It’s almost claustrophobic the way Sydney cages you in, between your school seat and the wall behind you. Back flush to the wall. 

She must've been waiting for the opportunity, considering your height difference.

Her face is incredibly close and so different from the usual dreamy smile that’s directed at you. 

Dark purple, almost black hair drapes around you like a curtain.

The contrast to her usual self unnerves you a bit. you repress the urge to shiver. 

She inches even closer, so slowly you'd think she mistook you for some skittish animal.

An almost predatory smile twitches against her lips again, before she plants a slow kiss to your cheek. 

“Hello Beloved, I thought I should visit you after you’ve been so busy avoiding me”.

You keep looking at her, eyebrows furrowed, stony silence. She goes on:

“Just wanted to remind my partner who she belongs to. 

We’re promised to each other after all”. She pauses and everything inside you starts to tenses up.

Her languid pace dissipates the moment she rips your shirt open with surprising strength. 

The loose buttons you had wanted to mend later, popping right off. You flinch. Not from shock but the conscious effort to stop your reflexes. To keep yourself from instinctively lashing out.

A low chuckle escapes Sydney.

“Awe don't hold yourself back on my account, Dee. Not after you’ve already hit me once. You know I can take it” Her left hand wanders from the desk you sit at, to your thigh. 

idly stroking it. playing with the hem of your skirt. you keep your gaze on her as apprehension sneaks into the back of your mind. What the fuck did you do to Sydney? You truly hadn’t expected her to react this way, you thought she would’ve been happier with your suggestion. You coerced her into depravity after all.

You still don’t trust your voice to come out right but right as you are about to speak- something flashes over Sydney's face and she bites down on the crook of your neck. 

You successfully squash your instincts once more. It feels weird. You never had to suppress your fight instinct near Sydney before. Hadn't needed them with her in the first place.

The ghost of a smile caresses your skin. Sydney's bite hurts but it's tolerable compared to past injuries you’ve had. You can hold out, it could be worse.

Time seems to slow as she sucks several hickies into your shoulder and cleavage. lovingly punctuated by harsh bites. 

You’re glad you decided to buy that spiked choker so many months ago or your throat would probably share the same fate. 

it's irritating how easily your body reacts to her. You keep perfectly still, clenching your teeth to ground yourself.

You feel a bit short of breath once Sydney finally shoves off of you to stalk away, with the same warm smile she usually sports around you.

I Just read a 50 CHAPTER FIC. of val x reader. it was fucking insane. lots of non/con and r@pe, which sadly is so in charecter. blood play was in there but i do kinda freak with that, anyways continueing on the story was fucking insane. 10/10 would not reccomend

imo the argument that sukuna's final battle is good, it's just a battle of attrition, falls short because imo it's just not that entertaining of a concept. i guess it could be done well but i think it's tricky to keep up in a shounen story and in practice it's resulted in the showdown being pretty repetitive

Literally flew off his chair. Chan had to tell him to quiet down cause he was the loudest out of all the crowds and auidence's applauses. You stopped wondering why you two have dating rumours long ago.

Didn't even reach home yet and he praised you. After the Awards Show when you both met back up in the car, he kissed you on the cheek (not on the lips just incase anyone was spying on you). "I knew you could do it, gorgeous.."

FELIX:

Takes dating rumours very seriously, so he didn't overdo it when you're name got called. His eyes literally sparkled and he clapped vigorously, pearly whites on display.

"Damn..with the way you're looking at her..no wonder STAY had their suspicions about you.."

When you got home, he congratulated and praised you soo much. "Strawberry, I knew you could do it.."

You both sat on the couch, rewatching the MAMA live recording. Teased him for how he smiled when he heard your name for Artist Of The Year. You were so thankful the screen had changed to him.

"Lixie..we spoke about this, hm? What would STAY think of you smiling like an idiot just because I won?"

SEUNGMIN:

Didn't react at all. Even the rest of Stray Kids were shocked. "Seungmin-ah, I know you both agreed on keeping the relationship a secret..but seriously? You're not even gonna clap for her..?" Chan whispered to him. All eight of them had gotten familiar with you, and they know you'd be heartbroken if you were rewatching the MAMA live recording only to see Seungmin with a stupid poker face.

This was, until, you had said the show stopping part of your speech, where not even Seungmin could keep his face straight.

"And lastly, aside from my VOICES (your fandom name), there has been someone else who stayed up with me for countless nights, fighting sleep just to be with me in my studio, re-recording songs and practicing choreographies with me. "

Your eyes flickered up to the crowd, immediately finding Seungmin's, before you looked back down at the audience.

"My dear, dear, boyfriend..Seungmin of Stray Kids, none of this would be possible if it weren't for you." And you ended your speech with half a heart against your cheek and the small korean heart in your other hand. (Like yall know how the idols do it right😭😭😭)

Ofcourse, there was dead silence. Before the audience practicaly roared. Cheers upon cheers upon cheers. You couldn't even hear yourself think.

Seungmin was flabbergasted. The night prior, you had asked him what he thought about making the relationship public. He wasn't against the idea, but he didn't think you'd actually do it.

Literally so happy. He couldn't contain his excitement. Had an excuse for being so elated. Aside from dating, you guys were friends since trainee days.

"Ofcourse, thanks to my lovely....friend! I.N. of Stray Kids, my biggest help. Never stopped supported me, ever since trainee days. You and the boys deserve this more than me, ba- Jeongin-ah!"

Teased you soooo much after. You almost exposed their relationship twice. Had such a huge blush on his face, though. The screen changed to him at the same time, he had almost got caught smiling like an idiot.

