Re: 49% & 51% of Kim Dokja
Realizing that Dokja gave the part of him that wasn't a "Reader" bc he thought that would be the part of him his companions would like the most, and would be the most "normal" part of him got me crying for hours, like genuinely I was bawling my eyes out bc is such a familiar feeling. (This is one of the ways in which I interpreted it, I'm not really sure if its canon though)
It reminded me of how we usually hide our passions from the others, especially if we're into things that are considered too niche or weird by the general public bc we have this crippling anxiety inside ourselves that tells us that nobody will ever understand or love this part of us, bc it's too much, too intense, too unusual. And also many of us have our own doses of trauma associated with having interests that were "different" during our teenage years.
Like for me, even in my adult life I feel like having a heart attack anytime I mention one of my interests (anime, manga, asian novels in general, rock music, etc yk all that nerdy otaku stuff) and its so so difficult to show that part of me without feeling literal physical pain.
It also means a lot to me that Dokja49% was "reencarnated" as Lee Hakhyun and Lee Hakhyun became a writer who loves his readers very much, who are mostly fragments of Dokja51%.
It's all coming around to show us how he learns to love and save every part of himself, giving him what he loves most -a story- or that's the idea I'm currently getting from the Side Story (still not up to date).
So this rant might be slightly unaccurate canon-wise but god it makes me so sad.

"WWX proclaimed himself the enemy of the cultivation world"
So why he didn't even knew about this? Why he would do that if he just wanted to live in peace and whitout upsetting even more the Clans, that very much could kill him?
Put the quote of the chapter.
"Just because JC is a sect leader doesn't mean he has more influence than JGS"
NMJ said YMJ was very powerfull, JGS was drolling over WWX's power, JGY said that if JC wasn't such a bitch he could have been a huge sect with WWX and the cultivators that where coming because of him, the war hero.
One of the sect leaders spoke in a bitter tone, "This time, Lotus Pier is really the center of attention. Almost all spirits and corpses were summoned to the grounds of the YunmengJiang Sect. Certainly there would be a good number of cultivators interested in them.
Sect Leader Yao, "What can we do? Whose fault is it that our sects do not have Wei WuXian?
"Being cut off their loved ones of the reencarnation circle"
Quote? Wich chapter say that? Because i saw a totally different thing.
Wei WuXian's ghost path could only call those who already were meant to rise. He can disturb the dead's sleep by destroying their grave but once the battle finished, they could still move on! He never destroyed any reincarnation cycle.
Not even with Wen Ning, MXTX herself said someday in the future Wen Ning would die truly and he will enter the cycle of reincarnation
If you can tell me a quote of the novel he does that, please show me.
In fact, when JC tells WWX that he can't protect him if he defends the Wen Remnants, WWX flat out /rejects/ him. (So what are you crying to JC for?) WWX believes he can protect them himself. And he does. For almost a couple of years.
WWX rejects because JC way of 'help' was burning WN and giving away elders and a 2 years old baby back to a forced work camp:
Jiang Cheng, "It's all over? How would that be possible?! Don't you know how many eyes are watching you right now? How many are watching your amulet? If they had a chance, you wouldn't be right not even if it's right!"
Wei WuXian, "You already said. I wouldn't be right even if is right. What else could I do but lock myself in here?"
Jiang Cheng, "What else? Of course there is something.", With Sandu, he pointed at Wen Ning, who was lying on the ground, "The only way to make it up is for us to end things before they get a chance to do it!"
Wei WuXian, "Finish what?"
Jiang Cheng, "Burn this corpse right now and return all those remnants of the Wen Sect. It's the only way to make the matter die!", As he spoke, he raised his sword again, preparing to strike. attack.
However, Wei WuXian squeezed his wrist, "Are you kidding?! If we returned Wen Qing and the others, they would find nothing but death!
Jiang Cheng, "I doubt you'll even return all of them. Why you care what end they will meet? Let it be death, then — what does it. Does it have anything to do with you?!"
Wei WuXian finally lost his temper, "Jiang Cheng! What- Do What do you think you're talking about?! Save it — don't make me spank you! Do not forget. Who helped us to incinerate Uncle's bodies? Jiang and Madam Yu? Who gave us back the ashes that are right now at Lotus Pier? And who welcomed us when were we running away from Wen Chao?!"
Jiang Cheng, "I'm the one who wants to give you a fucking spanking! Yes, they helped before, but why the hell don't you understand that, at this moment, Is any remnant of the Wen Sect a target of criticism?! It doesn't matter whoever they are, just having the surname Wen has already committed the most serious crime! And whoever protects the Wen is at risk of being convicted of everyone! All the people hate the Dogs-Wen so much, that, as the worse their death, the better it will be. Anyone who protects them will be against the whole world. No one would speak for them, and no one would speak to their please too!"
Wei WuXian, "I don't need anyone to speak on my behalf."
