Sammy from 4ever Celebi reminds me of your ‘sona. Thots?
thats professor oak! sammy (samuel oak) is one of my favorite characters in the pokemon anime. i think he has a lot of interesting underlying character thats sprinkled throughout information we get from other characters, and thats always been the sort of character i enjoy.
i like learning about someone from the people who knew them, admire them or had rivalries with them. i think that learning about someone you can never meet the former version of is cool! and most of all i think professor oak is a nice old man so yeahg

The Base / The Eye of the Earth / Regional Control Center (RCC) / Gaia

It was SO riveting to come through here for the first time. The mystery, the discovery, the MUSIC. It's so sweet and sad, hopeful and effusing. Seeing Gaia again, she is literally radiant and so beautiful, this scene makes me actually cry 😭. Apart from Elisabet, Gaia is the only mother figure i feel Aloy has, so seeing her again is such a relief.

... If Reshiram had its way, at least.
(Don't. don't mind the outfit. I tossed it together for the meme. It will likely change in the future)
Based off of the "everyone in Mckinney is dead" meme.
(Program: Krita; time taken: about 1 hr. 45 minutes [way too long])

the canonical sibling novel age differences are 2-3 years for the Jiang siblings and the Twin Jades, and 5-6 for the Nie bros, so the fatal journey casting was spot on. (remembering that post about how the novel describes nmj as being in his early teens when his dad died...my stomach hurts.)
They put a BABY in charge of an ENTIRE HIGHLY-MARTIAL SECT and made him commit to an ancestral blood curse!!! 😭😭😭
(And then I wonder WHY they would do that, because aside from being very tragic… if these are martial arts sects, shouldn’t there be some meritocracy? Why is it assumed that sect leadership will pass down a direct family line like a rulership of a fiefdom, even when the heir is a literal child like NMJ and JL or fully unqualified as NHS is? There was truly nobody with the Nie name more capable at saber cultivation than the guy who steadfastly avoided engaging with it and who eschews responsibility in general? No cousin or uncle or auntie more qualified to teach saber cultivation to disciples than the old sect leader’s grieving 14-year-old child who watched his father die of qi deviation? Okay.)

I keep seeing people respond to the Microsoft Recall bullshit with there's an ability to disable it and that misses the point. Several points in fact.
It's only a matter of time until an update bugs/"bugs" it and re-enables it without warning so people who had previously disabled it think they're in the clear until their info is leaked or they get a warning they're low on storage space.
If people don't have admin rights, they may not be able to disable it. Laptops given by work or school lock down what people can do with them, some going as far as dictating which browser one has to use on them. Even if you don't need admin rights to disable Recall, you may not have the ability to do so without losing the laptop and/or job and/or education.
I'm unsure of how it would handle multiple accounts but if it can be locked by someone else to always be enabled, children and people in abusive situations would also be unable to disable it. Even if it can't be locked, disabling it could result in punishment from a parent or the abuser.
Is it really disabled or is it "disabled" in that what the user sees is it being disabled while it's still collecting information and/or sending information to Microsoft in the background?
Such a feature should never have been automatically enabled in the first place. It's bad, predatory design to have such a feature enabled from the start and to expect users AKA customers to go out of their way to look up and then opt-out of something.
If disabling it really disables it, it can still result in stress and concern that it's not. The vast majority of people do not have the skills or knowledge to look into the OS guts to give themselves peace of mind that it really truly is disabled.
I'm sure I'm missing some, too.
TLDR is disabling is a bandaid someone else may rip off for you, someone may hurt you if you use, it may not work at all except as a placebo, and should have never been needed in the first place.

told coworkers i was going on break. handed one my scanner cause he needed it. manager asks what im doing. im going on break. can't go on break til j gets back which is funny because c is going to his lunch when j gets back. so. the number of people here will not change. i try to explain this. she shuts me down. im standing there awkwardly trying to figure out what i can do without a scanner. she tells me to do something i need a scanner for. the scanner exchanged happened directly in front of her. i tell her i do not have one. i gave mine to w. we do not have enough for everyone. she hands me her scanner and walks away. it takes 25 minutes for j to get back. nothing fucking happens during this time that strictly requires me to be there to help. im not even mad at j bc we didn't need him. i was also not needed. c literally doesn't care about when he goes on break so he wasn't bothered either. Awesome. im gonna leave 5 early out of spite because i had to put in 15 mins of ppto when i got here due to traffic. even tho i was only 9 mins late

growing up in florida just means constantly feeling like the canary in the coal mine who’s the first to go and I don’t want to come to terms with it because if I do that just makes it all the more real

Ok. Ow. That was a struggle.
Arguably Zero was less of struggle than... *Shudders* Elusive Enforcer, who I am still struggling with and is still leaving in the WIP ditch. But either way yeah. Yeah I think this guy is fine enough ig.

I dunno how i missed this until just now. A six year old got mad at his teacher so he shot her from the gun he probably got from his parents. His parents (or a relative at least) probably decided to “teach them young” and groomed their child into thinking that guns are good.
She’s stable as of right now, at least. I don’t know anything about the kid’s parents yet. All I got was “they could be charged.” Could.
Edit: The gun was from his mom. (The link could automatically play videos with audio on full. I automatically mute before clicking news link now so I don’t know if this one does or not.)
So let’s speedrun through the gun nut’s talking points
“If only there were good six year olds with guns.”
“If only the teachers were armed”
“We need MORE police in school!”
“We need less doors and windows!”
“Why are you blaming the inanimate object (the weapon that’s the cause of the teacher’s injury) instead of the mentally ill shooter?!” (The six year old who was taught how guns works for some reason.)
Edit: “How do YOU plan on enforcing gun control? It’s impossible. (Ignore every country where gun control works please.)” (England, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.)
Edit 2: Apparently gun nuts can’t read because I still got the dumbass “how do you plan to enforce gun control?!” question from multiple people.

Your writing is always great, I need you to write something to either making us optimistic about the future of the club or to make us realize how much in deep shit we actually are please 😭
Babe, just browse through my La Liga 2022/2023 tag and mourn with me. 💕
#funnily enough I’d say this: we’ve been in deep shit since FOREVER.#the way Barcelona works (ie deep issues within structure and management) goes back DECADES.#we are spectacularly mismanaged and unprofessional on top of having a victim hood complex.#the environment - whether mediatic or politic - surrounding the club is an utter and disfunctional nightmare.#in every club’s environnement there has existed corruption and favouring friends in positions you want them in#but it is especially the case for this club.#needless to say I am not saying all of fcb’s issues stem solely from itself and no exterior factors have ever influenced it.#a historically left wing club / figure head for a region/independentism movement / opposing centralism which controls the league/refs etc.#however as culers we tend to majorly - and rightfully - highlight the latest part without ever daring to question our precious multimil club#both factors (internal and external) have to be taken into account to understand ‘the deep shit’.#that said now. as I’ve said this *is not new*. we’ve had those issues for DECADES and yet this club became what it is today.#we’ve reached highest of highs and lowest of lows while dealing with aforementioned factors.#so my very tired take this evening is to chill out; nothing we can do but watch unfold.#perhaps once again La Masia youngsters and lucky choices of coach will drag us up. perhaps new political president conflict still battling#over cruyff’s heritage or against it will bring forth a good one; perhaps not.#overall a very Chill to us all.#we’re facing greatness and decadence and been on both sides of the coin; and there’s reassurance in knowing in both case we still did great.#this club has been rotting since mid 50s and you just have to roll with it and wait for the cycles to come and go.#anon ask#sorry it doesn’t make much sense rn I’ll talk about it more later. or NOT
