I think so many people are so deeply alienated from themselves that they have no clue how to exercise their free will and autonomy. For some, this alienation runs so deep that they are afraid of their own autonomy and humanity. It is completely understandable why one would have those feelings, but it can be worrisome.
I want to help others who feel this way, so here are small things I have done to exercise my free will:
Add "guilty pleasure" songs to playlists and actually listen to them (I have a ton of late 1990s-early 2000s music I listen to now proudly that I never listened to in the past out of shame)
Getting the décor item, bath set, bed spread, ect. in the patterns you like, even if it's "childish" (I got a dinosaur-themed wastebasket from the kids' décor section and I adore it)
Taking a new route to get to a place you go to often
Eat dessert first
Celebrate well, and often
Collect things that are "odd" or don't seem like an "acceptable" thing to collect (somebody on my "for you" page collects dandelion crayola crayons and it was so cool!!!!!!)
Incorporate one new piece in an outfit you wear frequently (e.g., a new chain, a necklace, ribbons, bracelets, ect.). Challenge yourself to add onto the outfits if you feel up for it.
Sing along to songs without worrying that you sound "good" or your intonation is completely accurate
Read a book from a genre you weren't allowed to read as a kid (comics, thrillers, mysteries, anything!)
Walk without having a specific destination or goal
Pick up a new craft without expecting yourself to master it or to ever be "good" enough. Get your hands messy.
I don't want to shame anybody for not feeling as though they have free will or that they are exempt from exercising it. However, I wanted to give ideas so that you might read this list and find your own ways to express your intrinsic autonomy and will. You deserve to be a person, to feel alive, not just living. That is what our lives are for.
#mental health#mental health support#positivity#if anybody has ideas of their own definitely include them!#i just think being stuck with this feeling that you don't have autonomy and that you ultimately aren't an equal person or a person at all..#...in comparison to other people can be a really troubling and dangerous place to be in...#...and that isn't the person's fault for feeling that way. they didn't pluck those thoughts out of thin air...#...like i have felt that exact way all my LIFE because i have been abused for. probably 2/3s of my life...#...only within these past few years have i even FELT alive. frankly it's going to take a while to repair what i have been left with...#...so i know the feeling and i want to help others feel even a LITTLE bit alive. you deserve it...#...you deserve to take in a deep breath before slowly realizing 'oh my gd this is what it feels like to be alive' and SMILE about it#i want that for you even if it is brief. even if it is small. even if it is a whisper. i want you to feel alive#unironically getting rid of the idea of 'guilty pleasures' has made my life SO much better

Sailor the Teddy Bear
Sailor the teddy bear's person wrote a month or so ago. Sailor himself was in pretty good shape, except for some small eye issues, but his clothes had worn to the point that she wanted them replaced, and she figured he should enjoy a spa while he was in California as well.
Here isSailor's diagnosis photo:
Now the eye issue which isn't quite clear, is his eyes were a bit off kilter. When he came to the hospital and was getting prepped for his spa, I found the reason -- the post of his right eye (left in the photo) was broken off inside and his eye had been glued into place. Fortunately, as you'll see, we were able to restore his vision to 20/20.
Also, in addition to a new outfit for Sailor, his person was hoping for one of those sailor cape/collars to go over his shoulders, matching the color of his pants and hat. He was to keep his original hat, but the trim at the back needed a bit of repair.
Here's Sailor in his bubble bath:
And here's his heart being made and installed with a bit of his original stuffing:
And finally, here's Sailor all better and ready to fly home! A few things to note about his new clothes --- the shirt and pants are one piece, just like the original. They close with a snap at the top, but have a decorative button where the snap is, that matches the small striped area on the front of his shirt. His new collar/cape is removable as well. You can also see the chubbiness testing photo, where I'm poking his belly (I don't show this usually). This is where his person had the chance to add feedback to adjust his stuffing if needed.
Sailor's person approved and he flew home to Michigan. BTW, he flew both ways with an airtag in his box, so his person knew exactly where he was at all times. The funniest thing with airtag patients is the air tag makes a jingly sound when it moves, so every time I move an air tag patient's bed, I have to remind myself that they don't have internal bells, that's their tracker. :-)
Anyway, Sailor made it home safe and sound and his person wrote:
"He's perfect omg ; ; I can't thank you enough"

