It was a smart move to watch them watch OL. I found it very interesting, lots of clues about their joint dynamic:

Gradually relaxes as she seems to imply the context is 'safe enough' to loosen up a bit. And yes, this is all instinctive, by now. If I knew absolutely nothing about These Two and saw them act and react like this IRL, I would definitely have questions.

But it's Horowitz reply that interested me the most: ' it's too bad you guys aren't photogenic, even after a long flight, like what a mess you guys look like, there':

He threw a bait, C took it: 'weeelllll...' and then Josh ended it with a simple, smiling 'please' that, in my mind, is on par with KDS' 'believe what you want'.

I also found very telling one of the last remarks by Horowitz, too: ' it's ok, they can't fire you now, it's too late, it's way too late'. Granted, it was about the trivia and allegedly in jest, but really?

For real though I’ve relistened to ep 43 so many times already. The whole episode just being this breathless desperate attempt to convince and threaten and beg for Arthur’s life while pouring out so much we just didn’t know about John is next level. It’s also maybe the best execution of a trope of a badguy forcing a good guy to say they love someone I’ve ever seen because that isn’t even what the witch is trying to do! Yet the result of her attempts to convince John of the futility of his hope only makes him realise it 10 fold is just-. I can’t say more because if I do I’ll be here all day. FUCK this is a good podcast.

P.s. and Yorick was so funny? I’m like how are you so funny in the absolute most horrendus moments

im relistening to the most recent silt verses and i just wanted to say WOW i did not properly appreciate all the subtleties of your performance the first time round!!! you paint a striking picture of rane as this sort of handler/chaperone puppeting faulkner's limp persona around, and its such a shift from their keen, excitable self at the start of the podcast. your performance doesnt just do wonders for fleshing out sibling rane during their limited screen(sound?) time, but also for demonstrating just how far faulkner has fallen. thanks for helping make this ep so impactful !!!!

TSV is the first time I've ever acted with other people (at least, since I was about 14 and played an extra in our school production of The Secret Garden 😅). I was really nervous about the jump from making MP shows where I'm acting on my own, where nobody can see, reading a script I wrote myself and where I do as many takes over as much time as I want, to recording "live", recording someone else's words (and SUCH words!), and performing with another actor (and SUCH an actor!) Huge props to Jon @thesiltverses and B. @sassylich for being so wonderful in the recording booth 🤩💖

All this to say, it means the world to hear people have listened and enjoyed my performance, and found Rane as interesting and fun as I have! I've really loved seeing Faulkner's rise and fall from Rane's perspective, and especially getting to shout DROWNED, DRAGGED, DELIVERED!! on two separate occasions. Low-key want it on a t-shirt.

What else could they be hiding that they keep getting investigated and that the apparently want to "run them out of Dahlia"?? I need to relisten to the Summit episodes to remember what if anything was said about the Rebane.

And when the Quinn incident happened they fucking QUARTERED HIM TO DEATH???

And now I can't WAIT for Omega David au to hear if he wasn't strong enough to take over the pack after Gabe died and if Asher did it instead, and what kind pack Asher leads that is bloodthirsty enough to rip Quinn to ash. Is every Pack AU led by Asher just inherently more violent? What does that say about our usually goofy little beta boi? What happened to that other pack led by Gabe's friend whose name I don't remember? I wonder if they'll be mentioned.

Any shows/movies/books or comics you liked lately?

Uhhhh I have been listening to a lot of audio books! Some recent listenings have been a bunch of older Vampire stories! "The Vampyre", "Carmilla", and relistening to Dracula. Those have been an interesting listen! Books that I have read My Roomate is a Vampire by Jenna Levine, was a really cute story and I enjoyed that a lot! I also have been enjoying A Witches Guide to Fake Dating a Demon and A Demon's Guide to Wooing a Witch a series by Sarah Hawley, both books contain a lot of humor and they were a really fun read. ^^ )

I haven't seen too many new movies that have gotten my attention... I want to watch Renfeild eventually.

As for comics, hands down I wholeheartedly reccomend Brimestone and Roses by @speremint it's on Webtoons and both the art and writing is absolutely fantastic! 💖💖💖 The art is stunningly goregous and the characters who you can't help but love are lively and you are cheering for them the whole way. I have much love for this whole series. I was a bad kid when I first stumbled upon it and binged a whole season and a half and stayed up to the crack of dawn reading it. 🤣 Did I ruin my sleep schedule? Yes. Was it is worth it? Also yes!
