Regenerative Agriculture
Interpreting the principles of regenerative agriculture through Hermetic culinary philosophy involves looking at these principles in a holistic manner, considering the interconnectedness of the elements involved in food production and consumption.
1. Stop tilling the soil:
- Interpretation: In Hermetic philosophy, soil represents the foundation, the "earth" element that nourishes and sustains life. By refraining from tilling the soil, you respect and preserve its natural balance and vitality.
- Application: Just as in Hermeticism, where tilling the soil disrupts the natural flow of energy and balance, in culinary practice, avoiding excessive manipulation of ingredients preserves their inherent qualities and flavors.
2. Never leave bare soil:
- Interpretation: Leaving soil bare symbolizes a lack of nurturing and protection. In Hermetic philosophy, everything is interconnected, and leaving soil bare disrupts the natural harmony and fertility of the earth.
- Application: Similarly, in culinary philosophy, ensuring that ingredients are utilized fully and respectfully without waste reflects the principle of abundance and completeness.
3. More plant/crop diversity is better than less:
- Interpretation: Diversity is a key principle in Hermeticism, reflecting the idea of balance and harmony in all aspects of life. Just as different elements complement each other to create harmony in Hermetic philosophy, a diverse range of plants/crops promotes ecological balance and resilience.
- Application: Embracing a variety of ingredients in cooking not only enhances the nutritional value of a dish but also honors the interconnectedness of nature, reflecting the principle of unity in diversity.
4. Integrate livestock & cropping systems:
- Interpretation: Integration symbolizes the unity of different elements working together in harmony for the greater good. In Hermetic philosophy, the interplay of different forces is essential for balance and growth.
- Application: Incorporating livestock and cropping systems in agriculture mirrors the concept of a harmonious blend of flavors and textures in culinary creations. Just as diverse ingredients come together to create a delicious meal, integrating livestock and crops fosters a sustainable and regenerative agricultural ecosystem.
By aligning the principles of regenerative agriculture with Hermetic culinary philosophy, you can cultivate a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness between food production, nature, and the principles that guide both disciplines.

Biology of Inkfish - Health
Notably, neocephalopods only possess an innate immune system and completely lack an adaptive immune system as seen in most fish - their immune systems are “non-learning”. This means that cephalings do not form immunities to diseases, nor do their immune systems protect them from diseases they have endured before. In comparison to organisms with an adaptive immune system, vaccines are redundant to cephalings, but on the positive side, allergies do not occur.
Common symptoms of disease in inkfish include headaches, changes in ink consistency, ink droughts, duller tentacle colors, muscle weakness, dizziness, wobbly movements and loss of appetite. Excessive ink bleed, low body temperatures, dry skin, fatigue, loss of coordination and general tiredness are also common symptoms of various infections. Sick individuals usually naturally seek out warm or even hot environments, and may spend excessive time in hot showers, underneath heated blankets or even the oven in ill-advised lapses of judgment. Raising the body temperature helps combat infection and beat illness faster, but can exacerbate symptoms of dehydration and be potentially dangerous to the brain and organs if not controlled.
Infections are easily transmitted through fresh ink or skin contact with other inkfish. As a result, infected inkfish are strictly banned from ink sports, as one Turf War with one infected player will almost certainly infect every player coming in contact with the ink.
Cephalings also encounter many conditions that aren’t necessarily caused by bacteria, such as cancers, muscle tears, beak chipping and growth abnormalities. Growth abnormalities may include quickly manifesting issues such as deep-sea gigantism or splitting or malformation of limbs. Abnormalities in limb growth most often occur when a limb is regenerating, but typically pose no risks.
An inkfish in poor health, mental or physical, will often have thin or droopy tentacles, reduced ink production and dull coloring. Some very common causes for these symptoms can be stress, poor mental health, very poor nutrition or disease.
Tumblr media
[The same inkfish when healthy (A) and when sick (B) exhibiting some common symptoms of illness. The most prominent symptom of any illness is desaturation of the skin.]
Regenerative Abilities
Cephalings are somewhat famous for their regenerative abilities and overall hardiness. Their bodies are incredibly flexible, and they have no bones - making them very impact-resistant. While they often sustain scratches and wounds thanks to their relatively thin skin, their regenerative abilities make up for many of their shortcomings.
In nature, neocephalopods would often lose limbs, from tips of the limbs to entire arms ripped off. This is a type of injury they are well adapted to, to the point that crown tentacles are even routinely cut off and minced for fashion purposes in the modern day. Wounds on the limbs bleed for a short time until the regenerative process begins; in inkfish, this window is even smaller due to ink bleeding out and helping to block the site of injury. Depending on whether the cephaling is healthy and gets proper sustenance, the limb often grows back in less than a year; in smaller species, it may grow back in even just a few months. Although cephalings can regrow their limbs as many times as they have to, it is quite common for mutations to occur, and the arm may split or grow in a strange shape.
Cephalings can regenerate a lot more than their arms - they can also regenerate parts of their organs, brains, and eyes to a lesser degree. Eyes can regenerate fully from shallow wounds, and partially from deeper wounds, to the point that an almost fully demolished eye can regenerate enough tissue to regain the ability to sense light. Minor brain- and heart injuries can also be regenerated, although with a higher margin of error with larger injuries that are still survivable. Damage to a branchial heart* is typically survivable, and the organs usually heal completely over time.
(* The branchial hearts are paired and are responsible for supplying blood to one gill each. Losing one entirely and surviving on just one gill is generally possible, although the reduced respiration poses some challenges.) Large injuries can still be lethal for cephalings. While losing one or more limbs isn’t particularly dangerous, situations where this happens as an effect of a predator attack often leave the cephaling unable to flee and thus cause them to get eaten. Injury to the systemic heart or the brain is also usually lethal within a short period of time. While they can regenerate limbs and organs, they are vulnerable to damage to the torso and mantle and are likely to perish from wounds that involve chunks being ripped off.
Common Ailments
Various ink infections. There are MANY kinds of infections that are caused when bacteria that really shouldn’t be in there get inside the ink sac. This typically causes atypical ink production and consistency, dizziness, possible body pains and ink droughts. Most ink infections are easily identified and are treated with antibiotics or gel that absorbs into the ink veins.
Ink bleed. A state in which ink bleeds out of the ink sac and the body involuntarily. It’s typically caused by the ink ducts being open involuntarily and abnormally, the body producing too much ink, the ink produced being too runny or a combination of several factors. It is usually a symptom of illness or abnormality of the ink sac.
Ink drought. The opposite of ink bleed. An ink drought is a condition where the ink sac produces much less ink than normal, or even none. It usually leads to issues with the muscles and upright posture due to low ink pressure, and usually leads to problems of the ink vein system and dry skin if left untreated.
Poisoning or Envenomation. The most common cases of poisoning are from contact with poisonous creatures, skin contact with chemicals, or from toxin accumulation in seafood. Symptoms of poisoning vary VERY widely based on the toxin, affected species and the amount of toxin absorbed, ranging from mild discomfort and lightheadedness to paralysis and rapid death.
Hypothermia. Low body temperatures are a very common problem within cephalings, especially during colder months. They can be caused by being in environments that are much too cold or consuming too much cold food or drink. Symptoms include drowsiness, shivering, weakness and lethargy. The treatment is simple and consists of warming up the patient, although this should be done gradually.
Malnutrition. Malnutrition is a bigger issue among cephalings than one would assume, and is often caused by either too little food altogether, or not enough meat being consumed. As a lot of modern street food is mostly carbohydrates and is vegetable-based, the overall consumption of meat can dip very low for some cephalings despite their carnivorous nature. Common symptoms include loss of muscle, tiredness and irritation, lightheadedness, consistent hunger, decreased ink production and stunted growth (typically in juveniles).
Muscle weakness. Issues stemming from muscle weakness are very common in cephalings, especially inkfish, which derive a lot of their stability from ink flow. Since cephalings lack real bones, any excessive weakening of the muscles can result in rapid loss of walking and standing ability. Significant loss of muscle function may result from general long-term inactivity, illness, malnutrition, low ink pressure or low ink levels and is quite common. Even slightly extended periods of inactivity or illness sometimes require people to depend on external mobility aids afterwards, and canes especially are a widely used option for countering muscle weakness both short- and long term. Some inkfish counter significant muscle weakness by abandoning bipedalism altogether and turning to spending most of their time in swim form. Some forms of muscle weakness prevent switching between forms altogether, though this occurs mainly in people who stop switching forms for an extended amount of time.
Ink pressure issues. An inkfish’s ink system pulses ink around at a somewhat consistent rate, keeping up the natural flow. An absence or overabundance of ink, ink infections, illness, stress and anxiety as well as a myriad of other things may cause ink pressure to be higher or lower than normal. High ink pressure typically causes restlessness, stiffness and ink bleed, whereas low ink pressure causes wobbliness and unstable movement, lethargy, muscle pain and reduced stamina.
Beak issues. Cephaling beaks grow slowly but indefinitely and need to routinely be filed down if not naturally worn down. If the beak isn't used enough to naturally even out from use, one may run into beak overgrowth. For most people, mild beak overgrowth isn't an issue, and parts of the beak sticking out of the mouth is generally considered inconsequential. More advanced beak overgrowth can become problematic by digging into parts of the buccal mass and causing infections and making eating difficult. This typically occurs with individuals who have fear regarding beak procedures or healthcare. Other common issues with the beak include beak misalignment and brittleness of the beak.
Radular decay. Radular decay occurs when bits of food are stuck between or under the radular teeth, causing infection, and is more common with plant-based food sources. It is prevented by regular cleaning or brushing of the radula. Mild forms may be limited to radular pain and occasional bleeding, but severe radular decay may require the radula to be removed, which significantly limits a cephaling's diet. For perhaps obvious reasons, radular decay is not of significance for species that have no radula.
Sucker infections. Infections of the suction cups are most prevalent in squid, which have chitinous sucker rings which can trap muck, grime and other particles between the ring and fleshy tissue. Alternatively, hooks or rings can grow incorrectly or overgrow if not maintained and dig into the flesh, causing infection. They occur more commonly in people who regularly use their suckers and get them in contact with different things, but often fly under the radar for people who use their suckers for touch-based things less and thus assume that sucker care is irrelevant. Infections of the sucker usually cause pain, bleeding, dryness and potential shriveling up of the infected suckers, where severe infections can cause individual sucker necrosis and spread to the whole limb. Crown tentacle infections are particularly dangerous in that the infection can easily spread to the brain. In situations where a sucker is badly infected, it is typically precautionary to remove the sucker, a part of the limb or the whole limb, as it is often safer and more convenient to replace an inflamed sucker than it is to wait for infection to subside.