my favorite thing about advanced gay is jeffâs reaction to pierceâs switch up on gay people like how are you to tell me that is not EXACTLY how a closeted person who knows theyâre closeted (im looking at you troy barnes) would react in that situation. everyone else just thinks itâs a little silly and fun to be momentarily involved in gay culture but he is offended because he gets it đ there is literally no way to watch advanced gay and not come out of it knowing that is the most bisexual character ever presented on television
#this episode seriously means so much to me#it tells you so much about ALL of the characters#abed being the one to find the drag queenâs video#and in SECONDS#and also being the only one to have no real reaction to pierceâs switch up#because that boy is OUT he does not give a fuck#troy having to choose between air coniditioning repair#which heâs been told he SHOULD want#and plumbing#which he ACTUALLY enjoys#annie being so so so into the idea of participating in gay culture#but trying to keep herself on the back burner#because sheâs scared#because sheâs GAY#theyâre all GAY#is my point here#and this episode is just so obvious about it#and oh britta#sheâs there#my love#community nbc#nbc community#jeff winger#pierce hawthorne#troy barnes#abed nadir#britta perry#annie edison#trobed#advanced gay

Bruce is off world and Cass snaps.
She cuts the feed to the cave, traps each of them in a separate holding cell, and truth serums them.
She is sick and tired of them lying to each other, lying to themselves.
Once and for all, she wants them to just talk to each other.
Jason is the easiest one to start talking, heâs been the only one talking about anything close to honest the whole time. Sure, usually itâs yelling about it on a rooftop but now itâs yelling about it in the cave. He fights talking about the good memories because they hurt more than the bad ones.
Damian has the fewest grievances. He hasnât been around long enough to have years worth of issues, and most of it stems from the same problem.
Dick and Tim are actually the biggest problems.
Tim has the most to talk about. Heâs angry with all of them. Jason and Damian are the most obvious, but he has just as many grievances with Dick if not more. They have all hurt him, not accepted him, rejected him. He isolates rather than talking to any of them about this because every time he objects to how heâs treated itâs like heâs breaking the family. He should be thankful Jasonâs back at all or that Damian isnât trying to kill him. If he says anything it sends them both into spirals that makes them avoid the family and then itâs his fault, so he leaves as much as he can.
Dick is the most brutal. They all look up to him, even if they donât want to admit it. He proved it could be done. And every single one of them got a Bruce that already used him as a practice run of having kids. He is expected to handle it, to leash his anger, to be more open than Bruce. And he does it, but the level to which itâs a performance? Only Cass and Bruce have a real inkling to how much heâs acting. Jason saw more of it than he should have before he died, but even he wasnât actually prepared for Dickâs honest thoughts on all of them.
Jason: Dick never wanted me here, Tim picked up the mantle as though nothing had changed, and Damian is the most judgmental and least experienced. I no longer have the innocence I did as Robin because the world has proven that morality doesnât protect you. I cannot give up my ideologies for emotional vulnerability with people who do not care, it got me killed once and itâll kill me again.
Damian: I was told my worth here was based on my sole existence. To have to unlearn my upbringing while surrounded by others that challenge my worth and place in this family is a level of vulnerability I will do anything to avoid.
Tim: Jason tried to kill me, Damian tried to kill me, and Dick doesnât care. Every single thing I have accomplished has been in spite of my supposed brothers, who have only distrusted or hurt me. If I point this out, it is my fault for driving them away no matter how much they hurt me.
Dick: Jason died, Tim asked me to be Robin, took it for himself, Jason tried to kill Tim and Bruce, and Damian lashes out at every available opportunity and somehow this is my fucking problem. I did not sign up to be a parent or even a brother. I am not responsible for their decisions. I agreed to be responsible for teammates and missions, not the emotional vulnerability of a family I never asked for. I handle myself and they should be capable of dealing with their own problems without dragging me into them. They arenât. I was an only child and had the responsibility of being a parent thrust on me when I never agreed to it. I have my own life and my own problems that take a back burner to anything else in this godforsaken family. I moved away and am still fucking here.
But even talking to each other like this canât solve everything. Because for as upset as they are with each other, itâs Bruce that theyâre actually upset with.
#batman#jason todd#bruce wayne#dick grayson#redhood#tim drake#damian wayne#nightwing#cassandra cain#cass thinks this will finally clear the air and theyâll be able to move on but actually itâs just worse#they have all fucked up but saying it like this and being forced to say what you think of others detaches you from caring about them#making the choice to be honest is a step towards repairing something but admitting to everyone how theyâve hurt you doesnât mean they#want to do better or care that theyâve hurt you and it takes all of them a long time to want to speak to each other again#bruce comes back and canât figure out why everyone isnât speaking and at first he thinks itâs better than all the fighting but the fighting#was because they cared and sure maybe missions go faster and bruce thinks this is what a well oiled machine should look like but thatâs all#it is: a machine and not a family not anymore#when they do finally try and fix things amongst themselves it starts with yelling at bruce and only then can they really work on healing

