The DAMN Squad would have to fucking wrestle and take down Freelancer just to force them to Eat a proper meal.

It’s the stupidest shit but Freelancer would be like “I’m in the zone come back later” even though they’ve been working nonstop for hours and they WILL fight back if forced out of their room so it’s just a full 5 v 1, and while you think this would leave freelancer at a disadvantage- it is, in truth, not even fucking enough people to keep them down

As a bisexual with a raging hand fetish, when men, women, and everyone in between or outside of wear rings, it is something glorious.

But as much as I would adore every character wearing rings, I just don't personally believe they all do. Could they all pull it off? Abso-fucking-lutely.

But here's my opinions that no one asked for but people are getting regardless. Starting off strong with the Shaw Pack. (I'll do the listeners in part two)

David - I'm sorry but the only ring he wears and is going to wear is his engagement/wedding ring. No matter how much Angel wishes he would wear others.

Asher: no rings, but his nails are always manicured. He loves getting designs done. (Besides wedding ring ofc)

Milo - thumb rings. That's all I have to say. He wears a promise ring on his thumb since he doesn't want people to think he's married since he and Sweetheart agreed that marriage wasn't for them.

Christian - he likes wearing rings on his middle fingers and pinkies.

Arden - nah.

Amanda - she gives off bracelet vibes.

DAMN SQUAD (+ Cam) -

Gavin - he's got the rings that have chains to connect it to the bracelet. He knows he has nice hands and likes to accentuate it in whatever ways possible.

Lasko - he had a fidget ring on his thumb of his non dominant hand so whenever he is talking someone he can spin that bitch like a record player

Damien - I wanna say yes, but he wouldn't. The metal would take longer to cool off and it would just be a pain. He doesn't know when he's going to have high emotions that raise his temp.

Huxley - no. The rings would get dirty if he was digging in the dirt and he doesn't want to dirty them because that "like, not very cool to do ya know dude?"

Caelum - Freelancer once tied a piece of string around his finger and he shows it off everywhere he goes because it's his favorite piece of jewelry.

Cam - yes. He wears fidget rings but they only exist to gift to his more anxious charges so he can help them. It's easier to keep them on hand for when needed. (Haha get it?)

Sovereign-related storylines (+ Hush) -

Elliot - yes. I can't really explain why but he gives like twisted metal delicate ring vibes. He definitely has pinkie rings, if not others.

Blake - as much as I want to say yes because I adore him... No. he doesn't. 😭 He feels it would get in the way of him tracing the designs on his listeners skin. Plus if he's touching them, he doesn't want anything between him and them, rings included.

Avior - Yes. Very much yes. Yes bark bark grrr woof bark awoo

Vega - considering he doesn't really care for human materialism, I don't see him wearing rings. Unfortunately. Fingers crossed that Warden convinces him to.

Brachium - yet another I wish was true but he hasn't ever been to the mortal realm in person so he's never had the opportunity to try rings. I think he would look nice in them though. 👉👈

Hush - he seems to be having an interest in humanity, so I can see him exploring it. He figured out rope knots so he obviously been researching. So yeah, I could see him playing with rings.

Unempowered (+ Morgan for organization) -

Aaron - No he doesn't. I can't explain why but he doesn't give me that vibe.

Ollie - yes. But for one reason. Erik said Ollie is most like himself and Erik wears rings. (Does that make me simp for his hands? Perhaps. but that doesn't matter nor is it something I will ever put where he will see it.)

Guy - I'm going to say yes. He consistently takes them off and tries to use them as currency to Honey so he can have the hoodie. He takes them off before going to work since he works with his hands (ehhhn)

Ivan - sometimes. It's not a habitual wearing, but rather needs a reason.

Geordi - he used to. Then they felt like they weighed his hands down too much. He talks with his hands a lot, he's very expressive.

Morgan - No. Another that doesn't give me that vibe.

Vampires -

Vincent - Yes. He was the reason I made this post because I wanted to talk about how fucking amazing he would look in rings. 🤤🤤🤤

Sam - He doesn't seem much of a ring person for some reason. He would look good in one, especially when driving.

William - Yes. He likes to buy one at each turn of a half century. He has favorite ones he wears all the time. They have big jewels and are older than most vampires in his clan.

Adam - he only lost his head, not his hands. He was wearing spooooky rings when he died. (Plus he liked the way Lovely shuddered ever so slightly when the cold metal of his rings dug into their skin just before he bit them. ... God I'm a simp)

Quinn - yes. Just... Yes. He also had those full finger rings. The ones that have claw at the end, you know what I mean. He wears those to draw blood from his victims needlessly. It only serves to bring them pain. (I'm going to hell for this thirst)

Alexis - yes. It makes her feel superior to have pretty things.

Edit:

James - he only really wants to wear his wedding ring. He only wears other rings to make people believe all his rings are decoration and people don't go looking for his partner.

Marcus - no. I don't know why but no

Anton - also no. He could look nice in them though I think.

Brian - his wedding ring. That's it.

Xavier - before he died, he wore rings when he wasn't playing. He didn't mind the cold material.

This is bc I might have POTS

And i crave the unlimited patience and love and connection the DAMN squad has and would have with freelancer if they were having a flare up.

When they need to lay on the ground because the world was going dark, Damian would be there holding their hands to keep them grounded.

