In honor of both Sirens of the Deep and The Witcher 4 being announced, I made a Renfri art page! Shes been my favorite character for so long now that not only did she deserve one, but I just really missed drawing her😭

When drawing Renfri I like to mix both her show design(my favorite), with her canon and book designs. In the comic, Renfri has a purple outfit that I adore on her, and in the books, she has blue eyes.

There are two deaths that I wish the showrunners had written out of the show. Mainly because they were either totally pointless or they hurt me to my soul, the only reason Im making this is because they killed characters that never died in the books, they could PLEASE STOP KILLING MY FAVES.

Renfri and Tissaia. Renfri made me angry, Everything that ever happened to her could have been avoided, her death was meaningless and only happened to give trauma to geralt, who knew her maybe a day and then acted like he was the most affected by it. I wish she had survived, or at least had a more impactful role in the story

Tissaias made me uncontrollably sob. That death scene hit me so close to home that it scares me, The woman who until this point has been a boulder in the way of everything falling apart watching her friends and family be killed around her, and loosing herself completely when there was nothing she could do.

I miss her so much.

i’m rereading the renfri fic and i realized that we see fredefalk’s explanation for basically fleeing creyden (pathetic little coward 😠) but we never see what happened in hengfors- did grzegorz have a good reason for not sending him back to yspaden? or was he just not paying that much attention? (thank you forever and ever for blessing us with so much incredible writing, rereading your entire body of work is the only thing keeping me sane around my family for the holidays ���)

I think Grzegorz looked at the tax rolls from Creyden and went, "Well, seems to be running alright, and it's handy having Fredefalk around whenever I need him, guess he's got a competent wife," and got on with his life.

Jaskier has only a few memories of his sister. He recalls her giving him the nickname "Jaskier"; initially, she called him a weed. He remembers discussions about a curse, something related to an eclipse and their birth.

He also remembers being told he was lucky to have been born a boy; that was the last time he saw his sister. A few months later, his stepmother sent him to Lettenhove, and soon after, he ran away to Oxenfurt to become a bard.

When Jaskier began his career as a traveling bard, he had two reasons: he hated the idea of being trapped in court for the rest of his life, and he was searching for his sister. When Geralt and Jaskier meet, the witcher can't help but notice something familiar about the bard. When Jaskier confides that he's been looking for his twin sister for a long time, Geralt wonders if he has met her at some point.

What Geralt doesn't know is that Jaskier's real name is Prince Julian of Creyden, Renfri's twin. Neither does Jaskier know that his sister is dead, nor that Geralt was the one who killed her. But when Stregobor begins to take an interest in Jaskier, believing that the boy born during the black sun might not have escaped the curse, secrets are bound to be revealed.