Chapter 73: Recklessness - Part two
(Interesting to say he saw A'Yuan just a moment ago, and still has THIS opinion)
The "cry" is because JC could have said everything the Wen siblings but he didn't because he was in bad mood
Jiang Cheng's brows were furrowed. He massaged the vein that was pulsing in his temple and took a deep breath silently, ".. I apologize to all Sect Leaders. All of you, I'm afraid not know that the Wen cultivator whom Wei WuXian wanted to save called Wen Ning. We owe him and his sister a debt of gratitude. Wen Qing for what happened during the Sunfall Campaign."
Nie MingJue, "Do you owe them a debt of gratitude? Wasn't it QishanWen who caused the annihilation of the YunmengJiang Sect?" These past few years, Jiang Cheng insisted on working late into the night. every day. That day, he had just decided to rest more early, and he had to run in the middle of the night to the Carp Tower because of the thundering news. He had been suppressing some of the anger under his fatigue from the beginning. With his natural competitiveness, he was alreadyquite agitated about having to apologize to other people. When heard Nie MingJue mention his sect's incident again, hatredwelled up inside him.
Chapter 73: Recklessness - Part two
Even when LAN XICHEN speaked for them
Lan XiChen replied a moment later, "I've heard the name of Wen Qing a few times. I don't remember her having participated in any of the crimes in the Sunfall Campaign."
Nie MingJue, "But she never stopped them either."
Lan XiChen, "Wen Qing was one of the people Wen RuoHan most trusted. How could she stop them?
Chapter 73: Recklessness - Part two
And LAN WANGJI tried to speak for WN and WQ when they arrived at the koi tower (and the Lans still haven't faced any threats, except when LWJ is caught by his clan, and even that his repitation still intact and protected. In fact, i'm pretty sure the others would have said WWX tricked the rightous HanGuang-jun, like JGY said after the suibian revelation)
Lan WangJi shook his head.
Wen Ning, "Thank you for interceding for me and my sister, at that time, at the Carp tower. I always remembered that. And I'm really sorry I lost control after.
JZX, who was the one to invite WWX despite knowing the opposition it would bring to him and DID cause.
I'm pretty sure if he could, he would NOT invite WWX, and even when he did, he didn't cared if he would be ambushed the way to carp tower
He even scoded him for trying to defend himself
Jin ZiXuan, However, he didn't know what was inside the box yet. He raised his hand and blocked the attack, yelling, "Wei WuXian! Haven't you already had the enough?!"
Wei WuXian's chest rose and fell heavily. her eyes were red. Jin ZiXuan and Jin ZiXun were cousins who had known each other since that they were children. With nearly twenty years between them at this point, it was really hard for him to defend a stranger. And actually, he too didn't like Wei WuXian as a person.
Collecting himself, he spoke, "Tell Wen Ning to stop first. let him continue his rage and make the situation worse than it already is."
Wei WuXian's voice was gruff, "... Why don't you make them stop first?"
Relentless screams and roars came from all around. Jin ZiXuan se raged, "Why are you still so stubborn at a time like this?
When everyone calms down, you can follow me back to the Tower of Carp to explain things and answer some questions. With all cleared up, if you didn't do it, of course you'll be fine!"
Wei WuXian, "Tell him to stop? As soon as I tell Wen Ning to stop stop now, the arrows will fly straight to my heart and it won't Not even my complete corpse will remain! And do you think I could explain the things in the Carp Tower?
Jin ZiXuan, "They won't do it!"
Wei WuXian chuckled, "You won't? How can you be sure? Jin ZiXuan, I have a question — when you invited me at the beginning, I really didn't knew about their plan to kill me?!
After years of persuading others to not take offence to WWX's words & actions, of lessening the load of WWX's disciplinary punishment, of standing at his side & understanding WWX without needing words to be spoken, it would be absurd to say JC ever stopped trying to protect him.
He did at the exactly time WWX decided to not follow Wen Zhulio's path with blind loyalty. He actually never understood WWX's thoughts and actions because he cared too little about him, and stoped when WWX tried to pay HIS LIFE DEBT!
JC is what he is, i don't understand why people want to make him the poor misunderstooding protagonist.
If WWX is the rightous protagonist and JC is an classicist antaghonist, and thats it, theres no need to make him a poor thing
I think i just said what i wanted to say, if you want to still discuss this know that i don't give a fuck and i'm too lazy to continue so you will discuss alone
Bye
Okay. Here's to the antis crying that Jiang Cheng should have done more for the Wen Remnants.
Just no. WWX had already proclaimed himself an enemy when he intruded upon a conference at Koi Tower to threaten that he'd kill whoever dared to stop him from rescuing the Remnants. Anyone, especially YMJ would be committing political and literal suicide by aiding with WWX.
YMJ would not have been able to survive that. They had just survived a mass massacre and a long war. In a climate made on hierarchy, JC is in his young 20s. He has no allies.
His current Sect is made of a thrown together a collection of rouge cultivators and fresh disciples he had to train in less than a few months right after he survived watching his Sect burn, being tortured, and losing his core. Then, WWX was gone.
