It was unbearably hot for some reason in Seasoning City, Japan.

It was so hot in fact that Spirits and Such Consultations Office had to shut down for the day.

Nobody wanted to come out to get an exorcism in the heat, and it seemed like the spirits didn’t want too either. Funny.

Kanke laid against his chair, his tie loosened up and shirt, for once, unbuttoned. He had abandoned his jacket a long time ago and Reigen was in the same boat as him.

“Ugh… It’s so hot. Kanke… Why is it so hot?” Reigen groans, leaning his head back against the chair. Slightly swiveling around a bit.

“I dunno… Maybe it’s because the AC is out?”

Jeez, he hadn’t even thought about that. The AC being out was probably the worst thing to happen.

They’ve been having minor problems with the office. Occasionally the lights would go out, sometimes the service would be slow, or there would be a few leaks. But the AC being out was probably the worst of them all.

He groans again. He felt like he’d die if he went out there. With eyes closed, he stays there for a moment. The lights seemingly a little brighter than normal, which was slightly overstimulating, but he was too hot to get up and dim them.

But his suffering wouldn’t last any longer when the door to the office opened.

A young girl coming through the door. Her bag on her shoulder with her phone in her other hand. Kanke lifts his head up and speaks.

“Oh, hey Maya. ” He then lays his head back, feeling his head starting to get hot.

Reigen on the other hand repeats Kanke’s words, only strained out. Given that he felt as if he spoke anymore, he’d explode.

Maya looks between her two dads before sighing. Rubbing the back of her head. It’s hot, yes, but she didn’t think they’d be this miserable. Lousing around together suffering in heat together.

“Why haven’t you guys gone home yet?” She asks. The blond male a few feet away from her puts a hand on his forehead. Forcing himself to speak. “If we walk, we’d melt.”

To be fair, Reigen’s place wasn’t very close. Much to both adults’ dismay.

She sighs again before turning around, unlocking her phone and typing in something. She’s quiet for a moment, then she turns back around.

“Come on, we’re going to the beach.”

‘It felt even hotter on the beach. ’

That was Kanke’s thought as he stood a few feet away from Maya and Reigen, watching with a soft expression as he put the sunscreen on various parts of her face and arms.

His eyes squinted, but not due to the sun. It was mostly due to the loud noises of the beach, a faint ringing in his ears.

He ignored it, continuing to watch them as he held the beach ball gingerly in his grasp. The sounds of loud children screaming, birds cawing, music blasting was a lot to handle. And the sand between his toes made his skin crawl.

He hated it.

It wasn’t exactly loud, just overwhelming. Maya noticed that look on his face, when his smile didn’t quite reach his eyes and the way he squinted. She didn’t say anything for the moment, continuing to watch Reigen put more than enough sunscreen on her.

Once he was done, he turns to Kanke. Although his smile slightly faltered at his partner’s expression.

“You alright?” He asks to which Kanke could only nod and hum. Continuing his hold on the ball as he forces out his words.

“I just… Haven’t been to the beach in a minute, that’s all. ”

Reigen didn’t buy it for a second. He knew Kanke, and by the looks of it, he was overstimulated. He waves off Maya for a moment, telling her he’ll be back soon. Watching her run off for a moment and then turns to Kanke.

“You don’t have to lie to me you know. ” He says, leaning over slightly and digging into the bag he brought with them. He pulls out a pair of headphones and hands them to Kanke, which he takes from him.

The Esper lets out a small huff and puts them on. The ringing in his ears was dying down a bit, and his head feeling clearer. Giving Reigen a small smile.

“You shouldn’t keep those things a secret, from me or Maya. If you’re overstimulated, try to communicate with me alright?”

Try. Kanke repeats in his head and places the ball down, grabbing onto Reigen’s hands. He rubs his thumbs across his knuckles, a silent thank you. No words were needed between the two of them. Reigen leans in to kiss Kanke before—

SPLASH.

Maya’s holding a water gun with a cheeky smile on her face. Waving it around. “Come on! It’s super hot out here and I wanna get in the water with my dad’s, not watch them kiss. ”

She splashes them again, a chuckle escaping Reigen’s lips. He shakes his head and cracks his knuckles. Reaching out his hands, he starts to chase after Maya to the water. Leaving Kanke there for a moment to watch them. He smiles, glancing down at the ring on his finger.

