sae isn’t much of a talker. but when he does open that mouth of it, words of trust and love flow out from his lips (at least that’s the case for you.)

itoshi rin: y/n, stupid, dumbass

while all of these sound derogatory and basic, it’s just how rin expresses his love for you. it’s not that he doesn’t like to call you pet names (he calls you "love" once in awhile), he just doesn’t get why you have to call your lover by other terms?!@# he just wants to keep it simple. (plus he loves your name so much ueueueue)

shidou ryusei: darlin’, sweets, doll 

yup the typical fuckboy pet names. i don’t even have an explanation as to why but he loves calling you these (especially sweets).

kaiser michael: mein liebling/schatz (my darling), mein liebe (my love), mein herz (my heart)

mikka LOVESSSSSSSSS calling you these on a daily basis to the point some of his teammates (noa and even isagi 😭) even call you these instead of your name (he gets extremely jealous and pouty). 

bachira meguru: baby, bee, sweetheart

ah yes, the typical corny ass pet names. some people might yuck it but in bachira’s words, ‘don’t yum my yuck’ (you told him it was yuck my yum). no one can stop him, he’s just too in love with you (plus he calls you these to spite kaiser). 

isagi yoichi: princess, babe, sunshine

here comes the king of cringe yoichi. now, he doesn’t see anything wrong with these; it’s just the people around him are making a big fuss about these. they’re really cute! and his partner’s really cute too!

mikage reo: love, darling, sweetheart

he likes calling you simple, yet classy endearments. his favourite one to call you tho is definitely ‘love’. simple endearments for a lovely guy indeed. 

nagi seishiro: babe, y/n, darl’

now, seishiro doesn’t really like talking which is why these are really simple (but they’re so cute with the way he drags them out like “baaaaaaaabe” or “y/nnnnnnn”). but when he’s in a silly goofy mood (especially when he finishes a game), he’ll call you darl’ or just darling with a stupid smirk on his face.

chigiri hyoma: love, stupid, y/n

i just imagine hyoma to be a silly lover. someone who you can playfully banter with and someone you can love without limits. he’s just a simple guy. (he WILL beg you to buy him his hair care materials, comb his hair and style his hair).

“reo you can’t be serious…” you sighed heavily, rubbing the temple of your head. “what, pookie? i missed ya’. and my schedule’s free for the day so-” his cocky smirk was wiped off when you slammed your laptop shut.

“well. news for you, but mine isn't.” you got up from your desk, walking towards him, each step you took, felt heavier.

you were tired. you’d been working for 7 hours straight. not by force, but by choice. there was a promotion coming up and your senior, (and mentor) had hinted that your name might be on the list. you wanted to give your best. which resulted in you overworking yourself for the past week. only ever taking a few breaks to nap and eat. this was only temporary, just till june ended, and you were finally given the higher salary, bigger office and more authority. just like you deserved. 

“woah, what’s up with the attitude?” reo furrowed his eyebrows, slightly raising his hands as a form of defencelessness (?). 

“this is the third time you’ve shown up to my office, reo. and it’s the last time, i tell you to never. ever. do it again.” you said, your eyes bloodshot due to the lack of sleep and the anger you felt at this moment. sure, he missed you. you missed him too, but this promotion was something you’d dreamed of for years now. you were so close and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. however, your boyfriend showing up to work three times in the same week wasn’t going to impress your higher-ups.

“hey, don’t snap at me, alright? this is the most of you i’ve seen all week!” he raised his voice, pointing at you accusingly. that’s when it hit you. you were arguing with a man-child. no, it wasn’t funny anymore. he’d been served everything on a golden platter since the time he was born. sure, he works hard now, but he’d have never made it so far if it wasn’t for the fact that he was born into the right family. you took a deep breath, turning to face a wall, because you couldn’t stand to see him right now.

then you remembered, and you felt your anger rise back. “yeah, well, what about the times you went to the US for up to two weeks?” your head snapped back to him, watching his face turn into an amused one as he scoffed. “y/n. sweetie, that’s different.” he smiled, a hand reaching out to cup your face. despite how gentle this must have seemed to the audience peeking into your office from outside, to you, it felt cruel. cruel, humiliating, and offending. feeling tears well up in your eyes once you realized how he saw you, you shut them. your friends, your family, everyone was right.

reo mikage was not on your level. he would never be. and most importantly, he’d never see you, the same way you see him.