Conditions and Mutations
Tumblr media
[Three common limb mutations, the most common types of significant mutation among cephalings. Limb mutations can occur as part of a genetic condition or by chance during regeneration of a limb. With the modern prevalence of tentacle cutting, it is said that up to 40% of limb regenerations involve some form of mutation. Pictured are A. branching, B. anemonism and C. blanking.]
White Beak. The color of the inkfish beak especially varies greatly in its ratio of black and white. While the base of the beak is always pale, ancestral squid and octopus beaks were mostly dark in the exposed area. In modern inkfish, a common mutation makes the beaks almost entirely pale, which also has the effect of them being softer in comparison. In the current day, predominantly white beaks are more common than black beaks are, although the majority of people will have some form of gradient in beak color and hardness. In a big part of the population, this comes with a larger risk factor for beak chipping and limitations for food hardness, though it also reduces the risk of beak overgrowth in comparison to black beaks. Brittle beaks are usually treated primarily with a threshold for maximum food hardness and beak polish to protect the surface of the beak, whereas beak chipping is usually handled by attaching artificial parts to the beak to shield it during regrowth or filing the rest of the beak to be level with the chipped segment. Cracks in a beak can be filled in with a hardening filler substance that conceals the crack and strengthens the beak.
Color Lock. Some cephalings are born without some of their ink sac chemicals, which limits the colors of ink they can mix - some extreme cases are limited to just one color. Aside from the inconvenience of having limited ink colors, the mutation is harmless. In some cases, people may choose to treat color lock by ingesting dyes to color their ink to whatever the situation calls for. Sometimes, color lock can be caused temporarily by a disease or underlying health condition, but permanent color lock is only genetic.
Ink Wither. A condition in which the ink sac produces very little ink, and may stop producing ink completely. It causes permanent ink drought, though ink drought on its own is usually a temporary symptom caused by a myriad of things. Although ink wither usually exists from birth due to unusual development of the ink sac or other related complications, it is sometimes caused when an ink drought caused by other triggers, such as disease, dehydration, bacterial infections or malnutrition, is prolonged and becomes chronic. It is treated mostly through artificial ink refills, ink soak therapy* and external mobility aids due to low ink levels often causing complications with stability.
(*Ink soak therapy is a treatment in which an inkfish bathes in a shallow tub or dish of ink. Prolonged contact with large amounts of ink has been proven to stimulate the body's own ink production, so it is an effective remedy for some instances of ink drought and also helps absorb ink into the system.)
Ink Boom. An opposing condition to ink wither in which the ink sac produces excessive amounts of ink and continues to do so even when full. It usually co-occurs with chronic ink bleed. The severity of the condition determines difficulty of the treatment; in cases of slightly above-average ink production, attention to hydration and sufficient purging of ink throughout the day may be enough to manage the condition, whereas high-producing cases may require constant monitoring and frequent hospital stays. In most affected people, the severity of the condition varies on environmental or other factors and may come in episodes. Ink boom is a condition often developed by long-term ink battlers due to frequent usage of large amounts of ink, but may develop throughout childhood or in adulthood, where it most often develops from substance use or stress. Typical symptoms include comorbid chronic ink bleed, stiffness, swelling under the skin, dehydration, malnutrition and restlessness. Treatments include purging of excess ink to avoid buildup, monitoring hydration and nutrition levels, medications to relax the ink sac or, in extreme cases, removal of the ink sac, which imposes dependence on externally sourced ink but eliminates the root cause. Ink boom sometimes occurs temporarily as a comorbidity to various health complications, and is sometimes a precursor for progressing into ink wither later in life.
Branching. Branching is a state where the limbs split and branch at the ends to form new ones continuously. Branching can be developed at birth, upon which it is typically permanent. A person with branching will typically have their limbs split into two or more growths upon the tip being cut off, or a new branch may start growing out of a non-injured limb arbitrarily. It can affect all the limbs or just some of the limbs, but an inkfish with genetic branching will always develop branches on a limb, even if cut off and regrown, although the size and position of the branching may change and vary. In individuals where only some limbs are affected, cutting off an unaffected limb will typically spread branching to that limb upon regrowth. Consequently, there are many people that are unaware of having the condition due to having no external traits until a limb is first regenerated. Some people may develop temporary branching as a result of stress, or randomly while regenerating a limb. Branches can be removed by cutting off branches and burning the root tissue to prevent regeneration, although this is done primarily for cosmetic reasons due to branching of the limbs being generally inconsequential health-wise.
Anemonism. A common genetic mutation that causes more than the usual amount of limbs to form. In most cases, it manifests in the form of additional crown tentacles, but there are sometimes extra arms or legs. The rarity goes up with the amount of extra limbs present; it is quite common for inkfish to have one or two extra crown tentacles, for example. It differs from branching in that the new limbs originate straight from the body with complete or partially complete muscle groups, rather than branching off from an existing limb. New limbs do not grow in later in life, although the onset depends on the type of anemonism; additional locomotive limbs are present from birth, whereas additional crown tentacles will grow in with the rest of the tentacle crown. Conditions where one or more of the limbs or crown tentacles are absent are considered a subset of anemonism, usually referred to as reverse anemonism.
Blanking. A somewhat rare condition which causes less or no suction cups to form, resulting in greatly reduced amounts of suckers and a signature “blank tentacles” look. It is usually present from birth, although similar effects may occur in regenerated limbs for people without the condition. It affects both the crown tentacles and the graspers; some people may only have a few suckers, some people may have none at all, and it may affect different limbs disproportionately or only affect some of the limbs. It is most noticeable in octolings, although it occurs in all sucker-bearing cephalings. In decapods, it often causes the tentacular clubs to form in unusual shapes or not form at all, and commonly results in oddly shaped or missing sucker rings. People with the condition often have comorbidities affecting the suckers, such as splitting, asymmetry, stunted development of the sucker or dulled chemoreception. For people with blanking, cutting off and regenerating limbs still produces reduced suction cup numbers, and developing other regenerative limb abnormalities is quite common. It is a condition that doesn’t require medical treatment, although people for whom it affects the graspers may benefit from specialized equipment for fingerless species.
General Limb Abnormalities. Extra limbs, missing limbs, extra suckers or missing suckers, limbs with no hand or multiple hands per limb - the list goes on. There is a plethora of limb abnormalities within neocephalopods, and they are not actually that uncommon; roughly one in 5 inkfish has something of the sort at some point of their life. Oftentimes, extra limbs, suckers or arms are at least partially or even fully functional. Many limb abnormalities are permanent and present from birth, while the most common ones can develop at any time, usually resulting from damage to a limb. People with one type of genetic limb abnormality are also likely to have other coexisting conditions; for example, anemonism and blanking often co-occur.
Kraken Syndrome. Kraken Syndrome is a psychological condition where the Kraken response* triggers dangerously easily. This condition occurs when the body is conditioned to frequent Kraken transformations to the point where the brain becomes exponentially more receptive to triggers for Krakening and thus dramatically lowers the threshold for natural Kraken episodes to occur. When this threshold is low enough, the Kraken is triggered abnormally easily and Kraken Syndrome is diagnosed. It is treated mainly with exposure therapy, mood stabilizing medication, depressants and sedatives, and specific medications that induce fatigue or physically weaken the body enough to prevent physical Krakening. It is highly comorbid with anxiety disorders, which also often function as triggers. Kraken Syndrome became widely documented in the late 2010’s, almost uniquely among frequent users of the Kraken special weapon. It is not to be confused with the rare condition where the Kraken form is able to be triggered at will with no psychological effects; this is not a type of Kraken Syndrome as it involves a voluntary transformation as opposed to a lowered threshold for involuntary uncontrolled transformations.
(* The Kraken response occurs with the fight-of-flight response of inkfish and correlates with a threshold of emotional distress that triggers the transformation. During a Kraken transformation, the inkfish becomes aggressive and disoriented, ink production is drastically increased, ink builds in the muscles and tissues increasing the individual's size, and a deimatic display is forced, often creating a high-contrast pattern. It isn't a panic reaction in itself and not all panic reactions inherently lead to a Kraken episode, but some degree of extremely high anxiety and desperation or anger are mandatory for a Kraken to trigger. The threshold that a Kraken triggers tends to vary based on person, but it generally requires an extremely high-stress situation with imminent threat. In general circumstances, the average inkfish will probably Kraken zero to three times in their life.)
Tumblr media
[An image detailing the differences between typical emotional agitation required to trigger the Kraken response between unaffected individuals and those with Kraken syndrome. The special charge state is considered the basic state of agitation when special weapons become usable due to increased metabolic rates and high ink production. The Kraken response is typically far above the average person's typical agitation levels and triggers only in extremely dire situations. Usage of the Kraken drug for Turf Wars artificially lowers that threshold for the transformation itself to roughly the same threshold as the special charge state. Frequent transformations under the influence of the drug do not trigger the psychological disorientation and other effects of the Kraken, but they are still generally detected by the body and brain as an emergency situation, which lowers the natural threshold for natural Krakening over a long period of transformations to compensate for frequent threats. This causes an effect where even minor agitation may trigger the brain into a full-blown Kraken transformation in response to a nonexistent threat and is the case for people with Kraken syndrome. High-strung Kraken syndrome is diagnosed when the threshold for Krakening is so low that it co-occurs with the natural special charge state of the individual or even before that emotional threshold.]
Deep-Sea Gigantism. Shortened often to DSG, deep-sea gigantism is a sudden growth spurt caused by high long-term stress levels. It is a defensive response to unfamiliar or threatening life situations, mostly fueled by hormonal changes in the body in the long term. DSG gets its common name due to its prevalence in people moving in or out of the Deepsea, in which case it is often triggered by extreme change in pressure levels, disorientation through change in environment and general stress of moving, which captures a lot of common triggers for the condition. The name isn’t to say that the underground or -water are the only conditions where it occurs; it may occur as a response to any type of long-term stress, anxiety, frequent threatening situations or even some medications. The main symptom of deep-sea gigantism is unnatural, accelerated growth that might be dismissed in the short term and only becomes apparent within the span of months where it becomes clear that the pace is abnormal, and it is common to outgrow the typical size estimates for one’s species under long-term DSG. Other symptoms include increased hunger and appetite, fatigue, rapid muscle gain, headaches and general disorientation. The condition may be self-fueling due to the body directing most of the energy into growth and thus causing potential deficiencies elsewhere. Long-term instances of DSG with significant growth may also cause issues and comorbid conditions to develop due to the growth of the body and the growth of the organs and ink sac often being disproportionate. Deep-sea gigantism differs from regular gigantism in that it is a temporary (albeit often long-lasting) condition that has external triggers as opposed to a permanent condition. It is typically treated with anti-stress medication, eliminating underlying root causes, and limiting energy intake. Short periods of DSG often go entirely unnoticed, but longer periods are highly problematic due to the increase in body size not being reversible.
