Yeah So
I'm abandoning my Bingo Card and just... doing the AUs I feel like because I am not good at structure. XD
Anyway, here are some I'm trying to hit for sure - if you out there have a request, hit me up and I will try to work it into the lineup for sure (Also, in June if not sooner, regular WIP updates are a go).
Royalty AU - LarsDunn probably also some a/b/o action
Historical AU - just gotta decide on a time period and a WHO. It's so tempting to do a Jo/MackGatsby thing but I already wrote one devastating fic for that pairing I should try for something happy.
Regency AU - which yes is historical but come on we all know there's a difference. I almost want to try some Wyatt Johnston/???(Roope? Pavelski? Miro AND Roope? Ty? Logan?)
Western AU - gotta do some cowboy stuff I mean... Matthew is just. Right there. Cowboy hat in hand. Waiting.
Other Sport - maybe baseball?? but really i kind of want to do Tennis. Like. OH. Tennis veterans Leo and Connor, not DONE yet but closer to the end than the beginning and then there's Connor Bedard jumping onto the scene all young and amazing and 'please bad touch me' about it.
Not Hockeys - Some way to work in an established Adam and Leon with Vince thrown in there. Lawyers is always my go to???
Academic AU - these are so challenging for me because I just want to make everyone a professor but also I kind of want to experiment with maybe... professor/TA but then does that make me awful @dwisp tell me I'm not evil????
Amnesia AU - hear me out. Jo/Mack. But like... somehow I'd make it happy????
Urban Fantasy AU - I really want to do some witch stuff. Anyone have a pairing request? I mean, all back is always MattDrai.
SugarBaby AU - I just. really really want to.
---
Alright, that's my working list. If you have a pairing or prompt request send it my way. i'm gonna be real: Pacific Rim/Drift AUs are cool but not my thing.
Other than that, I THINK I'm pretty open.

I’m VERY interested in the regency-era murder mystery comedy & the musical queer American teen comedy 👀 👀 👀
@dancingsunflowers-ocs 💙
Thanks so much for this!! 🖤🖤🖤
ALRIGHT, let’s start off with our murder mystery:
Picture it: London, 1815, the height of the current social season. Henrietta Fitzwilliam, the third-youngest daughter of a viscount and viscountess and lovingly known to her siblings as “Henny” (faceclaim: Claudia Jessie) has been dragged to yet another ball by her determined mother, along with her twin brother Edward (faceclaim: Louis Partridge).
Henny’s older sister already found a husband two years ago, so now her mother, Lady Fitzwilliam (faceclaim: Julia Roberts) is completely determined to find Henny and Edward matches at this newest ball, held by the society-famous Duke and Duchess of Shrewsborough, Lord and Lady Brighton (faceclaims: Rupert Graves and Naomi Watts).
Everybody attending the ball (at which neither Henny nor Edward is very successful at finding a potential match) is invited to stay the night at the Brightons’ massive estate the night after, only to wake up to screams in the middle of the night and realize that a maid has found the bodies of Lord and Lady Brighton, lying in bed together with their throats cut.
The household’s head matron, Mrs. Fishe (faceclaim: Imelda Staunton) refuses to let anyone staying in the house leave to contact the authorities, insisting that neither of the Brightons would want the scandal of having the police called to their estate, instead enlisting the help of Detective Giles (faceclaim: Henry Golding), a police investigator and friend of the Brightons who had happened to be at the ball and staying at the estate.
Not trusting the detective and unable to summon proper police help, Henny and Edward, teaming up with the Brightons’ daughter Mary (faceclaim: Natalie Alyn Lind), resolve to solve the murder themselves… but considering the bizarre cast of characters in this mansion, everyone, including the detective and even the twins’ own mother, is a suspect.
Featuring Christian Bale as a violence-happy English general who’s very condescending towards women, Judi Dench as Lord Brighton’s sassy widowed mother who did not like Lady Brighton, Idris Elba as the head butler who the three young detectives discover to have been having an affair with Lady Brighton, and several other suspect characters I haven’t given enough thought to yet.
Also, did I mention Henny is a lesbian? She and Mary have a really cute romance that I am so excited to write!!
I do already have the murderer figured out, but, you know… no spoilers. 😜
And now we arrive at our queer musical comedy:
I don’t have as much figured out about this yet, but here’s what I do know:
Ben (Joe Keery), Parvati (Geraldine Viswanathan), Skye (Paris Berelc), Joey (Keiynan Lonsdale) and Vince (Mark McKenna) have all been friends since middle school.
Ben gets a crush on Zach (Ryan Potter), a classmate whose alternative band is pretty popular in their community, and one time when they’re talking Zach mentions that their city will be having its first Battle of the Bands soon and that his band will be competing.
Seeing an opportunity to impress his crush, Ben ropes his friends (who, conveniently, all have musical talents) to form a cover band called Skyrocket so that they can compete in the Battle of the Bands.
Cue a cute and funny story including a lot of friendly teasing, no one in the band except Ben actually wanting to be there, and a totally queer friend group!!
Ben is on bass, Joey’s the lead singer, Vince plays the keys/piano, Skye’s on the drums, and Parvati is lead guitar.
It’s very cute and there’s a happy ending, but that’s all I really have for now!!
(If you want to know more about any of these characters, feel free to hit me up!! 🖤🖤🖤)

1.I agree Klaus has killed many witches over his centuries. He hates witches, but will use their power for his plans. But Marcel and Davina were killing witches over the year after the Harvest was started. But like I said, how many witches were killed by them, that wanted to save their coven like Sophie.I wonder how many children were orphaned by these executions, which Vincent and Eva had a talk about for their child.
