hello! sorry if this ask is super out of the blue and weird but i found the kny sinblings zine (unbreakable) and i noticed you were one of the artists. i found the carrd and saw that the shipping was supposed to be a tentative feb 2023, and u can still order a digital zine, but it's almost august and there arent any production updates in the tumblr and the schedule doesnt seem updated? i was wondering if you knew what was going on? thanks and i hope youre having a good day!

Hi!! While I'm not on the mod team and I haven't been keeping a super close eye on production recently, I know for a fact that the Twitter has been updating.

I double checked and there was a production update 2 days ago, so I guess the team has been keeping their updates most active on the Twitter... I didn't know the tumblr here wasn't being updated at all, but I'm so sorry about the confusion that must have caused.

Ahh thank you! I do! I hope you too! 26. What’s a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended Mhh tbh I'm not sure. I think mostly people are really good in catching the right emotions for my drawings. I think overall my art leaves room for interpretation, or rather for everyone to project their own memories and feelings onto them. I draw scenes, themes and feelings most are familiar with in one way or another, and they can see themselves in my art. Of course I do have specific stories for most of my scenes in mind that not everyone knows, but that's okay!

30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated Ohh also hard to say. There are some that really didn't do well note wise, but I got great feedback from peers and clients. Or there are pieces that did amazingly here but flopped on other sites, like Twitter, or vice versa. So this is really hard to say.

LOVE IS IN THE ICE. Olympic icon Dracule Mihawk goes on ice with Pirates' jersey after Akagami’s coming out sparks rumors of romance

LOGUETOWN (19).— Dracule Mihawk (43) appeared last night at the Loguetown Exhibition Gala with a Pirates’ jersey, a month after Akagami No Shanks’ (39) coming out sparked rumors of romance.

It appeared to be Akagami’s first jersey with the Pirates, from when the ice hockey legend was first drafted. Dracule proceeded to skate to the tune of Eye Of The Tiger, ending his routine with an axel that made the audience fear an accident, and that brought to mind Akagami’s career ending injury. 

Dracule has declined to make any comments, opting for skipping altogether the media after the exhibition gala. On his part, Akagami was seen at the VIP section alongside other past and present Pirates’ players, although it’s unclear whether or not he was present for Dracule’s routine. 

Monkey D. Luffy (19), Akagami’s protégé, posted a selfie sitting next to his mentor with the caption: ‘Power isn’t determined by your size, but by the size of your heart and dreams’. Fans believe that it references Akagami and Dracule’s relationship. The Pirates’ winger, Roronoa Zoro (21), has fueled the speculation ‘liking’ a Tiktok that breaks down the theory. 

The Pirates’ new captain came out shortly before Akagami did, telling Marineford reporter Rocky Port Koby (23) that he’s “pretty proud of who he is, which is not straight in any shape, way or form”. Akagami openly supported him, citing him as an inspiration when he came out through a message in ‘X’. 

Although the rumors about Akagami and Dracule’s relationship are not new —they have been linked on and off since the Olympic Games of 09, the first one in which they both competed— Akagami’s recent coming out has done nothing but fueling further the rumors of romance. 

Akagami and Dracule have been sighted together various times throughout the city during the past month, from the exclusive Baratie to the Thousand Sunny ice ring’s parking lot, and to Roronoa’s birthday party last week, a star studded event which gathered the biggest names in the ice hockey community.

Tsukasa explaining Inori's training options (circa episode 3) with a strawberry shortcake and taiyaki metaphor is such a good scene. It explains the stakes of the decision, and the difference in both the training and the final result.

Focus on just one impressive jump and you could win even if the rest is rough, but the strawberry has to be good or it'll just be a boring ol' cake. Or focus on the fundamentals so you'll have a good performance, even if the strawberries aren't there. It just makes sense.

Contrast with that nerdy complaint I had about OnK's Tokyo Blade arc. TL;DR, neither the anime nor the manga actually explained the difference between Kana's "shine on others" acting style and the "shine by yourself" acting style that Aqua and especially Akane wanted to provoke. What would Kana actually do different, and why would that affect her performance in the way that Akane wants? Also, how does Akane plan to provoke that, and why does it work?