When you operate a small farm, stuff happens and ya gotta stop and repair, replace or recycle whatâs broken. Itâs not always easy and it definitely is a time commitment, however, it still remains a blessing because during the downtime, lessons are learned.

incidents Iâve had with Riverdale cast members:
attending the Nathan For You live show, sitting ready in my seat, only to see Camila Mendes and Gay Kevin heading my way. Camila politely said âexcuse meâ so I could let her pass to get to her seat and I pretended not to be starstruck
shopping for art supplies at an Opus store when I was suddenly overcome with a sick, heavy sensation of pure dread throughout my entire body. turned to my left and saw Cole Sprouse browsing the acrylic paints
#t#Riverdale#technically there was another Cole Sprouse incident before the Riverdale pilot even aired#where my high school class was on a field trip to an Indigeous Art gallery and he walked into the room while a staff member was presenting#and instantly distracted the room of teenagers beyond repair#but I wonât count it since is was pre Riverdale

okay but i need ALL of the fics that take place during crozier getting sober. like i feel like there is SO much potential here bc it is THEE biggest turning point for him! esp with regards to fitzjames and their relationship. like fitzjames seeing crozier's choice to sober up as this huge defining moment, one that ultimately and unequivocally earns his respect (back, really, because he DID have respect for crozier at first, before he met him. and now he sees that that respect wasnt misgiven, not really). and like the way this choice is what causes the first crack in james' mask around crozier! ugh it's just DELICIOUS.
#i just want to see ALL of the fics where james sits by francis' bedside while hes sleeping uneasily#ALL the fics where james takes care of francis#ALL the fics where james takes that first step towards repairing their relationship#perhaps apologizing â not for having called franics out because that was needed but for the way he did it.#stooping so low as to use sir john's words against him only sharper#maybe james holding francis' clammy hand while he sleeps fitfully and whispering to him about the way he'd hoped francis would be when they#met and how now he thinks that may still be possible because he knows franics must be a good man beneath the drink#maybe the first conversation the two of them have with francis clear headed and hes already holding himself differently â more assuredly#more confident and yet softer around the edges too#and they clear the air between them too#idk im just rambling now but#I JUST LOVE THIS PERIOD FOR THEM OKAY#there is SO much potential#that being said fjdkskd if yall got any recs PLEASE send em my way (they could be for smth like this or anything really!!)#the terror#fitzier#francis crozier#james fitzjames

look genshin, it was cartoony logic the first few times you had a villain turn out to have a giant secret underground lair for their secret evil experiments, but a giant floating workshop powered by magic flame hot air balloons???
#txt#playing genshin#underground caves ok if theyre there and a villain has access it makes sense#but??? a GIANT HOT AIR BALLOON WORKSHOP????#ther would be no henchmen just like 5mil mechanics making sure that thing didnt FALL DOWN#literally tho the head villain being one of the tribe leaders why did she float the workshop over the tribe... the ocean is like right there#making the villain be the previously introduced reasonable female leader against the spunky female teenager (again) was not cool#also they are always so tacky about characterizing nonhuman characters... making the quasis CHEEEP???#pokemon grawrs really set the bar#also the idea that chasca would know the mechanics of a hotair ballon by virtue of riding a flying gun is kindof hilarious#that like saying someone who can repair an ac can repair a computer cause they both have the little fan cooler things#or maybe the other way around? a gun is a little more complicated than a hot air balloon even wo considering the magical flying part lmao