(VINCENT: You was in the Quarter? Come on Eva, that's... that's Marcel Gerard's territory. And you know that's not safe for witches there. The death toll is growing by the day.EVA: It isn't safe anywhere. Even the Tremé is crawling with vampires. Why don't we leave? We could go anywhere. There's a whole world out there with no Marcel to worry about.
VINCENT: Eva, baby, I...I can't keep having this conversation with you. All right? This is my home.EVA: This is bigger than the two of us, Vince. I was in the Quarter to see Sophie Deveraux. She has a gift, you know? She knows when a woman is pregnant.VINCENT: I'm gonna be a daddy?EVA: Yes.VINCENT: Oh.EVA: You're going to be a great dad. But not here.VINCENT: Look, baby, wherever we go, our baby's gonna be a part of my bloodline. And it won't be at peace if it's not connected to its heritage.EVA: A heritage that could get us all killed just for being who we are?VINCENT: No. See, because when I was growing up, this place was a paradise for witches. This was the best place in the world to be if you were a kid and you had a little bit of magic in your bones. That's the New Orleans I remember, and that's... the New Orleans I want to raise our kid in. Give me six months, Eva. Baby, give me six months, and I promise you I will find a way to make sure Marcel Gerard never sets foot in the Tremé. Let me do that. Please. Let me do that for you. Baby, let me do that for my kid.EVA: Okay)
Davina was a hound that sniffed every drop of Ancestral Magic in the city and Marcel was a executioner that killed every witch that she sniffed out.
Yes,The Elders and the witches that were in the Harvest deserved their fates, but what about the witches who didn't.They just happened to be apart of the Coven.Davina took her anger on her people and I'm not saying I don't like her but she is a villain in many people's stories and she is not immune to her actions.
2.Kara never tried to kill her,she tried to cripple her,if Kara wanted to kill her,she would have tried. She wanted to send a message:I don't respect you and your regency is a mockery of our kind. Also the witches Hayley killed are on Davina's head as well. She even said that and knows Van has every right to hate her for assassinating his mother and the other witches that he knew growing up.Also this could have started a war with the wolves and witches.
3.Kol is a monster no matter how much Davina acts he isn't.Yes,she knows the stories but he is acting better for her,not himself. When she died,he reverted back to killing people.Davina never understood Kol and his darkness, she saw Kol through a mask that he gave her.
I love the world of TVD but I'm not going to be fucking blind. Look, I have a love/hate relationship with.......Davina Claire aka White Privilege Bonnie. I rooted for Davina throughout all the seasons but rewatching originals, I was shocked. Firstly the harvest, Davina had every right to be angry, but since she was connected to ancestral collective of the nine covens of New Orleans, that included every ancestral witch living or dead, she was able to connect to every witch who used ancestral magic.
How many witches died before the harvest was completed? Marcel killed Jane Anne in cold blood and it seemed like it was normal to the witches. How many families were torn apart by Davina and Marcel? Hell what happened to Abigail and Cassie's families after they were sacrificed? Their daughters were dead for a year,my god that's heartbreaking.
Even when I thought Davina grew in season 2,she acted like she knew Kol'The Wildest' Mikaelson, you don't know him. She told Finn and Marcel that Kol wasn't a playboy and a monster, Davina they are vampires who have known Kol longer then you have been alive.
The writers needed to end Kolvania, Davina needed to be with Tim,who could have become a vampire by the way, and Kol could have been with a grown witch who understood his darkness and had darkness within them. Having Kol falling in love with Mary Claire's descendant is disrespectful as hell,if I was Mary, I would have turned over in my grave at seeing Davina fall for him after being put in a prison.
In Season 3, I hated that Davina acted so rude with being Regent, yes Kara tired to hurt her,but as a Queen, you could have put her in a prison or punished her,but hiring Hayley to Kill her and the other witches, was so disgusting. When I heard Van couldn't put food on the table for his two sisters,I felt sad for him.
Davina orphaned Kara's family and shut down her business, geez Van and Kara had every right to be angry with her but when Kol killed Van, what happened to his sisters!
I'm happy Davina found herself but she also has to answer for the crimes she committed against people who had nothing to do with the Harvest and Kara's attempt at killing her.

DESIRE
Part 51
"Bullshit. You could leave him right now if you were man enough."
“Wakey, wakey sleepyhead.” Paul nudged gently. Joe groaned, rolling onto his back, rubbing his eyes. He could smell coffee. “What time is it?” His eyes eventually opened. Paul perched next to him on the bed holding a cup of coffee. “Just gone 8. You need to leave here at 9 for your flight.”
Joe sat up taking the coffee from him. “Thank you. Man, I’m so tired.” Paul smiled “I’m not surprised after last night. You were so needy.” This caused Joe to blush. “Well I don’t know when I’ll see you next. I”ll take what I can get.”
“Well I’ll definitely be at the Pay Per View. I”ll book us somewhere nice that night. We could stay in San Francisco for a couple of days and then drive to LA. I’m looking forward to having you meet my friends.” He smiled.
“I hope they like me. I’m always a bit nervous meeting people and under the circumstances…” Joe trailed off taking another sip of his coffee. Paul gave him a re-assuring look. “Baby, they’re gonna love you. We”ll talk more about it next weekend but you’ve gotta get your ass up. Cmon!”
“I know, I know,” Joe groaned, pulling his covers off. He really didn’t want to have to leave this morning. He padded into the ensuite and shut his eyes as he stood under the spray.