Still, JC went to war. To avenge his family, his people, his land, and to protect them from a tyrant. With WRH down, now JGS is the next. And we see the direct and very public pressure JGS puts on JC to distance from WWX.
Just because 'JC is a Sect Leader' doesn't mean he has more influence than JGS and the elders of the Jin Sect. Maybe the Lan's would have had that respect, but they had their own issues to resolve and their own alliances to maintain.
Speaking of which, YMJ needed their alliance with the Jin's. Only then would JC have more sway. As allies, there would be less incentive to destroy YMJ. There would also be public scrutiny cast on the Jin's should they openly damage their alliance with YMJ. Scrutiny that JGS and JGY do not want when they are conducting nefarious schemes to gain control (see Xue Yang in his extra with JGY).
With JC actively working to make peace with the Jin's, in addition to having JZX engaged to JYL, JC is able to take the attention and pressure off WWX and the Wen Remnants. The people don't want to focus on the threat that WWX is to their lives, their culture, and their loved ones (if they get raised from death and cut off from the circle of reincarnation). They talk about the grand wedding hosted between the Jin's & Jiang's. They talk about the birth of JL and his celebrations.
In fact, when JC tells WWX that he can't protect him if he defends the Wen Remnants, WWX flat out /rejects/ him. (So what are you crying to JC for?) WWX believes he can protect them himself. And he does. For almost a couple of years.
When does it go wrong? When WWX leaves BM and is on his way to attend JL's celebration.Jin Zixun ambushes & scapegoats him (endorsed by JGS!) WWX loses control of WN and WN murders Jin Zixuan.
JZX, who was the one to invite WWX despite knowing the opposition it would bring to him and DID cause.
Even in the ridiculous situation of JC housing the Remnants in LP (nvm his and his people's trauma of the Wen's), the Jin's scheming to murder would have happened to WWX regardless of where he was with the Remnants.
It's f*cked up. But does JC have control over JGS and JGY? No. So stop blaming JC for their downfall. It was on WWX to protect the Wen's and to control WN, no one else.
(Note, if JZX, his firstborn son and Sect Heir, could not persuade JGS and his clan to back off from WWX, what makes you think JC could?)
Afterwards, WN and WQ both decide on their own that in order to answer for the deaths at Qiongqi Path and JZX's murder, that they comply to the Jin's demand. They go voluntarily.
They tell WWX that they are grateful to him for the extra year of life and peace he gave them.
They leave with no regrets.
Again, I must ask you, why blame JC for their deaths?
JC knew that their ruin would eventually occur and tried to warn WWX. JC tried to stop it from happening by killing WN when he was uncontrollable and unpredictable, when WN had no conscience. But JC doesn't kill him. Bc WWX told him not to.
(WN nearly breaks out of BM but luckily LWJ happened to be there to help WWX subdue him and somehow restore his conscience, which WWX never knew would happen. So JC's concerns were not unwarranted.)
Forget and ignore at your convenience, but JC DOES speak up for WWX's actions and reasons for defending the Wen Remnants. No one else does. (Again, see my previous thread.) At the Pledge Conference, where the Sects are deciding what to do about WWX after JZX's death at Nightless City, it would not be hard to assume JC would try to not have them execute WWX. In the end we don't know, but we can say that he was unhappy with their decision to hunt down WWX for good.
After years of persuading others to not take offence to WWX's words & actions, of lessening the load of WWX's disciplinary punishment, of standing at his side & understanding WWX without needing words to be spoken, it would be absurd to say JC ever stopped trying to protect him.
But JC is only human. He could only protect WWX, and when WWX rejected his help, he could not do much else. He could only delay the inevitable.
He could not have protected the Wen Remnants even if he wanted to. Just like how WWX wanted to save them, but couldn't in the world that they live in where an eye for an eye is never enough, and the consequences of their actions never die no matter what their intentions are.

When villainesses take the lead
We are the generation that grew up watching shows such as Digimon, Inuyasha and The Vision of Escaflowne. There is something attractive about works that involve journeys to other worlds with fantastical settings and exciting adventures. Let’s say, you have your normal fantastical plot: a common person falls into another world. There, they may develop or discover the possession of magical powers, live lots of magical occurrences and even may end up finding love! Magic Knight Rayearth, SAO and Zero no Tsukaima come to my mind, among others.
What’s so interesting about this type of fictional works? We receive the chance to explore themes of our interest, fulfil personal fantasies and escape from our common lives (the real world is already complicated on its own). This article shows how Escapism has its value.
There is a very interesting paradigm going on on Asiatic media concerning travels to other worlds. In fact, according to TV Tropes, this type of fictional work is called Isekai in Japanese media and it’s treated as a genre of its own. And yet, nowadays I find a very interesting twist in this type of media, a twist that makes things very entertaining.
