He had no time to argue. Had no time at all, really, before he was being yanked down into Remus and lips were being feverishly pressed to his. It shouldn’t have felt good. Maddock shouldn’t have enjoyed it. Not when his baby sister had been upstairs all nigh sobbing into her pillow for the boy next door and one of her dearest friends. He should have told Remus to go home. That it wasn’t safe  here either That the McKinnons were high up on Voldemort’s to do list and he feared that he didn’t have long left in this world.

He melted into the kiss for a moment. Let himself forget the terrible things that were still fresh in his mind. Large hands cupped Remus’ face and he turned and pinned the lad to the door, whimpering at the soft nips that were given. Pressed up against him and fuck did it feel good to feel something other than pain and sorrow.

But he pulled back, eyes dark and breath heavy and he shook his head after a long moment. “We can’t,” Maddock breathed, defeated. “Not like this, Rem. Not here. S’not me ya want anyway.”

             “You’re a prefect,” she noted, arms crossing over her chest as she gave him a judgmental look. “So how is it that all your friends end up in detention?” Not that she didn’t mind his presence when he joined her in the library, but she couldn’t help but wonder.

That’s a terribly dangerous question to ask this particular boy. He wants to use just about everything he sees for some reason or another. The mistletoe itself had about twenty three uses off the top of his head that he would like to use it for.

But it’s tradition. And Xenophilius is trying very hard to remember that Christmas ball traditions are special for some reason.

So he smiles back at Remus and presses a quick kiss to his cheek.

“You’re kinda bossy for a bloke who just used the word fancy in relation to me.” James mumbled, shooting him a cheeky wink only to really fucking regret it when it hurt his nose. “Why do you fancy me when i’m bleeding and not when I’m at my best? You’ve got some weird fucking kinks Moons.”

He was drunk. Really fucking drunk, which was actually really lucky considering he couldn’t feel the pain from his nose or wherever else those blokes had managed to sucker punch. Honestly, who the fuck did they think they were? Bad mouthing werewolves all casual like where anyone could hear? James truly believed that they wanted a broken nose, there was no other explanation for that kind of blatant behaviour. They were masochists, who wanted him to beat the shit out of them.

Only, James was a pretty good fighter. He could throw a punch, he was strong and tall and he played sports. But he was also drunk, and when drunk was not the best time to take on a couple of blokes at once and remain an uninjured victor. It hadn’t been a raging success, but James had heard the crack of a broken nose beneath his knuckles, so he was pretty content with his achievements.

“What’re we talking about tomorrow?” James muttered, frowning as he attempted a pout in Moony’s direction. “Cause I’m gonna be hungover as fuck tomorrow you see, I have plans to feel sorry for myself for around eight hours. I just dunno if you’re gonna be able to fit a lecture into my busy schedule.”

He paused, holding back a grin before he continued.

“I’m also not fucking sorry….” he shrugged, “So there’s that.”

“Gonna rip his bloody head off with my bare hands!” Her own hands went into her hair and she let out a muffled shriek. She adored James, she really did. Hard not to when they’d been vacationing together since they were both in nappies, but this, this, was far too much.

“He took off with tha last bit of my Dittany because he was too proud ta ask!” A full on pout and she collapsed into a nearby chair. Merlin only knew what he was going to get himself into that he even needed that, she didn’t even want to know to be honest. If James Potter was stupid enough to get himself hurt, he deserved it. “Took me six months ta grow it proper, now I have ta start all over again.”

It was just the three of them now, and the only one who wanted to keep the holiday spirit alive when everyone was dead was Marlene. He glanced up at the sprig above his head, magically stuck to the door frame no doubt and he gave a small chuckle. He didn’t laugh often these days- it felt good. Remus standing there expectantly also felt good. He remembered that too brief kiss they shared and how good it felt too.

Maddock took a step closer and then another. Left it so there was so little space between them and a hand came to rest on the younger man’s hip. “She’s a meddler- my sister.” His mouth quirked into a smile and cautiously he brought his head down to brush his nose against Remus’ and gave him a soft kiss. His other hand coming up and cupping Remus’ cheek and he let the kiss linger just long enough. Let his breath mingle with Remus’ and gave a teasing nip to his lower lip. “Thank Merlin fer that.”

THE GENERATOR HAS SPOKEN: @remusetlupus  / Sirius gets amnesia. 

            A hard fall off of a tall broom -- Sirius was dazed and confused. And knocked out. They had taken him straight to the infirmary but even there wasn’t what he needed. After a day, Sirius finally returned to Hogwarts after his visit to St. Mungos. He had a mild concussion but even worse .. he couldn’t remember what he was doing there. He knew who Madam Pomfrey was and Hooch.. Lily’s hair seemed familiar, but he couldn’t place her name when she came to visit and brought him ‘get well soon’ flowers. 

        ❝   .. Hello?  ❞  Sirius said politely when he awoke one afternoon to find someone sitting in the chair next to him, reading. He blinked away the sleepy blur in his eyes and sat up a little more straight, though his side shot sharp pains through the rest of him. They assumed he broke a rib and it was a hard repair.        The ‘hello’ came out more as a question, as if he wondered why the other was sitting there. It made Sirius a little uncomfortable, though the company was not unwelcome. He hadn’t seen many people in the last two days, other than James. Sirius remembered James, at least some of the things he did. He was familiar. This person next to him? Wasn’t as familiar. And he didn’t know why.