It was only a matter of time until Paul’s hands were finding their way around his waist before he could fully turn around. “I need to have you one more time before you leave.” He breathed, pulling Joe close to him and sweeping his hair back before he kissed him hungrily. His hard cock pressed up against Joe, causing the young man to groan into his mouth. Paul’s hands lowered to his buttocks as his eyes met Joe. A dark smile crossed his face as Joe looked into his eyes. “Turn around.”
Joe did as told, pressing his palms against the wall as Paul motioned for him to part his legs a little more. He grabbed the nearby soap and lathered his hands before starting to massage Joe's opening. “Feels so good.” The young man moaned, lowering his head. “Please…” Joe breathed, looking briefly over is shoulder. “What do you want baby?” Paul asked running his fingers deeper into his prostate. Joe growled, feeling like he would cum right there. “I want your cock.” Those words were music to Paul’s ears. A hunger over took him as he withdrew his fingers, wasting no time in filling his hole with his hard cock. He loved to hear how needy he was. The bathroom echoed with both of their grunts and moans as Paul fucked Joe senselessly. Paul continued to fuck him, forcing his abdomen against the wet tiled wall. Joe clawed at the tiles, shutting his eyes, taking everything Paul was giving him. The older man buried his head in Joe's hair as he finally came. “Fuck me,” Joe shuddered, breathing against the tiles as Paul gripped his shoulders before he eventually pulled out. Slowly, Joe turned around and kissed Paul softly. The older man swept his wet hair back, reciprocating.
A sly grin crossed Paul’s face as he stepped out of the shower leaving Joe to finish washing himself. Once finished, he quickly dried himself off, got changed into some loose black pants and a black Nike t-shirt. Paul wore a grey suit and a black shirt as he planned to meet with Vince, Steph and Shane at Titan Towers later that morning. He loaded his case into Paul’s Range Rover and they headed to the airport. They held hands as Paul drove. “What are you going to do this week?
“I’m just planning on taking it easy before Sunday. I’m having some gym equipment delivered but mainly relaxing. I know it’s gonna be pretty physical next week.”
“That’s one way of putting it.” Paul smirked raising Joe hand up and kissing the back of it. “I’m nervous just thinking about it.”
“Don’t be. They’re nice people. I wouldn’t hang out with them if they were assholes.” Paul assured him. “That go for your New York friend too?”
“He’s an exception.” Paul passed him a glance and a faint smile.
“Do you think you’ll put me with him again?” Joe asked hesitantly. “It depends on what his plans are for the evening.” He paused for a moment and looked at Joe. “Do you want to be with him again?”
“I dunno, maybe…since I’ve already met him.” Joe suggested before pursing his lips. He noticed Paul’s face harden a little. “It’s just because I’m a bit nervous.” He quickly added.
“You’ll have me. There’s no need to be nervous.” He said, resting his hand on Joe’s leg. The young man nodded, looking out the window. The mood had shifted. Joe wished he’d never brought it up. “Nadja usually likes to pre-determine who’s going to be fucking who since she wants to allocate rooms. If this is something you want, tell me so I can have it arranged.”
Joe swallowed. “It’s OK, it was just a suggestion. I don’t have to… “
“No, you brought it up-” Paul started. “Yeah but you don’t exactly seem thrilled so, it’s OK. If there’s someone else you have in mind…”
Paul sighed. “Look, baby. I don’t know if I can trust him. That’s all. He’s great when it comes to discipline but…in that kind of environment, I don’t like it.” He explained.
“OK,” Joe nodded. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s OK babe, you didn”t know.” He slowed the car, pulling into the lane for the airport. “Its just one night. I want it to be special for you. Understand?” Paul looked him in the eye. “Yes Sir.”
Paul pulled into the drop off. He never got out of the car when Joe was around. “I’m gonna miss you but next week will be fun, I promise.” The older man leaned in and kissed him. “Love you.” Joe replied. “Love you too.”
It was Monday evening and Joe had just finished a tag match, tagging alongside Matthew against Colby and Drew. Sunday’s Clash of Champions match was announced as a Title Street Fight. Joe hadn’t had one of those in over a year. Part of him was looking forward to beating the crap out of Colby with Kendo Sticks and whatnot and another part of him knew he’d be a bit banged up “meeting” Paul’s friends a few nights later. Great timing!
Joe quickly showered and got changed. As he was packing his case, Colby walked in. “Hey man,” Joe looked up. “Leaving so soon?” Colby asked. “I just wanna rest.”
“Aww man, I was gonna ask if you wanted to come out for a few drinks with us. Just at the hotel. I figured since Paul wasn’t around, you might wanna join us?”
“Aww man that’s real nice but-” Colby cut him off. “Come on man. You never come out with us anymore. The guys think something’s up.”
“What do you mean?” Joe asked with a furrowed brow. “Well, you disappear off all of a sudden after the show. You used to come out all the time so they’re starting to ask questions.” Colby explained “I hadn’t realised.”
“Hey man, I just wanted to let you know. Might help to show your face once in a while, keep up appearances y’know?”
Joe raised his eyebrows. “I guess you twisted my arm.”
“Awesome! You’re staying at The Regency right?” Colby checked. “Yeah, I’m heading there now. Meet you guys at 11?” He checked before they parted ways.