Hyperchromatophorism. Casually referred to as hi-chrom, it is a type of hyperpigmentation that causes chromatophore amounts in excess and causes the skin to be abnormally brightly colored in adult individuals where chromatophores are typically sparse. It is different from late onset of mature chromatophore sparsening due to the density of chromatophores being drastically higher to begin with. Usually, hyperchromatophorism is present from birth and affects either the whole body or large areas of the body, causing vivid colors and patterns to display across the whole body or areas of the body rather than just the crown tentacles. The intensity of these colors depends on the individual, and the condition may be light and only cause slightly increased saturation in parts of the body, or it can cause the entire body to be a solid color. It is mirrored by hypochromatophorism, which is a partial or complete lack of chromatophores in an area, and is about as common as the former but less noticeable due to mainly being visible in the crown tentacles. Either condition can occur in people without the conditions in areas where skin regenerates, and is quite common with large wounds.
Chronic Ink Bleed. Chronic ink bleed is a condition where excessive amounts of ink seep through the skin and the ink ducts are permanently, or predominantly, open. It is a consistently repeating or constant presence of the ink bleed condition which varies in severity based on whether the ink ducts are permanently open or only frequently open. Chronic ink bleed almost always co-occurs with chronic dehydration, low ink levels, malfunctions of the ink sac and ink system and mobility issues stemming from ink loss. It is usually managed with means that prevent or lessen ink evaporation; absorbent body wear, lotions that clog ink ducts around the skin or other medications that force the ink ducts to close, or alternatively frequent ink refills often administered by portable machines intravenously. Inkfish with chronic ink bleed often fare poorly in areas with dry air. Significant and long-lasting ink bleed is often a symptom of illness, and it may turn chronic after severe episodes of sickness. Chronic ink bleed can be a birth condition or it may develop later in life; late onset is often seen in professional Turf War players. It may also develop as a side effect of medication, unrelated illness, high stress or anxiety levels or hormonal imbalance, although in these cases it is typically reversible.
Color dysfunction. Color dysfunction is a condition where the color-changing skin cells aren’t under conscious control, and cycle colors randomly. It doesn’t apply to dead or inactive chromatophores as the affected cells are alive and active, but the ability to control them is absent, limited, or leads to inaccurate displays. Cephalings with the condition have highly variable skin patterns, from constantly cycling colors in no particular order, spontaneous deactivation or activation of the skin cells, or colors that somewhat correlate with emotion or activity but still have no conscious control. People with color dysfunction may have it across the entire skin, or it may be isolated to specific patches of the body while other areas have controllable pigment cells. It may also develop in areas where skin regenerates for people that do not have it as a pre-existing condition. It is most often present from birth, but sometimes develops later in life in response to stress, brain damage or psychological conditions, where it may be permanent or subside with time. Symptoms also often arise temporarily as a response to drugs, medications or high stress situations. Color dysfunction has a high occurrence rate alongside different psychological conditions and is presumed to be a mismatch of electrical signals in the brain to what is actually displayed on the skin, or overall dysfunction of the center that dictates color change.
Color stasis. Color stasis is a subtype of color dysfunction where the color-changing cells are alive but permanently deactivated involuntarily. It differs from chromatophore atrophy or chromatophore death in that cells are not dead, but deactivated. It is caused by inactivity of the brain center in charge of color change, whether that is due to an absence, partial inactivity or nerve damage to parts of the body or brain. It can be present from birth or develop later, typically due to brain damage or substance abuse. It may also extend to all skin or only be present in select areas or patches of skin. People without the pre-existing condition sometimes develop individual patches of color stasis in areas where skin regenerates.

Xenangelus imperator, or "worldeaters", are a race of psychic, hypercarnivorous nomads with incredible power over space. Using their minds to open portals across the Gamble Galaxy and even between dimensions, they perpetually travel to find enough sustenance to support their metabolic needs.
Their abilities and elusive nature make them an almost mythical race: feared by many, venerated by others, and paralleled by nearly nobody at all. But two things are known for sure: their "imago" adults are kinda terrifying and their "nymph" juveniles are just so darn cute and fluffy.
(More specbio lore under the cut!)
They don't have any clear relation to other sapient races in the Gamble Galaxy, whether based on morphology, their distinctive life stages, or other fascinating biology.
Not only are they a self-cloning unisex organism, mutating and diversifying based on what they consume as larvae, but they also lack bones and many common structures. They breathe through spiracles found all over their bodies, feed by using their "feeding tentacles" to externally digest and absorb prey, and echolocate using frequencies emitted by the primary brain in their torsos. Finally, they communicate heavily through telepathy, able to not only speak but also share images and sensory information this way. Powerful imagos can create entire illusionary landscapes composed of their memories, or directly influence the dreams of others.
Despite appearing mammalian, they miss the criteria for that in many ways, and based on their life stages, are more similar to arthropods. Larvae hatch from soft-shelled eggs (produced at will by adults and "coughed" out of a feeding tentacle), then voraciously dissolve and consume carcasses provided by their parent/caretaker. They generally look like Fecto Forgo up there, but are far smaller and are mentally more like... toddlers, rather than a baleful adult trapped in a massive larval body. After a couple months, they then cocoon and later emerge as a nymph, or the life stage that Elfilin is at. Nymphs are more in line with the children and teenagers of other races, steadily developing their psychic and spatial powers: they tend to stay close to their caretaker as they grow and learn. It takes them about 40 to 50 years to fully mature, growing horns and talons as their wings complexify and facial + wing markings develop. Adult worldeaters, or imagos, are unparalleled apex predators. They know no rivals in aerial movement and combat, able to fly at an upwards of 90 miles per hour in short bursts. Their regenerative powers and ability to manipulate space with their minds make them the truly mythical beings they're seen as: worldeaters are a race that will pick fights with Dark Matter and win.
Mercifully, worldeaters tend to avoid feeding on other sapient beings, and so unless wronged or starving, generally aren't malicious. They live alone or in small flocks of three to ten individuals, related or otherwise. Worldeaters constantly use telepathy to speak and exchange information among their own, so existing alongside non-psychic races can be difficult for them. But, once in a blue moon, you might find one living in a mixing-pot society...

How Tatsuki Fujimoto writes Affection
First of all I would like to give massive credit to Tiktok user @campaign_baby for their Tiktok I saw on this that really made me think of it alot more
I will Bring up Examples from:
Shikaku
Mermaid Rhapsody
Goodbye Eri
Fire Punch
Chainsaw Man Part 1 (Quite a big spoiler in this will give fair warning)
Fujimoto has a sort of strange method he uses to write that a character Loves/cares deeply for someone. And its The character either being willing to be consumed or to provide sustenance to someone, Or to consume the other person. Examples:
Shikaku
After Shikaku confesses her love for Yucel, He rushes to the hospital to offer her his blood, Making her into an immortal vampire just like him. Yucel has also fallen for Shikaku, its basically his confession of love, He wants to live with her Forever.
Tumblr media
Its drawn in a way you can tell its such an act of compassion too.
Mermaid Rhapsody
"I loved her so much that I thought, If it was by someone with a smile as pretty as hers, Maybe being eaten wouldn't be so bad."
Toshihides Dad feels the exact same way about his Mom as Toshihide feels about Shijyu. Mermaids eat humans, But that never mattered to either of them.
Tumblr media
Goodbye Eri
Tumblr media
In Yuutas Movie about Eri, He writes her to be a Vampire, because he wouldnt actually mind to be her sustenance, In his movie, he loves Eri so much. (I genuinely cant read this fucking story without sobbing, Rereading it again just to get this screengrab just made me cry for like 20 min help)
Fire Punch
This one is Pretty straight forward, Agni with his regenerative powers feeds his village by continuously chopping of his Arm so they dont all starve to death. But more importantly he does this to prevent his sister from doing it aswell. He doesnt want her to suffer that pain so he takes sole responsibility for providing himself to the village.
Tumblr media
Agni also later feeds his followers with the help of Togata Chopping of the part of his face that isnt on Fire. I think this has more todo with making sure Togata gets fed rather than his followers, To Agni Togata means alot.
⚠️Chainsaw Man Part 1 (Spoilers for the Final arc)⚠️
When Power is about to Die, Power not only offers her own blood For Denji to Drink so he can get back to health, But Pochita also offers a small part of himself so she can come back as a Powerful Devil.
And ofcourse the big one is Denji Eating Makima. He obviously has to and all for the sake of erasing her. But he explicitly says it wasnt an Attack, It was an act of Love.
Tumblr media
Its such a fascinating thing that the idea of consuming someone can be concidered something you do to a cherished one, as an affectionate thing. I guess as Denji mentions that you basically become one with eachother in a way if you consume them.
But this is such a Weird thing Right? Where does this idea even originate from? Well ofcourse we can only Speculate but I really think he took on inspiration from his own life here, Because he has actually done this to someone he loved. Yes, Seriously.
Tatsuki Fujimoto eating his deceased Pet Fish
In the Authors notes for "Tatsuki Fujimoto Before Chainsaw Man: 22-26" Fujimoto shares a story from when he was 24:
"Even though we were poor, we had a pet Japanese rice fish. I found it dead one summer. I went to toss its body into the trash like in Parasyte, but my girlfriend said she wanted me to bury it, So off I went to the park, alone. I tried to bury it under this big tree, but the ground was too hard, my hands got all dirty and I had no hole to show for my effort. Out of Options, I figured I would pretend I had buried the fish and left it lying there on top of the ground. As I watched it for a little while, ants found the body and began to carry it away. Im not sure what came over me, but in that moment, love for that pet fish welled within me for the first time. I brushed the ants away, and then Ate it."
You can read the full story here
Tumblr media
It has that "Wait what the hell am I reading" Charm to the story like alot of his works, But theres something so weirdly beautiful about this story, Somehow stricken with grief and love for this fish, He ate it. As Denji says, its not an attack, his fish is part of him now and its an act of love. So strange, yet so Beautiful.
Anyways thanks for reading this insanely long post if you even got this far I appreciate it!

Hotaru has a lot of rabbit imagery for a variety of reasons ranging from the obvious one of being a prey animal, then to the more culturally significant facet of it, which is the myth of the moon rabbit.
The TLDR of the story goes that a god was in the guise of a mortal man and needed sustenance. The rabbit struggled to gather anything of use for the old man, and instead requisitioned its companions to light a fire so it could cook itself to feed the old man. The old man was a god in disguise and was touched by the rabbit's sacrifice, and thus gave it a prestigious ascension to the moon so humanity would be reminded of its compassion.