“how…” you mumbled. “how…is it different…?” you knew the answer. but you wanted to hear it. just to be sure. 

“darling, c’mon. don’t be like that. you know, my work is, y’know? actually important…” he smiled at you as you blinked your eyes open, biting your lip and nodding. tears slipped down your face, and as his thumb immediately reached out to wipe them, you took a step back. 

“and mine isn’t.” you stated, wanting to laugh at yourself for even telling your friends that your boyfriend, respected you and saw you as an equal. 

“oh, don’t cry, y/n. want me to talk to your boss? i could make things much easier if ya let me.” he raised his eyebrows, sending you his signature smile as he walked closer to you.

your face felt cold. you felt tired and betrayed and sleepy and pathetic. “reo?” you said, turning your back to him as you made your way back to your desk. wiping your own tears, you made a decision. a decision that you wouldn’t regret, but would certainly make him think about his actions for months.

How Awkward Are The Blue Lock Boys In A Relationship?

-1- Not Awkward At All

Maybe it's because you're friends beforehand or maybe it's because he's been in relationships before but he settles right in. You two just clicked from the first date and now you're connected at the hip. He doesn't care if you see him all sweaty and gross after practice or if he has a habit that kind of grosses you out. He bares it all from the get go and has a sort of charm you can't deny. PDA is a must and you swear he doesn't know the meaning of the word "cocky" with the way he peacocks and shows you off to everyone he knows. It's obvious to everyone around him that he loves you with all his heart and he isn't afraid to show it. You know each other inside and out within the first few months of dating because he's just that open and honest.

Honestly didn't expect you to go on a second date with him. Between his busy life as a professional athlete and his love of egoism, he didn't expect to ever be in a relationship. When you tell him you love him he freezes up a little bit. But every single time you start to worry your love is unappreciated he manages to gather the courage to wrap his arm around your waist and stare at you with a look of adoration that says it all.

During your first kiss he accidentally hit your teeth against his and that just set the tone for the whole relationship. He accidentally drops the expensive gift he meant to give to you for your anniversary. He is the definition of fail cringe and yet he managed to snag you anyway and he will never stop wondering how. He somehow forgets that he's never missed a date, never failed to be respectful and nonjudgemental and overall has been the best boyfriend you could ever ask for.

Random thought but kaiser with a south (east) asian s/o would be so chaotic and funny.

ALSO, asian families in general dislike tattoos A LOT so he'll desperately be trying to cover his up everytime he comes to visit your family. No way he'll be ruining his image infront of his future in-laws (wink wonk)

But I think he'll really love spending time with you during special festivals/holidays, just imagine him covered head to toe with colourful powder during holi or getting splashed in the face with a water gun during Thingyan/Songkran

Kaiser would also constantly bother you during praying ceremonies, it can be about anything really, from complaining about the numbness in his legs from kneeling for too long, to prodding at you and asking how much longer the praying session is going to last.

desk mate rin itoshi ! who was actually quite fond of you. every afternoon he found himself readily awaiting the morning where he could silently bask in your calming presence without any unnecessary energy being wasted. he found his eyes calmed once they fell on your figure, there was something about you, inviting, which pulled him in.

desk mate rin itoshi ! who, one afternoon, found you sitting in your lonesome outside the school. he didn’t know if it was out of worry or concern when he found his feet moving faster to reach you. his chest swelled as he noticed the water which pricked from your eyes, and his hand reached out to gently wipe your tears away before he could even realise it.

friend rin itoshi ! who, after that afternoon’s incident, started to actively converse with you during classes. it was almost jarring to hear the voice you had become so accustomed to as ‘cold’ and ‘distant’ suddenly have a peculiar warmth flourish through.

the first part was pretty decent, but the number of reblogs just really demotivated me idk, here's the second & final part :)

it wasn’t that you didn’t mean anything to him earlier, but after your breakup, reo slowly realized that you were irreplaceable. everything about you was perfect and no woman his mother set him up with could ever reach your level.

a week after your breakup, you started to receive bouquets of your favorite flowers with cute little handwritten notes. he sent them to your home but surprisingly, never to your office. 

you never texted him about it, you just replaced the old flowers with the new ones.