Joe arrived at his room about 20 minutes later. He jumped into the shower and freshened up. All he wanted to do was sleep but he needed to make time for his friends. He hadn’t realised he’d been neglecting them so hopefully tonight would change their minds. He slipped into smart black pants and a black shirt and headed down to the bar. There were about 5 others there including Colby, Drew, Jay, Kevin and Matthew. He blended in easily, like he normally did. They spent the next couple of hours catching up about work, life and generally having a laugh. Every now and then Joe would catch Drew’s eye. They hadn’t had a proper chance to catch up in person since that day in the hotel parking lot. After Colby called it a night, thanks to an early flight the next morning and the others were disbanding, Joe tapped Drew on the shoulder as he walked towards the lifts.
“Hey,” Joe said softly as Drew’s eyes met his. “I wanted to speak with you alone.”
“What”s up?” The scot asked casually.
“I just wanted to say sorry about everything that went down with Paul over the past while. I swear, it’s been nothing but drama recently.”
“You can say that again.” A small smile crept across Drew’s face as he pressed the button for the lift. “Are things better?” The lift door opened and they both stepped in. Joe pressed the button for the 9th floor. He looked at Drew to see what floor he needed. “I’m 9th too actually.” The doors closed. “So, are things better between you two?”
Joe hesitated a little as the lift slowed and the doors opened. His tone was hushed. “As well as can be expected. Things can’t be perfect all the time.” He shrugged his shoulders as they started down the hallway. Joe didn”t want to wake any of the other guests. “I’d been wanting to talk to you about it actually.”
“Really?” Joe looked at him with interest. “This is me,” Drew stopped outside room 382. “Do you want to come in?”
Joe looked down the hallway towards, his room. “OK, sure.” Gingerly he stepped in behind Drew. He hadn’t been alone with him in a hotel room like this in a while. Such good memories. He moved towards the sofa, following Drew’s lead. “Yeah so, I just thought it’d be good to have a chat since Paul’s not around. These kinda moments are a rarity nowadays.”
Joe forced a smile, lowering to the sofa, his body turned on it’s side to face Drew who was sat on the other end. “I know, we spend so much time together. It’s funny, Colby said earlier that some people have started to ask questions since I’m not around as much anymore.”
“I have heard a few people mention it yeah.” Drew confirmed. “It’s nobody’s business what you do in your free time but…you had me worried a while back. I’ve known Paul for quite a while now and I have to say, I’m a bit concerned.”
“Why?” Joe tried to brush it off.
“C’mon Joe, don’t play me for a fool. I know what kinda temper he’s got and how manipulative he can be. I just don’t want you to feel he’s backed you into a corner. I speak from experience…” Drew confessed, his eyes meeting Joe. “Don’t look so surprised. I may not look it now but I, too had a past with him. I looked up to him, I wanted to make an impression.” A long sigh escaped Joe as he sat forward looking into space. “I would do anything to make him happy until one day, I had enough. He was wearing me down physically, mentally…I just don’t want the same to happen to you.” Drew edged closer leading Joe to eventually look at him. “I’ve never known anyone like him before. I can’t explain it but It’s like I’m drawn in and I can’t go back. Even when things get bad, I…” He took a deep breath. Drew placed his hand on Joe shoulder “It’s OK…”
“It is OK. I keep telling myself that. We have these sweet moments where everything is perfect and I don’t want it to end but then, something happens and he’s suddenly in a mood. I feel like I’m treading on thin ice around him.”
“That’s how I felt. Sometimes he’d get physical-” Joe could see something building up inside Drew. “Hey, Drew, we don’t have to talk about this.” Joe said placing his hand on his knee. “I just don’t want to see you get hurt.”
“I’m a big boy. I can handle myself.” Joe replied softly, trying to lighten the mood. Within moments, the room had fallen silent and Drew had leaned in to kiss Joe. The Samoan pulled away gently.
“I can’t .”
“Why not? Don’t you remember how we were? We couldn’t keep our hands off each other-” Drew pushed as Joe leaned back into the corner of the sofa. “I promised myself to him Drew. I can’t break it.”
“That’s bullshit. You could leave him right now if you were man enough. I want you so bad Joe-” He trailed his hand down to the bulge in Joe’s pants. Joe could feel his heart racing at Drew’s touch. “Just one night. Please. Nobody has to know…” Joe looked up at him with big brown eyes, almost speechless before Drew leaned in and kissed him again, gently. Eventually he reciprocated and soon enough they became entangled in a frenzy removing each others clothes.
Soon, they found themselves on the bed, Joe kneeling in front of Drew. His body shuddered as the lube touched his opening. “I’ve been waiting for this moment again…” Drew trailed off, a tone of conviction in his voice. His left hand rested on Joe lower back as he prepared his entrance. The Samoan”s low groans filled the room. He lowered his head, unable to bring himself to look Drew in the eye. Before he knew it, Drew was starting to penetrate him with his thick, hard cock. He knew how big Drew was but he was never prepared. “Aaaah fuck!” Joe fisted the bedsheets below, taking in his width. “I’m almost in.” Drew licked his lips, trailing his hand down Joe back, trying to comfort him. Drawn out breaths escaped Joe, trying to adjust to his size. Slowly and steadily, Drew began to fuck him. Joe lowered his head, feeling a deep level of shame, with every thrust but he couldn”t stop Drew. He was fucking him harder now, driving him into the mattress. “Please, fuck!” Joe let out burying his head into the pillow below as a way to muffle his own cries. “I’m cumming-” Drew panted before his seed shot into Joe's hole. He held Joe body firmly against his until he had completely relieved himself. As he pulled out, Joe slowly scrambled to one side of the bed, his body curling up. He had an awful feeling in the pit of his stomach. Drew crawled towards him, placing his hand on his shoulder, forcing him to roll onto his back. He could see the glassy look in Joe eyes as he looked down on him. He knew how Joe was feeling but he chose to ignore it, instead leaning down to place a kiss on his lips. He laid down at his side, placing his hand across his chest, rubbing, trying to ease him. “You deserve better Joe.”