The names of the works I’m talking about sound cliché and melodramatic: ‘My Next Live as a Villainess’, ‘Death is the Only Ending for the Villainess’, ‘The Villainess Lives Twice’, ‘The Villainess reverses the hourglass’. Others are more indirect, such as ‘The Abandoned Empress’ and ‘Your Throne’. Most are told from the point of view of females who have a traditional antagonist role.
I’ve always enjoyed ironic consumption, and these titles worked as magnets to me. What I ended up finding was a refreshing surprise: common women who fell into fantastical worlds made from the plots of novels and games they consumed in their free time, or more traditional ‘villainesses’ who travelled back in time to fix what was wrong in their first lives. In the first case, we would see normal girls who found themselves inside the bodies of ‘villainous’ characters and desperately trying to avoid their bad endings by the use of their knowledge of the plots while commenting on clichés and traditional tropes. In the second case, we see female characters who more or less identify with their ‘villainous’ role and try to change their bad outcomes while learning about themselves and what drove them to make their bad choices.
What do these types of works have in common? They are genre deconstructions. According to TV Tropes, deconstructions happen when a fictional work takes its elements apart and shows how certain elements would work in real life, by contrasting them to ‘real situations’ or parodying them. Sarcastic main characters help, too.
There is a very interesting trend among Asian Media (mainly works made by Korean authors, but there are Japanese too) concerning the deconstruction of traditional stories directed to the female public.
Why is this expression of the isekai genre so interesting?
First, because most stories deal with settings of historical fantasy, where we can indulge ourselves with beautiful Period dresses, gorgeous mansions and attractive love interests. One can’t help but remember the works of Jane Austen or the Brontë Sisters.
Second, because the twists of these works feel refreshing. We consider other points of view. We see why villains become what they become. We get to learn new plot points. Deconstructions give an interesting dose of realism and pragmatism to stories. They are refreshing because they give new angles to an old genre and we can identify with the situations.
But let’s not forget: the focus of this essay is villainesses. We get to see the story from the point of view of female characters who don’t portray themselves as good people and some even feel content with their roles.
Raised in a world where women receive lots of double standards, being pressured from young ages to be proper and good and yet receiving worse punishments than guys for doing the same things like them as a result of unrealistic expectations, along with some unhealthy extremes of social justice culture, where we are oddly pressured to change ourselves and learn from our mistakes yet we are not allowed to fully grow from them, it isn’t hard to identify with villainesses. After all, it is unavoidable to find ourselves as the villains of someone else’s life events. We are not perfect people and we fuck up sometimes. Especially when we are young.
So, why are villainesses so interesting? Because they fuck up, too. These characters don’t try to be saintly good girls and they acknowledge their situations. There is an interesting dose of cynicism underlying these works, in some, it’s more open than in others, such as ‘Your Throne’. Some female leads are noble demons who try to not drag third parties into their schemes, like Medea Belial in the work I previously mentioned. Others define themselves as villainess yet behave as anti-heroines are their worst, such as Aria Roscente in ‘The Villaines Reverses the Hourglass’. And others are heroes who still place themselves in the roles of villains, like Catarina Claes in ‘My Next Life as a Villainess!’’.
What do these three have in common? The leads also have internalized in themselves some moral standards about good and evil.
I don’t think it is surprising to find these types of works during the current fourth wave of Feminism we are living in. Terms such as internalized misogyny, double standards and deconstruction are concepts I learned these past years thanks to social media. So, why do I believe these types of Isekai novels that focus on villainesses are so relevant? Because we see other females’ points of view, we understand their positions and sometimes get to see that the true villains are other characters. Most of the villainesses of these works are, in fact, women with terrible social reputations who behave as anti-heroines at their worst.
There is a reason why the social settings of these stories are during past times. The authors of these works are deconstructing tropes from both old and new media. They are giving voices to Other Characters and show them in a realistic light, they write about flawed women who try to survive in a world full of unrealistic expectations, and that is true for both past and actual times.
It isn't hard for me to recall works such as Northanger Abbey or Jane Eyre. There are reasons why Period novels are still relevant these days, but that it’s not the topic I want to address in this essay. Here is this interesting article that analyses the success of Jane Austen works, while this note from the Guardian does the same for the Brontë sisters. Of course, experts and critics would get annoyed at me for putting Jane Austen and the Brontë Sisters on the same page, but please, bear with me: I’m talking about fictional works that deal with abuse, machismo, dysfunctional families and difficult childhoods, subjects still relevant to today. So, what’s so interesting about recalling these themes? It’s the way some Asian authors knew how to retake these stories, added some fantastical elements and still deconstructed others, providing us with a refreshing result.
Most of the isekai works I mentioned above are told from the point of view of young girls who are isolated for their social positions, because they come from other worlds and know that their ‘new bodies’ are doomed to die and more.
Imagine being reincarnated as the pretty daughter of a noble family and yet... you find yourself hated and isolated from others, in a situation you cannot control. And you can be murdered in cold blood if you don’t make the right choices. These works make it very clear some situations are ugly and dangerous. They are not painted in a romantic light. And the main characters acknowledge it.
