Thank you ! I'm going to take the opportunity for a permanent answer post to this question since I've given the pattern in dozens of comments ever since I started posting about the project, but obviously that isn't a convenient way for people to find the information !

Tracery Vest by Kathleen Sperling aka Wipinsanity on Ravelry and on her own website

As you can see the shape of the garment itself is a bit different from what I did. The ribbing in the original makes for a nice fitted silhouette, but I'm quite short in the burst and not hourglass shaped at all, so I made some alterations. I reduced the corrugated ribbing to half of its length, and added a few rows of colourwork to close the ribbing lines into an archway pattern. Then, I added one repetition of the windows at the bottom of the pattern chart, before returning to the pattern instructions as if I'd just finished the ribbing section. I also changed the bind-off in pattern into a stretchy bind off in order to keep the armholes and neckline a little looser. I also added a central double decrease every other row for the vneck.

Hi! Once upon a time I saw your art with Konstantin and Lydia (I didn't know who it was then) and it touched me. I liked that the lady looked older. I've seen a lot of art with young lovers or if the man was older. But on the contrary… It inspired me. To be honest, I'm a little afraid of getting old. It may seem silly, but for some reason your art gave me the idea that you can find your happiness and become part of an adventure at an older age. And then I started playing dnd and fell in love with the world of Ravenloft. And now a year later I find your art again and now I know! And it made me so excited!! On that note though, I don't really know when I'll be able to open them again :( I was tentatively aiming at mid to late November, which ... kind of came and went so fast I didn't even notice. And that means I only have 2 more (busy) weeks before I leave to spend the holidays/new year's with my partner again and won't be able to draw, so I'm debating whether or not I should open them now and try to get as many done as I can (if any) before then, or wait until the new year so i can take my time 😩 decisions decisions......

I'd love for the show to include some of Vernon's POV in the first chapter, because it's such a funny and iconic introduction, and spend a bit longer on Harry's awful life at the Dursleys. Ron throwing hands with Malfoy. The twins shooting snowballs at the back of Quirrell's head. Also, PLEASE, an accurate depiction of the way Hermione deals with the Devil Snare. Do NOT cut Ron's "are you a witch or what?!" line again i'm begging!

OotP: Three words: Department 👏 of 👏Mysteries 👏 SHOW US ALL THE ROOMS, especially the Time Room (let us freak out about the baby-headed Deatheater!!!) and the Brain Room (let Ron Weasley get his sexy scars from being strangled by flying brain tentacles). Harry throwing hands with Malfoy. Harry and Ron making shit up for Divination class. Divination teacher Firenze (i know it doesn't bring a lot to the story but i want Hermione to call out Parvati about her horse fetish). Hermione cursing Marietta Edgecombe with acne spelling "SNITCH" on her forehead (again, probably won't happen as it's maybe too gross for tv but one can dream). Ginny and Harry bonding.

HBP: That one scene where Harry brutally assassinate a seed while Ron and Hermione are trying and spectacularly failing to arrange a date. The Gaunts memory and also the one where Voldemort comes back to Hogwarts and tries to get the DADA teaching gig.

DH: Harry's 17th birthday including the cake. Ron punching Malfoy in the face while invisible and yelling at him "that's the second time we save your life this evening arsehole". Potterwatch. Fred's death. Ron and Hermione's first kiss happening exactly as ridiculously as it did in the book. Harry calling Hermione "like a sister" and embracing Ron after his return. NOT showing us the trapped bit of Voldemort's soul in purgatory King's Cross, because not seeing it makes it scarier.

One of the pros about being a sentient human being in the mid-to-late 2000s is that I got to experience older brother core in its prime. In all its edgy, axe body spray scented glory.

haven’t played through the whole Lucanis questline yet, so this isn’t a fully informed opinion, but it kills me that they went with a Jekyll-and-Hyde-style possession instead of something like Anders-Justice. We can let Lucanis' city to burn and the guy is possessed by SPITE.... So much drama to fit in there... babes. we should not just accept this as normal and okay and healthy. analyze why it’s so absurd and confusing to you for someone to suggest maybe you should value your friends and maybe you don’t need to have a hierarchy of relationships. friendships are indeed not static, but “i have a romantic partner so now you don’t matter” isn’t the natural and normal ebbs and flows of friendship, it’s the amatonormative belief that friends are only important until romance comes into the picture—that friendship is a mere placeholder for the real thing.

(ever notice how common it is in media for someone to have an established “best friend” but then that title goes to their romantic partner to emphasize their elevated importance? this is a reflection of the belief that your romantic partner not only has to be the most important relationship, but should also encompass all kinds of relationships within it—your sexual/romantic partner and best friend wrapped in one—an approach to relationships that ultimately dooms both platonic and romantic relationships by “expecting too little” from the former and “expecting too much” from the latter. also, if “best friend” is less than “spouse,” why is it imperative that your spouse also be your best friend?)

the implication of folks being clingy or codependent or unrealistic for wanting their friends to not sideline their relationship of years for a romantic partner they met two seconds ago is the problem. we should be making time and space in our lives for all of our relationships, not just the romantic ones. because that’s what it is healthy and fair. and if you sideline your friends to make your romantic relationship the center of your world, only to realize that your romantic partner can’t possibly (and shouldn’t have to) fill all of your needs and you actually need friends in your life in a meaningful way, well, don’t expect them to have just been waiting around for you to realize their value.

and realize that this isn’t just a thing on a personal level. it’s not as simple as "oh your best friend prioritizes her husband over you? just make him your new best friend too! problem solved!" it’s bigger than that. romantic relationships, particularly marriages, are systematically privileged over other relationships: “amatonormativity intersects with other forms of oppression, especially gay and lesbian oppression and women’s oppression, to impose steep costs. amatonormativity is itself systematic in a way characteristic of oppression: legal penalties and discrimination interlock with social pressures and discrimination, stereotyping in the media, workplace discrimination, consumer pricing, and children’s education.” statistics show that married couples are less connected to their friends, family, and community than those who are single, and that not having a network of relationships outside of romance can lead to poorer health outcomes. this is more than your attempts to make people look ridiculous for being upset that their friend's spouse comes before them.

and more importantly, realize that romance being the most important kind of love is a modern concept. there are point in history and different cultures where platonic relationships were not so degraded—where they were treated with the love and passion and care and prioritization that has now come to be reserved for romantic love; where they were considered and treated as beloved family, not disposable side characters; where they would take on roles now only associated with family or spouses; where they were even referred to with language now considered exclusively romantic. so the argument of “of course romantic partners come first, that’s just how life is” doesn't hold up. that’s “how it is” because that’s how people make it. it is not naturally occurring; it doesn’t just play out like that.

we can change it if we so choose. if you don’t want your friends to have such importance in your life, just say that. don’t try to rewrite history or make people out to be dramatic or too much for wanting the people in their lives to value them. (and even if you don’t want that for your life, you should not only full heartedly support others doing so, but also advocate for changes that allow others to live the lives they want without unnecessary societal and legal barriers.)

if anyone is interested, minimizing marriage: morality, marriage, and the law by elizabeth brake (the book “amatonormativity” is coined in) and the other significant others: reimagining life with friendship at the center by rhaina cohen are good reads on this topic.