He didn’t speak. He just swallowed, resting his hand on Drew’s before they eventually drifted off to sleep.
It was almost 5am when Joe stirred awake. He rubbed his eyes and looked off to his left. The room was only lit by a small opening in the curtains. It was almost sunrise. Drew was sound asleep next to him, lying on his stomach, his head turned the opposite direction. Joe lay thinking to himself for a few minutes and carefully slid out of the bed. He tiptoed around the room collecting his clothing from the night before and got dressed before quietly leaving the room.
He felt both relieved and pretty shitty for leaving Drew like that but he couldn’t face him. He already felt bad enough for sleeping with him. He got undressed again and climbed into his bed, determined to get a few more hours sleep before flying home at lunchtime.

Hey, Vince! You got any resources on 18th century sleeping gowns/apparel? Or did ppl just sleep w the same shirts they wore during the day? I really want my first sewing project to be something comfy enough that I can wear to sleep or just laze around the house... I was going to try to make a simple shirt as it seems like a good place to start since you said it is simple and just a buch of rectangles, but I'm unsure, would you say the shirt is comfortable to sleep in? XOXO -H.
They did have nightgowns, yes! I don’t know how prevalent they were and how many people slept in shirts instead, haven’t done any research on that, but I can confirm that 18th century shirts are plenty comfortable for sleeping in. I keep meaning to make more nightgowns, but I haven’t yet, so I sleep in my 18th century shirts. (Even my Regency fitted flannel undershirts are comfortable enough to sleep in because the sleeve has such good range of motion.)
Here’s a print from 1795 of a guy sleepwalking and clearly wearing a shirt, so some people must have slept in them.
Here’s an extant nightgown that was sold at auction, dated to the 18th century.
It appears to be constructed in much the same way as a shirt, but longer and with more fullness in the back, and a different collar. (The same style of ruffled collar you see on the shirts of young boys.)
There’s also this nightshirt and this one, but they both appear to be early 1800′s.

MICHAEL SESTAK’S CUSTOM LIGHTING SACRAMENTO
Michael Todd Sestak discusses effective teaching Teacher as a role model Course material Preparations
Michael Sestak’s light-bulb moment was a literal one. After years as a pastry chef, Sestak left the sweet life behind to start a shiny new career in lighting design.
“Pastry is about presenting the end of the dinner with something showy, fun, and creative,” says Sestak, who studied at City College of San Francisco’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Program. “That’s the connective thread from one career to another: In pastry and in lighting design, you mix ingredients together to make something great. Now those ingredients happen to be wood, steel, glass, and electricity instead of flour and sugar.”
Michael Sestak used his keen artistic eye not only for breathtaking feats of baking but also in remodeling his various homes—first in San Francisco, then in
Sacramento, where he moved in 1986 to serve as a pastry chef for the Hyatt Regency. It was lighting that he found most transformative.
“Adding lighting to a home makes it more enjoyable,” the Carmichael resident says. “Friends would come over and ask me to do the same thing to their homes, and that’s when the light bulb went off.”
Custom lighting solutions
In 2000, Michael Sestak left a star-studded pastry career—he’d designed pastry showpieces for The Rolling Stones, Ella Fitzgerald, and Cartier—to see what he could create with electricity.
After acquiring a contractor’s license and taking courses sponsored by SMUD and the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, he opened Sestak Lighting Design. Over the past 17 years, Sestak has designed custom lighting solutions for high-profile residential clients, including Mark Friedman, Lina, and Ken Fat, Jeanne Reaves, Cecilia Deluty, and Vince Jacobs. He’s also done commercial projects like the McKinley Village underpass, The Barn in West Sacramento, Governor’s Mansion State Historic Park, and The Sutter Club.
“I consider myself a resource in lighting,” says Sestak, who conducts what he calls “collaborative interviews” with clients to figure out what they want. “There’s a giant world of discovery when it comes to lighting. It’s a great place to play and create and have lots of fun, but there’s also a lot of science behind it. I can look at the photometric of a fixture and tell you what it’s going to do, how much light will come out of it, so we can select the one that will illuminate the space properly.”
Common thing Michael Sestak
The most common thing Michael Sestak is asked about these days is LED lighting.
“LED brings with it a whole new world and lexicon,” Sestak says, adding that lighting has come a long way from the “plug-and-play” incandescent and fluorescent bulbs on grocery-store shelves. “I try to take the mystique out of it and explain to the layperson that it’s just a light source that can be used in many different ways. LED is actually most exciting because it allows you to use color with light. That’s what I did with the McKinley Village underpass and The Barn. It’s also energy-efficient and long-lasting, but it’s the artistic applications that make people ooh and ah.”
Recent technological advances also allow consumers to interact more directly with lighting displays, either through smartphone apps or the communication potential of colored LEDs.
“Lighting is no longer just a wall switch,” Sestak says. “The current idea in Sacramento is how to use color for the facades of buildings—how color can act as a message for the city. For example, purple lights for a Kings game; pink for breast cancer awareness; red, white, and blue for patriotic holidays. When lighting is applied strategically, it can send a message and communicate. That’s what’s most exciting to me right now: the ability to share light as art and to use it in a way you’ve never seen.”