Naturally, there are aspects we could criticize of these works. For example, the main leads usually are white thin ladies in gorgeous period dresses, who despite their issues still benefit from privileged backgrounds. And few of these works address LGTBQ+ representation, as most of the endgames are attractive male leads.
But then, this is not about pitting people against each other. It’s about acknowledging a new paradigm in story-telling, one that subverts and parodies plots.
Change is brought over by small steps. And I think we are going on a good path.

So, that argument I seen about how fans describe characters with stereotypes of YA western novels and that they should search the web for Wuxia/Xianxia tropes instead and apply those. I DISAGREE. I think people should just stop trying to just fit every character in tropes.
Yes, you may be more accurate with xianxia tropes that with western ones, but characters are usually more complex than a trope, and MXTX like to subvert those.
From applying xianxia tropes we get stupid takes in the fandom like demonic cultivation is BAD, makes people go crazy, destroys your golden core and/or prevents the reencarnation.
This kind of takes are common in fandom because it's how it works in most xianxia novels and shows, but is not how it works in mdzs and people would get that if instead of thinking about tropes focused on what the novel actually tells us.
So, yeah sure, search xianxia tropes if you want, it's actually interesting not just seeing how they can apply to characters, but also seeing when and how they DON'T, after all you need to know the tropes to fully appreciate when MXTX subverts them. Just stop trying to reduce characters to tropes, either western tropes or chinese tropes.
I AGREE |ʘ‿ʘ)╯ that you should always read the particular text and prioritize what that text tells you and how it frames things, because as you said, sometimes works subvert certain popular themes/archetypes etc! HOWEVER, I took that anon's meaning to be that if people want to draw comparisons, and go more in depth into things, they could look a little more into a general knowledge of cultivation themes, where the concept of cultivation comes from, heroic ideals (so they don't say stuff like -WWX forced his Golden core on jc without consent >:-/), maybe a general knowledge of Daoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, if their only lens is Christianity. A good work will generally give you everything you need to know about how to feel for the characters and events unfolding in it, however there's nothing wrong with getting more knowledge and enriching your understanding! - as long as you don't prioritize it over what the novel and author are trying to communicate when discussing that particular work. Knowledge should always give you a broader perspective not drive you to shove things into boxes even when they don't fit.
Also unorthodox paths are not always evil, or indicative of an evil character!

“Those just starting out with The Untamed may find themselves in a state of equal parts enamored and equal parts confused. For those that don’t know what we’re talking about, The Untamed is a Chinese fantasy and drama series adapted from the novel entitled Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation (Mo Dao Zu Shi) written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu.
One’s instant captivation comes from the show’s beauty. The actors, the set, the costumes – it’s all just simply stunning to watch. For some though, at least initially, there are moments of head scratching confusion. For those unfamiliar with Chinese culture, or the source material might be overwhelmed by all the names, the subtitles, and the fantasy lore that exists. However, a lot of the initial confusion in the first two episodes centers around Mo Xuanyu (Xiao Zhan) & Wei Wuxian (also played by Xiao Zhan). Here’s why: Mo Xuanyu, as himself, never actually appears in the show. Wei Wuxian is resurrected in Mo Xuanyu’s body after viewers watch Wei Wuxian die in the opening scene.
This is confusing because when Wei Wuxian is resurrected in Mo Xuanyo’s body, the actor doesn’t change. Xiao Zhan, who viewers see plunge off a cliff to his death as Wei Wuxian, wakes up as Wei Wuxian in Mo Xuanyu’s body. It could potentially take those who are totally new to the story some time to work this out, as the clues surrounding this change are subtle. So if he never actually appears in the show as himself, why is this guy so important to grasping the plotline of the story? Come with us as we teach you everything you need to know about Mo Xuanyu.
• On The Photo Above, Wei WuXian and Jin GuangYao.
• On The Photo Above, Lan WangJi and Mo XuanYu (Wei WuXian, reencarnated).
WHO IS HE ?
Like Jin Guangyao (Zhu Zan Jin), Mo Xuanyu is one of Jin Guangshan’s (Shen Xiao Hai) illegitimate sons. While it isn’t made clear in the show, the source material states that Jin Guangshan broke off the affair with Mo Xuanyu’s mother when he was four years old.
As he grew up, he earned himself quite a reputation in the cultivation community as somewhat of a lunatic. He was known within the community to be outwardly homosexual & developed quite a fascination with demonic cultivation. His family treated him poorly over the years & he suffered much verbal & physical abuse. Eventually, Mo Xuanyu had a complete breakdown. Elements of this are suggested in the show, but his history is never explicitly outlined in such detail. Eventually, completely tired of the abuse from his family, Mo Xuanyu summons Wei Wuxian into his own body in exchange for enacting revenge on his family. We say exchange loosely here, as Wei Wuxian, who had been dead for the last 13 years, had absolutely no say in the resurrection whatsoever.
HIS APPEARANCE.
