos in a worried tone, rehearsed perfectly as she had said it for all the rest. "Why don't you sit down?"

Just like that, you're out like a light...

and at her mercy.

While Moira was intrigued by you at first, she treats you like all the other patients. Your encounters with her usually involve experiments. Sometimes there's pain... sometimes you're too drugged up to notice.

You can't speak much for the other "patients" as you have never seen them. Moira keeps you in a separate room and she's the only one to ever see you. You ask her if there's other doctors... she says nothing.

Once the first few experiments take place is when you realize you've been trapped. By the time you feel pain and are told you have a disease you had no idea you had, you know you're being lied to. You've been tricked...

Now you're forced to endure Moira's twisted ideals.

Moira was never a person known for her empathy. To her, the sacrifices you and others are giving will help humanity move forward. All that matters are results.

Yet Moira will admit she's gotten... attached to you as experiments go on.

To you, time is irrelevant. You have no idea where you are. There's no visible clocks, only bleak walls and a dull pain in your body. Along with the drugs often being coursed through your blood to make the experiments easier... you are never performing at your full potential.

All that you get to see is Moira, your "doctor". At first you hated her, you despised what she's done to you. You doubt you're even fully human anymore.

Yet now... she's really all you have. When conducting experiments she reassures you she's making you better. You don't believe it, especially with the discoloration of your skin. Despite your distrust she's the only comfort you have.

In fact, you start to lean into her. You admit she's the only contact you've had in who knows how long. Moira's reaction to this was rather... neutral.

Although later on Moira began to feed into this. After a test is ran she praises you and gives positive encouragement. In fact... you're treated not as a human, but as a pet.

Unexpectedly... you're living for it.

You lean into her touches and allow her to do as she pleases. Your "doctor" appears pleased at her developments. Not only do you yield promising results...

But now she has a little pet... a lab rat to test and reward.

You looking forward to seeing her was a change she didn't know she wanted. To see you eagerly wait for her in your testing clothes like a dog waiting for their owner was... cute. Out of all her subjects... you were the favorite.

It gets to the point even when she greets you she compliments you and asks how you are. She wasn't expecting to be so attached to you. Yet now she can't imagine parting from you.

At this point... she may not even need the other subjects. She's fine with just you. Only because you're so compliant.

You listen to every order. Every little thing she tells you, you obey. It's what the doctor says, right?

Moira feels accomplished when she finds and "trains" you. You're the perfect lab rat. The best part?

She gets to keep you all to herself.

Her little experiment... one that listens to every order she gives.

- I feel like Hanji would be in a university, and whatever classes they’re taking they would be talking about it with you. If you went to the same university then they would help you with the class you’re struggling with.

- They are so unorganized but they try their hardest to be better organized for you.

- Whenever it’s your birthday they would plan something new every year to always keep it a surprise.

- They would make you put on their glasses and then they would take pictures of you and save it on their phone. Though the picture’s always end up looking a bit blurry due to their constant movement while trying to take the picture. Blurry or not, they will print out these photos.

📚Armin Arlert📚

- He loves to read to you. If you’re upset, crying, angry or just in a bad mood then he will lay on the bed with you on his chest while he tells you stories about his good past memories.

- If you have any trouble getting to sleep he will read you a small story and/or hum to you.

- If you’re sick or working and Armin is home he would do the dishes, do the laundry, cook, clean, organize, anything you need done he’s got your back.

- If you both went to college or university, he would help you study and you two would often have study dates.

🔫Reiner Braun🔫

- He would be such a gentleman. He would offer to take off your coat or jacket and hang it up on the hanger.

- If you guys are on a lunch/dinner date, he will pull out your chair for you and once you sat down he will push in your chair.

- He likes to give flowers to you, especially on special occasions like your birthday, any type of holiday you celebrate, etc.

- If you got a little bit of food on the corner of your mouth Reiner would get it off you by kissing it.

Quicksand.

Quicksand is a colloid hydrogel consisting of fine granular material, and water. Quicksand forms in saturated loose sand when the sand is suddenly agitated. When water in the sand cannot escape, it creates a liquefied soil that loses strength and cannot support weight. 


So in conclusion: quicksand sucks. 


Literally. 



Mastermind can feel the liquid-like sand seep deep into his scales as it slowly swallowed him, currently at his shoulders. If he wanted to survive, Mastermind just didn't have to struggle, that was key. This was his punishment until Queen Glory has yet to give him a real punishment for kidnapping RainWings and testing upon them. It only gave him time to think about what he had done and feel guilty about it. It also was what his son wanted. At least he’s wiser than he was about his actions. 