He was so worried about being uncool in front of Maya, he forgot for a moment that they don’t care.

With a sigh of relief, he raises the ball and kicks off his shoes. Chasing after them to the water. He yells with a small grin on his face.

“Don’t forget the ball!”

Mob Psycho fanfic anyone?

Mob gets Ill one weekend when his parents and/ or Ritsu are out of town. He either drags himself to the office, convinced all he needs is sleep and things go downhill quickly after that- but I feel like Reigen would actually know how to tend to an Ill person as he is a man of many talents.

Or

Reigen finds a big job out of town and takes Mob with him. It’s supposed to just be for the night but the next day after exorcising the demon, Reigen finds another job (up until now it’s been back to back to back jobs and even though Reigen told Mob to take a break because the kid is stressed from them, entrance exams and girls, Mob doesn’t want to disappoint his Master and he doesn’t mind the distraction but his body is hitting a wall). Anyway they decide to stay one more night so they can do this last job in the morning before heading out but Mob gets sick in the night. Like I imagine Reigen knew something was wrong but he thought maybe the kid just had a lot on his mind or he was just growing up and starting to become his own person as he’s been doing a lot lately- but Mob gets sick in the evening or Reigen wakes up to the sound of retching and basically things get so much worse after that. They end up staying at the hotel for two more nights- Reigen pressing a warm cloth against the boy’s fevered forehead and Mob’s eyes open slightly to find his master sitting on the side of the bed. He swallows trying to piece together everything, “M-Master?”

Reigen shushes him and runs his fingers through the boys hair. Mob tenses slightly as Reigen tells him to close his eyes and rest. Mob coughs, his eyes closing slowly before he snaps them back open, “Master- the job!”

Reigen chuckles, “Don’t worry about that, Mob. I’ll take care of it. You just rest- your body needs sleep otherwise I’ll go broke from the hotel bill.”

Mob gasps at the kindness—- idk that’s what I was thinking anyway. Dimple makes an appearance too. But I want to see Mob sick, fever and puking and hiding it or at least thinking he’s okay because he doesn’t want to disappoint anyone; and Reigen caring in his own Reigen way.

He didn’t notice that you didn’t reply to him until he had closed the door behind him. That’s when it came to him.

Immediately after the door shut, he ripped it wide open again a confused and offended look on his face, as he stared down at you on the couch. “Babe.”

You turned to face him, an innocent expression painting your features. “Yeah? You forget something?”

“I think you’re the one forgetting something..” You glance around faking a puzzled look before returning your gaze to him,

“No...I don’t think I did. What are you talking about?” He was now crossing his arms at you, a disappointed look on his face.

“Y/N.” Yikes, he’s going first name bases with you; he was not playing around. It was a little funny to watch him react like this though, because you could see the small pout on his face despite the scowl he was presenting to you.

“Yes handsome?” You say mockingly wanting to see how far you could take this.

“Why didn’t you say it back?”

“Say what back?”

“y’know what I’m talking about.“

“Do I?”

“…”

He’s rushing his ass back home, the distant yell that he dropped his snacks, left unheard from the poor cashier.

“So..” he starts, falling back onto the couch with you. “You know you're the most gorgeous girl I’ve ever met right?” He tries buttering you up a bit in hopes it’ll get you in a ‘good mood’.

“You’re just so SO beautiful, that every time I look at you there are only hearts in my eyes..y’know that right? Right baby?..” you only nod your head trying to stop the smile forming on your face.

“Thank you.”

“Why do you keep repeating that?”

“Are you not gonna say it back?” Is what he would say to you, but instead he only resorted to giving you a not so…pretty look.

You knew damn well what you were doing. He’s no fool to you and your pranks, but that still didn’t explain the reason why he continued trying to make you say it back.

“Let’s try this again.”

“…” You give him a neutral look, a small smile dying to crack onto your lips.

“Bye, I LOVE you.” He tried emphasising the love part making sure you would get the hint of what he was waiting on.