When they need to slam down a salt packet, Huxley and Dear cheer them on like they are at a sports game.

Gavin having unlimited patience for their bad days and staying in bed with them, holding them tight and muttering sweet nothings like “its okay to take a day off” and “your body is telling you to rest, there isn’t anything bad in listening to it”

OMG Lasko helping them set up their accommodations for school and helping enforce them when their teachers just say to drop a class.

when they need to lay down for a few minutes. Caelum is there to keep in yapping so they dont start overthinking.

None of them treating Freelancer like a kid because they need to sit down every once in a while. None of them excluding Freelancer because they cant go out that night.

Redacted boys as book boyfriend tropes ~

David: The Mafia Boss. Definitely would be a scene where he saves Angel from an enemy and he accidentally lets out his feelings for them in his panicked state. How did Angel get involved with the mafia? Who knows, they’re Angel.

Asher: The Jock. Definitely thinking like a high school, college setting. Asher’s popular and seems to know everyone, Babe’s the nerdy/shy student that catches his eye.

Milo: The celebrity. He’s stylish and confident and Sweetheart doesn’t care about any of that because they are simply their to be his extremely badass bodyguard. (This could work both ways tbh)

Vincent: The Prince (obviously). He’s arranged to marry someone else when lovely catches his eye out in the village and there is definitely a scene involving a masquerade ball with a disguised lovely as his date.

Sam: Enemy’s to Lovers. HEAR ME OUT. That trope where the hero turns up to the villains door covered in blood (or vice versa) and the other patches them up? Yup Sam and Darlin’. Queue the ‘who did this to you?’ line.

Guy: Friends to lovers. As is the same in canon except it’s an extreme slow burn. Guy acts as Honeys wingman even though he’s in love with them. There’s a big scene where Honey realises that the person they’ve been looking for was there all along.

Vega: ‘He hates everyone but me’ (that’s it that’s the trope)

Aaron: The millionaire CO of his tech company and Smartass is his new assistant… Definitely a miscommunication trope in their somewhere and a heated argument where Smartass quits but it just ends in them smooching.

thank you to @sclairereject for the inspiration for the post, because i never have anything to post about half the time. however as someone who does do tarot (i'm spiritual), i wanna put my own twist to this. (ppl have their own interpretations, but the cards still have definitions)

I'd also like to say that these are just my takes, and things that I've noticed and felt. I don't have everyone on here, as I got tired writing this halfway through, so I don't have everyone on here.

SHAW PACK:

David Shaw is the Magician, specifically because he was trying to find his power and voice as leader, in which he did.

Milo Greer is the Chariot, because of sense of direction and will power. He tries his best to do what's right, even if it hurts him in the process.

Asher Talbot is the Strength card, due to his overcoming self-doubt, his compassion, and his bravery in situations. In reverse, this card represents self-doubt, lack of confidence, and vulnerability.

SOLAIRE CLAN

Vincent is the Lovers card, standing by his personality alone, resembling unity, balance, partnerships, and choices.

Sam is the Justice card, associated with fairness, truth, balance, and legal matters. I feel like Sam genuinely cares about what's right, and wants to help no matter what, even if he says he wants to stay out of things. He has this sense to try to make things right, even if things may get rocky. He's a healer by heart, and tries his best to do what's best for everyone in a situation.

William is the Hierophant, it is associated with education, knowledge, traditions, and institutions. I dont really have a reason for this one other than vibes.

Alexis the Judgement card, due to her past actions as well as her personality. This card represents reflection, rebirth, transition, and decision-making. In reverse, this card represents self-doubt, poor choices, stubbornness, blame, and confusion.

Porter is the Tower card. It represents trauma, destruction, unexpected change, revelation, chaos, awakening, and warning. We know that Porter is in fact "The Blade" of the Solaire Clan, and we know that he somewhat regrets it in some way, as well as him having trauma from this and his maker.

DAMN SQUAD

Gavin is The World, as it symbolizes success, fulfilment, and an end of a cycle. I feel like this represents him due to his change with the Freelancer, him being able to open up and enjoy his life with them and his friends. Gavin never really considered Aria his home, but more so just a place he lived at. In his SBW, he talks about how Dhalia has become his home, as Freelancer and the DAMN squad had helped him change his view on it (as well as change him).

Damien is the Sun, mostly in reverse, this academic over-achiever has a little bit of an ego. He's also quite pessimistic and has unrealistic expectations that were set on him by other people. However, the Sun is also associated with positivity, happiness, freedom and vitality. Which I think Damien has learned throughout his years of being friends with the Freelancer, that it's okay to take a break sometimes and just have fun.

Huxley is the Star, as he tries to maintain his happy and positive self for everyone else, turning to inspire others and give them hope with their problems. However Huxley also experiences negativity, hopelessness, failure. I think Huxley somewhat feels like the things in life get too repetitive, and he sometimes loses interest in certain things or just becomes bored with them from a tedious routine.

And finally Lasko, is the Fool, mostly from vibes, however The Fool is an air element card, which represents new beginnings, a leap of faith, and loyalty. Lasko sees the DAMN squad as family, in which he's very loyal to. I feel like during his time at DAMN, he's experienced time after time a new beginning, from Damien and him becoming friends to him and Coworker having a relationship.