“y’know, he really misses you, y/n.” your only mutual friend, isagi yoichi, the one who introduced the two of you, sighed deeply, sitting at your table and frowning.

“doesn’t matter, yoichi. he needs to respect my boundaries.” you whispered under your breath, cleaning the vase as you put the pink tulips inside. the pink tulips were your favorite. they were the first flowers reo had purchased for you. “but, y/n he does! it’s been a month already! you’ve got your promotion and he’s done nothing but wait and give you your space.” isagi argued, he didn’t see the point of this break-up. all he saw was two of his friends feeling lonely and sad.

“yeah, but-”

“no buts, y/n! call him! or text him! he’s learned his mistake and he’s gonna apologize if you just for god’s sake give him a chance!” isagi got up from the chair, shaking his head as he walked out of your apartment.

“jeez, what’s up his ass.” you said to yourself, placing the vase on the counter and staring at it. “maybe i should call him…” you didn’t really believe that he’d changed in a month, but you were curious. unlocking your phone, you entered his name and pressed the call button.

ring. ring. ri-

“y/n?!?!?” a smile unconsciously formed on your face. 

“uh…did you dial the wrong number??? y/n i’m sorry by the way-” reo started off rambling, worried that you might have misdialed and that he only had a few seconds to tell you everything. “and i promise i’ll never do it again, but please-”

inhaling deeply, you said, “thank you for the flowers. and the notes…i appreciate it.” and his words came to a halt. the other side was completely silent, so you looked at your phone to see if the call was disconnected or something. as you put it back on your ear, you could hear soft sniffles. huh? was he crying?

“reo…?” you called out worriedly. “‘m sorry, it’s…jus’ been so long..” he referred to hearing your voice, making you smile again. you knew what he meant and considered forgiving him. he sounded really sorry. and he hadn’t interfered with your work at all, so maybe giving him a second chance wouldn’t be such a bad idea."

Noa for sure knows about Kaiser's mother. I feel like he has never asked so he still thinks Kaiser's just some spoiled kid who lived with servants all his life. I kind of want to see Kaiser tell him somehow that his childhood was just as fucked up as Noa's where he had to play soccer to get out of jail.

¡Shidou’s hcs and character analysis!

PHYSICAL TOUCH!! Friends, lovers or even just acquaintances, he has the bad habit of seeking touch, small or big doesn’t matter. From shoving to fidgeting. It’s different obviously base on the relationship you have with him. Are you two friends? Expect playful shoves, ruffling each other’s hair, if sat together legs or shoulders will touch casually. He is the type of person to laugh and slap your shoulder while laughing. 

If you two are lovers: hand holding (he does that thing of rubbing his thumb on the back of your hand), kisses, hair ruffling, legs intertwined, hugs from the back, nibbling/biting. Pressing his forehead against yours. SQUEEZES. Especially if you have more fat on you, he would *love* it. The need to hold you close and squish your rolls or chub. 

I personally see him as unlabelled. I know a lot like to hc him as gay. And it does make sense, but one can flirt with guys and it doesn’t erase the possibility of being into women too. That said, I do believe he has a preference for guys, especially aesthetically, but ultimately his choice of a partner would be base on mental compatibility and aesthetic attraction, no gender. I feel he is into someone who truly enjoys being their true self and doesn’t conform to society norms, more on this in a sec.