“Mhm..yeah, now go buy the snacks I’m hungry.” Are you trying to get yourself killed? This is not the type of guy you should be fooling around with this kinda stuff.

“I’m not going anymore” he walks away from the door before striding over to you.

“What? Why? H-hey! What are you doin-” he grips onto your waist before hosting you onto his shoulder.

“Gotta find out why my girls being so stubborn, so what better way than..”

That’s how you ended up here, hands tied behind your back, and a blindfold on, all your senses focused on only him and the distant sound of the TV.

Every time he would say he loved you, If you didn’t reply back to him fast enough the restraints would stay on for an extra minute while he went ahead and watched the movie without you.

“I love you.” Jesus, you could practically feel the devious smirk he had on his face.

“I. Love. You. Too.” You reply with a small hiss through clenched teeth. He only chuckled at your tone giving you a slight pat on your head. “Bet you won’t try this again huh?”

He’s sleeping on the couch.

The reason you obviously couldn’t say anything at that moment was because you just didn’t expect him to go down on his knees and beg for forgiveness for who knows what-

“Look I know this must be about eating the takeout and only leaving the empty bowl behind to make it look as though I didn’t- and this obviously must also be about me stealing your shirt and accidentally using it as a washcloth- or maybe it’s the underwe-”

“OKAY!” You yell putting both your hands in front of his face rendering him confused, “I-I get it! Okay..”

he only cocks his head to the side moments before his face drops when you tell him it was a prank.

“Oh..it is?..”

“Yeah…”

“So you still love me?”

“Very much.”

“..wait- what did you do with my underwear?”

He’s gone silent.

Warnings: Some spoilers for way past the U-20 Arc, also not an extensive list of characters, honestly kind of funny. I wasn't trying to be TOO serious

Has Gone To Therapy And Loves Their Therapist Gang

-Anri, There is no way she is able to have that much patience and take that much shit from corporate without having a therapist. I think she uses like 1/5th of her paycheck on books about improving your life and stuff like that LMAO. Her therapist is also a woman so it helps her to have someone who understands her frustrations with not really getting credit despite being one of the founders of Blue Lock. Also sometimes she gets worried she's unethical towards the boys so that weighs on her.

-Kenyu, Look it's still in progress ok? He was just starting before he came to Blue Lock. Once he realized he was going to lose his vision he started working with a professional and found it really helpful. In fact they were the one who encouraged him to go after Blue Lock in the first place. One of the reasons he was so quick to say sorry to Isagi is because he has those #coping skills.

-Gagumaru, After having a run in with a bear in the woods he kept having nightmares and his parents made him go to therapy. Well it was kindddd of therapy..it was a hippie who's a family friend. That doesn't mean he doesn't know grounding techniques. He even taught Naruhaya how to calm down from a panic attack once. But yeah, he doesn't really tell people that he went to therapy

-Snuffy, After his best friend's death he went to therapy ASAP. The type to only call his therapist once every 5 months and still have a rock solid relationship with them. His therapist helped him break his womanizing habit and realize that he's enough all on his own. 100% did some soul searching and stepped away from the scene. He also combined the therapist with a personal trainer to really max out his healing process. 100/10 dude for it.

"I Have Gone To Therapy And It Didn't Work" Crew

-Chigiri, Similar to Kenyu, his parents thought he might need some mental health help after the trauma of thinking he'd never be an athlete again. But he was one of those cold shoulder my mom is forcing me to do this cases. He never actually worked through what he might do if this whole thing falls through. Also snarkiness 100, his therapist almost quit because he was so insulting to them. Chigiri just felt ashamed that his parents even thought he should go in the first place and convinced his sister to also beg them to stop taking him lmao.

-Isagi, Okay at some point his parents realize he takes faliure wayyy too hard and tried to get him in therapy. When he talked to the therapist though the dude was like "Yeah, he's just competitive. Nothing wrong here." Alas, he's been masking for so long that he's incapable of revealing his issues to anyone who hasn't known him for 3 years or plays sports with him. Also, he convinced himself he doesn't need it and then idly imagines just going apeshit and killing his enemies to cope with stress...like bro...