In the show, we never get to see Mo Xuanyu’s original face, or his body, so we’ll never really know what he looks like. However, in the source material, Wei Wuxian makes a comment in chapter two that he thinks Mo Xuanyu has a nice looking face.
There is one signature thing Mo Xuanyu did in the source material that did make it into the show, even though we never actually get to physically see it. In the source material, Mo Xuanyu would often paint his face white and rouge his cheeks with the intention of making himself appear ghostlike. This is part of the reason why people thought he was a lunatic. While Wei Wuxian never does this after he is resurrected in Mo Xuanyu’s body, several characters mention it around him and question why his face isn’t painted. These comments clearly pay homage to this aspect of Mo Xuanyu’s character in the novel. In the show, when Wei Wuxian wakes up in Mo Xuanyu’s body, there is a mask next to his bed. He uses the mask to disguise his true identity, and because the people around him thought he was relatively nuts, no one really questions this decision. It becomes his signature garment for most of the show.
THE PARALLELS .
Although not considered to be actually crazy, like Mo Xuanyu was, Wei Wuxian is considered to be somewhat rebellious and silly. During the time he spends at Cloud Recesses as a teenager he finds himself in trouble with the Lan clan leaders on multiple occasions. His own brother, Jiang Cheng, thinks of him as something of a clown and has a hard time taking him seriously, often. Some of his peers find this endearing, such as Nie Huasang (fix name), and others find it annoying, such as Lan Wangji (initially, at least). This could be seen as a parallel between the two characters because it seems that they were both naturally out of the ‘ordinary’. Neither of them ever seemed to fit the ‘perfect’ cultivator persona, possibly foreshadowing both of their downfalls from the get-go.
• On The Photo Above, Wei WuXian (re-encarnated in Mo XuanYu’s body) with one the Junior Cultivators from the Gusu-Lan Sect, Lan ZuShui ...
Additionally, in the source material, Mo Xuanyu developed quite a fascination with demonic cultivation. In the show, Wei Wuxian ends up on the same path. Although their intentions surrounding demonic cultivation could be argued as different, the fact remains that they both dabbled in it. It could be argued that Mo Xuanyu actually chose Wei Wuxian for the task of enacting revenge on his family because of these two glaringly obvious parallels between both their characters.
• Bellow, Mo XuanYu transition to Wei WuXian
The source material also reveals that both characters are of the gay persuasion. Wei Wuxian is clearly into Lan Wangji, while Mo Xuanyu, unfortunately, developed feelings for his half-brother. It is unclear if this played a factor in Mo Xuanyu’s choice for resurrecting Wei Wuxian, or not. Understanding the connections between these two characters is crucial to making it out of the first couple of episodes confusion-free. Did you watch and feel like you were missing something? We challenge you to go back now that you’re armed with this information and try it, again. Drop a comment and let us know if it makes a difference to your viewing experience! “

HIIIIII I AM FINALLY FREE FROM THE HELL THAT WE REGULARLY REFER TO AS COLLEGE ALSO HAPPY PRIDE MONTH
briefly(3 weeks and 5 days to be precise) but anyway, im tired, there's one class that idk if im gonna fail but im just glad to be done with it for now
how have you been?? ive been thinking of talking to you for such a long while uuuggghhhh but n e ways, i hope youre doing great and send you tons and tons of hugs to make up for the time i've been gone
i'd tell you im gonna read the sxf manga rn but ive got so many things on my list and i havent progressed with any of them bc ive been gaming, there's kinnporsche, and cutie pie, and semantic error, an endless list of books, so many fics too, my three weeks and 5 days are not going to be enough for sure
yeah, s2 was way more messy, but well, it's fictional and enjoyable to watch, benedict i felt was 2 seconds away from jumping him but theyre cowards so i wasnt expecting it
did you end up finishing cbaw?? 👀 btw, im gonna watch fire island tonight bc of you reblogging so many things about it cause i hadnt heard of it at all
i havent read a single thing ugh, idk if i mentioned that i was reading vermillion bird but i havent even continued that one, even tho i watched the donghua and it was good as hell, at this point i wont even login to goodreads cause ill be too ashamed to see the 0/4
i didnt even know there was a semantic error novel lmao, i started the manhua and might watch the la soon but that might is quite stretched
i was reading the lady needs a break or something like that, ive seen so many variations of its english name, it's about this girl that has been reencarnated so many times, remembering every single life and is just done with life and wants to laze around but her plan keeps getting spoiled by her being unable to ignore situations that she sees as unfair or generally disagrees with as well as other plot reasons, i wouldnt say it's high literature or whatever but ive enjoyed reading it despite several moments where i just feel unimpressed lmao
smzs was fantastic, 100/10, so much fun :'3 i wanna watch it with my friends sometime soon but theyre still in classes so it's gonna have to wait
