Rejoice in the Lord.

We can enjoy our time we spend with the Lord. Joy means a calm cheerfulness, and that is one of the fruits of the Spirit Christians can have. We can spend our time with the Lord, and walk with Him during the day in this calm cheerfulness. No, it isn't always easy to be a Christian, but the general state of our emotions can be calm cheerfulness in the Lord, though there may be very difficult times in the life of a Christian - times of opposition from people or demons, or people may mock us and speak evil of us or ridicule us. We must stand firm in our faith, no matter what the world can do to us. But they cannot take away our joy in the Lord, who is always there for us and is always with us with his love and protection. People cannot take away our salvation, and we rejoice in the salvation of the Lord always. We can always, after a battle with demons or after a difficult time with people, return to this joy and calm cheerfulness with the Lord's presence close to us and in us by the Holy Spirit.

To serve God according to his will may require a lot of effort from our side - to love Him and obey Him and do work for Him. But we can do it in the joy of the Lord. If things are really difficult in our lives, we can always go and spend some time with the Lord, trusting in Him, and find peace and calm cheerfulness in His presence. Working for the Lord and serving Him and being devoted to Him with all our heart and mind and strength may sometimes require a lot of effort from our side, but we have the peace and joy that God is with us, and that our names are written in Heaven. What a great salvation God has provided for us. In the most difficult of times, we can still rejoice in the Lord, for who He is, and how wonderful He is, and for his faithfulness towards us, and worship and praise Him for it. People cannot take away our joy in the Lord.