-Noa, Why do you think he gets along with Isagi? All jokes aside, his PR people probably asked him to do it and he went and then secretly never went back. It honestly didn't work because he wasn't willing to give it a chance. And still isn't!!!! Would rather backflip off of a yacht than tell someone in a lounge chair about how growing up in intense poverty still haunts him sometimes, makes him question his worth and avoid conflict in day to day life. Sometimes he wonders if one day he'll wake up and find out it was all a dream....But nah he doesn't need therapy!

-Oliver, He was soooo close to actually getting his mental health in check but then his therapist retired. After that he got another really seasoned one and saw the amount of case files in his desk and just felt like a straight up burden. One of those "other people have it worse" and "it is what it is" guys. He's very open about his emotions and feelings so he just talks to his friends when he's really struggling. (Even though Sendou never says the right things-) Like yeah it's their job but why bug these nice people when sex?? Why talk about issues in sessions when he can get drunk or go train for 4 hours??? Riddle him that?

The "I Need Therapy And I Know It" Team

-Ness, He has so many fucking issues. Honestly, despite his devout worship of Kaiser he does realize that his behavior isn't quite healthy or normal. Dude tries to show you a funny video on his phone and all of his ads are for Betterhelp. Genuinely trying to figure out a diagnosis. Yes he has looked up all sorts of personality disorders and no he doesn't think he has any of them (He has at least two). But again, Ness is self aware enough to know that some help or someone to talk to who sees him as an actual human being would be nice.

-Niko, He cannonicaly describes himself as very very introverted and nerdy, also he hides his face. Tell me you were bullied in school or at least had an extremely traumatizing incident without telling me. Kind of never had anyone, just people who hung around because of his soccer skill or avoided him like the plague. He is that guy who will rant about "society" online for hours and fantasize about moving to a different country thinking he'd get better treatment there. Cripplingly lonely and self conscious at the end of the day, in all honesty. Also he genuinely wants a therapist but just can't afford one.

-Hiori, Obviously his parents are the ones who stop him. He tries to go and his mom realizes where he's making her drive him and swerves off. Even when he gets his license, you just know they're tracking everywhere he goes. He doesn't have enough privacy to really get better like that, Hiori has to wait until he moves out. Still genuinely fucked up by the fact that Gagumaru has gotten therapy and he hasn't. Just listens to emo music and plays video games and pretends that that fixes everything. He's totally releasing a top-selling book about his horrible childhood after Blue Lock.

-Bachira, Is he outgoing and silly? Yes. Does he need better coping skills? Also yes. Men will tell you the most horrible and traumatizing childhood memories about getting jumped and then laugh it off, and it's him, Bachira is men. He ties to brush off his trauma with humor but it never really works. He knows that he genuinely needs to talk to someone other than Isagi or his mom about the Monster and how it was by his side for so long. But also never goes through with getting professional help, just thinks about it sometimes.

The "What's Therapy? Fuck You!" Group

-Kaiser, Oh god, don't even suggest it to him. I headcannon that mental illness kind of runs in his family. He's watched family members be taken away for being too out there and openly mentally ill so he has a reason to not trust doctors. Just associates therapy and things like it with abusive institutions. If he told a therapist all of his issues, he'd probably be sent to a psyche ward. Just the threat of being sent there single handedly kept him from killing himself or talking about his feelings when he was younger. He will continue to just be slightly abusive to the people around him thank you very much.

-Ego, Bro's got the government banning him from soccer and you think he's thinking of therapy? When Anri tells him he needs it offhand, he's like, revenge is my therapy. Insane as fuck but thinks that it's a good thing. He is not willing to talk about his issues to anyone, but especially not someone who will write it all down. Genuinely ruined a few relationships in his past because the main people he attracts are the "I Can Fix Him" people and it just never works. Suprisingly unself aware for how much he analyzes others.

-Barou, His main issue is just shame and failed gifted kid syndrome. But as soon as he's back up he's convinced he doesn't need help. Barou suffers from really high highs and really low lows but he also has the mental fortitude to handle it. He is a well adjusted and kind enough person outside of the soccer field so he never considers that he needs therapy. When he feels bad about himself he hits the gym but he's never really opened up to anyone and he sure isn't going to start once he gets more famous. Especially when he's seen as one of the best right now, can't risk his reputation.