LEAVING ASIDE the nonsense that was the marketing for these films, how do you feel about the songs Taylor released on the THG soundtrack?

oh i love them!! i actually think eyes open is the superior hunger games song of the two and i think it's a brilliant interpolation of taylor's own relationship with fame projected onto katniss in a way that i think highlights just how incisive the commentary of THG is -- like "everybody's waiting for you to break down/everybody's watching to see the fall out" could easily be on a track like the lucky one and it clearly reflects a lot of taylor's own anxieties about fame and celebrity -- but the fact that it maps so perfectly onto katniss is just like MWAH! perfection. and it's just proof that suzanne collins tapped into a VERY real set of feelings and ideas about fame and living under intense scrutiny. and the hunger games-y lyrics are SO GOOD bc they feel natural but also are so specific and cool: i love "keep your aim locked the night grows dark" like YES LOVE IT.

to expand on that honestly... i think that line eyes open in particular is proof to me that a lot of great songwriting comes out of using stories that are not your own. i think another great example of this is olivia rodrigo. like don't get me wrong: i LOVE deja vu. i think it's a pretty perfect pop song honestly. but "can't catch me now" is SUCH A GOOD SONG. it has imo a some of her best songwriting on it, because i feel like it gave her new metaphors to explore and made the lyrics and the music feel fresh -- like "there's snow falling over the city, you thought that it would wash away the bitter taste of my fury and all of the messes you made" is a BRILLIANT line! like to me, it's leagues above "i used to think i was smart but you made me look so naive" (i could write an essay on my feelings on vampire honestly but that's just one example) (like i really genuinely enjoyed guts a LOT -- but it did start to get repeptitive, only being about heartbreak and insecurity. yeah those feelings are rich and layered! but i also like the song about falling in love with a future fascist dictator and then disappearing into the woods a la wordsworth and existing in a perpetual state of unreality for the rest of time. like that one was really good too! (another side note is that she has that one unreleased song on her instagram inspired by twilight -- and it's also like, wonderfully written. like yes olivia, free yourself from the need to be a diaristic songwriter and just write insane fandom songs. PLEASE.)) (i felt the same way about "what was i made for?" -- like that song is PERFECTION in the way it maps so perfectly onto the metaphors and images of the barbie movie and yet it stands alone as a great song as well. low key i wished wwimf and ccmn had been released in two dif years because i wanted them both to get the best original song oscar. just incredible work by our gen z pop girlies.)

and to go on and on MORE... all of this is why i think the taylor swift effect in pop music has been like... honestly a net negative for a lot of artists honestly. like music doesn't NEED to be about gossipy personal details to be good! don't get me wrong, i love the way we get to dive into "taylor's diary" and i think it's the reason i still love so many of her personal songs -- bc they feel like various entries into the experience of growing up as a lonely little girl and trying to understand your place in the world. and exploring the evolution of her personal relationships over the years is really cool and makes for a fascinating body of work to dive into and analyze. but also... sometimes songs are still good even when they're NOT intrinsically tied to the personal life of the singer! like nobody cares if "toxic" is about justin timberlake or kevin federline or whatever -- it's just a great fucking song and it doesn't matter that it's britney singing it, except in that her vocal delivery and performance style lends itself to that banger of a track! (AND THIS IS TRUE FOR TAYLOR TOO! i've said often she does her best work when she's fantasizing -- "you belong with me" is inspired by a phone call. "august" is a completely pretend story. "death by a thousand cuts" is about a movie. like those are some of her best songs!! and it's at least in part because they feel expansive and fresh because they're NOT ABOUT HER!)

anyway my point is not to say that diaristic songwriting is bad or that i don't like it -- because i really DO, i love looking at the connections between taylor songs across albums and eras and analyzing how she ties certain images or phrases to certain muses and tracking the evolution of her relationship to life and love over the years. but i also just think she's a good songwriter -- so when she writes songs about other stuff... it's interesting and cool. i wish she'd do more of it haha

The audience is basically in the role of someone who has access to all police records and data while they are following the entire mystery investigation. The key is that the story will switch POV between three siblings in as they each tell their part of the story in first person. There will be different POV of the same scene as well as apart. 

All of them will intentionally lie and omit the truth at points. There are also mistaken truths. There are also a lot of possible truths and uncertainty as well. Therefore inconsistency is important to my story where picking about the story will be the key to finding out the truth.

As the investigation progresses, the audience will start uncovering things piece by piece. New information that amends the scenario will keep on changing and start showing the real POV of those siblings that’s been discovered and at each time a sibling changes their story.

It goes on until they have the real POV of each sibling and when the stories are all consistent.

It kind of feels that there is a lot of repetition in this story. Is that too much?

But i want it to feel like following the investigation real time. This is what happened. Wait, no, amend that. This is what happened. Wait no, the stories are still inconsistent. So this happened instead. Nope, it’s still not matching up. So this actually happened… etc etc.

The only question you’ve actually asked here is “It kind of feels that there is a lot of repetition in this story. Is that too much?”

To which, the only answer I can give is I don’t know: if you want to have that much repeptition in your story, then you have to make sure it is interesting.

One little nitpick, though, the audience is not doing any investigating or discovering, the Narrator is doing that. You can’t decide what the audience is doing, only what you are showing them via your characters and narrative voice.

I’d suggest reading detective fiction that uses truth and lies as part of the mystery, so you might want to try:

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, by Agatha Christie

Death on the Nile, by Agatha Christie

(Actualy, a lot of Agatha Christie’s novels have this kind of thing)

Penhallow, by Georgette Heyer
