Made this meme on my Tiktok page recently about the Jellyfish Sandy skins and how when I went birthday shopping wih my grandma the other day I got a playstore card to get Brawl Pass+ next month for them

Also Classic Brawl is in 5 days and it'll be my first time I'll ever get to open boxes on Brawl Stars (I started playing during Candyland Season- Early 2023) I made an agreement with my siblings that if I don't get Sugar Rush Sandy from the boxes within a week (if the event lasts longer than a day- at least somewhere around or more than a week) that I'd buy the skin with bling because I more than enough bling to get it and have all of Sandy's skins before next month so I'm hoping I can get some luck from Supercell with that

Eddie’s live-streaming in the middle of the afternoon one day, strumming on his guitar in his studio when he hears the door at the top of the stairs open and then slam shut. There’s a lot of fast and heavy steps, and then there’s Steve standing in the room, out of breath and wide eyed.

They just stare at each other for a second before Steve asks with barely concealed excitement, “You got the job?”

Eddie’s face breaks out into a big smile and confirms, “I got the job.”

“You got the job!!” Steve says excited and mimes playing a trumpet. Eddie’s just barely sat his guitar to the side before he’s got a lap full of Steve. “I’m so proud of you.”

Eddie smiles into the kiss he gets and looks soft when Steve rambles excitedly about how he knew he’d get it, but Eddie also remembers he’s live-streaming so he says, “Careful, babe. You’re the only one who knows, not allowed to tell anybody yet.”

Wow, that's a whole other repost to the one I thought it was going to be, lol. It's been reposted to TikTok once before, and I'm also not surprised this person got it from Reddit, where I doubt I was credited either.

At the end of the day I appreciate the heads up but there's nothing I can really do about it. The most helpful thing anyone can do is to leave comments on the reposts to provide credit,* because if artists ever try and comment then we pretty invariably get attacked. Don't be mean or aggressive, that just builds their animosity towards the artists, but I do think people respond positively to outside pressure to do the right thing 🤷

*Remember to make sure there's enough context - eg. something like "art by @ landegart on Twitter" is more searchable/useful than "artist is Landeg" to someone on TikTok who has no idea who I am haha

Ah, thank you anon! I'm not particularly surprised unfortunately, not the first time it's happened with that comic — sadly I don't think there's much I can do about it, especially since I don't have a tiktok myself. But thank you for letting me know! I do like to know whenever that happens, even if I can't do anything to get the videos taken down. At the very least, it's a reminder that I should really start putting some sort of signature on my comics 😅

...Also, in this particular case the video you linked actually made me laugh when I looked at it, because!! Quick storytime: the last time someone messaged me to let me know that a tiktoker had reposted the horrors comic, I went and looked at it and noticed that the reposter had put two of the comic pages in the wrong order. Somehow NO ONE in the comments had mentioned the fact that the order of events didn't flow right, it was hilarious.

Why is this relevant? Well, because this tiktok you've linked me to has the SAME EXACT MISTAKE, which indicates to me that this new person didn't even steal it from me directly, they stole it from the OTHER REPOSTER and also didn't notice the mistake in page order! The reposters are cannibalizing each other! I am both very entertained and utterly baffled by the lack of effort! They're not even stealing things well!

Anyway, all this to say: I have managed to find the humor in this kind of situation, but I still do not appreciate people reposting my stuff, especially without credit. And general PSA that if you see my comics/artwork anywhere that is not here on my tumblr, or on my AO3 account forest_raccoon, that is not posted by me, and it has been done without my permission.