Michael Todd Sestak believes more than simply academic knowledge is required for effective teaching. You must be able to communicate with others and assist them in grasping a fresh perspective on life. This is not a simple task! Even though there are many diverse ways to teach effectively, outstanding instructors have a few characteristics according to Michael Todd Sestak.
They are well-prepared, have clear and fair standards, have a pleasant attitude, are patient with pupils, and regularly evaluate their teaching. They may adapt their teaching tactics to the students as well as the topic, knowing that students learn in various ways. You are a role model who sets the tone for the class as a teacher. Your pupils are more inclined to reciprocate if you can demonstrate excitement and devotion. When you are negative, unprepared, or irritable, your kids will reflect these traits in their attitudes. Students at universities have high expectations of their professors, and they also have a variety of conflicting interests outside of the subject you’re teaching. Give students a cause to remember your class as a pivotal moment in their college career! Maintain a pleasant attitude to keep your students engaged as per Michael Todd Sestak.
Learning skills
When students are driven to learn rather than by grades or degree requirements, teaching is most successful. Many new teaching assistants are perplexed by their newfound authority and misinterpret intimidation for respect. Consider your pupils as allies rather than foes. Learning and teaching might be difficult, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy yourself in the classroom. Maintain your concentration, but don’t be scared to be imaginative and inventive.
Michael Todd Sestak says Allow yourself to be excited and discover methods to show pupils what makes your topic intriguing. You should be familiar with the course material. It seems natural that you would attend lectures and read assignments if students are compelled to do so. Graduate TAs are expected to attend lectures by most professors, especially if they have never taken or taught the course before. If you’re unsure about essential concepts or ideas, go over them again, especially if it’s been a while since you’ve worked with the subject you’ll be teaching. Consider how the topic may be demonstrated most effectively and devise a method in the eyes of Michael Todd Sestak.
Prepare your overheads, diagrams, handouts, and other aids well in advance, and write an outline or take notes to follow throughout a presentation. Don’t put it off until the day of the class! Have an arrangement for what you need to instruct. Your responsibility is to outline key focuses and fundamental settings, to assist understudies with incorporating their work (perusing, labs, tests, papers, addresses, and so on) for the course. Given that there will never be an ideal opportunity to show everything, pick the main ideas and show how they are connected. Clarify thoughts so understudies can expand on the material they have effectively dominated, regardless of whether from your course or past classes. Don’t simply focus on what you end up being instructed today. Show understudies how the thing they are adapting now is associated with material shrouded later in the course. Remember your drawn-out objectives, find a steady speed so you don’t use up all available time toward the end, and attempt to end each class with an end. Viable educators can clarify complex thoughts simply according to Michael Todd Sestak. As you foster ability in a scholarly field, it is not difficult to fail to remember that understudies may have no earlier information on basic ideas that you underestimate. Assist understudies with comprehension and utilize new phrasing, so they can get conversant in the language of your order.
Ideas
Numerous ideas pointed by Michael Todd Sestak can be all the more viably shown with visual guides like graphs, drawings, diagrams, slides, and so forth Ensure that they are sufficiently huge to see, adequately slick to peruse, and don’t hold up traffic! Consider the job non-verbal communication can play. Having your instruction seen by another person can uncover propensities that you could never see all alone. Keep your understudies thinking

Save The Date, Ch. 3 AKA How Do You Delete Pixelated Characters?
What happened this week:
Buy an outfit fit for either a wedding outfit, or a regency-era-themed flight attendant. It’s hard to tell.
Steve Sid the rockstar is getting married to his bride “Leggy” but they’re still wedding planning the day of the wedding? I’m neither a wedding planner, nor a bride, but I’m 100% positive that that’s not how wedding planning works.
The bride has mommy issues and is a perfect 2-in-1 representation of that meme I made, in which PB uses a spinner to decide what to write in their chapters. Check it out, I made an updated version!
Nora’s picking out a dress at Lindsay’s shop and I already really like both of them. However, Nora’s dick brother babysits us because we’re irresponsible, and Mr. CEO has nothing business-related or literally anything else to do.
Nora gets bride nerves or whatever and there was no way in hell I was gonna go let her dick, douche, misogynist brother offer her words of comfort after the way he’s talked to us. Thank God Nora’s a lesbian.
PB makes Dale the ugliest exes ever so we probably don’t thirst over them, knowing us. Male!Dale is Vince with an equally awful hairdo, and Female!Dale is a 50 year old hag who wants to speak to the manager for having the item one aisle off from its usual spot.
Dale’s bimbo fiance(e) is the biggest of bimboes.
MC can’t control her temper to save her life and if Justin were a lot less dickish and douchey, then maybe I’d agree with him for having reason to fire her. He still doesn’t need to come after our ass and tell us everything we do below his personal standards just to belittle us. I won’t be able to stand his nor our ass for a whole book, I swear.
Thoughts:
I cannot believe PB had the audacity to spend on writing yet another wedding themed book, then make it the 2nd biggest piece of shit (sorry, not sorry, Sunkissed) as of recent. It doesn’t deserve any more of my time tonight (this morning, actually. It’s almost 2am)

Michael B. Jordan’s Upcoming Movies: What’s Next After Without Remorse
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
It has been such a pleasure watching Michael B. Jordan evolve onscreen. From his breakout as Wallace, the emotional center of the first season of The Wire, to Vince Howard, the anchor of the latter seasons of Friday Night Lights, on to film projects that showcased his true leading man ability like Creed and Fruitvale Station, Jordan has always projected both naturalism and star power. He’s been compared to Denzel Washington by The Hollywood Reporter, listed as a “rising young star” in just about every media trade publication, and has even been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive. Yet despite this, Jordan still projects an everyman quality that makes him believable in superhero spectacles and courtroom dramas alike.