Hotaru, despite the manner in which he tries to portray himself as cruel, is every bit as self-sacrificing as that rabbit. It was why he spent so long being abused by Sadao, because he was empathetic enough to identify his suffering and the person he could have been, rather than who he was. To Hotaru, his own suffering was secondary so long as his love could potentially help Sadao become better. He only left when he was strangled because he'd realized that unfortunately, Sadao had passed a point Hotaru could no longer help. But it hadn't been the first time Sadao had assaulted him, it was just the first time he brushed against death's door, or felt as if it could go that far.
Hotaru, as I've mentioned in past posts, will set himself on fire to keep others warm. There are instances in his narrative where he has taken fatal hits for other people out of sheer panic, even if they're stronger than he is and are more likely to withstand it in a way that he simply can't.
But the fact the rabbit was willing to prepare itself as food also connects to the fact that his curse makes him food for yokai, that his flesh and blood empower them while also tying into the fact that not only was the rabbit cooking itself in the myth, but also that a rabbit is inherently a prey animal. That it is weak, useless, ineffectual like the rabbit in the story who couldn't gather berries and nuts like its monkey companion, nor could it fish like the fox. The rabbit was fundamentally unremarkable and lacked strength, just as Hotaru himself does, but what set the rabbit apart and granted it favor from the deity was the depths of its kindness and its willingness to sacrifice itself.
This is, thusly, the 'toll' part of his url. Essentially the rabbit's toll, the weight of what it means to consistently sacrifice one's self to fates which might be otherwise terrifying. Hotaru carries the toll of the moon rabbit, that burden of kindness. But unlike the moon rabbit, Hotaru hasn't seen the reward for his kindness, only this regenerative immortality and stifling loneliness. Of course, his story doesn't end that way, and I feel like I've kind of veered a little off path here, but this is just. Me explaining Hotaru's url and rabbit imagery.
I think what I sincerely love most about Hotaru as a character is that a lot of his traits which are positive are either monetized or obfuscated, but the fact of that matter is that even when he tries to be cruel, he's still the sort of person to instinctively lunge forward to protect someone else or will stop what he's doing to lend a helping hand if someone sincerely needs it.
His base nature is one of kindness and even if he tries to portray himself as cruel and unfeeling and embittered and nasty with nary a kind word to spare, he's still the moon rabbit, he's still someone willing to split his ribcage open even if it means feeding someone else. And when one considers how he's suffered, I think this is what makes Hotaru remarkable, even if he sees this part of his own character as weak.

My understanding is that not all Gallifreyans possess the ability to regenerate. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but if that is the case, does this ever cause tension? Do those without the ability wish they could have it? Do those with the ability wish they could bestow it upon those without it?
How do Gallifreyans deal with regeneration disparities?
🧬 The Fundamentals of Regeneration
Most Gallifreyans possess the capacity for regeneration and are able to do it without help. Obviously, the Time Lords are the best at it, thanks to their advanced biological enhancements and Academy training. Those unable to regenerate are quite rare on Gallifrey, but they do occur.
🚑 The Challenges of Regeneration Disparities
In Gallifreyan society, the inability to regenerate is like a chronic medical condition - often treatable, depending on the nature of the problem. Hospitallers can often help those whose "regeneration packets" are somehow malfunctioning. However, the solutions aren't as straightforward for those completely unable to regenerate.
A complete inability to regenerate can come with other medical issues, simply because regeneration is so intertwined in their biology. People unable to regenerate might find they:
Heal slowly or not at all
Are overly tired
Have to consume more sustenance for energy
Prone to sickness (particularly of the kidneys)
Age quicker
🤝 Tension and Aspiration
Does the lack of ability to regenerate cause societal tension? Absolutely. It's human (or should I say Gallifreyan) nature to yearn for what we don't have, leading to a mix of envy, aspiration, and philosophical debate within the culture. On one end, purists would argue that regeneration is a sacred hallmark of Gallifreyan identity, a privilege that should be preserved and protected. On the other, egalitarians would dream of a Gallifrey where regeneration is a universal gift, a right extending across all societal strata, eliminating the divide and bringing about a more dynamic and diversified society.
💡 A Deep-Seated Biological Trait
But in the end, none of it really matters. Because despite the debate, the truth is that regeneration is not a simple "skill" that can be taught or transferred on a whim. It's a complex, deeply ingrained biological trait, intertwined with the essence of being a Gallifreyan. The idea of transferring regenerative abilities to non-regeneratives is filled with technical and ethical complexities. It would take an act of the greatest love or greatest fear to get a Gallifreyan to transfer their regenerations, and if they wanted to 'gift' their entire ability to regenerate, it's so deep within their DNA you'd have to pretty much rip them apart to get it.

You mentioned that your mutation has traded a more rounded appearance for a more potent healing factor. How much more effective is it? Are there any other side effects to your condition?
"Well, the idea of testing my healing factor in the field is...disconcerting, to say the least. Disconcerting, but provocative.
Tumblr media
"Based on some cellular tests, I'd say it falls somewhat - heh-heh - short of stalwart Wolverine's healing factor, but greater than what mine once was. Though my body's lipid cells seem to metabolize for the purposes of repai- ah, apologies; I'm rambling...
"My mutation utilizes subcutaneous fat stored in my body as armor, energy reserve, AND regenerative stem cells all at once. Marvelous, really!
Tumblr media
As for side effects, well...the same necessity for consumption of sufficient calories - hyperphagia - seems to apply, and my posture certainly hasn't straightened out. The hunger can be...distracting, incessant. I've taken to having an additional refridgerator in my laboratory for sustenance.
"I suppose it has forced me to take more consistent breaks while I work, else I grow quite drowsy without sufficient food. Kurt has taken to calling me "Blau Bär", on account of eating and hibernation. My mental faculties also seem much more receptive to sugars, though I've always had quite the sweet tooth!
"Part of me wonders...even with the shame and fear to admit it, if that hunger would consume me if left unsated? That I would revert to something...less than pleasant.
"A horrible thought, really... Ursus Horribilus, perhaps? Hah, a little zoological humour to lighten the mood.
"To the point: much like many chronic conditions, 'tis something to be accommodated and managed for - not to be ignored, dreaded or controlled."

Prisoner #: ANM-608-P
Name: Lee Ray
Nickname: "Lee Ray's Secret Santa"
Crimes: Mass murder, corpse concealment, identity fraud
Number of Victims: 489
Subject Class: Anomalous | Darlig 🔴
Description: P-608, formerly known as "Lee Ray," is a 32-year-old Caucasian male with red hair, American descent, standing 2.10 meters tall and weighing approximately 150 kilograms. P-608 was originally incarcerated as a convicted serial killer before his anomalous nature was discovered during routine medical examinations.
P-608 exhibits a unique and highly unusual physical anomaly, a sentient entity resembling a conjoined twin embedded in his upper back, designated as P-608-1. This entity manifests as a distorted and darkened face on the left side of his back, surrounded by several protruding red veins that appear to pulse and exhibit small independent movements. P-608-1's facial features resemble a grimace; it is capable of limited facial expressions and speech.
Psychological Evaluation:
P-608 shows symptoms consistent with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), with P-608-1 assuming a separate and malicious personality that influences P-608's primary consciousness. P-608-1 has been observed exerting control over P-608, forcing him to perform violent and erratic actions. It is believed that the twin has a parasitic relationship with P-608, deriving sustenance from his psychological torment and physical suffering.
Anomalous Properties:
1. Telepathic Manipulation: P-608-1 has a limited form of telepathic manipulation, allowing it to influence individuals within a 10-meter radius. Affected subjects experience intrusive thoughts, usually of a violent or self-destructive nature. Prolonged exposure leads to symptoms of paranoia, hallucinations, and, in extreme cases, psychosis.
2. Enhanced Strength and Resilience: Under the influence of P-608-1, Lee Ray demonstrates increased physical strength and resilience, far beyond that of a normal human. He has been documented enduring injuries that would normally be fatal or debilitating, seemingly without pain or loss of function.
3. Regenerative Abilities: P-608's anomalous biology includes rapid regenerative capabilities, particularly around the conjoined twin area. Injuries inflicted in this region heal at an accelerated rate, preventing attempts at surgical separation or incapacitation of the entity.
Containment Procedures:
P-608 must be kept in a standard humanoid containment cell, reinforced with non-reactive steel alloys and electromagnetic dampeners. The cell must be equipped with continuous audio and video surveillance, with monitoring staff rotation every six hours to prevent P-608-1's telepathic influence.
Interactions with P-608 require authorization from at least two Level 3 personnel, and direct communication should be limited to necessary interviews. Any personnel entering P-608's containment area must wear psychotropic protection helmets and be accompanied by armed security.
Incident Report P-608-Alpha:
Date: ██/██/20██
Details: During a routine psychological evaluation, P-608-1 exhibited unprecedented levels of control, temporarily overriding Lee's primary consciousness and initiating a violent outburst. Three staff members were severely injured, and one succumbed to injuries before P-608 was contained.
Following this incident, containment protocols were revised to include electromagnetic dampeners and increased psychological screening for personnel assigned to P-608.
Background:
Lee Ray was apprehended by authorities after a series of murders in which victims were found with their spinal columns surgically removed. During his trial, Lee Ray exhibited calm and controlled behavior, which changed dramatically when describing the murders, frequently referring to himself in the third person and attributing the crimes to a "voice on his back."
After initial examination under institutional custody, the presence of P-608-1 was confirmed, and it became clear that the entity had been influencing Lee Ray's actions for a long period. It is theorized that the conjoined twin has been part of Lee Ray since birth, possibly a result of an unseparated twin absorbed in the womb and later manifesting in this anomalous form.
Test Records between Lee Ray and Other Anomalies:
Test 608-T01: Interaction with White Death Agent
Objective: Assess Lee Ray's susceptibility to cognitive risks when influenced by P-608-1.
Procedure: Lee Ray was exposed to White Death, a cognitohazardous agent known to cause severe psychological disturbances after exposure to its visual stimuli, used as a memetic effect against MOTHRA targets. The influence of P-608-1 was actively monitored.
Results:
Lee Ray exhibited a notable increase in agitation when White Death was presented. Despite P-608-1’s attempt to mitigate the impact, Lee Ray showed signs of extreme paranoia and confusion. 608-1 tried to exploit the effects of White Death to induce more chaos, but Ray’s increased aggression proved difficult to control. He displayed temporary spikes in strength and resilience, making containment challenging. Post-test evaluation showed no permanent cognitive damage to P-608, but manipulation by his conjoined twin was observed to be significantly heightened under cognitive stress.