  "Hey." There was a voice above.

A RainWing appeared in shimmering (f/c) with a blow dart in their talons. "You kinda look like a very dark log in the mud." 
That was... random.

Then the RainWing kept talking. 
  "Do you like the weather? I really do! The clouds are so pretty and it sometimes brings the skylight." 
Mastermind moved his talons through the gooey substance, grasping at a tree root in his makeshift prison to stay up near the edge.
  "What is this skylight?" he asked, curious of the name. 
  "Well, it happens when the dark clouds come. Sometimes with rain and loud roars from the sky," the RainWing said, letting dark storm clouds of grey-blue spill over their scales in a sort of demonstration. Suddenly, a blue-white stripe streaked across the darkness of their exaggerated wings, before setting back to its shade of stormy dark grey-blue. "It's like a really fast white light that you can see if you don't blink. Trust me, it's the only way to see it. It's really cool to watch, until it lights a tree on fire." 
  "This skylight. Don't you mean lightning?" Mastermind inquired. 
  "Nah," the RainWing dismissed him. "I like the name skylight better."
He didn't know why, but Mastermind felt slightly hesitate (perhaps embarrassed) to ask in his scientific curiosity. 
  "How much do you know about storms?" 
  "A lot!" they exclaimed. Their head then snapped up to the canopy, ears and tongue flicking. Then, the mysterious RainWing guard vanished. 
  'That was rude,' thought Mastermind as he squinted into the green curtain above. 'Leaving in the middle of a conversation.' 
A pile of palm frond leaves then fell beside him, where the stormy RainWing materialized out of seemingly no where. No matter how much studying or observing Mastermind had done, he could never seem to cease to be amazed at the transition of the various greens that made perfect camouflage disappear be eaten away by eye catching dark grey-blue they once before. It really did stand out compared to the other, very bright Rainwings. It made them seem... more elegant in a way. Fierce yet elegant. Which seemed to be the perfect definition for the RainWing tribe. 
  "Anyway," the RainWing began to talk again, this time beginning to work with the slim leaves of the palm fronds into a pattern with their talons. "It rains different, ya know. Sometimes it doesn't actually fall from the sky (that is fog). Most of the time it does rain here, but depending on the season the rainforest can get different amounts of rainfall."

Mastermind was completely blown away. This RainWing was having a very intelligent conversation with him.

"Are you enjoying my company? You haven't said too much, so you're a good listener!" 
 Mastermind stuttered. "I do indeed find it interesting to listen to your fascination of storms," he said. 
  "That's nice," said the RainWing, glancing over at him from their weaving. "The other RainWings say I sound too smart and they usually aren't able to follow with me and get bored." 
  "Well, I am not too familiar with weather sciences," Mastermind told them. "But I am a scientist." The only weather that went on the Nightwing island was the dark overcast of volcanic smoke overhead and an occasional acid-like rain. Then again, it was Mastermind's job to monitor the volcanoes themselves and not the weather, which sounded kinda silly. 
  "It's pretty cool, I guess," the RainWing said. "It helps to know when it's going to rain and how much. And when the skylight hits the ground, then we can clear out certain areas so that a fire doesn't spread. And to help explain to the dragonets when they hear the cloud dragons roar so that they're not too scared of it." 
All of that was rather thoughtful and creative of the RainWing, Mastermind thought. He really did take their intelligence for granted. 

A drop of water splashed onto Mastermind's snout. The drops then began to increase in number until a steady rain formed, promptly soaking the two dragons. The RainWing finished their project and held it over Mastermind's sinking head. It was a little canopy, the palm fronds were weaved together expertly, packing them tight together to stay water tight, leaving Mastermind dry from the rain. 
  "Thank you," he said, studying the weave pattern they used on the canopy above him. 
  "No problem," they chirped, indigo flowers blooming onto their scales. "I know some dragons don't like to get wet." But the RainWing stayed in the down pour, their colors shifting to a memorizing drip-like cascade of blues, greens, and greys that matched the jungle rain storm. 
A low rumble of thunder gurgled in the distance as the day faded to the darker night. Then a brilliant flash of lightning streaked the sky above the jungle canopy, lighting up the dark in a brief cover of light. The stormy RainWing just giggled and stared in awe at it all like a dragonet. This really was a strange one for Mastermind...

The banter is well done and it has a few throwbacks to the original story.

After the defeat of Chaos, Usagi and Mamoru bring back the Shitennou. However, the complete lack of trust within the team is really bothering Usagi. She convinces Mamoru that what is needed to get everyone on the same page is a fun night out of team-building activities.