Granted, professional stage acting is a much more nuanced and complicated than prelim-level figure skating. But if reineyday sees this post and remembers that discussion, I hope it helps her understand what I was getting at.

a lot! my current top five fandoms on ao3 are haikyuu, traffic (third life/last life etc) series, dream smp, danganronpa, and assassination classroom. these days i've been writing yellowjackets fic

almost always! they make me happy and i like being able to ramble about my thought processes. occasionally i get a comment that makes me go "???" though...those ones i'll ignore

paved with good intentions (lottielee angel/demon au) probably has the most tragic ending...also need something newer than new (karlnapity) is pretty fucking sad at the end

that's a hard one cuz i typically write fluff...most of my haikyuu and the popular life series fics have happy endings though

i write good dialogue i think!

it's hard for me to stick with one project and see it though...i write a lot of one-shots because those are easiest for me to actually finish lmao. and i can't really write anything longer than 5k! that's about the point where i start losing interest in writing the story T_T

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

i think...it depends. because honestly some authors do it so so badly and some do it really well. sometimes it feels natural and sometimes it doesn't. i'm not inherently against it though

first ever fandom was frozen, but on ao3 the first thing i ever published was actually for toradora! just a fun fact for u

Thanks for the tag! Real quick just want to let you know that I love your art!! If I'm remembering correctly I originally followed you for your grimmichi stuff, but it turned out that we share a lot of fandoms haha

last song: the drumline show that my students will be playing for their upcoming season lol. We're giving them their music tomorrow so I've been listening to the show a LOT in preparation (it's sick. My boss actually commissioned me to write a short story to base the show on, and what our composer ended up writing off of that was SO COOL).

favorite color: blue and green lol. If you look at my wardrobe, it's probably not hard to tell. But over the past year I've been enjoying exploring warmer tones too hehe

last book: the last book I finished was Rhythm of War, by Brandon Sanderson, and it's SO GOOD. It's the fourth book in the Stormlight Archive series, and if you enjoy high fantasy, I'd definitely recommend it! I'm also currently reading the Well of Ascension, which is the second book in the first era of Mistborn, and that's also super good.

last movie: I watched the Untouchables two weeks ago, and ended up really enjoying it!! I'm sort of a sucker for crime/gangster films, but I was wary of it since I didn't actually like Goodfellas all that much when I watched that, and I was slightly worried the Untouchables would be similar. I shouldn't have been concerned tho, since they're vastly different movies, and I ended up liking the film!

last tv show: Arcane :) I'm enjoying the collective aneurysm we're all having rn lol

sweet/spicy/savory: probably savory but also sweet sometimes. I'm a wimp so I can't really handle spice most of the time 💀

Asking because I want to, who on the hockey teams would get into fights? Who sees the goalie get checked (knocked over, idk if you're a hockey fan or not) and decides that a five-minute penalty is worth it?

okay so I'm not a hockey fan by any means, and I actually have no idea what kind of rules we're talking about lmao

but considering that some of shanks' crew would be in the team with him, I kinda picture yassop being a little shit,

maybe more in the other teams, like the Pirates wouldn't usually start arguments, but they would sure as hell answer altogether if someone's hurt or something (again I have no idea how hockey work sorry--)

maybe @reineyday or @giurochedadomani could help me on that one as we've all been brainroting on that for a week-

Total silence, to the point he wonders if they’ve hung up on him —if this was, after all, an accidental call—, and then Shanks? Is shouting: “HE’S ANSWERING, GIVE IT TO ME”. Then a commotion on the other side of the line, someone’s words —Beckman’s?— getting muffled and then Shanks again, a bit out of breath: “Hey. Amm. Uh. How are you doing, Hawky?”.

Or, Benn Beckmann steals Mihawk's den den mushi contact so Shanks stops being annoying.