hearstopper ahhhh it was great and i cant wait to see what alice meant exactly with big asexual plans, need me that rep
did you hear about the bts hiatus-not-hiatus?? thoughts on that??? honestly i think they said it wasnt really a separation to bring down the chaos somewhat bc everyone was already crying their eyes out, i feel they went "sheesh" and backed up a bit lmao on a serious note tho im glad theyre taking a break, recently after the announcement i saw two reels that just made me get out of the saddened state, one was about how the op hoped somewhere in the multiverse jk got to live his childhood and the other one was that one time they realized they could go home directly after the shoot, they really have sacrificed so much of their time to this and it's heartbreaking bc yeh, it's their dream but it does not replace family and friends
also, i cant with the memes about joe biden being sold to bts, i think of them and laugh randomly through the day
and yes, i want to tattoo jin's speech in my forehead bc i need to remember it more often
FEVER BY ENHYPEN WAS A MOMENT, it's so fucking good, i think i said in my last ask but i really like their vampire/supernatural concept
i am eagerly awaiting holland's bl, idk what it's about but i hope it wrecks me
did you finish the god of highschool??? it's so fucking good and well, halfway through i BAWLED, damn i wanna rewatch it now, i LOVE the fight scenes and the op makes me wanna stand up and start kicking stuff
heavy by yonaka is so SEXY, makes me think of like a noir movie heroine
re:gooey by glass animal yeeeees indeed, it's just perfect for that, and i though more brownies buuuuuuuut chocolate deserts exactly 😌
sxf does not dissapoint EVER lmao, it's comedy gold and yeah, yuri pls chill, and the thing about anya's performance at school is just agh, cause, i dont remember if it's canon or if it was just an analysis i saw floating around on here, about her having lied about her age and it would add so much bc she's trying her best and i seriously understand trying your best and still not seeing the results you'd hope for and if she's younger then she's already doing so damn good for her age, not to mention that she was in a shitty af orphanage for who knows how long, i cant imagine she got good education there, so yeah it's comedy gold but it has so much heart, what a great show :'3
KJSDHJFSGJFG THE THING ABOUT MIKA SHOVING HIS FINGERS IN SOMEONE'S MOUTH SJHJSFHJFH THAT WAS SOMETHING OK BUT IM NOT GONNA SPOIL YOU BUT LIKE THAT WAS SOMETHING
ok i can be normal now(lie) djkfhjsdhfjd look, i, sdjkhsjfhd, it's something alright, and with context it's so fucking different but still kfhkdsf i cant wait for you to watch/read it, the manga has so many scenes that make me put my phone down to breathe and it's art style doesnt help, in the anime they look softer
and yes i think of you often <3 hope you're eating well and resting enough!
-M<3
i know ive done this many times, but id like to begin answering by apologizing for the delay[ik u said its okay but its fine if u were frustrated]
i really wish i couldve answered this a few weeks earlier because i wanted to wish you the happiest pride month with better months to come!! i hope it still holds true
BUT ALSO HELL YEAH WOOOO FREE FROM COLLEGEEEE!!!!
i do hope that class went well[on that note, smth similar happened to one of my subjects: long story short, it wasnt fine for a bit but now its fine-ish, if it was the same for u i hope it continues to be well and then better💗💗💗💗]
i have been well!!! ive been in good health but how have you been!!! i hope you see cats , and ice cream trucks/ or little convenience stores with reasonably priced ice creams and chocolates!!![if u hate both maybe drinks? u strike me as a fanta person] ive been thinking of ways to talk to u too!! but it istg tumblr has some agenda against me cause it glitches so weird!! truly home of phobia😔[NOW SEE,, if i posted this during pride month i couldve also landed a joke about "during pride month??". truly my own enemies art mine own actions]. i am hugging u rn so if you feel warm rn thats me!! and if u feel cold in ur hands thats me holding ur hand with my ice cold hands hehe[im distantly related to mbj. sorry🧊🧊<-ice demon emoji for hearts<3]
i have so much to get through and its very ❕❕❕❕❕[<-overwhleming] so im taking everything as slow as possible but i am watching a few things rn like cutie pie and sxf so i get u. but also do tell me ur thoughts on everything regardless!! i like knowing what u think!! [also on cutie pie: idk if u started but i did and i think its a pretty good show and i think u'd like it 🤗 ]
bro i totally thought that benedict was gonna join in and s2 would be those 3 navigating a queer poly relationship in s2 while dealing with societal rules and "decorum" as it was in the 1800s
i did not finish the cbaw kdrama[im kinda abandoning all the shows ive left in the middle and coming back to them fresh in a year or around that time ]
re: fire island. i aim to inspire😔
oh goodreads isnt even that social but boy does it bully you hfksjksf[changed my reading goal to 1 book and now im 1200% done<3<3 beat the system<3 or beat up the system<3]
by the sounds of it she needs a break sheesh. high literature is fake ,if its doesnt bring u joy in some sort of way approach it like a snake[with care and curiosity] and i will check it out[in the future!!]