Conclusion: P-608 is highly vulnerable to cognitive risks when under the influence of P-608-1, which can potentially amplify the effects of such anomalies. Caution is recommended when conducting similar tests.
Test 608-T02: Interaction with ANM-506 "Angel"
Objective: Determine P-608's ability to interact with ANM-506 and the potential impact of 608-1 on ANM-506’s behavior.
Procedure: Lee Ray was introduced to the containment chamber of ANM-506, with the influence of 608-1 monitored actively. Personnel were instructed to observe from a safe distance.
Results:
ANM-506's behavior remained consistent with previous observations, displaying aggressive movement toward any targets not making eye contact. Under the influence of 608-1, P-608 demonstrated an abnormal ability to predict ANM-506’s movements. Lee Ray was able to evade ANM-506's attacks with what appeared to be supernatural reflexes. ANM-506 showed no abnormal response to the presence of P-608-1. However, Ray’s enhanced abilities made the interaction highly unpredictable and dangerous.
Conclusion: Ray’s enhanced reflexes and prediction abilities make interactions with ANM-506 extremely volatile. 608-1 does not seem to directly affect ANM-506 but increases Lee Ray’s ability to evade the statue’s attacks.
Test 608-T03: Interaction with ANM-122 "Calyx"
Date: ██/██/████
Location: Base 12, Secure Test Cell
Subjects: P-608 (Lee Ray and P-608-1), ANM-122
Lead Researcher: Dr. Gaines
Security Personnel: Foxhound
Objective: Determine the interaction dynamics between Lee Ray and ANM-122 and assess any potential anomalous or synergistic properties that may manifest during the encounter.
[START RECORD]
[00:00:01]
Both P-608 and ANM-122 are contained and placed inside the reinforced test chamber. ANM-122, contained in a specialized hydraulic cage, growls while observing the prisoner, who is several meters away.
P-608-1: (Laughing) Well, well, well, what do we have here? A big, rude alien lizard! This is going to be fun.
ANM-122: Who the hell is talking?
(Lee stands up and turns his back; his parasitic twin watches, smiling.)
P-608: (Remains silent, staring tensely at the floor)
Dr. Gaines: P-608-1, please avoid provoking ANM-122. We are here to observe interactions, not to escalate hostilities.
P-608-1: Oh, come on, doc! You brought us here for a little fun, didn’t you? Besides, I have some presents to give.
ANM-122: (Growling, shaking its restraints) Do you think your pathetic words will affect me? Your filthy parasite. I will devour you and that weakling you hide behind.
P-608-1: Ha! Aggressive! How about a little lesson in humility, big guy? What language would you like it in, hmm? Let’s see… (switches to French) Tu veux parler français, mon gros lézard? (Back to English) Or maybe… (switches to Mandarin) 你想说中文吗?
ANM-122: (Eyes narrowing as it growls louder) Your tricks won’t save you.
P-608-1: Oh, lizard brain can’t appreciate a good show. Fine, how about— (switches to Russian) Привет, ты чудовище! Готовься получить по заслугам. (The accent is heavy and the tone remains mocking)
ANM-122: (Momentarily surprised, then roars violently, charging against its restraints) Enough of your chatter! I will end you!
P-608: (Visibly recoils but remains silent. His fists clench, and he seems to struggle internally.)
Dr. Gaines: Lee Ray, could you communicate with ANM-122?
P-608: (Softly, in English) I… don’t think it’s a good idea, doctor. He’ll get angrier. He always does…
P-608-1: Lee, Lee, Lee, don’t be so pessimistic! We’re just getting started! (Switches to Spanish) ¿Por qué no intentamos un poco de español, eh?
ANM-122: (Growling deeply, trying to free itself from the restraints, the hydraulic restrainers creaking under pressure) Your attempts are futile. I will crush you and that parasitic excuse of a being you cling to.
P-608-1: (Laughing loudly, a harsh and irritating sound) Ah, I love it when they get all riled up. But tell me, big guy, have you ever received a present like this? (The veins around P-608-1 start pulsing with an intense red glow. The individual quickly turns, gritting his teeth and clenching his fists.)
Dr. Gaines: Security, prepare for immediate re-containment. P-608-1 is getting agitated.
ANM-122: You will be eradicated! (Begins to struggle more violently, the sound of metal creaking filling the room.)
P-608-1: (In Arabic, still with a mocking tone) تريد اللعب، يا كبير الزواحف؟ (Back to English) Come on, Lee, let’s show him how we gift people at parties!
P-608: (Shakes his head vigorously) No, no, I don’t want to do this. He’s too strong. I can’t—
P-608-1: Oh, but you will! (Veins pulse faster, and P-608’s eyes briefly glaze over while his body tenses, clearly under the influence of his parasitic twin) Let’s party, right?
ANM-122: (Roars, eyes fixed on P-608, as if recognizing a significant threat) I will make you suffer for your arrogance!
Dr. Gaines: Enough! Initiate sedative gas! We need to end this now!
[00:05:12] The chamber is filled with a powerful sedative gas. P-608 and ANM-122 react, ANM-122 struggling less violently, and Lee Ray falls to his knees, struggling to stay conscious.
P-608-1: (Slurred voice as it fades) Ah... party poopers... but I’ll be back, Lee... I always come back...
P-608: (Gasping, weak voice) Please... just make him stop...
[00:06:30] Both P-608 and ANM-122 are unconscious. Security personnel enter the chamber, securing both entities back into their respective containment units.
[END RECORD]
Post-Test Analysis:
Dr. Gaines: The test revealed that ANM-608-1 is capable of communicating in multiple languages, though it consistently maintains a mocking and provocative tone. Lee Ray himself speaks only English and generally remains quiet and hesitant, showing reluctance to engage in confrontational behavior, especially under the influence of P-608-1. ANM-122’s aggression levels increased significantly when exposed to P-608-1’s provocation, indicating a possible recognition of P-608-1 as a legitimate threat.
Conclusion: Further tests are necessary to determine the full extent of P-608-1’s linguistic capabilities and to assess whether P-608 may ever act independently of P-608-1’s influence. Additional security measures are recommended for any future interactions involving P-608 and other aggressive ANM entities.
Test 608-T04: Interaction with ANM-021 "Dr. Oswaldo Cruz"
Date: ██/██/████
Location: Middle Zone, Secure Humanoid Test Chamber
Subjects: P-608 (Lee Ray and P-608-1), ANM-021
Lead Researcher: Dr. Leonard Matthews
Security Personnel: Shock Troop
Objective: Analyze the interaction between P-608 and ANM-021 and observe any potential conflict or cooperation between the entities, focusing on 021’s perception of Lee Ray’s anomalous nature.
[START RECORD]
[00:00:00]
The test chamber, equipped with reinforced observation windows and security measures, contains ANM-021 sitting at a small table. P-608 is escorted by two guards with his arms restrained. P-608-1 is inactive, showing no immediate signs of agitation.
ANM-021: (Rises, making a slight bow) Ah, a new patient, I see. And what affliction troubles you, I wonder? [Examines Lee Ray from a distance] A rather robust specimen, but appearances can be deceiving, can't they?
P-608: (Nods cautiously, looking at the chair but avoiding sitting)
P-608-1: (Laughs quietly, dark veins pulsating gently) Oh, doctor, you have no idea what you're dealing with. But do proceed with your examination!
ANM-021: (Slightly surprised by the voice, then recovers, speaking in a calm, almost curious tone) Fascinating! You are affected by a secondary consciousness, aren't you? A rare condition, no doubt. Tell me, my dear patient, how long has this… creature been with you?
P-608: (Stares blankly, hesitant) He… has always been here. I can’t get rid of him.
ANM-021: Indeed, such a parasite is a clear sign! A very severe case. But fear not, for I am well-versed in curing such ills. (He slowly extends his hand, ready to touch P-608)
P-608-1: Whoa, whoa, whoa, back off, you ass! Hands off the merchandise. You think you’re going to “cure” me? Pfft, good luck! (Laughs)
ANM-021: (Pauses, withdrawing his hand) A belligerent host, I see. The plague has taken deep root. This will require more drastic measures. (Turns to his leather bag, retrieving a set of surgical tools)
Dr. Matthews: ANM-021, remember, you are not to perform any procedures without explicit permission. This is just an observation test.
ANM-021: Ah, but Dr. Matthews, this is a critical case! A swift intervention could save this man from his torment.
P-608-1: (Veins around his face start to glow more intensely, tone becoming more severe) Save him? Ha! He’s mine, got it? Want to take me out? You’ll have to go through Lee first!
ANM-021: I must proceed with the cure! The plague cannot be allowed to proliferate!
P-608: No, no... please, don’t...
P-608-1: (Shouting) Do it, brother! Show him what happens when people try to mess with us!
[00:03:45]
ANM-021 moves forward, attempting to grab P-608. Lee Ray suddenly breaks his restraints, his eyes glowing with a fierce intensity. ANM-021 recoils, shocked by the display of strength.
ANM-021: (Holds his surgical tools defensively) Ah, quite a violent reaction! The plague has corrupted you deeply!
P-608: (Roars, voice a mix of his own and P-608-1’s) Want to cure us? Try your luck!
[00:04:10]
P-608 advances on ANM-021, grabbing him by the collar and lifting him off the ground. ANM-021 struggles, trying to stab P-608 with a scalpel, but Lee Ray’s increased strength and pain tolerance render the attack ineffective.
P-608-1: (Laughing uncontrollably) Is this what you call medicine, doctor? Come on, brother, show him how we deal with doctors who overstep!
ANM-021: Let me go, you caveman!
P-608: (Throws ANM-021 against the table, destroying it) Want to cure me? I’ll cure you!
P-608-1: (Mocking) That’s right, big brother! Make him beg for a certificate!
[00:04:40]
ANM-021 attempts to grab P-608’s arm with his hand, aiming for his neck, but P-608 twists, snapping ANM-021’s arm with a sickening crack. ANM-021 screams, but the damage does not incapacitate him.
ANM-021: (Desperate, voice tense) You don’t understand! I’m trying to save you!
P-608: (Roars, lifting ANM-021 and throwing him against the wall) Save me? I’ve been trying to get rid of him forever!
P-608-1: (Hissing with pleasure) Oh, but you can’t, Ray. You and I, we’re forever. And this charlatan doesn’t stand a chance!
[00:05:00]
ANM-021 collapses against the wall, his spine cracked from the impact. P-608 approaches, fists clenched, breathing heavily. ANM-021 tries to get up, but P-608 hits him again, breaking his nose.
Dr. Matthews: Okay, Troop, intervene! We need to end this before Dr. Oswaldo is permanently incapacitated!