How User-Generated Content Can Highlight the Importance of Alignment Service for Your Vehicle
Introduction:
In todayâs digital age, user-generated content (UGC) plays an influential role in shaping consumer perceptions and decisions. This is especially true in the automotive industry, where reviews, social media posts, and online testimonials provide valuable insights into services like alignment. Alignment service, while often overlooked, is essential for vehicle safety, performance, and tire longevity. In this blog post, we'll explore how user-generated content is shedding light on the importance of alignment service and why drivers should pay attention to the real-life experiences of others.
1. The Power of User-Generated Content in Automotive Services
User-generated content has become one of the most trusted sources of information for consumers. When it comes to alignment services, online reviews, customer testimonials, and social media posts provide first-hand accounts of real drivers who have experienced the benefits (or consequences of neglect) of proper wheel alignment. These insights help potential customers make informed decisions based on the experiences of their peers.
When drivers share their stories about how alignment service improved their vehicle's performance or solved issues like uneven tire wear, it creates a ripple effect. Others start to realize that regular alignment checks aren't just an add-onâthey are crucial for maintaining a safe and efficient vehicle. This type of content helps demystify alignment services for those who may not be familiar with them.
2. Real-Life Testimonials: How Alignment Service Made a Difference
One of the most compelling aspects of user-generated content is the ability to hear directly from people who have benefited from alignment services. For example, drivers often share stories about how their vehicles were pulling to one side, causing steering issues, and how an alignment service immediately resolved the problem.
Consider this testimonial from an actual driver shared on a review platform:
"I was having trouble with my car constantly pulling to the right. After doing some research, I decided to go in for an alignment service. The difference was immediateâmy steering felt more responsive, and the car drove in a straight line without any effort on my part. I didnât realize how much of an impact misalignment was having on my driving experience."
These types of personal stories highlight how alignment service can drastically improve vehicle handling and overall safety. They resonate with drivers who may be experiencing similar issues, encouraging them to seek out the same service for their own vehicles.
3. Before and After: Visual UGC and Alignment Service Impact
Visual content, such as before-and-after photos or videos, also plays a significant role in showcasing the importance of alignment service. Platforms like Instagram and YouTube are filled with user-generated posts that show the transformation of vehicles after a proper alignment. Drivers often share pictures of their uneven tire wear before an alignment, followed by after-service photos that show even tire treads.
These visual testimonials offer compelling evidence of how neglecting alignment can lead to long-term damage. A video of a customer explaining how their carâs performance improved after the service can be especially powerful, offering an authentic, relatable perspective for viewers.
For example, a popular post on a car maintenance forum might show a picture of a tire with excessive wear on one side, captioned:
"I didnât realize my carâs misalignment was wearing down my tires so badly until I saw this. Got an alignment service last week, and my car drives like new again!"
This type of content visually communicates the tangible benefits of alignment services, making it clear that alignment impacts not just handling, but also tire longevity and overall vehicle health.
4. Online Reviews and Ratings: Building Trust in Alignment Services
Online review platforms such as Yelp, Google Reviews, and Facebook are filled with user-generated content about various car services, including alignment checks. These reviews provide an honest and unfiltered look at the experiences customers have had at local repair shops. Positive reviews often highlight how professional technicians identified and corrected alignment issues that the driver may not have been aware of.
For instance, a review might read:
"I went in for a tire rotation and the technician suggested I get an alignment service. I was skeptical at first, but after the alignment, my car stopped pulling to the left and my tires are wearing more evenly. Definitely worth it!"
By sharing these experiences, customers help to establish trust in alignment services and the auto shops that offer them. Potential customers can make informed decisions based on the reviews of others who have faced similar issues, strengthening the reputation of alignment services as a necessary part of vehicle maintenance.
5. Social Media Engagement: Drivers Sharing Alignment Service Experiences
Social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook are full of user-generated content where drivers share their vehicle maintenance journeys. Hashtags such as #CarAlignment or #WheelAlignmentService brings attention to posts where drivers document their experiences. This type of UGC has a significant impact on spreading awareness about alignment services and how they can drastically improve vehicle performance.
For example, one Instagram post might show a driver at the auto shop with a caption like:
"Getting my alignment checked today! Can't believe how much smoother my car feels already."
These casual, real-time updates engage followers and promote alignment services organically. When friends, family, or followers see these posts, they are more likely to consider getting an alignment check for their own vehicles.
6. Learning from Others: UGC Guides and DIY Alignment Advice
User-generated content doesnât just come in the form of reviews and testimonials; it also includes how-to videos and tutorials. Many automotive enthusiasts share their knowledge about how alignment works, why it's important, and what drivers can do to maintain their vehicle between professional services. While professional alignment services are always recommended, UGC content provides educational value that helps drivers understand the alignment process.
For instance, a popular YouTube creator might explain:
"While itâs always best to get a professional alignment service, hereâs how you can check for signs of misalignment at home."
These types of posts build awareness and empower drivers to take proactive steps, reinforcing the importance of professional alignment services.
Conclusion:
User-generated content has become an invaluable resource for drivers looking to understand the importance of alignment service. Whether itâs through reviews, testimonials, social media posts, or instructional videos, UGC offers real-life examples of how proper alignment impacts vehicle safety, performance, and cost savings. By sharing their experiences, drivers create a community that spreads awareness about this often-overlooked service, helping others realize that alignment checks are crucial for long-term vehicle health.
In a world where trust is often built on the experiences of peers, user-generated content is playing a critical role in encouraging drivers to take alignment services seriously, ensuring that vehicles remain safe and efficient on the road.