-Rin, He's would rather gut himself with a sword than admit that his mental illness doesn't make him a cool loner wolf and just a lonely person who hasn't healed his inner child. Kind of just wants someone to baby him and tell him everything's going to be alright but in the mean time his barriers are up 24/7. He disdains therapy, thinks that he'd just be seen as a pay check and he kind of isn't wrong. Rin would rather pay money for expensive cleats than spend it for someone to suggest him breathing exercises. He also had a traumacore phase, but he'd rather not talk about it.

random headcannon, Kusuo is Café Mami's owner favorite client

ku comes to Café Mami at the same hour every weekend, often alone but sometimes w his friends (against his will) so he (the manager) always have kusuo's coffee jelly and coffee prepared for him

sometimes when he's in a good mood he even offers free coffee jelly and gives Mera more free time

when this happens, Mera goes with ku and both eat in silence together while the owner sees them from the kitchen like a proud dad (he's single and he got attached to this two, soooo he kinda sees them as his "children")

sometimes when something happens and Mera can't go to work, the owner calls saiki for some help, surprisingly he doesn't mind at all, the shop is really calm and the kitchen it's always clean so kusuo really enjoys being there

also the manager understands that ku isn't the most extroverted guy so he isn't a bother mostly

idk maybe I'm projecting because this guy is so similar to my dad but I really need him and kusuo to have what reigen and mob have, you know? father-son bond, I need to draw them now aaaa

🏳️‍🌈 I think he's somewhere in the aroace spectrum.. it's rare for him to get crushes or be attracted to someone for that matter, so when Reigen realized he was feeling both for Serizawa he definitely started panicking 😭

🏳️‍⚧️ He's a trans man who started going on T about a year before leaving his old job and starting the S&S office. He wanted top surgery at some point, but eventually made peace with being no-op since the cost and recovery didn't feel worth it to him

🍊 Allergic to citrus and lactose intolerant but refuses to acknowledge it LMFAO

🇦🇷 One of his parents is south american (possibly argentinian, can't decide) but sadly he wasn't raised with any aspects of the culture or language

🌶️ Canonically he has a low spice tolerance, but I think it's still higher than Serizawa's LOL

🧂 His favorite type of flavor is salty/savory, while his least favorite is sweet

and to continue off of my last post, while there's nothing really inherently wrong with headcannoning reigen transmasc, i feel like there's tons of arguments for it if you want to get into it, but my take is that having him already transitioned shows a level of acceptance that he just doesn't display to me in canon. having already transitioned means that he sees and accepts himself as male on some level and has the confidence and know-how to go through the process of transitioning, whereas my argument is that in canon, he doesn't appear to accept himself at all, actively pushing parts of himself [that are unknown to us but could easily be read as transness] away, as that's basically the theme of the show.

personally, i think it just makes more sense for him to be a closeted trans woman.

Hello! First off, thank you so much!! ❤ And thank you for the ask as well! I've had this sitting in my askbox for a while but I'm a shy little baby so I'm only now answering it! Sorry about that!

Ahhh, headcanons. I had to think about this for a bit. Definitely hc them both as gay. Just two very gay dudes to me!

I LOVE trans Reigen. I don't hc him as trans, but I see it and I get it!! (Now that I stop to think about it, all of my favorite fics feature trans Reigen, actually.) It makes a lot of sense, especially with all the queer-coding that exists around his character!

As far as them getting together goes: I think for Reigen, it may have been love at first sight, but I don't see him being emotionally put together enough at that moment in time to fully register it, or even pay attention to it. He would probably do his best to suppress it for as long as he's able. Needless to say, I do not see him being the one to confess lol.

On Serizawa's side, I think it would a gradual realization over the course of a year or so. As much as I want them to make-out sloppy right away, it doesn't make sense for either of them. They're both way too emotionally stunted and def need time figuring their own crap out before they can pursue a relationship with each other.

All this to say, I think they'd have an agonizingly long, very drawn out slow-burn relationship lol.

Oh! And as far as big spoon/little spoon goes, I think they switch back and forth :')