[00:05:20]
Eight members of the Troop enter the chamber, armed with tranquilizer guns. P-608 turns to them, still under the influence of P-608-1.
P-608-1: (Glaring angrily at the guards, veins glowing intensely) Want to play too? Come on, Lee still has plenty of presents!
[00:05:30]
The guards fire several tranquilizer darts at P-608. Lee roars, pulling out one of the darts, but his movements begin to slow. ANM-021, still conscious, tries to crawl away.
P-608-1: (Growling, voice weakening) No... no! We’re not done yet!
[00:06:10]
P-608 collapses, unconscious. ANM-021, breathing heavily, manages to get up, holding his broken arm. Security personnel immediately move to contain both entities.
ANM-021: (Glaring at P-608-1 with anger, voice trembling with fear and rage) This... abomination... is unnatural. It must be purged...
Dr. Matthews: Security, take Dr. Oswaldo to the medical ward for treatment. Ensure that prisoner Lee is fully restrained before transport.
[END RECORD]
Post-Test Analysis:
Dr. Matthews: The interaction quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, with P-608 overpowering ANM-021 with ease. The influence of P-608-1 amplified Lee’s strength and aggression, allowing him to withstand Dr. Oswaldo’s attempts to administer his "cure." ANM-021’s perception of P-608 as a manifestation of the plague indicates that he considers P-608-1 a significant threat, although the exact reasoning remains uncertain.
Conclusion: Additional tests involving Lee Ray and humanoid entities should be postponed until a reliable method for neutralizing P-608-1’s influence is established. ANM-021 requested no further contact with P-608, considering the entity to be "beyond my capacity to cure." Additional psychological support was recommended for Dr. Oswaldo to cope with the ongoing mental trauma caused by Lee Ray.

Sentry
Tumblr media
Torn between his heroic Sentry side and his villainous Void persona, the Sentry has demonstrated his power time and again. Gaining his powers from a dark version of the Super Soldier Serum, the Sentry was granted powers that were equal to “a million exploding suns”. It is even hinted that Sentry has a connection to divine power, and can manipulate the world on a molecular level.
First joining the team in Dark Avengers #1, Sentry was manipulated into acting as Norman Osborn's ultimate weapon and was finally unleashed in Bendis and Copiel's Siege. Their Sentry destroyed Asgard and tore Ares in two.
Sentry has remained an unpredictable force ever since, helping to push a Celestial off Earth and fighting the Hulk to a standstill in the conclusion of World War Hulk. While in the Dark Avengers, rosted has hosted mutants, super-scientists, and even gods. Sentry remains Marvel's most powerful mortal.

Vitae Gargantua, or the Giant of Life, is a massive stingray-like creature that freely roams the skies above the land, unbothered by and uncaring of all life around it. It is the only one of its kind, unmatched in sheer size by any other airborne creature in Aberrant Earth. It slowly soars perpetually, never touching down upon the earth, somehow without the need for rest nor sustenance. Gargantua flies aimlessly through the skies, its only indirect interaction with anything else being its occasional expulsion of a massive rain of blood-like substance, heretofore referred to as ‘lifeblood’.
Lifeblood pours down from the many holes on Gargantua’s underside in several-minutes-long bursts every few days or so. The lifeblood carries highly regenerative properties, able to heal any wound in a matter of seconds via direct physical application. When Gargantua rains down the lifeblood, it will coat a grand stretch of land beneath it in the substance, painting it a sickly red. As the lifeblood stagnates from exposure to the open air, it loses its regenerative properties within a matter of hours, whereupon it becomes nothing more than a gross blood-like substance, washed away by rain over time.
Wherever Vitae Gargantua flies, carnage exists beneath it. This is not because of Gargantua itself, but rather, what follows in its wake - the Bloody Parade.
The Bloody Parade is a traveling procession of myriad different creatures, all having consumed so much of Gargantua’s addictive lifeblood that their minds have become permanently addled by its regenerative effects, forcing them into a trance-like state. They gather together and follow closely behind Gargantua as it flies, catching the lifeblood as it rains down upon them, lapping it up in the puddles ahead. Where once there would be immediate hostility between these creatures, their addiction unites them together within the Parade. Regular imbibement of the lifeblood not only keeps them alive, but also gradually morphs their bodies in often horrific manner, turning them bloated and red. Examples seen in the images include the following:
Parade Needlemaidens experience a major overproduction of meat on their bodies, far surpassing that of their needles.
Parade Slittershades’ skin slowly transitions from black to a deep red, and their head tentacles will fuse together in some spots.
Parade Briarwargs become engorged and pulpy with blood. Alphas’ secondary thorns around their necks will quickly fall out as the sacks holding them become bloated and loose.
Parade Phonomimics grow fat and sluggish very quickly, resorting to crawling forward on their hands and knees with the Parade. Additionally, they appear to lose all of their audio mimicry ability, instead replacing them with a singular constant, droning, almost heavy breathing-like sound. Every Parade Phonomimic makes this sound in unison - the ‘marching tune’ of the Parade, as it were.
Parade Grovelords retain their animal magnetism even in their lifeblood-addled stupor. Smaller fauna that get caught in the Parade will crowd around them, staying so close that they gradually fuse to the gore that builds up on their limbs and antlers. Parade Grovelords end up with squirrels and chipmunks and the like stuck to their legs, while the wings of birds stick out of their antlers.
Parade Razorheads only experience minor malformation and color changing of their outer metal roots, but their inner meaty roots rapidly expand and multiply from exposure to the lifeblood, causing them to become a heavy sponge-like bundle and burst with split-ends out of the body.
Regular wildlife also make up space in the Parade. Boars, deer, bears, wolves, etc. will not experience as drastic of physical changes as creatures, but march with the Parade all the same.
Everything in the Bloody Parade will viciously attack organisms that are not part of the Parade, should any stand in their path. But beyond this, all they do is tirelessly follow in Gargantua’s wake, caring only for when they can next partake of the lifeblood. In the event that Gargantua flies over a steep mountain range, or a coastline before a major body of water, or any similarly insurmountable obstacle, the Parade will heap together in a great red pile, immobile. Without Gargantua’s sustenance to keep them alive, they eventually keel over and expire, ending up as a massive pile of rotting, varied cadavers. The current Bloody Parade ends in unceremonious fashion - and a new Bloody Parade will later form elsewhere under Gargantua’s shadow.

Biography
After a one night stand between his parents resulted in pregnancy, Storm Ryder Lokison was born to Loki Laufeyson(Odinson) and Carol Danvers October 31st around 2:30 in the morning. At first his mother was planning on giving him up for adoption but the moment she laid her eyes on him, she changed her mind. Deciding it was better that he remained with her, especially since she didn’t doubt that he’d develop his parents special gifts and she didn’t want to put a burden on anyone. Plus she couldn’t imagine anyone else raising her baby boy, hell Carol didn’t even want Loki to have anything to do with their baby. But unfortunately she wasn’t going to get what she wanted because it didn’t take long before he showed up. The only reason why he did was because he was curious of the baby Heimdall had congratulated him for.
For the first four years of his life, he was with his mother since his father didn’t want to deal with raising a baby. His mother had no problem with it, after all she preferred to have her child with her. However when Storm turned five, his father decided he wanted to be a part of his child’s life. It had started a fight between his parents, at first it looked like his mother had won the argument and he would remain with her. But a few days later his father came and collected him, taking him home to Asgard with him. At first with being so young he didn’t quite understand what was going on, he didn’t know why he was taken away from his mother. He would cry for his mother quite often, much to his father’s annoyance. However as time went on, he became used to his life in Asgard. He still missed his mother but he didn’t cry much for her after a while.
As Storm grew up, the more his powers and abilities grew. With the help of his father, grandmother, and occasionally his mother, he learned how to control them better. When he wasn’t learning how to control his powers, he was learning other things. Yet when he wasn’t learning anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. When he wasn’t with his family or friends. he focused on doing normal kid things. Finding his own source of entertainment, even though sometimes the things that entertained him, got him into trouble.
The more the male grew up with his father, the more he wanted to be like him. Which concerned a few people but at the same time, they understood it. Since at one point in a kid's life, they all wanted to be like one of their role models. And the truth was in the end they end up developing into their own person so they weren’t too worried at the moment, besides they were just glad that Storm was happy. And there was no denying that he was happy, especially when he was spending time with his father. Rather if it was just following him around or learning from him, he just loved being with his father. But when he wasn’t with his father, he was just as content to do the same with his uncle or grandma.
When his uncle got banished to Midgard, he was visibly upset. But he quickly got over it, after all it wasn’t forever and it was for the best or so his father said. And then chaos happened, which resulted in his father being gone and that devastated him. He was left in the care of his grandparents and uncle, yet all he wanted was his father or his mother. He began to feel resentment towards them, well mainly towards Thor, Odin, and everyone who was involved for his father being gone but he pretended like everything was fine between them. That his mood was because he was still heartbroken over the loss of his father, not that it wasn’t the truth since he was still hurting over it.
Eventually Storm started to get over his resentment towards Thor, maybe it was because his uncle went out of his way to make sure he still had some sort of father figure in his life. But his resentment for Odin and the others involved in the incident definitely didn’t go away, it just festered underneath the surface. So he avoided talking to them as much as possible, although he still talked to them when he had to so they would believe everything was fine. However, as much as he appreciated everything his uncle was doing for him, if he couldn’t have his father then he sort of wanted his mother but he’d make do with what he had.
The moment Storm heard that Loki was alive, he was completely thrilled. But at the same time he was confused as to why his father wanted to keep it a secret, however he promised he wouldn’t tell a soul. After all he would do pretty much anything for his father, all he had to do was ask. Plus just knowing his father was alive made him happy, being able to talk to him just made it so much better. It wasn’t long after that, that everyone else discovered Loki was alive and he was up to no good. He begged Thor to allow him to go with him, so that he could be of some help. But when his uncle told him it wasn’t safe and he needed to stay here, he pouted and stormed off. Bound, determined to find a different way to get there, he didn’t care if he got in trouble as long as he was with his father. Except before he could get very far, his grandmother had stopped him causing him to sigh in defeat.
When Loki had returned to Asgard, Storm was happy. So thrilled that he couldn’t wait to see him, despite being told to stay in a certain place in the palace. But when his father was put in eternal imprisonment, his heart broke once more. Especially when he was meant to spend centuries alone, which meant he wasn’t exactly allowed visitors so he had no clue what that meant for him. Was he allowed to see his dad or not? Either way he didn’t care, he was going to visit him rather he was allowed or not. If he got in trouble so be it, no one was going to stop him from being with his father. Eventually Storm was caught visiting Loki by Thor and Frigga, however they didn’t say anything nor did they stop him.