Jordan’s next film is Without Remorse, which hits Amazon Prime on Friday. Based on the Tom Clancy novel of the same name, Without Remorse is a film set in the Jack Ryan universe and centers on U.S. Navy SEAL John Clark taking revenge on the Russian assassins who murdered his wife. Originally scheduled for release a year ago, Without Remorse was planned as part one of a two-part series centered on Clancy’s character, with Rainbow Six, adapted from the novel and video game series of the same name, set to follow.
While we wait on further news about Without Remorse and its potential follow-up, here are some of the other irons that Michael B. Jordan has in the fire.
A Journal for Jordan
As mentioned above, Jordan has often been compared to a young Denzel Washington, and those comparisons should come heavier than ever with Jordan set to star in A Journal from Jordan with Washington as his director. A Journal for Jordan is based on the memoir by Dana Canedy and follows First Sergeant Charles Monroe King as he compiles a 200-page journal for his infant son in case he does not return home from the war in Iraq. Combining King’s fatherly letters on how to withstand disappointment, deal with adversaries, and behave on a date, along with Dana’s own memory of her love story with Charles, A Journal for Jordan is a mother’s intensely honest portrait of her child’s parents.
Michael B. Jordan is set to star as King with Chanté Adams onboard to portray Canedy. The film is set to be released on Dec. 10, 2021.
Methuselah
It’s always exciting when an A-list actor teams with one of our most accomplished visual storytellers on a project, and that’s exactly what we’re set to receive with Jordan teaming with the great Danny Boyle on the biblical epic Methuselah.
The Book of Genesis talks about Methuselah, descendant of Adam’s son Seth and the son of the righteous Enoch, one of two people named in scripture that did not die but were miraculously transported directly to Heaven. Methuselah is said to be the oldest person on record in human history, having died at 969 (niiiiice) years old. Methuselah was the grandfather of Noah and is said to have died the week before the flood.
The film is slated to be an action/adventure story that showcases Methuselah’s unparalleled survival skills. At one point, Tom Cruise was attached to a Methuselah project with Joachim Rønning set to direct, but plans fell through with little explanation. This version of the project is said to be in pre-production, but details are still scarce.
Creed III
With Jordan flying high now, the actor is set for his directorial debut, taking over directing duties for the third film in his Creed franchise. After defeating Viktor Drago, the son of the man that killed his father, there’s no telling exactly where Donny’s story will be headed next, but one thing that seems certain is that Rocky Balboa will not be a part of it. Sylvester Stallone announced on his Instagram that he would not be reprising his role as the legendary boxer in the third film in the franchise, seemingly finding Creed II to be the logical endpoint for his character. If you recall, Creed II concludes with Rocky making amends with his own son and meeting his grandson for the first time.
Fans can expect Tessa Thompson to return as Bianca and the film will likely find the pair continuing to navigate being parents to a deaf child. It is rumored that Creed III could have yet another tie to the original Rocky franchise and see Donnie square off against the son of Rocky III’s Clubber Lang. Stallone has said that he would love to see real-life boxer Deontay Wilder portray the son of Lang. Other rumors suggest that Mr. T, who portrayed Lang, could make an appearance.
Creed III is slated for release on Nov. 23, 2022.
Wrong Answer
Wrong Answer is poised to be the fourth collaboration between Jordan and director Ryan Coogler after Fruitvale Station, Creed, and Black Panther. Based on an article by Rachel Aviv in The New Yorker, Wrong Answer focuses on the 2006 standardized test cheating scandal at Atlanta public schools which found 11 teachers indicted on racketeering allegations.
Jordan is set to star as teacher Damany Lewis, who joined the effort in order to prevent his school from shutting down under provisions of the No Child Left Behind law. Author, journalist, and comic book writer Ta-Nehisi Coates will write the screenplay. The movie is set-up with New Regency Productions and Brad Pitt’s Plan B. It is believed that Wrong Answer will be Coogler’s next film after Black Panther II, which currently does not have a release date and is in pre-production.

@agarlandoffreshlycuttears another for you, because I felt badly for doing the others and not this one, and you were so kind in your review of this fic. So here I go with a Boosh and Prejudice commentary:
“You would have me as your guest? For as long as I chose?” Vince felt his chest constrict painfully at the possibility of Howard’s proposal. The emotions pouring forth from his heart were threatening to flood him completely and he needed something to cling to before he was swept away entirely. He moved until he and Howard were facing one another, his hands resting on Howard’s arms, taking comfort in the other man’s solid presence.
(The word ‘proposal’ was really important to me here. I’m a sucker for romance and proposals and engagements and when I wrote this marriage equality seemed so very far off and so I wanted to give Vince the closest I could to a proper Regency romance proposal.
And I think I spent rather a long time trying to ensure that the metaphor of this paragraph was constant but not overworked. I’m not sure I succeeded. Vince mentions in other chapters how he isn’t used to crying so much, or having his emotions upset him so entirely and so I liked the image of his emotions now being like a flood, all those tears bursting forth, and how Howard is so solid and the only thing he can cling to in such a moment.
“I would have you live with me, in my home, for as long as you chose,” Howard spoke, his voice rough as he fought against his own torrent of emotion.
Vince gave a short laugh, one of disbelief and joy, confusion and just a touch of panic. He leaned his head toward Howard, wanting to show his delight and agreement with a kiss, and took a step forward to enter his embrace.
