Are you reelin' in the years? Stowin' away the time? Are you gatherin' up the tears? Have you had enough of mine?

Sometimes written "Reeling in the years" and released as the second single from their debut album in 1972, "Can't buy a thrill"!! It peaked at number 11 in the US and 15 in Canada.

Your everlasting summer And you can see it fading fast, So you grab a piece of something That you think is gonna last. Well, you wouldn't even know a diamond If you held it in your hand; The things you think are precious, I can't understand.

third blink au fillmore listened to steely dan’s 1973 “can’t buy a thrill” and decided that it was his Breakup Album. his copy is well loved, and it has a lot of tear stains on it.

ridi i know you're not an s blogger but i value your wealth of knowledge, what is your opinion on sirius and tattoos bc to me it does not seem feasible he got them in azkaban of all places and if he does have them he likely got them before. do you picture him with tattoos at all what are your thoughts on this pressing issue
hello! well i can certainly try 2 weigh in. admittedly i have a habit of forgetting the tattoos...but for sure i think he has them b4 '81 i think it starts with scraggly terrible stick and pokes with j in the bathroom as school where they are scratching each others names into their skin and then i think he carries on getting them where j doesnt especially at the height of british punk. i think he would like that very much what better way to destroy s the heir right. not exactly sure what he would get...i think as he gets older he would put more thought into what he gets but i also do not think he is the sort of person who needs his tattoos all to have very profound meanings. he would get something for r though. not sure what

Can't Buy A Thrill
Paul Fitzpatrick: London In 1980 the late Ian MacDonald one of the UK’s most respected music journalists included the following in his review of Steely Dan’s Gaucho album,“Crassness is contagious. Fortunately, so is intelligence – which is why listening to Steely Dan is good for you”Smart guy MacDonald… he got it.The band who named themselves after a steam-powered dildo from a William Burroughs…