It was while the male was visiting his father that he was the happiest, yet he couldn’t help but to feel sad as well. Maybe because he knew he couldn’t do anything for the other, not unless he wanted to spend an eternity in the dungeons. Plus he didn’t want to get his parent into any more trouble than he was, though he knew that the male was capable of phenomenal things and most likely could get them out of there safely but he didn’t want to risk it. Although if Loki had asked him to then he would have set him free, no questions asked.
And then came time for him to go spend time with his mother, which he was excited for since he’s missed her. But at the same time he didn’t want to leave his father, he didn’t want the other to be totally alone. However it was only for a little while so he figured it would be okay, besides he already knew Frigga visited the male at times so he wouldn’t be totally alone. If only he could have predicted the chaotic mess that would unfold, cause if he did then he would have never left.
It wasn’t until Storm returned that he learned about what happened, it devastated him that he had lost his grandmother and once again his father. And now he was left in the care of Thor, which was better than being left in the care of Odin or at least in his opinion. Although odd enough Odin sorta protested, almost as if he didn’t want him to be in Thor’s care but it turned out it was only to say that he should be with his mother. Which to be fair was a good point since if his father wasn’t around then he should go to his mother, yet in the end it seemed like Thor wanted something that reminded him of his family so he went to Midgard with his uncle.
Life on Midgard was sorta strange, that it definitely took him a while to adjust. But luckily he had the help of his uncle and his uncle’s friends to help him, although he still wanted his father or at least his mother. Which if he was being quite honest, he couldn’t deny that he sometimes had a strange feeling telling him that if he had chosen to stay on Asgard then he would have been with one of his parents, so in the end it was his fault But it was just a feeling, yet in a way it was the truth because he would have been left in his mother’s care so of course it was his fault. Thor had told Storm that if he wanted to go be with his mother, he could go anytime and he appreciated it. But he didn’t want to be a bother or get in her way while she was trying to help out anyone who was in need, it was bad enough he sometimes felt like a bother when it came to his own uncle. Even if he knew that was farther than the truth but still, he couldn’t help but feel as if the other should be focusing on living his life and not worrying about raising a teen that wasn’t his kid. However he kept all that to himself, not wanting to bother anyone with his feelings. Besides, he already knew what his uncle would most likely say, so what was the point? There was none so he just pushed the feelings away and acted like everything was fine.
When Storm first met the avengers, it was because Thor pawned him off on them for a few hours so he could have alone time with Jane. It was definitely amusing to the young god to see them try to figure him out, especially when they learn he was Loki’s spawn. He figured they were trying to decide if he was anything like his father, which in a way he was but his uncle had told them that they didn’t need to worry about him. That he was a good kid and that was true, he wasn’t a villain but he wasn’t a hero either. Truth was that he was still figuring things out.
While it didn’t take a lot to figure out who was more experienced when it came to taking care of someone his age, the teen certainly enjoyed learning each avenger’s technique in watching him. Not only that but he enjoyed the fact that they seemed to be trying to make sure he stayed on the righteous side of things, that he didn’t end up too much like his father. Which, to be honest he couldn’t help but to wonder what his father would think or say about it, unfortunately it wasn’t like it mattered since the god of mischief was gone. Something he tried to not think about so he focused more on enjoying learning new things from each one of them and sometimes pranking them, even though they weren’t exactly fond of that. They definitely weren't pleased when he decided to shapeshift into his father. Although after a while it didn’t bother them much, probably because they learned it was one of his ways to entertain himself.
Life on Midgard became easier, the feeling of being homesick numbing over time. Even the feeling of missing his parents numbed over time, don’t get him wrong he still very much wishes he was with them but he knew that his mother was somewhere in space and his father was gone. He even managed to make some friends, something his uncle told him he needed to make. It seemed like life couldn’t get any better, and then things took an unexpected turn. His uncle had to leave to deal with Avengers business, leaving him in the care of Jane. And despite how much he wanted to help, he reluctantly listened. Choosing to focus on his studies and training, he was determined to be better than the best.
One night after a disagreement with Jane, Storm had snuck out to go to a party with his friends. Something he needed to get his mind off of everything and just relax, besides he couldn’t deny that sneaking in and out was entertaining to him. Maybe because he loves the rush and the risk of getting caught, although he’s rarely ever been caught so he wasn’t really concerned. What the teen wasn’t expecting was for his mother to be waiting for him when he snuck back into his room, causing his eyes to widen in surprise and his mouth to part a bit. He had no clue why she was there but he was happy to see her, yet at the same time he couldn’t help but to wonder if he was in trouble since technically he had gotten caught.
However luckily for him, it turns out that he wasn’t in too much trouble. Which was definitely relieving, although according to Jane he should be grounded for sneaking out. He couldn’t help but to snicker when his mother popped off with maybe she should have been watching him better, after that Jane just left them be. And then came the reason she was here, which caused him great delight but at the same time a bit of sadness. She was there to take him home with her, while he was happy to be going with his mother he was sad to be leaving his new friends but he didn’t hesitate in gathering his belongings. Yet before he left, he made sure to tell his friends goodbye because he was leaving. He didn’t want them to think he abandoned them, he said he’d try to keep in touch but he didn’t know how strong his connection would be. And then he was off.
But as it turns out, it was really his father. Something he discovered the moment they were alone, which caused a number of feelings. From pure genuine happiness then confusion to sadness and finally anger, it was definitely different from last time. Don’t get him wrong, Storm was happy that Loki was alive but the fact he faked his own death and waited this long to let his own son know ruined that happiness. It confused him as to why he’d do it, it made him sad cause it made it seem like he hardly cared about him and it made him angry that his father dared to do this to him and then come to collect him like it was nothing. It almost made him want to demand him to leave him with Thor or send him to his mother but he kept his mouth shut, mainly because deep down he knew that he wanted nothing more than for his father to somehow be alive.
Soon enough they were back in Asgard, his father was back in his disguise. The teen scrunched up his nose in distaste, although he was impressed with the scheme. Still he rather not deal with it so he decided to disappear to his room, deciding to hang with his father some other time. But even after a few days, he spent most of his time doing other things than hanging with his father. Maybe it was because it just wasn’t the same, sure it was him but he was in disguise so it wasn’t. And let’s be honest, Storm would rather hang with Loki when he was himself and not as Odin but he wouldn’t blow his father’s big charade so of course he spent most of his time doing his own thing.
On the downside it only made him wish that he was really with his mother or still with his uncle, actually it made him tempted to go actually be with one of them. Yet he didn’t want to hurt his father’s feelings or disappoint him, which caused him to stay in the end. On the plus side when he did spend alone time with his father, he managed to get the other to drop the glamour. Advising him to do some enchantments to secure the area or at least do something so he’d be notified if someone was coming, especially if he didn’t want his cover blown. So luckily his days weren’t always filled with him hiding away.
Yet eventually despite everything, things came to a burning crash. The teen had actually gotten sick of some of his father’s ridiculous antics, the ridiculous play he was currently putting on was the last straw. So he did the unthinkable and decided to run away, though before Storm got far he ended up running into Thor. Eyes widening as he froze momentarily before giving his uncle a weary smile in response to the look he was receiving, he definitely didn’t think he was going anywhere anytime soon. Luckily for him, the god of thunder’s attention turned toward the god of mischief. Which meant he could still sneak away, yet at the same he didn’t want to leave those two alone. So the teen stayed and watched the scene unfold, ready to intervene if needed. But then they went off on their adventure, leaving him behind once more.
As soon as they left, Storm made himself comfortable on the throne. Making himself comfortable while his father and uncle were gone, besides it was only until his family returned. So if anyone had a problem with it, well then he dealt with it his way. Which just as he expected there was a little problem here and there but after he dealt with it, things were fine. Everything was under control and running smoothly until Hela showed up, then everything went to hell. While he normally enjoyed chaos, he wasn’t enjoying this. The teen was tempted to destroy her after she claimed to kill his father and uncle, however he wasn’t that naïve. If the god of thunder and the god of mischief couldn’t stop her then what chance did he have? He didn’t know but he had to do something, however before he could do anything he felt a hand on his shoulder. Looking over his shoulder to see who it was, once noting who it was he noted them shaking their head at him. So instead of fighting he allowed her to believe she was the sole remaining heir, deciding to sneak off to find some place to hide til he came up with a plan or at least til he found some help.
Storm hadn’t been wandering for too long when he ran into Heimdall, due to having his guard up he almost used his powers against the male til he realized who it was. Afterwards he relaxed a bit, allowing him to let his guard down a bit. It wasn’t as if the other was going to hurt him after all, if anything he may actually protect him instead. After all, the male was Thor’s best friend and he was Thor’s nephew so it only made sense, then again he was also Loki’s son but the teen doubted that would make a difference. Besides as far as he knew, they were on good terms so he certainly trusted the other to keep him safe. And he knew in some aspects the male would help him, well as long as it was for good. Which in this case, he could honestly say it was for the good. It was foremost for his safety, then it was to find help. Since the last thing the teen wanted was to leave Asgard in Hela’s care for long, plus he wanted to get revenge for his father and uncle.
Eventually the teen made it to safety with the help of the older male, the other reassuring that this was a secure location. Now he just had to come up with a plan to destroy the female, which shouldn’t be too hard since he was highly intelligent. But until he came up with a plan, Storm decided to help Heimdall get the people of Asgard to safety.
Yet despite all that, chaos still followed. Which honestly he expected given the current situation that was going on, although on the plus side he learned that his uncle was still alive followed by learning his father was too. It was the first time the teen had gotten to fight, using his powers and skills to his advantage. And in the end they won, however it came with a cost, Asgard was destroyed. While it was the only way, it was still heartbreaking. Now they were on an adventure to find a new home and while it was a bit nerve-wracking, he knew it would be fine because he still had the people he cared about.
For most parts, life in space had been peaceful. Sure there were times it had been a bit chaotic, but only because he was bored and decided to entertain himself. Besides, it wasn’t anything too bad so nobody was too mad, plus he was sure that they understood he was trying to keep himself entertained. And most of the time, he was either chilling with his family or doing his studies and training.
From the moment it was decided that New Asgard would be Earth, Storm was semi excited to go back there. Only because it meant that he’d get to see his friends again but then Thanos came out of nowhere and everything changed, complete chaos broke out and nothing anyone did could stop him. During the ambush, half of the Asgardians on the ship were slaughtered, the other half managing to escape through the escape pods. The teen was among the half to escape, only because his father and uncle both made sure he got off the ship safely despite how badly he wanted to stay and fight. But he went willingly without a fight because he figured he could warn the Avengers about the mad titan, although if he only knew what was about to happen then he would have never left his father or uncle behind.