He is complex, as we see glimpses of this in the “egoist bible” and during his internal dialogue (like in the U20 arc). I don’t think he would be a bad boyfriend, but neither would he be perfect. Objectively speaking, he does have a rough, almost explosive side. But that’s a side he brings onto the football field. How he is outside of football we don’t really know. He is shown to be someone who values uniques, and also strength, complimenting other players strengths. He is not a demon, he just so happens to be a human with a deep complex personality. He seems to value peace in his life outside of football, which is something you don’t expect from him. Because he gets presented as this brute individual and yet he is the same who pops out this answers: “What made you cry recently?” At the end of the day when I become nothing, tears come out.

“How would you spend your day off?” Be free from everything and become nothing

His answers are, intense, are they not? Which leads me to several thoughts. 1) He is very lonely. Using humour and anger to defend himself, a common trait of children who were abused, neglected in their childhood.

2) base on this, I feel in a relationship he would enjoy someone who has similar vibes to him but ultimately is different. Someone he can be chaotic with, someone he can laugh as loud as he wants, someone with who he can gossip and still have deep conversations at the same time. Ultimately, an artistic partner would be the best. Not only because he is into art, mostly as a way to cool down and shut down his brain, but because an artist or even a writer can see the world under different shades of colours rather than in greyscale. Classical introverted x extrovert duo, with the exception that the introvert individual becomes as extrovert as him when they are alone. His partner is his ancor. He will need to feel at peace from the turmoil inside of him. 

3)his home life was not the happy kind. Now, this has been long speculated and I will give my 50 cents on the matter. Let’s analyse his favourite movie, manga and song: 

Music > hide. Especially "Pink Spider" 

Movie > "A Clockwork Orange" 

Manga > "Chainsawman"

On the base line all three explore the darker sides of humanity, the need for personal freedom, and the consequences of defying societal norms. They create a raw and intense narrative about self-destruction, survival, and transformation.

But if we dive deeper > the movie mainly depicts SA, it’s a twist mix of violence, societal injustices and lack of free will… “Chainsaw man” it’s all about violence, power imbalance and manipulation. Denji was a tool from the start to end (again, lack of free will). The song, explored themes of internal chaos, the darkness in humanity, destruction and emotional turbulence and the psychological tool that that violence and abuse leaves on people.  I mean… can it be any more obvious? His whole character is shown to be this brute, rude, violent individual but slowly we are being feed details into his insight. Like how deeply philosophical he is, artistic and yet he is genuinely over sexualised. Maybe is a reach, but I don’t think that movie, the song and the manga choice are casual. They are a mirror image into the possibility that his childhood was pretty much terrible. That his sexual comments, which come off as almost distasteful, and feel icky in a way, are a projection of what he went through. Trying to use a distorted sense of humour and the violence he grew up with, to shield himself from what’s his personal life and past.

Like when he was locked up, his reaction was intense. He was close to begging to be set free. Again— lack of freedom, he hates not being able to be free. Something could have been taken away from him in the past. Maybe is as simple as a culture thing— as we know Japan is a rather modest country with certain unspoken rules. Its traditional outlook on things such as gender and sexuality are the total opposite of Shidou’s persona. His appearance is loud, his personality is loud and it alls screams “look at me I’m here” and yet at the end of the day he is still a lonely being.

I recently reread the U20 chapter where he enters on the field. His inner monologue he uses biology (specifically fertilization) as an analogy to scoring. Many people interpret it as him making a connection to sex, but for me, it didn’t read as such. Maybe it’s my literature student nerd ass, but, I took from his inner monologue a sense of need in terms of leaving a mark onto this world. He speaks how art leaves a mark, so does books, buildings and obviously children, showing the family legacy. Proof that something existed before them.

Shidou feels that his legacy, his needs, are validated through scoring. He feels seen, people are cheering. He is leaving a mark. Which ultimately could be validating a lack of emotional attention he received when he was a child. To me, all of these references and the constant sexual innuendos are a meaning for something deeper. We saw how each character with a heavy backstory has a trait or something in them that screams “something is not right”. Like Rin’s personality being a result of what happened between him and Sae.