ive rewatched smzs so many times it really doesnt get old🥰 hope u and ur friends get to see it while eating smth really good!![personal rec is soup cuz im a soup fanatic!][also teeny tiny story but i once watched a show when i was younger and very impressionable ,and one character mentioned hating soup and i was like "ykw i will also hate soup now" and i felt horrible for like a week after that cuz i love soup!! moral of the story: soup is about warmth and love and also a form of rebellion against the deep nihilism engraved in society]
whats ur favourite soup? mine is sweet corn soup cause i used to have it a lot as a kid! and rn i favour egg drop!
heartstopper ahhhh!! i wanna see what they meant by big asexual plans too!!
bts does need a hiatus just for like letting ppl get into the know about what all they done -bbmas, run bts, bon voyage, beyond the screen , in the soop, literally all the concerts, not including solo work and so much more . and its been 9 years since theyve debuted and like namjoon said its hard to improve or grow urself in a field of constant expectations, so if they go to paris or a museum im glad they want to share it as well yk?
writing this in small cause even though i mean this genuinely i also feel a bit cringe😭so like ik theyve sacrificed a lot , not a little ,a lot and even though theyve reached a level of success that is quite hard to achieve without real talent and a lot of support, i do wonder what wouldve happened in another world if they didnt decide to pursue their current career. and yk. i hope theyre happy in both. also i hope in another world we wouldve crossed paths a little closer, m.
hope joe robinette can finally pay those student loans😢 and gets to live his best reverse harem explicit lemon 100k wip wattpad fanfic<3
ooooh wait if i also tattoo it on my brain😳😳 we'll have matching tattoos😳
i dont follow enhypen but yes it was a MOMENT i remember the first time i heard fever i was like "waiiiiittt a sec"
NOTE: above image is supposed to represent my enthusiasm about the song and nothing else. thank u for ur time
wait didnt holland release a song for it!!! im listening to it rn and its a freaking bop!!!
i couldnt start the god of highschool ( ̄ ‘i ̄;) but bro . bro why did it make u cry. bro answer me [<- person who is even more motivated to start it once they have enough time]
oooh i do like noir movie heroine!! and also . thats kinda a spot on vibe??
dude i kinda made a mistake associating that song with brownies/desserts cuz now whenever i hear that song im hungryyyy
anya! is ! such ! a ! cool ! character! the thing is idk if shes actually younger than six but if she is then she is technically performing better than any average child at that age would be[when i was six we already started multiplication and also at six i had an impulse to lick window cause of hansel and gretel<3] and shes just so near and dear to my heart💗💗 and also theres this thing about loid being an exemplary spy , but still fatherhood being his toughest mission like iktr
mika shoving his fingers in someones mouth is a spoiler therefore implying major plot significance got ya😊👍🏾
i might actually read the manga before the anime cause im a sucker for cool art [love animation too but as i said , im kinning a snail for the next few months<3 ]
i think of u quite often and hope ur well safe and have lots of food!!!
a song rec: every pore by tamino
love, kit
idk if u wanted to know and i feel. a bit weird about sharing this at all but the main reason for not answering this in so long is cause im in a weird headspace. which haha i mean who isnt right? but a lot of things changed in two months and like i can feel im in that stage you are right before a huge burnout and im trying to not? burnout? and my support system rn isnt the best rn and yea. im doing less than ok but just above being crushed. hopefully it passes and also hope this never happens in mine or anyones life again lol
making u read that might have u bummed out but if u read that [firstly sorry] [and secondly just, thank u for sending that first ask at all<3][my good bitch what do you want for your birthday][i think of u everyday lol][and also these last few months ive learnt to say i love you more freely without it being some huge moment at all, so i'd like to say: i love you. i truly do. idc that we've never seen each other. if u ever feel lonely just know that im rooting for u forever][💗💗💗💗💗]

Merecemos algo mejor. Merecemos poder elegir. Sólo así sería mas justa.
In last years, it’s common to see romantic/paranormal novels that include reincarnation. With no doubt, few authors believe in eternal love more than me: but, however, in none of my horror or romantic novels it appears. There are a multitude of reasons behind this: I give a few.
Christianity says that the price of each sin is paid by death: that is why reincarnation does not exist, at least as a general rule. My analysis is another. You have no blame of what you made in a supposed previous life, so you haven't to pay for it in this one. If you meet the love of your life, do you really want to born again and forget her to meet another instead of being together forever? What sense has to found her again as your mother-in-law or any other person and not as your wife, and marry another giving rise to an spiritual adultery? To forget your beloved fathers, parents, friends, to meet anothers? You really think to be comdemned to reach perfection suffering life over life is justice? Have any sense to be forced to reach an idea of perfection based in the absolute desvinculation between you and your physical behing althoug human being is composed by soul and body? If you think about it, reencarnation is bloodcurdling. We deserved something better. We deserve to be able to choose. Only then would it be more fair.

Reseña Anime: Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken
https://ift.tt/2WiAQyk
// Genero: Fantasia
// Director: Yasuhito Kikuchi // Estudios: 8bit
// Nº Episodios: 25 // Año: 2018
// Sinopsis //
// Impresiones //
// Conclusión //
// Calificación: 7/10 //
