If Rae does somehow return to her world in the sequels, and if Key manages to follow her, the funniest thing that could happen is a bunch of in universe fans recognizing him as the Emperor.

Like I doubt he’d just show up as some guy when he arrives. The sky’s gonna turn red and he’ll be in his whole get up, Longing for Revenge and a pack of ghouls in tow,, and he’s gonna stir up a huge media frenzy.

And then some in universe fans will debate if it’s an elaborate hoax involving a movie studio or a group of very dedicated cosplayers. Meanwhile, others create pages that report sightings of him like he’s a cryptid or post footage like he’s a kpop idol with fancams. Either way, the discourse on stanning him will intensify, and without fail, there will still be someone making edits of him.

And as Rae quietly recovers with her sister by her side, what pops onto the tv? A news segment on her SITUATIONSHIP!!!

Then she checks her phone and her feed is no longer Time of Iron actors or fan art. Instead it’s the dude she made a blood oath with and who returned from the dead for her, and how the hell is she supposed to cope with that when people are making videos using songs like Juno??

Alice is horrified for her sister and of course, she now has to contend with the fictional character and now boyfriend/fiancé that she called creepy.

No amount of reaction memes can sum up what they feel, but Rae has to give it to the fans. There’s a lot… And maybe one or two got a laugh out of her.

You know that thing where you finish a book you just REALLY VIBE WITH and it becomes your entire personality for the next few days?

I am so invested in this story about a story within a story that alters stories and I can't believe we have to wait until next September to get the next book. I think it's brilliant. I love these characters and I NEED to know where it goes next and THIS. STORY. HAD. EVERYTHING. It's got high fantasy sword-and-sorcery prophecies, game of thrones level scheming, a ball, assassins, fanged war horses with ridiculous names, flowing gowns and cursed families, the special kind of bond between sisters, a loyal psychopath, tropes upon tropes...

I know a lot of people aren't into the whole isekai/litrpg/the character knows they're in a made-up story kind of thing but oh boy this one was incredibly well done in my opinion.