The moment the teen landed on Midgard, taking a moment to gather his bearings since it was the first time he flew through space by himself. Afterwards he wasted no time rushing off to find the Avengers, after all he didn’t have any time to waste since who knew how long it was before Thanos arrived. Although by the time he made it to the Avenger’s headquarters, they were already in the middle of chaos trying to stop Thanos and his army. And while Storm didn’t know what their chances were, he didn’t hesitate in joining the fight. After all, the last thing he wanted was for Thanos and his army to win, not after everything that had happened.
The male would rather die than to sit back and allow the worst case scenario to become a reality, it was something he was sure he wasn’t the only one who felt that way. And well if the worst came to shove then at least he could say he tried his best, they all could but he knew it didn’t mean that it would feel that way. He could imagine that the feeling of losing would be a range of guilt, sadness, disappointment, anger; it would be a major let down and he couldn’t argue about that. Something that he rather not feel, that none of them wanted to feel so of course, they all did all they could to defeat the villain or at least he hoped so.
However despite all his best efforts, despite all their best efforts, Thanos won. The teen would be lying if he said he wasn’t terrified because he was, even more so when people started to disappear. Teal eyes scanning the area until they landed on a familiar face, with a frown settled on his facial features he let a tear fall before he put on a brave face.
Never in a million years, did Storm ever imagine anyone’s life ending like that. It almost felt surreal and yet it was reality, now he had to live with even more guilt. And what’s worse, a part of him blamed his uncle for messing up and not going for the head or at least cutting the arm off. But it wasn’t until he learned his father’s fate, that the teen’s world completely fell apart. At first he had protested that this was just another one of his father’s tricks, not wanting to believe that Loki could truly be gone. Yet when Thor insisted that he was afraid this time it was real, Storm broke down. Losing control of his powers momentarily before taking off, he didn’t know where he was going but he didn’t care at the moment. He just needed to get away so he left and didn’t look back.
Granted the fact he knew that what he did, didn’t solve anything. Only made things more difficult but the teen gave up caring, after all what’s the point? He didn’t see one, sure he still had his mother and uncle but for how long? After all it seemed like no matter what, luck would run out and disaster would strike. He knew that he shouldn’t focus on the negative but again, he just didn’t care. Hell he didn’t even care that he had started acting more like the bad guy, not caring who got hurt during his self destructive outbursts.
Years went by before the male was in a decent state of mind, sure Storm still missed his father and it still hurt at times but eventually he became numb to it all. Now he was just trying to figure out what he wanted to do with his life, who he wanted to be. If he wanted to be a hero, to be a villain, or to just be a normal person. Well as normal as he could be, given his powers and all. Although in the end, he decided that he was an anti hero slash anti villain. Because truth be told, he didn’t truly need a label to define who he was.
And then one day luck would have it, humanity had gotten a second chance at life. While he was happy that unlike last time, this time they actually managed to defeat Thanos and his army. It still didn’t bring back his father and in order to win this time around, they ended up losing more people. So he supposed in reality it was a bittersweet victory, even if he did understand why they did it. And besides it was what heroes sometimes do, they sacrifice themselves for the greater good as long as it saves innocent lives. It was sad but honorable, something he would have done within a heartbeat without any questions at one point in his life. Now he wasn’t so sure.
With everything that was going on within the world as humanity tried to adjust again, Storm couldn’t help but to wonder if Thanos was right. Not that he truly believed that because what the titan did was destroy innocent lives, it was just all this was a mess. But what did the male expect? Life was messy, that was never going to change no matter what anyone does. However despite it being messy, it was beautiful in a way so life had its moments. Besides, one couldn’t have the good, without the bad. After all that was how life worked, wasn’t it?
It wasn’t long before Storm decided that it was time to go find his mother and his uncle, maybe a few months after the final battle with Thanos. Well maybe it was more or so around Christmas time before he decided to go make amends for running away like he did, either way the point was he was finally going home. Wherever home was because the male didn’t have the foggiest idea exactly where they would be, he at least knew he would find them eventually. And besides the time he’d spend looking for them, would give him time to prepare for their disappointment. Because he already knew for sure they were going to be disappointed in him when they learned about all the terrible things he’s done, if they didn’t know already.
As it turned out it only took a few weeks to learn that both his mother and his uncle were somewhere in space, since remarkably Thor had joined the Guardians of the Galaxy. But as remarkable as that was, it only made his search so much harder. However luckily it wasn’t completely impossible, it just meant even more work but he enjoyed the challenge. And besides if all else fails, he would just use his powers to his advantage. Sure he could have used them from the start but doing it the hard way was sorta his way of procrastinating, plus it was more fun to do it the challenging way.
In the end, Storm ended up using his powers. Well only to astral project to his mother and uncle, after all it was the fastest way to get in contact with them. Sure on the downside of it, he couldn’t get the much needed comfort of a hug but that would come in due time. But at least he was able to make amends, that was the important thing. Now all he has to do is decide what’s next.

In Character Information Rules
Robbie as a Ghost Rider is unknown and not widely shared information. He’s uncomfortable with the concept of himself as a rider. This is the very early years of his time as a rider. About some time after Eli and he were separated. It’s not a secret but he does not talk about it.
Ghost Riders aren’t a secret, but not a lot of people know about them. They’re basically cryptids that people have just gotten spottings of.
Robbie has a younger brother named Gabe. He does not name-drop his brother and won’t share any pictures of him due to his own paranoia. If you know this info don’t share it or drop it on dash.
Robbie is dating Dick Grayson/Nightwing. He’s aware of the batfamilies identities (well at least the Bruce, Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damien). Robbie will not confirm or deny what he knows about them. Also publically he’s dating Dick Grayson.

Powers
In human form Robbie doesn’t contain most of his supernatural abilities, though he can use a few here and there but not all of them. He can change parts of his body and use some of his abilities without the transformation.
Ghost Rider Transformation: Robbie currently possesses the supernatural ability to transform into Ghost Rider at will.
Superhuman Strength: Riders possess superhuman strength. They can very easily contend with heroes like “Thor”
Superhuman Speed
Superhuman Durability: He can take high levels of damage and even get crushed and come out unscathed.
Self-Sustenance: He doesn’t need to eat, rest or breathe while in rider form. He can even withstand the negative effects of space travel.
Regenerative Healing Factor: He can regenerate himself in Rider form and can do it in a matter of seconds.
Pyrokinesis: Robbie can produce flames from his body. It is hellfire.
Chain Manifestation: Robbie can manifest red-hot chains out of his body
Hell Charger Linkage:
Intangibility: Robbie in rider form can become intangible via the link with his hell charger.
Underworld Path: The trunk of the charger acts as a portable gateway to hell which Robbie can hurl his enemies through. It also has tentacles and can just drag people to hell itself if they are close enough.
Healing Symbiosis: Robbie can connect to his hell charger and heal both himself and it, this can be used for both mental and physical injury.
Teleportation: Unlike other Ghost Riders, Robbie possesses the ability to teleport various distances. The Hell Charger is linked to his ability to port from one place to another, acting as a hub.
Portal Creation: In addition to teleportation, he can also generate hellfire portals.
Condemnation: Robbie can condemn people with a hellish spire and drag people to hell with it. He has used it a few times against crimelords.
Rage Enhancement: Robbie can use his rage to empower his rider form and take on a demonic form with further rage. However, it leaves unique and lasting scars on his body. Currently, he only has 2 on his face.
Vehicle Possession: Robbie can give any vehicle the abilities of the hell charger. This is only temporary as those aren’t his hell ride.
Penance Stare: When possessed with Morrow, Robbie obtained a Penance Stare whose point of origin is unknown although it is possibly an ability similar to the common Penance Stare of the Ghost Riders. With it, he can make a person feel all the pain and suffering they have caused in innocent people. Robbie has also been able to cast the Gaze through vehicles he has possessed. After joining a spirit of vengeance he obtained an original penance stare. Robbie can make a person feel all the pain and suffering they have caused to innocent people.
Penance Bomb: This is an ability he only has in his demonic form. It will unlikely show up in RP due to how dangerous it is. However, it is a mass of hellfire that can kill a large number of people and even possibly destroy structures and land.
Abilities
Expert Driver: Robbie is a highly skilled driver and street racer.
Expert Mechanic: Robbie is a highly skilled mechanic.
Skilled Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Although he’s had no proper training, Robbie is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant.
Piloting: Robbie has shown to be a competent helicopter and jet pilot.
Equipment
Hell Chain: Ghost Rider uses a chain with knives at the edges in combat. The nature of the chain is yet unexplored.
Hell Charger: The Hell Charger is a modified 1969 Dodge Charger. It was found in Canelo’s workshop. When Robbie was gunned down by Calvin Zabo’s mercenaries, the spirit in the car resurrected him. The spirit was later revealed to be the spirit of his estranged uncle Elias Morrow. The car was able to merge with Robbie during times of action. This technique was also used to attack foes leaving him unhurt.

Water-Dwellers & The Y’lum
The Legend.
The first people to dwell on Caywei’s waters struggled to survive for many years. The waters were too cold for the people to swim in but most of their sustenance was in the water. They were caught between starving or falling victim to hypothermia and fever. The Great Aw’risi saw her children’s suffering and bestowed upon their fledglings the Y’lum so that they might survive the bitter cold of her otherwise loving embrace.
The Reality.
The Y’lum came to develop in the young of the Cayweini water-dwellers because of a bacteria make-up in a bio-luminescent fish that made up most of the population’s diet. The children and pregnant mothers were more susceptible to it and then began to pass it onto their descendants. They eventually evolved to form a symbiotic relationship of their own with the bacteria. The luminescence emitting from the host is caused by the “activated” bacteria under the host’s skin.
But what is it?
The Y’lum is a term used to describe the physiological reaction of a Native Cayweini’s body to cold temperatures or high amounts of stress. The reaction causes the individual’s body temperature to rise to high enough levels to combat the expected cold, which sometimes causes a luminescence under the skin of the individual. This reaction also provides reserve strength to the individual’s muscles causing temporary immunity to damage, “super” strength & enhanced regeneration.
Extra Notes.
It is rare for native land dwellers to possess the Y’lum and it may also attribute to the tensions between the groups.
Ravid was born with an unresponsive Y’lum–likely due to a small bacteria count upon birth as his mother was sick. He almost died when he came of age to learn to fish but it fully developed during his Adi’ul ritual. Unfortunately, developing one so late and/or being pulled off world soon after, Ravid’s Y’lum responds poorly and sometimes at the wrong time entirely and often only when he is anxious. Much like a fight or flight reaction.
It also provides some resistance to poisons and “contaminated” Cayweini blood can provide some analgesic or mildly regenerative properties.