(This is Vince throwing all fear to the winds. He is going to show his love out in the open. The outdoors was also really important to me in this fic. Leaving the drawing room behind, so to speak. When they’re outside they seem better able to show their love, but it is usually among trees or in the garden, in the early morning or at night, away from the trappings of the houses and society but still hidden. Here they are right out in the open, and being open is what Vince has wanted from the start, and so this gesture by Howard is so important to him.
“Aargh!”
“Vince!?”
Howard caught the younger man as he fell, the pain of taking his weight so suddenly on his twisted ankle having sent him into a faint.
“Vince? Vince, was that a yes?” Howard whispered, unsure of why he felt the need to speak in hushed tones.
He gave the man a light shake but Vince’s head merely moved about like that of a small girl’s rag doll and he remained unconscious.
“Oh dear,” was all Howard could think to say.
(Comedy was needed. It was all too sincere and happy. Howard doesn’t get any happy without a fight and I’m not done with either of them yet. Also, it’s a call back as previously Vince has asserted that he isn’t a young lady prone to faints and sprained ankles, yet there he goes. I like making Howard do those little expressions of ‘oh dear’. Short and to the point, biggest understatement of the Regency period. And at this point there is actually a chapter break I think, because I thought it the best way to end that scene. Tiny bit of comedy, tiny bit of drama.
The arrival of Vince, unconscious and in the arms of Mr Darcy, at the Bennet home, caused a significant stir. Mrs Bennet shrieked and burst into tears, telling anyone who would listen that she had been against Vince going shooting from the very beginning and had known that some evil or other would befall him. Mary and Jane meanwhile escorted Mr Darcy to the sitting room where Vince was placed carefully and lovingly on the sofa. Mr Darcy insisted on removing Vince’s boots and elevating the injured ankle - which was dreadfully swollen - on a cushion.
(Mrs Bennet is so very much my step-mother. Oh so much. In the original P&P too. And she infuriates me. Because we all know she was the one who basically bullied Vince in to go out to the shooting that day, which led to him twisting his ankle, but she lives entirely in her own world and is always the one wronged, never the other way around. But she’s also a fabulous character and I basically lifted her straight from the original and barely tweaked her. Jane and Mary are very much the real ladies of the house, and do what needs to be done. Gosh but I love them. And I felt it necessary to show that Vince isn’t really over reacting, he really did hurt his ankle. Oh, and that Howard’s actions are so obviously loving and caring, the way he carries Vince, lays him down, removes the boot, and rests it on a cushion. Even when Howard is awkward with words, awkward under the scrutiny of others, his genuine actions are full of love and adoration.
“Thank you, Mr Darcy,” Mary said reassuringly as he hovered about his unconscious charge.
“Yes, thank you,” echoed Jane. “He shall be quite alright, we assure you.”
“It is true,” Mary smiled. “He cut himself with the scissors a few years ago and fainted from the pain and the sight of his own blood and remained completely insensible for two hours.”
(Can I go off script for a bit to talk about Mary and Jane? So many interpretations portray Jane a vapid or lacking in substance and that really bothers me, it’s the same way people treat Hero in ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ but they are characters with so much potential, and so is Mary, yet she is so often portrayed as sour and dowdy. The 2005 P&P is kinder on Mary, showing her as young and awkward but kind, but in my mind Mary Bennet has been on so many adventures and lived Such a life! I love her very dearly. And something I wanted to do with this story was to play around with the expectations made of the characters. Elizabeth Bennet is quite proud of how un-accomplished she is; she can’t play piano well or paint or do the things ladies are supposed to in order to win a husband. So I gave those things to Vince, because really they fit with his character. And to Jane I gave Elizabeth’s sensible side and to both her and Mary I gave Elizabeth’s wit and intelligence because it shouldn’t be just the heroine/hero who has such traits. And I didn’t want to erase Elizabeth from the story, so I gave her essence to her sisters. Really, once I let Mary and Jane lose in my mind it was so easy just to let them chat and tease and act like regular sisters.
Howard nodded uncomfortably, looking once more at Vince. He had a sudden fear that he would wake up with no memory of their conversation, or worse, would come to his senses and assert a desire to never lay eyes upon Howard again. Howard felt panic begin to well up within him. He needed some way of assuring Vince of his devotion whilst not being actually present when he awoke and, he realised, he would need to act swiftly, as the two eldest Miss Bennets were beginning to wonder at his lack of response. At which point his gaze happened to fall upon the writing desk in the corner and the paper thereon.
“Might I,” he stuttered. “Might I borrow paper and a pen?”
“Yes, certainly,” Jane said, her brow creasing in confusion. “But you are welcome to stay.”
“No, no, I... must retrieve our rifles, and assure the rest of our party that Vince is taken care of.”
(Howard will always, without fail, assume the worst. As if Vince, who has been gazing at him adoringly for fifty whole chapters at this point. But really he knows he’s no good at confessing his feelings. He’s liable to say something wrong or lose confidence or worse, and so he wants to find a way of expressing himself without letting himself get in the way. And his excuse is such an obvious lie, bless him. I expect he was intimidated by Jane and Mary, because he’s not great with people he doesn’t know well.
Gosh I liked writing this. I think I basically wrote a chapter a day. They aren’t long chapters but still. I liked the way Howard and Vince transferred so well in to that world and I loved fleshing out Mary and Jane Charlotte and Mr Bennet especially. I’m not so good at the comedy though, it’s all rather sincere and heartfelt, which is probably where it falls short most. But it was fun to write.
